    Performance:
    The first noticeable issues with this game are performance issues: extremely low frame rates, freezes, game crashes, hard crashes (shuts off Xbox). All of these occur while doing general tasks such as driving and walking around the city. Issues become worse during combat making shooting, melee, and hacking unbearable to do. Poor render distances make the game ugly. NPCs pop in just a few feet in front of you, cars despawn 50 feet down the road and will be rendered as 2D images from a far enough distance, and flat textures plague the game. Certain areas of the game still guarantee a 100% chance to crash the game such as the market closest to V's apartment.

    Controls and Gameplay:
    Calibrating your controls just to feel like a standard FPS is an absolute nightmare. The control settings are derivative and convoluted with "Turning Bonus", "Turning Ramp-up Time", and "Turning Delay". ADS sensitivity does not apply to pistols making it extremely difficult to aim with them. Aim assist while ADS feels non existent. Overall gunplay and recoil patterns feel clunky and awkward, and in addition to being bogged down by performance issues makes it unenjoyable just to shoot enemies. Hand to hand combat is terrible with enemies that have incredibly telegraphed attacks to the point where they look slow motion, but are irrelevant because they have homing kicks and punches. It makes the back and forth of blocking, parrying, and dodging boring and ultimately useless (Just play through the side mission Beat on the Brat and realize how bad it is). The game needs a lock on system where you can focus singular enemies.

    Side Missions and Progression:
    Overall progression in this game was not well thought out. Side missions are handed out constantly through phone calls and against your will with no way to deny them. Even from characters you have never met before who speak to you as if they know you (issue with Nomad/Street Kid/Corpo story continuity). This spams your journal with missions and becomes overwhelming. The main story is too short in comparison to the amount of side missions and gigs you can do. If you are a completionist or even half of one, you will find yourself leveling up fast but you make the main story missions trivial because you can finish the game at only level 20 (max level is 50). The mission difficulties ranging from very low to very high are sporadically scattered throughout the map and offer a mess of trying to manage when to take on certain enemies, missions, etc. Level scaling would fix these problems. Levels attached to enemies would also be helpful because either they have a red skull (very hard) above them or nothing. Some side missions are broken and cannot be started/finished such as the Distressed Man mission (which therefore restricted my access to a ripperdoc for the entire game).

    Main Story and Characters:
    This is the reason why I kept playing this game. You basically get to play a movie/Netflix series with wonderful characters, meaningful missions and relationships tied to them, character development, funny and surprising interactions, and a decent amount of impactful choices (although a lot of it is an illusion as it is with most RPG games). I loved doing the storylines for the characters you meet and the connections you build with them as a result. Most of them were satisfying and all of them were entertaining. The world building is fantastic and you can get lost in all of the lore delivered through dialogue or data shards.

    Final Thoughts:
    This game is plagued by way too many issues to be considered good or even acceptable on console. I want this game to succeed, it's why I played it for so long. But CDPR knew what they were doing when they obviously manufactured pre-release console gameplay in the shadiest of ways. It was unready and this is shown through the abysmal gameplay on all consoles except for the Xbox Series X and PS5. Even the most powerful console before Fall 2020 (Xbox One X) could not run this poorly optimized garbage well. The experience was below average thus it gets a 4/10.    … Expand

    Played on a XBSX had to reload from saves a few times but over all was a passable game. Didn't feel like a triple A studio. If it was an indie the sins would of been forgiven.

    Visually it's stunning but the gameplay is not very good at all. Keanu Reeves's role is just a gimmick and the bugs and constant updates make it unbearable

    Pre-ordered, had my expectations in check, and knew what I was getting into.

    Nope.

    This game is a mess. I played it on the Xbox One X and it is a technical disaster. Do not buy this game. At some point it will likely be worth your money, but today is not that day.

    The release date quality of Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One is totally unacceptable. CD Projekt deserves to be ruined if they don't do something on the development side to fix this situation.

