This game is very underrated I think.
The gameplay is good and so is the storyline.
The fact that it was buggy the time it got released is an issue a lot of developers have nowadays.
Just wait a while and you mostly get the quality that's expected.

Conclusion: If you like open world RPG's then you should definitely get this one

One of the best game I have ever played.
A lot of flaws, technical problems but the scenario, the characters, the universe are just incredible

Don’t listen to the haters. I did wait for the Xbox series x update to come out before I played it. But it was an amazing ride. Story was superb, Keanu was amazing. Still some glitches but an amazing game. Especially now that u can get it for less than $20. I had a blast

Time travel and cyberpunk are my two favorite subgenres of fiction. Massive cityscapes extending as far as the eye can see. Mega corporations that've taken over whole societies. Rain-soaked city streets. Technology that has taken over all aspects of our lives. Oh, and neon. Lots of neon. Cyberpunk 2077 puts you in that world. When it first released back in 2020, the game was plagued with bugs that made it practically unplayable (except on Google Stadia, the gaming platform I had at the time). However, after numerous patches and extra content (to apologize for the screw up), the game is experiencing a form of resurgence. Honestly, I'm glad. There's so much fun to be had in Night City, the living, breathing fictional metropolis your character lives in. Sure there's the main story that you can streamline, but then there's the hundreds of side quests and character building missions that help flesh out the world even further. I've easily put 10-20 hours in and barely scratched the surface of all that I can do. Expand

Me ha absorbido en una Xbox Series X durante el mes de agosto de 2023. No sé como salió, pero ahora es un lujo jugarlo. Muy bueno y completo.
No le pongo el 10 por no disponer de opción para tercera persona como los Fallout.

    Xbox One X - 10hrs Gamplay

Overall, it's been a good experience - not the generation-defining release many hoped it would be, but still a unique and enjoyable game. I've spent my time in-game, split between the main story and the myriad of random side missions and world events scattered around the map. There is no shortage of things to do, even if many of them are somewhat... indistinguishable... from each other. At a certain point, many of the different events come down to the same "Travel here. Kill everyone. Repeat." cycle. Thankfully, combat is enjoyable enough that I don't find myself bothered by that repetition.

The technical aspects are where this game loses points. On my XOX, performance is very "okay" - for the most part, the game does well in terms of framerates, textures, etc - but occasionally the framerate will drop well below 25fps, resulting in noticeable sluggishness. There are even times where the game will outright lock-up, sometimes resulting in a crash to my Dashboard. This, in addition to the mess of random bugs which I already expected (this being a complicated open-world title), somewhat detracts from the overall experience - though not to the extent seen in the OG Xbox/PS4 experiences.

While I'm sure the game will improve with patching, the takeaway right now is: this game is a beautiful, fun, expansive title with a unique identity that sets it apart from other similar titles, that is held back by its technical performance. If you have a XBX, these hiccups are tolerable, but anyone with a base model should stay away for now.

I'm having a lot of fun and yeah some of this stuff is busted, but it's getting fixed. The game is there it's not as good as it could be if we waited another year or two but the majority complained a lot about waiting more. However I still enjoyed it thoroughly in my 65hr playthrough. Story is fantastic voice acting is really solid and the scope of the whole game is a good length. I haven't seen the other ending beside the one I chose *(aldecaldos)* but after it was over I got the sad feeling in my gut like after finishing a good book which is why ill put it on my favorite RPG lists with all of the Witcher 3 and many others. Played on Xbox Series X. Game is great but could be so much better... The plot, the charachters and main side quests are amazing. Night City is probably best generated city in gaming history. Waiitng for the next gen. version to play it again. Still plenty of work to do from devs. especially regarding current gen. consols - they need to address this fast!

But, in general, looking back to TW3, the game really is fun and gives the piece of RPG and deep history I personally want, I think the game is not done yet,, obviously they needed another delay, "we know it doesn't look like some days will help on the development -" and it doesn't, when it got delayed the second time I knew we had two options : 1- the game is so **** polished and CDPR was trying so hard to make it real perfect. 2 - They f*cking need anytime to fix so much **** and they needed.
I don't think this much hate on the game is without reason, but I don't think it deserves 3.5 either. 8,-1 for the launching bugs (that doesn't quite affects me personally) and - 1 for the not so masterpiece game besides the hype.

