    I thought i put in the mw2 disc when i started playing this game, NO DIFFERENCE, Call Of Duty needs a MAJOR rethinking. The game is getting old, i mean comon activision, seriously!!!!!!!!!!!

    The same over and over again. I bought all the CoD but this is the first I won't buy. Same short campaing, same multiplayer full of cheats and campers. No more Activision.

    If you put mw2 and mw3 side by side, you would not be able to tell the difference. Its still just the same recycled game that came out in 2007. Graphics are very dated, this does not look like a 2011 game. Multilayer is nothing new, get a few kills then call in an airstrike and boom you're done.     The campaign is decent but only about 4 hours long. The multiplayer sucks, like everyone else says its just mw2 with nothing but broken promises of changes and updates. The elite service is also a joke, just a 60 dollar payment for another lame social network with no real use except the promise of maps in the future, question is will anyone play that long.     wow. i wish i would have bought 60 dollars of food and wasted 55 dollars of it. at least i would have enjoyed a little bit. the campaign is predictable and the multiplayer is old and seems to be getting worse as they release the same game every year

    This game is just horrible. Completely filled with Hackers and Cheaters. IW must really like kids that arent even old enough to buy the game. Quickscoping? C'mon, they only kept that in the game to sell more copies. Riot Shields? Again? Should I say more? If they haven't gotten it by now they will never get it. This game is garbage.     I have played every CoD going all the way back to the first one on PC. MW3 is by far the worst version I've ever played. The map design is atrocious. It's very clear to me the map makers at Sledgehammer are not CoD players at all. They took MW2 and multilated it. What an absolute disappointment. My hope lies solely with Treyarch. Sledgehammer needs to be dumped by Electronic Arts ASAP!

The only good part is the story, but that is easily spoiled because it is so predictable. The graphics are the same as on CoD 4, which came out 4 years ago. There are a lot of glitches also, of course the game was just released but these are simple, easy glitches that should have been noticed instantly during the beta tests. The maps are all recycled with the same looks as earlier maps, nothing new. I am really disappointed mostly because I waited out in the cold rain for almost 12 hours with my friends and we really were expecting a good game. That this is not. Save your time, go play something else because this is not worth it. At least I can still sell this on eBay for 90% of the money.… Expand

    I bought this game due to all the hype and now regret it, the multiplayer is the same old boring mp of camping and getting "pointstreaks" the spec ops mode is the only good thing about this game but still not worth buying, your better of buying the bunch of games already coming out like skyrim or if ur really into fps get bf3.     Not sure why it is gone but this game had a 2.8 overall user rating with over 5000 reviews. Its a bummer of a game with the worst multiplayer experience of any game to date. Random lag in every game. The better your internet, the worse it lags. Did Infinity Ward pay metacritic to delete the reviews? Strange.

    Picked this up on release after playing Black Ops last night to prepare. Guess what? It was the SAME GAME. So entirely disappointed, I can't believe they hyped up this game to have it be nothing more than a map pack released for $60 that runs worse online. all i have to say: great game!............NAT

All the maps are boring and nothing special , the A.I is still messed up and retarded and your main character moves like a sloppy drunk douche! The hit detection issues are still there. I actually really liked Call of Duty MW 1 because that game did something new and innovative not only for COD but the FPS genre in general but since than Call of Duty games have done nothing for me and have gone completely downhill. Instead of a full complete game this seems like an expansion pack DLC for Modern Warfare 2, it is not worth the money, save your money please… Expand

    Just not what I expected at all... All I feel that was new to this game were the different strike packages you can use which most people use support... Specialist is just a waste in my opinion and assault is just if you want to play mw2 again... I agree with everyone when calling this game mw2.5

    Biggest piece of dog crap I have ever played. Honestly, this game is kinda like nhl and madden, ggets released every year with the same bull **** and some how game review companies give it 9s and 10s. Some serious dick sucking goes in with the cod series and frankly I dont want to get those herpes so **** you cod, **** the millions of ****s who bought it, go suck cods tiny **** ass ****ers.

    I've had Thanksgiving turkey naps last longer than the single player campaign did, but at least after those I wake up feeling refreshed. The multi-player is still nicely polished and remains a benchmark for online play, but these cookie cutter releases are rushed out so often that it's too embarrassing to be caught playing it.     Is the same of the other Call of Duty. Also the graphics are the same of Black Ops. I played yesterday and the mode survival can't be compared with Zombies of Black Ops.

    A simple MW2 ripoff, pathetic attempt at an FPS which hasn't been innovated on since CoD2!
    Absolutely nothing new here, I really do hope this is the LAST Call of Duty game they make!

    Game is Call of Duty. Nothing new. Mainstream **** Look at other game sequels, flourishing with new forms of innovation that bring to a title. This game has turned into something very similar to TV shows. The first few were good, gets pretty crappy afterwards.

    Played out.

    by far the worst call of duty ever made. i bought this with high hopes and this game is nothing but frustration. the maps all suck. im not a camper but there are door ways everywhere. its like swiss cheese, having people CONSTANTLY running up behind me. all people do is camp doors and in corners now. the gameplay feels like black ops 1.5 with a mw2 skin. the sounds are allby far the worst call of duty ever made. i bought this with high hopes and this game is nothing but frustration. the maps all suck. im not a camper but there are door ways everywhere. its like swiss cheese, having people CONSTANTLY running up behind me. all people do is camp doors and in corners now. the gameplay feels like black ops 1.5 with a mw2 skin. the sounds are all slightly modified from mw2, now having a higher pitched tone. the support set is retarded too. its uav palooza and some retard who is 20 and 40 can get a stealth bomber. wtf. i bought both bf3 and mw3 and bf3 has the far superior multiplayer experience. ive had the game not even a week and im already sick of it… Expand

    Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

    I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