    I will get this out of the way at the top: without all the bugs and crashes and technical issues, I'd say this game would easily be a 9/10 or so. From the 2/3rds of the game I got to play that were almost bug free for me on the Series X, I was heavily drawn into the world and most of its characters, with a combat system that I personally enjoyed. From the 2/3rds of the game I got to play that were almost bug free for me on the Series X, I was heavily drawn into the world and most of its characters, with a combat system that I personally enjoyed. Things like quests and the conversations had a very Skyrim feel to them and I really got invested in alot of the things that were happening. I really didnt like the main character, V, though as he really changes personalities from the main story missions and the side missions. They always felt like a gangster wannabe punk that I never gelled with at all. Also the AI for the enemies is just so bad. Never felt like they really understood anything they were supposed to do the entire game. Never really used cover or extra attacks unless they were specifically the hacker who was meant to do that. But those two things on their own wasnt enough to ruin the experience for me.
    Once I hit Act 3, my shiny almost bug free experience with the game went straight out the window. I once crashed 4 times in a row during the same mission, but not once at the same point, causing me to put it down for the day. The number of characters I saw in T-poses and glitching through doors and getting stuck in the air when they jumped just skyrocketed after I hit that point. It doesnt help either that Act 3 is literally 95% side missions with alot of the best ones in the entire game. They were the missions I had been actively trying to get to for most of the game, until the high amount of glitches took me out of it. I literally just tried to just finish up the main story missions a few minutes ago just to complete the game but it crashed twice on me before the final part. I think i'm done with this game until they fix this absolute mess. There's so much wrong here that I dont know if the 2 months worth of patches alone will fix this. And I cant even imagine someone who has a base Xbox 1 trying to even attempt to play this if it was this bad on a Series X. I gave it the score I did because I really did enjoy the parts I could play. But this deserves a 0 based on the lies CDPR spewed out before launch trying to just sell units.     This score applies to the One X version, not base consiles. Bottom line...If you have an Xbox One X you’re fine. Game runs acceptably throughout, looks relatively good, though nowhere near what was accomplished in Gears 5 and Doom Eternal. Played for about 15 hours, I haven’t had a single crash. Yes, there are bugs, but none are game breaking so far. Story is decent, the world is well developed, the mechanics are fine, but there also isn’t anything groundbreaking or mind blowing. It’s a good game, but nothing is truly exceptional.

    That being said, if you have a base console, however, stay away. 15fps and 720p is unacceptable on every level.    … Expand

    I play this on the Xbox Series X, and I have to say... As good as this looks, and as decent as it runs, I’m afraid the guys with the older consoles aren’t missing anything, as I find this game is boring and uninspired garbage.

    I almost wish I were under 17, so my parents could stop me from playing it, as I really do find it that boring. I get it, there are fans of the genre, and    I play this on the Xbox Series X, and I have to say...     Expected much more. The world is way behind even an older game like GTA IV. Glitchy, lifeless, many weird omissions. Feels half baked and way behind the times.

    Don't believe the hype and 10 points review. On XBX it is a purely unfinished, very buggy, unplayable stuff.
    Not recommended at the moment. Maybe months later, but it only will be a mediocre something (maybe).

    I have put around 20 hours in the game on Xbox One so far. While the game itself is good, last-gen console players will have a hard time experiencing it. This game was not properly optimized for the consoles it was marketed on; I've never seen a game run so poorly in my life. FPS is usually around 20 - can dip as low as 15, graphics look muddy, blurry, and overall staticky, freezes andI have put around 20 hours in the game on Xbox One so far. However, I expected the game to at least work decently, because it was advertised for Xbox One and PS4 consoles in the first place. The fact that CDPR purposely prevented any reviewers from playing the console versions exhibits false advertising in my opinion, they purposely hid the console gameplay because they knew how bad it was. This was a very low move for a company that many people praise as consumer-friendly.

    Like I said, the game itself is good. I've been trying to deal with the terrible performance and bugs, and I do see that CDPR has crafted a really great world here. The writing is great, the atmosphere is very intriguing, and the quests are fun. Although I can't give this game any higher than a 3 in its current state, there's a great game here but unfortunately last-gen console players (who either don't have the money to upgrade or simply can't find a console due to scalpers) are going to have to play it in a completely unoptimized state.    … Expand

    First 10 hours was a 8 rating for me. The origin story was fantastic and unique, and my expectation was that this would continue throughout the game. Initially world looks amazing. But then the glitches, poor AI and shallow gameplay reveals itself. Half baked game. Played on series X.

