    Now about the content of the sh.. I mean the game. It's F4 but worst in every single aspect.     So disappointed in Bethesda. They had the opportunity to make a great game and gave us a sandbox. I cannot imagine they put as much time and effort into this game as they did the previous games in the series. I was seriously looking forward to this game and having the urge to return a Fallout game kills me.

    I've tried this game for over a week and I can't get into it. Bethy has stripped every that made their games unique for an empty world. After the initial story quest of following the Overseers tapes, they just expect you to wander across the factions and other quests without any hints.

    This game is absolutely terrible. Everything about, from the bugs to gameplay. Absolutely bad. Everything they promised at E3 was thrown down the drain. But hey, At least they earned an Award. The 3rd most discussed game of 2018. Don't take it as a nice title, Todd.

    One of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had. After the disappointment that was Fallout 4, I was hopeful a complete change in style and execution could turn things around for this franchise, but this game is a total disaster; it's barely a game.

    Where do I begin? It feels like an unfinished demo, or an Alpha version of a game that still has years of work left to go into it. The    One of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had. After the disappointment that was Fallout 4, I was hopeful a complete change in style and execution could turn things around for this franchise, but this game is a total disaster; it's barely a game.

    Where do I begin? It feels like an unfinished demo, or an Alpha version of a game that still has years of work left to go into it. The "quests" are monotonous and repetitive fetch quests which just have you going from computer terminal to computer terminal, listening to holotape after holotape and it never gets more interesting than that.

    The horrid, amazingly awful crafting system from 4 has been double downed on here, and makes a gloriously abysmal return to the franchise. I was really hoping to see less crafting in Fallout moving forward, or at least have it be made totally optional, but once again Bethesda is forcing us to experience their "Open World MMORPG" their way, not our way.

    This studio seems to have lost the plot. I really don't think they understand what made their previous games so successful, and what fans are looking for in their gameplay experience. I played this game twice before deciding to return it for a full refund (thankfully I ordered a physical copy).

    Another major flaw with the game is the fact that you cannot avoid trolls. Trolling is to be expected on any online game, but when you're trying to complete a quest, and a higher level player keeps spawn killing you, where is the fun in that? It's impossible to make any progress, and turns the game into a frustrating, exhausting experience.

    They have a "Pacifist Mode" which when activated, makes you totally defenseless to other players. I'm not kidding, literally you can still be attacked, but you are not able to harm any other players with the mode turned on. Someone, anyone, tell me the point of this feature. I really don't get it. It's maybe the most confounding feature of any video game I've ever played. A feature designed to make yourself an easier target, instead of blocking attacks from other players.

    These are just a few examples of how disastrously awful this game is. And it adds insult to injury that in less than two weeks of the game being released, it went on sale for nearly half the price, when I paid full price for this junk, along with many other players. Bethesda is quickly losing my faith and respect, and I'm very cautious and scared about Elder Scrolls 6 at this stage. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. You'll thank me for it.    … Expand

    This game is full of Bugs, Graphics are so outdated. The server is dropping all the time and the NPC's are so broken and brain dead. I will be playing fallout 4 instead. with Fallout 76 I have played hours and I am so bored and having no Fun. Please avoid this game like the plague. 1/10

    I am a fan of Fallout and Fallout 76. Yet that changed because the glitches are so bad and the updates are so small and fix nothing I would never suggest this game. The glitches are game breaking which includes infinite health enemies, GOD mode players that don't take any damage and glitches that will not let you respawn. On top of that crashing is really bad and will crash your who XboxI am a fan of Fallout and Fallout 76. Yet that changed because the glitches are so bad and the updates are so small and fix nothing I would never suggest this game.     I’ve played fallout 3, new Vegas, and 4. I love fallout. Fallout 76 is garbage plain and simple. I do not find it fun at all. From the pain in the but drink and eat you have to maintain to ammo weight. The bugs are also horrible.