There are bugs which take you out of the experience. Thankfully, none of the ones I encountered so far are game breaking though. I'm also happy that I only experienced one crash so far, because according to reports everywhere, I'm actually considered lucky with that.
The performance could be better. The 1.04 patch eliminated the 1-2 second freezes I was experiencing once or twice every hour, but I still experience microstutters with the same frequency.
The framerate is generally ok, it always holds 30 fps indoors, and most of the time when I walk outdoors too, with occasional drops. But once I get in a car, or hop on a motorcycle, it instantly drops to the low twenties.
Speaking of driving, the actual driving physics aren't as good as I hoped they will be. But they're still serviceable. Gunplay is actually better than I anticipated though.
Melee combat is ok, but if you have a weapon in hand, the quick melee attack feels kinda janky.
I also have some small gripes with the game, like when I loot weapons from somewhere, and don't have any in my weapon slots at the moment, why doesn't the game automatically equip that weapon to one of my slots, so I can just start using it. Why do I have to go into a menu to manually equip them? And other small stuff like that.
But the gameplay systems generally feel great to engage with, Night City is a beautifully crafted, detailed place, and the story is also great so far. I honestly believe this game will be a 9.5/10, if all the issues will be patched out. But for now, I'll stay with 8/10 with my One X experience.
Btw, I feel bad for anyone who's playing this game on a base Xbox One or an S, those versions aren't good at all. But if you have a One X at least, or even better, a Series X or S, I think you should try this game out either now, or a few patches later.

Yes is is very buggy on old gen and has several issues on next gen. But I am pushing forward to experience all that we have waited for, good/bad. The story will pull you right into the world and for that I am enjoying it. Smilemore❤ Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For those unaware about the current issues residing CyberPunk 2077, it is a given with current generation consoles as they lack the hardware that the next generation consoles have, all that is affecting next generation are only few minor bugs or glitches that can either break the immersion or cause a impede in progression.

CyberPunk 2077 was a massive and expansive set piece for a single player RPG, feeling very alive with rich story telling and multiple options to choose from. Such from the path of 3 different beginning pieces to working on up to the story. There is lore scattered about in and out of night city, catching few first timers off guard when experiencing the campaign. These simple data drives contain much lore that expands even past the US of night city and explaining much of how the future came to be.

Although i have not experienced everything in CyberPunk 2077, there is much more to come and i myself implore you to purchase a next gen console to enjoy the much bigger picture from CyberPunk 2077.

So with that being said, CyberPunk 2077 does not feel like a current gen game as it is simply too powerful for the current generation hardware to run properly. This takes the standards of hardware to greater emphasis when it comes to power and capabilities, so the graphics and power degradation was an expected outcome of such a time. It is now time to move on, to reach for the new current generation consoles and PC as 2020 comes to a close for this year’s current generation.

This is my personal review for CyberPunk 2077, Enjoy the current generation as much as you can since 2020 is the last time you’ll ever run new games smoothly. Sincere, Shroosa. to choose from

Also the time and effort that went into this game is clearly shown, besides all the bugs witch i haven't noticed a whole lot, rendering could be better, also not a good port for last gen ill be honest. Frame rate has been pretty stable with no drops for me, it’s been a smooth ride so far. The visuals are nice but I am slightly disappointed by the texture quality, however the lighting engine is sublime while playing the game on 4K HDR 60” panel really makes the bright neons of Night City pop. The gameplay, world and lore has me hooked and I’ve spent a lot of time exploring Night City, doing Gigs and Side Quests, Crafting, Clothes Shopping, etc. the game excels at letting the player get lost and some of the conversations in the Side Quests are up there alongside the Witcher 3 (GlaDOS makes a cameo.) Overall I do agree the game was a buggy mess at launch, but so far I’ve been enjoying to bits and haven’t encountered anything game breaking for me. However I wouldn’t recommend the game as “Purchase Right Now” like the Witcher 3 I’d probably say wait a little bit for CDPR to iron out the bugs before jumping in. But when you do jump in you’re in for one bloody good RPG Samurai. Have a little faith in CDPR like with The Witcher 3 they will fix the bugs and people will be able to experience the solid game that lies underneath. Expand