    I can live with the crap graphics but the glitches and sometimes unplayable framerate just breaks it for me. It crashed twice in a few hours. The game is great on pc, one x, ps4 pro and next gen consoles but at least for now hold off on these base consoles versions until they roll some patches out

    Review:

    CDPR forgot they are actually making a game rather than a political statement.

    I will disregard the glitches which make it unplayable in its current form as they will find excuses on fixing this with a future patch. But I will concentrate on the main core of the game which is...it is boring. I am unable to connect with these characters, their motivations, their psyche, their raison d'etre. Why are they doing what they are doing? Why should I actually play the game? it is not fun. It is a flatline. Who wrote the dialogues and the main story line? Who were the voice actors? They are just reading from a script. Completely unbelievable and unable to impart any emotions.

    The choice of first person view was clearly the wrong one. At least when one attempts to drive a car. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

    I am giving 3 stars because I appreciate the effort put from many individuals (artwork, aesthetic choices) which however is not relfected in the final result and output. The main production team should so some soul searching/

    CDPR should imeediately withdraw the game from the XBoxOne series and offer a full refund to buyers or an equivalent Xbox Live token.

    CDPR concentrated on pleasing the SJW crouds with giving attention to pronouns, genre swapping, genitalia mods etc. This is the final result. Please stop playing politics in gaming and concentrate on gameplay. Otherwise you go broke. You are only as good as the last game you release. Your reputation is done for.    … Expand

    A ton of bugs... You can't paly the game like this. They should delay more so it can play better on next Gen consoles. Better more delay than providing a game like this. It is like I am checking the game in test mode. Very disappointing...

    Um dos poucos jogos que comprei na pré venda e tomei no rabokkkkkkk, o 3 vai porque o jogo em si é divertido e apresenta uma boa narrativa, mas o port tá completamente cagado, sei que tinha a pressão do público e etc pra lançar logo o jogo, mas seria mil vezes melhor ter adiado mais uma vez do que trazer essa bela bosta

It is imperative to make sure the product you send out to the market meets the consumer demand and the quality of the product, in which CD Red has failed.     Incredible that a company that brought the witcher 3 publishes this game with so many errors, bugs and terrible optimization. Where is the quality control? Microsoft did not review the game either? Disappointing. I already asked for my money back.

Game barely runs, the game seems amazing I just wish it was playable. I know that people were begging for the game and CDPR felt pressure to release the game but it really needed a few more months at the minimum before release.     What was supposed to be an amazing experience is utterly hampered, if not destroyed, by tons of technical issues and gameplay bugs that destroy immersion. This, along with questionable design decisions and AI so laughably stupid it belongs in a game from 3 console generations ago completely destroy CD Projekt Red's credibility and this game as a whole.

    After hotfix 1.04, the game is still graphically bad on Xbox One. Everything is still fuzzy. The only thing that is clear is the interface.

    The story is pretty solid. It is pretty confusing in the beginning due to lack of explanation. Combat is fun.

Firstly I have to say that in the few days I’ve had it (on Xbox One X), I’ve had some fun. That’s about the best I can say. In my 35 years of gaming I can’t recall having played a AAA title that has release in such a poor state! There are no excuses CDPR.. none. It’s not acceptable. The graphical quality is that of the PS3/360 era at best. The game constantly freezes and per session I’m having around 3-4 complete crashes. I could go on but it’s all been said a documented online. I advise that this one be revisited in a year or so when CDPR have got their act together. My copy is going back!… Expand

    This game is an absolute disaster on the base model Xbox One. I played about 10 hours in the game and it's a mess. It should not have been released on this platform. It feels like a total cash grab. I will be refunding the purchase. I am very disappointed in CD Projekt Red for this terrible experience.

    The visuals are disappointing, there are games that look much better and have more stable frame rates despite better visuals, so that could be done better - I'm well aware of the X-One's HW limitations, but still... CDPR already promised to work on it, so that's something, I guess.

    The game freezes and crashes a lot for me - it'll freeze up completely every 30-60 minutes, and in about 1 out of 3 cases of it freezing, it will crash. It has lost me some progress and made me save manually a lot, despite the very generous automatic save measures. Still though, they have led to me having to re-run some content, which is annoying as f*** and made me not re-start the game several times, because I just didn't want to do the same crap all over again, and this is my biggest issue with the game.

