Fans wanted Unravel Two on Switch and they got it. While it took some patience, the wait was certainly worth it. [Issue #39 – May/June 2019, p. 30]

Some games are simply a pleasure to play from beginning to end, and Unravel Two is one of them. It’s a masterfully crafted adventure that keeps you glued to your screen, and melts your heart as the credits roll.

Unravel Two lands on Nintendo Switch with the same magic it had a year ago. A beautiful game that believes in itself to offer a great coop experience with really inspired artistic and level design.

Although I would’ve liked more challenge in the campaign, I still had fun with Unravel Two right up until the very end. Yarny is an adorable character that stole my heart right from the beginning, and the unique puzzles that come from both characters being literally strung together made for a fresh spin on co-op puzzle solving. I feel like I missed out on something special by playing by myself, and I think that if you get the opportunity you should definitely play the whole campaign with a friend.

Unravel Two is a short but sweet little adventure that makes interesting use of its two yarn-crafted characters. While playing the game alone is still an enjoyable option, its focus on light puzzling is definitely more fun when tackled with another player. A visually impressive and charming treat.

Despite the beautiful and fluent gameplay, the game has its flaws on the Switch.

Unravel Two lands on Switch losing a little bit of its visual quality, but gaining the possibility of share its gameplay in any place and moment (portable mode included). It doesn't have new content, so if you played it when it was launched last year, you won't find anything new. It's the very same charming platform game with physics puzzles.

It's not something I would typically seek out on my own, but I bought it to play through with my girlfriend who is not a gamer at all and we had a great time with it. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an engaging cooperative game that does not have a high skill requirement. The controls are smooth and fun, and very easy to pick up on after the first few levels. Expand

You can tell there was a load of effort in every single area in this game. There are always small details in the background. The music is ambient and I really like it. Overall, Unravel Two is a very smooth platformer with a great narrative to back it up. It's really fun whether you're playing it by yourself or with a friend. Have a lovely day/night, folks! Expand

A lovely art style, paired with nice physics and customization options which you unlock in side challenges. Also a lovely central hub with a load of details to discover! I take two points off for a weird background story which seems totally off to the actual game (but it's easy to ignore) and for the short length. Some challenges are also just plain stupid. Expand

i played this in two-player mode with a friend. this game is not worth it at full price. it's really only worth it if it's about $5. what Ii played this in two-player mode with a friend. this game is not worth it at full price. it's really only worth it if it's about $5. what I didn't like:
    - very hard to tell what items and features are interactable and what aren't, design/visuals are very confusing where what seems to be foreground objects turn out to be in the background and vice versa. in some levels there were fire spirit things that chase after you and kill you but most of the time, it's quite hard to see them until they're right there on top of you. i wish the game made it more obvious. it was super frustrating
    - game is very inconsistent with what happens when you do stuff. e.g. in some areas, if you touch water you drown. in other areas, you can actually swim in it. or sometimes, you can stand on a revolving gear. other times, it kills you if you just touch it lol
    - perspective issues. my friend and i played it on a big TV but our avatars were very tiny and we felt like we had to squint to see everything on the screen
    - not gonna lie, most of the levels were boring or tedious/convoluted/repetitive
    - the story/plot was boring and hard to follow

it's disappointing because i really liked the first one and i love the soundtrack of this game
