Nov 10, 2011I just changed my review text (not the score) to reflect that the producers of this game have posted an article pleeding people to give it a 10 on metacritic to raise its score. that is bs.

Nov 10, 2011WTF is this? Could of just released this as DLC ! Actvision have proven they are just money hungry. Cant wait for the real INfinity Ward (now called respawn entertainment) to kick your ass !
-
Nov 10, 2011The campaign was short. Its story was so generic that even a retarded child can make it. The graphics is worse than CoD4. The sounds are just recycled junk from old CoD all guns sounds like a toy gun. Its streak system become from worst to worstser(i know there's no such word). To make it simple. This game is a joke. Its a CoD4 DLC.. And Cod4 is much better. Save your money and buy other games.
-
Nov 10, 2011Still unbalanced mess with all the perks and killstreaks... remove all of those and the leveling... tight and focused gameplay please... Visuals are really bland and reused from MW2 and the campaign is average at some points.

Nov 10, 2011Horrible game, lackluster multi-player that doesn't feel fresh or fun, short single player campaign and very dated graphics. Not worth the money. Steer clear. Also why must everyone compare this to bf3?

Nov 10, 2011A miserable game like none other. Worst fps game I've ever seen in my entire life! Green oxidized copper all over the screen. Everything is green with the miserable post fx! The previous games in the series were miserable but this one is reaching new lows. Bf3 is 10000 times better than mw3! Do NOT BUY. I repeat DO NOT EVEN GET CLOSE TO IT !
-
Nov 10, 2011Not sure why I thought this would be not just be the same recycled engine from the last 2 years... Activision must be taking notes from Apple and just releasing products that are "slight" improvements over the previous and charging full price for it.

Nov 10, 2011Are you kidding me!? Don't waste your money, played it before, seen it before. Activision's idea of putting "infinity ward" back together by taking a group developers and having them photocopy past work has fallen flat on its face.
-
Nov 10, 2011Overpriced map pack. You are better off saving you money and passing on this one. The price of this game + Xbl + elite just to gain a "complete experience" of the game is just too ridiculous.
-
Nov 10, 2011This game shows how Activision runs every title it can into the ground for money. By the by, if you're looking forward to the DLC map packs in the future, they're already on the disc but they're just going to make you pay to activate them. Squeezing every last ounce of profit from a good franchise, what a disgrace.

Nov 10, 2011I have supported Modern Warfare through its iterations, but this one has really been a letdown. it felt very re-packaged. No new gameplay mechanics and the maps feel small. Also sprinting everywhere is getting old, its not realistic and it feels cheap. IF you make MW4 please, PLEASE don't hype it up and let us down. For the price vs what was delivered: 0/10

Nov 10, 2011I have MW2 and MW3 put to comparison nothing doesn't change if not the maps!!! be ashamed! even the menu is equal, the only meaningful addition they are the challenges to accept as in black ops
-
Nov 10, 2011This game came out in 2007 ... why is it just being reviewed now? I'm surprised it took them 4 years to release a patch that includes: more balanced MP, a big map pack, and faster frame rates. Spec ops is great. The rest is a regurgitation.

Nov 10, 2011Rehash Samefare 3. This game is SO bad that the devs on twitter are asking people to uprate it here on metacritic. I've never seen a dev do that. This is exactly what Activision deserves.
-
Nov 10, 2011same graphics of call of duty modern warfare 2 . MW3 his real name MW2.5 ugly sound this game is a piece of sh*t online is horrible too bah don't wasted your money on this game
-
Nov 10, 2011I don't understand why we keep paying for the same game... They should of stopped at cod4 and ended on a good note. I hope that people will learn their lesson this time around and not continue to buy they games anymore or at least till they decided to actually make a new game.

Nov 10, 2011Honestly, if it wasn't for the title I would think that I was playing MW2 all over again. Obviously this game is not not worth $60. COD is slowing killing any originality in the gaming industry and this game continues to prove that.

Nov 10, 2011Not enough has changed since MW2, same graphics, short campaign (shorter than Black Ops imo). I kinda get the feeling I paid $60 for a map pack. I'm a complete idiot for buying this, and refuse to buy another CoD title again. Please, do not make the same mistake I did.

Jan 11, 2012Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.
-
Dec 28, 2011Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
-
Dec 12, 2011I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