    The story and characters in the game are great, I would say they definitely meet my expectations, at least so far (in Act 2 right now), and I like that the story so far has been more focused on the personal aspect of the MC's life and struggle to the top, rather than some world saving stunts. There's a bunch of cyberpunk / future-noir games focused on a heroic struggle of good and evil, so a story from the point of view of someone who is not inherently in it to change the whole world, but instead to find a place in it is very welcome.

    I am also satisfied with the combat mechanics, the movement and driving, though all of it needs some polish - movement, especially melee fighting, is a bit janky at times, some guns feel like peashooters and the car handling is a bit off - sometimes, the cars seem to randomly change their steering circle so you either don't turn quick enough or you turn too quick, some of the cars also feel weird - as if they were on ice, but somehow also had 100% grip all the time. It's not like the cars cannot be controlled, they just kinda feel off and slide-y (but not drifting - they don't really go out of control, it's really weird and hard to describe) at times when they should be steady, and control too well in situations where they should not.

    Now, this is what I consider the main "core" of the game - the story and characters, the technical stuff and the main gameplay loop of moving around the city and fighting people. However, even if the bugs and the rest of the stuff were sorted out and fixed, I wouldn't give the game more than 7/10 - it may be great as far as it's world (the atmosphere of the city, etc.), story and characters go, but it would still be disappointing as an open world gaming experience (very limited interactivity) and it has a lot of missing or half baked features (or even quarter baked). The biggest problem here is the fact that there are games which have already done all of this better, and some of them are by CDPR, others are more than a decade old.

    I'm running out of chars, so I will run the rest of the stuff down quickly:

    - AI is bad in all situations. Combat (braindead in all scenarios, it just "wallhacks" and "aimbots" on harder difficulties), non-combat pedestrian, driving - it's just bad.

    - Low interactivity with the world - everything is a menu, vendors sell the same stuff for the most part, often it does not correspond to what they advertise in 3D - and here it is really easy to see there was something else planned, but had to be scrapped and replaced with simpler system - you will go to seafood stall, ask the vendor if her shrimp is fresh, she will say yes. you will open the buy menu, and there is no shrimp, instead, she sells an assortment of canned drinks, soy products, sweets and hot dogs, same as every other food vendor. There is a lot of places where you could sit, but the game will not let you. Consumables have no animations, aside from some medical items, and most lack dedicated textures and 3D model and can be distinguished by only name and icon in menu. Casual dating was removed, one-night fun is only possible with two specific NPC "workers". You cannot dance, cannot really drink at a bar, there are no real minigames, the in-game TV is a very poor copy of GTA IV, no radio DJs.

    - Guns - (very) poor man's Borderlands, some really bad in regards to capability as well. Expected a lot more, perhaps something akin to Homefront: Revolution system. Pretty much anything would be better.

    - Clothes/customisation - very limited, also damage resist for some reason tied to gear when it can be modified by modding body with implants. Forces player to use what has best DR, instead of what they like, the selection is also really poor.

    - No visual customisation - character (past setup), car, apartment, guns, clothes, etc.

    Some other stuff, no chars left. In conclusion: Daikatana 2.0 - overly ambitious, mostly poor execution.    … Expand

The police system, or lack thereof, is a joke too because they simply spawn in behind you no matter what. To add fuel to the fire, there aren't even police chases all. Meanwhile you can hardly interact with anything or anybody in the city. every NPC seems to have 2 lines, all shopping stands or markets are there for looks and nothing else, no NPC's react to you unless you point a gun at them.     Bugs are literally constant, not necessarily affecting the storyline, but the immersion in the open world. I would estimate an issue every 5 minutes of play. This could range from anything from falling through the map, to freezes and crashes. Additionally, if you want to drive anywhere, I hope you like doing it slow. Driving anywhere faster than 50mph will result in textures not loading in beneath you. And when you arrive at your destination, you’ll be expected to wait for entities to load in, and for the game to process you’ve arrived in the mission log. The photo mode seems cool right? Not on Xbox one. I am yet to open this without it crashing my game.
    Occasionally, my character will just die - no explanation. This is extra painful because of the loading times when reverting back to an older save - expect to see this loading screen a lot due to glitches etc. I love the games story. It does not surprise me it receives such amazing reviews for pc. The game seems almost perfect minus performance issues, not that I have ever experienced that. The game gets a 3, the stories and characters are really cool, but it’s hard to enjoy it if you wish to play more than 5 minutes at a time.    … Expand