There have been a few small glitches and I've had it crash twice so far so room for improvement there. Also when traveling to different areas in the car it can be a little slow, but at the same time I haven't experienced any problems that have made the game "unplayable" like so many people claim. The storyline is great so far and then gun and hacking mechanics work really well. The car driving feels basic. Definitely not on the level of GTA for example but it isn't bad as such, just dated.
I hate how so many people are ready to slate the game without giving it a chance for patches to be implemented. Even the Witcher 3 had glitches in the beginning but that was SUCH a good game by the time it was finished being worked on.
If people have any doubt about picking this up, then I'd probably tell them to hold off for now if you really want the game to be perfect when you play it. But for everyone that's already a fan, the by all means pick the game up and support the great development team in making this game even better. I’ve noticed that while you can talk to just about any npc in the game they don’t always have much to say in fact most of the time it’s a single line. I wish there was more variety to the npcs in the city or at least that they wouldn’t have 3 or 4 people looking exactly the same in a group walking around. It takes away from the game a bit when you see that. The weapons , mods, cybernetics, skill points, perk points are all very well done. I hope CDP will remember this lesson. As for the game on Xbox One X - a lot of the things, that other users report is true. Game is badly optimized for Xbox One, although for Xbox One X it's playable, with less FPS droppings. Game looks good, texture loading is noticeable, but not as much as on PS4 screens/videos that can be found over the internet. There's also plenty of bugs, and crashes. Graphical glitches, character locking in multiple areas, enemies dying while dropping them unconsciousness. Furthermore - my XBONE X has shutdown 3 times while I was playing, and game crash to dashboard is on a regular basis (already 10+). This never happens before, so this should give an insight how big is the scale of optimizations problems. The graphic is good - of course not as good as top PC or XBOX Series X console, but I don't expect it will. Prev gen consoles just can't handle it. Also a lot of concept bugs, like the one with cops spawning, although in my opinion - worst are the one in RPG system and character leveling, perks or game balance. A lot of perks are not feel like in a right place. A lot of 20 lvl perks are much weaker than 16-18 lvl ones. A lot of them are just unusable, where some other could be in their places, with much higher functionality (i.e. no perk with buffer increase, which could be added at low level to ease hacking, or auto-hacking low level security would be a much more use-able). Also, the inventory is a one big mess. It almost looks like it was cherry-picked from Witcher 3 just with few minor changes, and inventory was one of the worst elements in Witcher 3. Selling/dismantle items, just one-by-one is so painful, that it almost screams for multi-selection functionality. Crafting system is also added just as "to-have-one-in-our-game", and again - almost 1:1 copy from Witcher 3. Although, in Witcher it had a use in crafting sets or elixirs, here in Cyberpunk crafting feels like an unusable addon. There's so much more annoying things, that I could write it further - clunky driving, bad NPC AI, NPC/cars spawning, shooting mechanics, loot pickup and more... Although, I didn't bought this game for driving or shooting, or for eating hot-dogs possibility or looking how big my horse genitals are. If I were, I would probably end in buying next CoD or GTA/RDR game. But I didn't. I bought Cyberpunk, and I bought it for story, and this one is really great here, just as it was in other CDP games. The city is looking great, the feel of living anarchic city is something I didn't found in any disthopia games across last few years. The game is absorbing, demanding every second of Your time, constantly giving You new background stories. The game is straight in showing how cruel and twisted this city can be. Although, there's always a delicate sign, that a seed of hope for this humanity is still rising here somewhere. That there's still good, uncorrupted people out there, not devastated by greed or need-for-augmentation. I'm still in early stage of the game, but already spend more than 20 hours, and I still want more. I hope they will fix the performance on consoles, and people that had less luck than I, and are still on Xbox One and PS4 will have the possibility to fully dive-in in this great story-telling experience. I'm still shattered by their scum marketing and releasing broken product, but this will inflict only my opinion and trust regarding CDP studio, and - thanks, to great story and feel - won't influence the game overall 8/10 score. If I were asked if it's worth buying, I would say YES, but NOT on prev-gen BASE consoles, and only If You don't mind a lot of bugs and crashes. Otherwise, wait for more stable release in next few months, or go for next-gen/PC version. Expand