So many things broken in this game, I don't know where to start. Worst insult to this franchise I've ever seen. Save your money and get Fallout 3, New Vegas, or even Fallout 4.     Ive been a Elder scrolls/Fallout player since Elder Scrolls 5 and have always looked forward too and been so overly indulged in these game am actually physically stunned at how spastic and autistic this game truly is, I honestly hope the company gets the huge lawsuit that they are so about to receive very very soon.

    Lastly a hope the community will unite and see how much we were all lied too by Bethesda, using the fallout title and skin and creating a new fallout game does not make a defining game to last the decades, also as a computing programmer myself i understand how difficult it is to create games such as these - its some serious space age faeces people, however this product was rushed for release to compete with the likes of RDR2, which failed worse than the Portuguese polices attempt to find maddy, shocking display Bethesda you should be Fkn ashamed, deserve all the hate that you have received and are still about to receive.    … Expand

    Why would i want to pay full price for a game that has decade old graphics and the same boring gameplay? Fallout4 barely held my interest due to the terrible graphics, this game several years later looking like a DLC for fallout4, no. This is garbage, my score is zero, i would give negative if i could for how broken and unfinished it is

    The game overall is incomplete, has no story, no end game content and Bethesda makes a great effort micromanaging it's player base: -Fully repaired weapons would break after first shot -Mutations we're disabled and only provided a negative effects -I was locked off from getting certain build plans -Low level    I've done about +100 hours in game to give it a chance, due to bad press.

    -I was locked off from getting certain build plans

    -Friend was banned because I blew up a low level griever

    -My alternative character's also suffered from the same things

The world is void of life, PvP is pointless and the servers or what Bethesda call "dedicated servers" are awful and have took me out of the game many times. Quests are just fetchfests with no meaning or cause and there's no story in this game at all. No NPC's just crappy holotapes that no one focuses on. This game is just a shamble and shouldn't be £49.99 at this stage of it's development. It should be more half that if not £20 early access garbage that creeps around lately. I have nothing good to sat about this game. Bethesda need to innovate and either update their game engine or make a new one as their games look like things (Apart from F04) from PS3/X360 era. Developers need to stop shipping half finished games, then promise to fix the problems within 1-2 years when most of the player base has moved on. We want the product we're promised and support on day 1 then you may have the right to bring DLC/expansions to add game time. Players deserve more when the fact developers are able to make video games in the first place or sequels is thanks to the consumers.

    From the clunky design logic to the tedious game-play, I cannot fathom a rescue for this title. Glitches are no longer a source of humor when they utterly and completely destroy the experience at large. MP for the sake of MP is absurd. “Misery loves company” is not a valid game experience platform. From the very start, it seems to be a beta posing as a final release. The producers are more or less demanding 100% dollars for 25% game.

    As a manager of software development teams I can assure you that multiple trains went off of numerous rails during the FO76 SDLC. I would surely love to see the integration test construct that was utilized (or wasn’t as the case may be). Does anybody at Bethesda understand UX? Clearly bad decisions were made from one end of the spectrum to the other. Most often, abysmal failures can turn into great opportunities. BGS has produced top-notch products in the past, here’s hoping they return to what made them great.    … Expand

    Bethesda should shame alot for this. I will never buy a game made or published by bethesda anymore!

    This is the biggest joke i ever saw in game industry in the 25 years i play games.

    I love their games in the past but this one has really ticked me off. I had to spend 40 mins getting in contact with xbox support to find this game will only run with xbox live.

    It's not clearly readable.

    Well i have been renting games for 3 days before buying them lately. Tired of paying upwards of 70 bucks for a dog. Thank GOODNESS I rented this game first cause WOOOOOOOOF!

    I am huge fallout series fan. But after a few hours.... this game is simply BORING. Games i thought were supposed to be fun but then again who am I to judge. Rent this and you will be grateful you did. Will    Well i have been renting games for 3 days before buying them lately. Tired of paying upwards of 70 bucks for a dog. Thank GOODNESS I rented this game first cause WOOOOOOOOF!