Every time an objective is completed, it's a crapshoot if the game will even recognize it. There are fundamental problems with the game that were purposefully obfuscated in order to sell more pre-orders. The driving is ridiculous, the NPCs disappear at random. The objectives will have wrong tasks. It's like they didn't tests it at all. That is actually the most hopeful explanation. Because if they did test this and released it in this current state. I’ve found myself recoiling all over an enemy target or suddenly my weapon stops firing at the target. When I’d aim at an enemy shooting me, at times, it wouldn’t let me shoot back at all. Totally disengaged. You can own an apartment but yet can do anything with it. Cant customize it or buy new ones. Gameplay would be come super laggy or glitchy especially when driving. It’s almost like the game has a slight graininess to it and the frame-rate isn’t great either. They said this game would run well on the Xbox One and it has yet to show that. I’ve found that the game crashed 6 times in one day while only playing for 4 hours. To give some fairness, the game has not crashed since the new updates but I find it glitching as though you’re about to see a crash coming. The game is aesthetically appealing, I do give it that. NPCs.. and this is where I see another area that puts the game to shame. They aren’t hardly immersive at all. Immersive NPCs we are use to seeing in games like GTA. Those NPCs have far more personality and react far more to their surroundings, almost like they have a mind of their own. Cyberpunks NPCs are legitimately mindless. They have hardly any reaction to their own surroundings and nothing to what we are use to seeing GTA NPCs. I was hoping CD Projekt Red would had AT LEAST given NPCs far more life that of what we get in the game. As an immersive open world game as they described it to be (turned to be FALSE), you’d think NPCs have more reaction to the environment and the player itself. But not the case. There’s hardly anywhere you can shop or buy food, can’t buy property, gamble but I’ll give the game one thing. You can get prostitutes. That’s the only idea of immersion they actually had with the game. It’s awful.. No vehicle customization

The AI is braindead, with NPC's barely functioning, police spawning into place and enemies never having interesting fighting mechanics. The world feels hollow because of this. Clothing is useless, Perks are (mostly) pointless, crafting is useless. So much could be said about the mechanics in this game and how poorly implemented they are. This obviously should've been in the oven for years longer. It feels so half baked and disappointing.

    Despite this, the world is beautiful when the frame rate isn't in the dumps. The story was enjoyable, and the characters are mostly interesting (besides V (hot take)). The framework for a genuinely great game is here, but the management at CDPR just muffed it. This could've gotten a higher score in my eyes if the game hadn't been as hyped up. Не, ребят, ну это позорище. Вот сейчас (03.12.2021) буквально в течение получаса игры, в самом начале: сидящий в воздухе коп, тут же забагованный разговор с тренером, следом в квартире нашего друга рипера (доктора) сидит и паникует (как при перестрелке) какой-то левый нпс, при выходе вижу, что машина висит в воздухе на наклонной дороге. Просто слов нет. Сколько там времени с момента выхода игры прошло? Ну его на фиг, может, после некстген-патча и попробую, уже не уверен.
    Играл в режиме качества на хорошем телевизоре (55XH 9077). В самом начале был вау-эффект в здании корпорации - очень красиво, атмосферно. А вот дальше графика вообще уныла, но здесь спорно, ведь по факту это версия для Xbox One. Просто некоторые владельцы ПК-версий пишут, что это настоящий некстген. Не знаю, в этой версии даже просто хорошей графики не увидел.

Просто наплевательское отношение к игрокам. С новыми квартирами - смешно, захожу на сайт недвижимости, а там: страница заблокирована сетевым дозором. CDPR в худшие годы такой шлак не делала. Это просто плевок. Вот сами в нём и обмажьтесь. Не делайте нового, если не умеете. Просто не ломайте то, что уже работает!