And I am aware that the next-gen update will come. What I love CP2077 for is 1) the courage, 2) bold and mature story, 3) beautiful, coherent and immersive world (you can get lost in NC), 4) well-written characters and great sound-stage incl. superb voice-acting. Summarizing: once again CDRP delivered "the substance over the form" ... and this is the great direction. (PS: the creators of the last AC Valhalla must forget about it because despite the fact that the game was beautiful and technically polished, it bored me terribly. I don't know what is worse: a simple hamburger in a nice package ... or a masterful dish ... but undercooked.) Expand

Cyberpunk has an immersive flow to it, making gameplay even more addicting with each character and with each unique dialogue options you choose. Even though the base Xbox one and ps4 versions of Cyberpunk don't run too great, they are far from unplayable and unenjoyable. CDPR as a studio has always been pretty ambitious and I have full faith that they will make this up to us.

But seriously I do get the outrage, if the performance issues are a huge deal-breaker for you please do not buy it just wait for either a few more updates or until you have better hardware.

    2. I was shock when I saw a lot of people getting into Cyberpunk 2077 people that has never play an RPG and that was a bad sign. This kind of people says that the gameplay feels bad, shooting, driving, fighting. That's normal on this kind of RPG's for example Dragon Age Inquisition great game but the combat was average or below average. The same with Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Skyrim, Mass Effect, Fallout you name it what does this games have in common that their core gameplay is normal or basic but the whole experience of the game makes it great. So if you don't like games like that don't buy it THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU.

    Back to my review
I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One X the second it was available to play my digital copy(just to clarify i bought the game twice digital and physical I'm not from the US so the disk version takes at least a week to arrive so I went for bought to avoid spoilers) at first it felt unstable with frame drops and only crash once after ver 1.04 things improved A LOT in some times the game froze for a few seconds when you entered a different part of the city now this problem is gone and only feels like a half a second "load time" in a 50+ hours into the game only crashed like 3 or 4 times. The bugs are the usual you can expect in game of this type and size so far noting really drastic that would make me quit, there is one annoying thing that when you destroy an item for it's components the parts that you get pop out "common or rare parts" well this message repeats every time you enter the pause menu.

I'm not going to tell about the story just that is amazing all the main characters are well done. Love the voice acting for female V is great at least on my first run, planning on doing the second with a male V and different life path. The gigs or side mission are interesting and offer and interesting bunch of quests, and every one of these has backstory that you can read in shards or emails and understand why this person is doing this and that.

Now the gameplay and i will be comparing with other games... Ok all the driving, shooting, fighting, stealth, quick hacking it gets the job done. But all depends on you play style if you are a simple minded folk you are going to use force, shooting on site and use your brute force you can do this buy will be missing a lot of things. There are many ways to get your job done and doing it with a mix of this and that is such a great experience. I usually use my stealth (cool), Tech and Intelligence to take all my enemies with distractions and engaging only when necessary.

But you will be surprise the amount of times you can get out of trouble just speaking and that adds lot of points in my book to Cyberpunk and the same thing happens to my with Mass Effect I can spend hours without firing my gun. Let's talk about you Cyberware and skill tree, if you played Deus Ex HR or MD your skill were the same as your augments pretty basic you gain level you gain a praxy point to unlock new abilities. In Cyberpunk leveling up gives you atribute points to spend in the main stats but each of this stats sub divided in skills and you get skill points by your play style so you can build your preferred "class" and every scenario has multiple entry points for example you can just shoot your way in, go around the back and use your tech skill to open a door or force open a door if you have enough strength.

The way you use your Cyberware is great with a cooldown ram system this way you are not force to get Biocel like in Deus Ex because your energy eventually would run out and you can get some very use full daemon aka malware if you have enough ram you can shut down an enemy or overload their senses to so they don't call for backup and you quickly slices him in half with your katana or mantis blade.

Well I'm going to wrap up this not proper review because haven't finished the game yet because I'm really having a great time with it but nevertheless Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game for Science Fiction lovers like me and even better if it's "Cyberpunk genre game" there are only a handful out there worth mentioning. Probably with later patches and when the next gen version is out my score is going to be higher.

As a conclusion if you have a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X or next gen console go for it and gamers should focus more on actually playing the game and having fun rather nitpicking everything as excuse to spread hate in the big bad corporations. Finally as general critic i really hope that all the people here submitting their reviews at least bought and played the game if not your though are pointless.