    From day one the game was as buggy as heck, the worst I have ever seen but I was willing to put up with it for a while. There is no story, no end game and not a lot to do other than very repetitive "go here & find this" missions but often the glitches in the game meant having to repeat the mission as you didn't get the reward. This is a perfect example of how NOT to make a game.

    Following a server crash in early December I have now been unable to connect to the servers for 2 months & Bethesda support has been useless & often going in little circles. Every update I am sent back to square one with the customer support or told to ask the retailer for a new game code as Bethesda are not responsible for issues with codes purchased through a third party.
    The Game is awful & should be pulled, the customer service is worse. In order to get a refund I am now seeking legal advice as the game is not fit for purpose, is not as originally advertised & does not meet the promises made by Bethesda over graphics quality. The gaming engine is the same as fallout 3 & is very outdated, Bethesda are trying to milk a cow that died years ago.

    My once beloved company Bethesda finally broke down and released this Micro-transaction cash-grab of a "service". The amount of issues regarding the Power Armor Edition, the thousands of bugs, the old and broken Creation Engine, Oh my god.

    Bethesda used Fallout 76 to get their producers to pay for more studios it seems.

    30$ to play 2 hours of whatever that was. The funny part is that I spent 3/4 of that time playing the barman mini-game instead, and that was before I opened the vault door.

    There is absolutely nothing to keep in that game

    One of the worst games ever made. I have only played it for an hour in the final BETA version but it hasn't changed since then. The graphics are a decade out of date, everything is clunky and the story is non existent. PVP doesn't exist even though it's an online game only. This is the biggest scam in history which is no shock seeing as it comes from the greedy thieves over at Bethesda

    The servers are incredibly unstable and drop connections frequently. The VATS system is shoe-horned in and is an absolute joke. The story and endgame are an incredibly watered-down version of what a Fallout story should be like, with a lot of survival crafting getting in the way.

    It's clear Bethesda do not care about the Fallout IP anymore. If they can't be bothered to develop an even half-way decent Fallout title, then they don't deserve your money.    … Expand

At level one I had to fight something 15 levels above me to advance in the story, literally impossible. Insane number of glitches (game says do this, I try to do it but suprise it doesn’t work.     If you want to spend 1/2 of your time logging back into the game, this is the game for you. The game is full of bugs that stop gameplay, either it will kick you or you will choose to restart. The game freezes often and can cause you to lose your place in the quest where you have to start all over again after spending so much time preparing for it.     I have been in vault since 1998, the only game that i had was fallout 1 and 2. So, now it's 2023, i going from vault and what i see? A stupid game with 0 rpg choises and empty world

    Another **** cash grab by Bethesda. The only reason to play this game over fallout 4 is because of the multiplayer. I would pick fallout 4 any day over this as it doesn't suck me into quests. Fallout 4 also has good factions rather than you being solo other than the online.

    But it’s hard to feel as if you’re truly affecting the world when there are no NPCs to express satisfaction or disdain, or to be directly influenced by your actions. Even killing feels hollow. Some of my best battles in Fallout 4 came when I stumbled across an outpost and found there a raider in there; he’d yell and scream at me as we were facing off. The Scorched, while armed, feel like nothing more than zombies.

    The addition of multiplayer feels as though it comes at the expense of Fallout’s memorable story-driven moments. What good is a vast map full of players if they're given little to no purpose? When no other players are around, the game’s world feels almost empty. The attention-grabbing locales and landmarks add to Appalachia's charm, but it's difficult to not wish for living, breathing characters to inhabit it. Post-apocalyptic West Virginia is described as a wasteland, and this term paints an inadvertent but accurate picture of what Fallout 76 is right now.

    If you enjoy multiplayer games of this type and are willing to overlook the engine anomalies, you may find yourself rapidly addicted to the game's exploration density and loot systems. If you're easily frustrated by bugs and issues, you may want to sit tight a bit to see what Bethesda does to polish things up, cus oh boy, it could use a bit right now. If you're a fan of the single player, branching narrative the series is known for, you'll want to wait for Fallout 5.
