I'm your classic COD Hater. i really don't like Military FPS i think that a Video Game is meant to give you a sense of fantasy and Military Shooters don't do that for me but MW 3 has managed to grasp me in a way other military shooting titles haven't. I've played BF 3 and Medal of Honor as well as resistance but MW 3 really did Military FPS a great justice and I'll recommend it to anyone.

This game is just a glorified expansion pack of mw2. Everything feels the same, all they did was change the guns and add some customization features that do not impact gameplay significantly. Even with support killstreaks, the game still promotes camping with the standard killstreaks which are more powerful. Haven't tried the new spec ops yet but this game is supposed to be about the MP.

Now lets not talk about the horrible campaign that no one will ever remember or care about. But why not focus all your resources on the online mode which is what everyone is paying to play. You made 16 maps for this game on launch day and you think they are worth 60$?

Go back to the drawing board and rethink your strategies. You think that Counter-Strike is what it is because Valve treat their costumers like you?

    Thank you!!! :)

This game is absolutely terrible, if you're looking for a good shooter, I recommend Battlefield 3. Lots of little fanboys and infants that are in love with the series will cushion the score by voting 10/10, but in reality, the game deserves a 2.5/10 at best.

They should have done better when they knew they will be facing challenges from BF3, and yet they simply made a game that's extremely similar to their previous title and ask people to buy it? Now even ask user to give them higher rating? Shame on them!

Lets be clear about one thing, my opinion is based on previous versions of the game and from a consumers point of view. Is it worth purchasing a game that has been recycled with few updates? To some it is, but for me its not. It is time to break the monotony of this game. This is MW2.5 at best! This game is couple of new maps, guns, and modes, that could've been released as an expansion pack. We as a consumer are entitled to more than just mindless shooters that feel like your hand is being held the whole way through. The only good thing about this game is the Spec Ops portion of it. I don't have much to say that I haven't said already. This will be the last COD purchase I make until Infinity Ward decides to build MW, or any COD from the ground up. It's nice to see 60fps but at the same time its hard to put up with textures that are last gen in hi resolution. If you have played MW before and MW2 and are expecting something different then don't be surprised when you pop this game in and say to yourself, "haven't I done this before"? You as a consumer deserve better... Expand

Another year, another Call of Duty. This year brings about Modern Warfare 3 the sequel to 2009's Modern Warfare 2. Overall the game play is very similar to other incarnations of the Call of Duty series. This incarnation comes with the standard tweaks to multiplayer that you would expect. Yes, this is more of the same but it's still a fun experience.

Terrible game, I feel ripped off. Might as well just call it modern warfare 2 with new, cagey maps. Completely lacks any strategic emphasis. Its a reflex race. Im going back to BF3

Not really a credit to your game to outsell all the competition when all the riches are spent on marketing and disgusting bonuses for a development team that has the skill level of a five man pug mod team. Quality has nothing to do with popularity in a society that has autotune and dancing with the stars. I guess that means Justin Bieber makes the best music because he tops the charts. Not really a credit to your game to outsell all the competition when all the riches are spent on marketing and disgusting bonuses for a development team that has the skill level of a five man pug mod team. MW3 is the fat guy from Superbad getting imaginary kills. The game is as stupid as Tommy the five year old pressing right on his D pad and getting 10 kills with his super dooper skills because he found a care package(very powerful). Sorry Call of Duty faithful, the bad reviews will keep coming because modern warfare 2 wasn't our first gaming experience and we don't care how many times you prestige. Unfortunately the gaming industry is very copy cat and we don't want future developers thinking that we are all aboard for the stinky big mac that Call of Duty has become. Expand

Fantastic game. Black Ops made me quit the multiplayer scene, so it's nice to see this more like MW2. Multiplayer is nicely balanced, the inclusion of a support class that doesn't reset killstreaks upon death helps give us non-elite players a way to contribute. It might not be as big of an improvement over MW2 as MW2 was over CoD4, but does that meaning MW3 deserves a horrible review. Scrolling down this page is embarassing. From a multiplayer point of view, the maps are weak. I feel like I'm trapped where ever I go. Sniper usage is none existent unless you plan on run and gun no scoping. Try and play free for all. With dying no longer being an issue in getting your killstreak rewards, the radar is constantly red with enemy stuff. And since all the maps are ridiculously small, there is nowhere you're safe for even 3 seconds. Literally.

Call of Duty is merely a dumbed-down experience for a dumb, casual audience. I don't find it surprising that this series sells more in the states. Where it appeals to the majority of teenagers who are under the dilusion that shooters are the best games evar. Lol

It's just a rehash of MW2. The only difference in the gameplay is the guns. The campaign is alright, but I wouldn't buy FPS game just for the campaign. If you have the desire to play an original game, don't get MW3.

Ultimately, Modern Warfare 3 feels similar to it's brethren, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great game. The single player element is still exciting, and multiplayer has more options than ever – if you're a fan of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3 is a no brainer.

Modern Warfare 3, while still an excellent thrill ride in its own right, feels far too similar to MW2 or even Black Ops for my taste.
  3. I never expected Modern Warfare 3 to go toe-to-toe with EA's juggernaut this year, but it came out of the gates with a tour de force campaign and co-op mode. It loses points with a perhaps too-familiar multiplayer that caters to the juvenile on Xbox Live; though don't be mistaken, Modern Warfare 3 is one hell of a shooter and a highlight for a series that just won't die – no matter how much we wish it bloody would, at times.