Then, the bugs alone can impact the experience quite a bit (as, I think, EVERYONE knows by now). But even bugs-aside, there are some sub-optimal and immersion-breaking design choices (HUD, inventory management, NPC behavior, etc.) which would make it a 8.5/10 for me, as for now (on X1X).

As the other opinions seem to suggest, I can imagine the performance on original Xbox One is much much worse, making the game unplayable and a 0./10... However, if you own a X1X (and. esp. if you have an SSD) - do note it is playable and you may want to give this game a chance if you're in for a story, not next-gen graphics.

    ----
Though, as much as I hate what they did to this game by launching it in its current state (fully-patched it would have been a masterpiece), If I was given a fair choice whether to play this alpha-like build *now* or wait half a year for a 'proper' version... I would definitely be fine with playing it as-is.

I am on Xbox One X upgraded with SSD, and the game is *very playable*. Or should I say - still buggy as hell, but I still want to play it each and every day (despite those glitches). Maybe I am lucky, but none of the bugs ruined the experience for me this far (about 75% completion of main campaign).

Regarding the visuals: Occasional framerate drops occur mostly when driving... otherwise (walking around, shooting stuff) it is perfectly fine. Of course - with the caveat it looks sub-par, compared to other X1X games, not to mention PC version. Sub-par, but not ugly (with motion blur and film grain off).
As far as glitches go... there are not as many as the fuss all over seems to suggest (I guess it is 'cool' to hate Cyberpunk 2077 these days). Not to say there are little of them... but to say it is completely unplayable on X1X would be hugely exaggerated.
To be clear, even after patch 1.05 I still experience crashes (back to home screen) every 2-4 hours (before the patch they were much more frequent)... though the game is pretty generous with autosave, so it is not breaking the experience completely. I also had to reload save about 3-4 times in my whole gameplay, just to get an annoying HUD element go away. And for one quest, I had to go back a savepoint as it was stubborn not to count a checkpoint.
Other than that, there are plenty of funny GFX glitches and, at times, stupid enemy AI, but nothing game-breaking.

In fact... I'd say this game is not only playable, but 'decent' as-is (1.05).

At the same time, like others, I am also disappointed with CD Projekt Red... Though, funnily enough, it is NOT because they created a crappy game. Quite the opposite, actually. At some moments during the game you feel they have made a masterpiece, with beautiful and engaging world. Then, in a truly masochistic way, they destroyed their own creation, by getting it so poor performance and littering it with bugs.
It is this emotional roller-coaster that makes me angry with them as there is so much wasted potential in there...
This could easily have been the best game of the year 2020. Does it stand a fighting chance in 2021, with all the beautiful mess that happened on premiere... doubtful (even fully patched and fueled with DLC, it is unlikely to get back to the top). That said - it is a great game. A game I would have actually bought a new gaming rig for, if I was informed in advance how my console experience is going to look...
At the same time, Xbox One X performance is *not* game-breaking at this time, and while everyone needs to decide on their own whether to wait for a heavy discount and full patch set... I would recommend to still give this game a chance and try to immerse into CP 2077 world. When it works - it is a marvel.
So, no, I am not pursuing a refund - rather thinking which choices would I be making on my 2nd play-through (once it is properly served and patched).

It’s because of this fun gameplay and this great story that it’s such a shame Cyberpunk 2077 performs like it’s still in alpha.

Overall, I think there’s a lot to like when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077, which has been unfortunately marred by poor performance issues on a number of platforms, and some poor communication (along with some overpromising) on the part of the publisher. It’s clear that a lot of work went into putting this game together, and it’s unfortunate that it had to release in a state that feels a little unfinished. It’s still a game you can very much derive enjoyment from, even in its current state but your ability to overlook open-world bugs and performance issues is certainly going to factor in quite a bit.

Cyberpunk 2077 didn't meet my expectations, but also didn't disappoint me. It delivered an RPG experience like no other, delving deep into themes like control, awareness and addiction. The combat is great and the graphics are amazing, but the bugs and some under-cooked systems make it seem like the devs got lazy, and that's always a bad sign. (Played on Xbox Series X)