    Сменил платформу на Series X, думаю - ну поляки же за столько времени чего-то доделали наверное, попробую ка еще раз поиграть. А тут все в порядке - игра периодически вылетает, NPC все также не умею крутить рули в машине в катсценах. NPC массовки в городе все так же спавнятся на глазах.     This game is an unplayable mess on the original Xbox One with framerates constantly dropping to below 20 and bugs showing throughout the experience (in extremely low resolution). The entire marketing around this game was deceptive, as CD Projekt Red never showed the way game works on the original Xbox One and Xbox One S, but assured games that it works "surprisingly well". Avoid at all costs.

The PC version is better and if you cant wait you should go for it Warning: There is a now seemingly patched bug that corrupts your save-file when it gets bigger than 8 MB atop of less but still numerous bugs than the console versions. The bugs contain but are not limited to: Slow downs, crashes, graphical glitches (atop on ugly graphics), teleportation / moving through wall characters, NPCs gone missing, hovering in mid air weapons / objects and KI doing hilarious funny stuff. This game was shipped unfinished and it not an accident as the bugs could not be missed. It is the intentional “Release it now and fix it later“ mentality that broke the game. Sadly I see the great game underneath it all and I think this makes it even worse. Gameplay-wise it is also not polished enough as many parts don't feel smooth. However this could just be me. I disliked the hacking first and the melee combat would be far better in third person view for example. I think they should have taken more time to fix the numerous bugs and improve the gameplay. This could be one of the greatest mistakes of a game publisher. The fans are up in arms, the investors feel cheated (and sued CD Project Red), the stocks were down at the time of writing and the great reputation is destroyed or at least tainted. This will not be forgotten as there is no way that people will see this malpractice as accident. Overall avoid this game at the current state! Wait until there is a version available were patches fix the problems of the game (Can take a while as there are many). Maybe there will be a rerelease in a better state.… Expand

Running around the city causes catastrophic drops in FPS to the point you will want to stop the game. I will be refunding the game on Xbox store. I'll wait to play it on next gen when I can get one.     Обидно, что играя на «самой мощеной консоли в мире» игра за 15 часов игры вылетела 10 раз.
    Не одноразово картинка останавливалась на 10 секунд а звук продолжал идти.
    Много визуальный багов.
    Я купил две копии игры и поддержал разрабов, игра интересная но сырая.
    Через год пройду игру во второй раз и напишу новый обзор положительный обзор если все пофиксят.
    К сожалению пока-что это провал.    … Expand

    The game is unplayable currently on Xbox. Crashes, bugs, horrible AI, Driving the vehicles is so stiff and uncontrollable at high speeds. Even saved files get corrupted. Plus PS and PC already have patches but we have to wait... Not good. False advertising. And the embargo on console review footage was sketchy AF.

    What a joke of a game. Xbox 360 graphics and it still runs at less than 20 fps. This game was clearly not optimised for this console or the ps4. 8 years they took to build this game and it still runs like trash. If RDR2 runs on Xbox One and PS4 then so should this. Lost all respect for Cd projekt red.

    Embarrassing, the fact that they didnt delay the game until a next gen patch was ready is completely stupid. Also purposely not showcasing cosnole gameplay on these consoles is a disgusting practice and even on Series X it still looks ass. Interesting story which is unfortunately unplayable

Frame rate drops to 10-15FPS while driving, while the environment in the background becomes a blurry mess. NPCs load in literally without their faces.     I played this game on my xbox one X. The graphics are underwhelming. There is major pop in and the frame rate is horrible. I also am dealing with frequent crashes and bugs everywhere. The AI behave extremely poorly. With all of this there is absolutely no immersion. I'm extremely disappointed with this game.

    Overall, I think there’s a lot to like when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, which has been unfortunately marred by poor performance issues on a number of platforms, and some poor communication (along with some overpromising) on the part of the publisher. It’s clear that a lot of work went into putting this game together, and it’s unfortunate that it had to release in a state that feels a little unfinished. It’s still a game you can very much derive enjoyment from, even in its current state but your ability to overlook open-world bugs and performance issues is certainly going to factor in quite a bit.

    Cyberpunk 2077 didn't meet my expectations, but also didn't disappoint me. It delivered an RPG experience like no other, delving deep into themes like control, awareness and addiction. The combat is great and the graphics are amazing, but the bugs and some under-cooked systems make it seem like the devs got lazy, and that's always a bad sign. (Played on Xbox Series X)
