Fans wanted Unravel Two on Switch and they got it. While it took some patience, the wait was certainly worth it. [Issue #39 – May/June 2019, p. 30]

Unravel Two is a sheer delight. You can feel the love and care that went into crafting every fibre of this heart-warming adventure, and the emotional bond between the Yarnys resonates every step of the way. With a stunning range of sights to see, a beautiful soundtrack and a meticulous blend of challenging yet accessible puzzles, you can’t help but fall in love with this game. This is still worth your time if you’re playing solo, but if you have a co-op companion to join you, this game should be an essential part of your Switch library. Don’t miss it.

Some games are simply a pleasure to play from beginning to end, and Unravel Two is one of them. It’s a masterfully crafted adventure that keeps you glued to your screen, and melts your heart as the credits roll.

Between its immensely fun co-operative gameplay and its charming approach to storytelling, Unravel Two is an excellent follow up to an already stellar indie title, and I genuinely hope that Coldwood Interactive continues to thrive to bring us more creative experiences like this one.

Unravel Two lands on Nintendo Switch with the same magic it had a year ago. A beautiful game that believes in itself to offer a great coop experience with really inspired artistic and level design.

Unravel Two improves upon its predecessor and has a decent showing on the Switch. The gameplay is as fun and clever as it has ever been, making it one of the best cooperative (and mobile) experiences money can currently buy on the Switch, even though the technical downgrade to make it feasible is noticeable throughout. If you aren't bothered by that, be sure to check out Unravel Two.

Unravel Two is a fun and unique (as far as the Switch goes) puzzle-platformer that feels right at home on the console. This is a great choice for playing together with any member of your family.

If you’re a genre fan, Unravel Two would be a very good choice, even more so if you have someone to enjoy its puzzles with via co-op. While some of its choices didn’t quite hit the bullseye – much of the folk music clashes with the on-screen action – it offers a solid amount of high-quality content. And again, Unravel Two will leave you thinking, which is another plus.

A good port of an already good co-op platformer that doesn't do anything new, nor anything but despite being relatively short.

Unravel Two is a beautiful adventure where friendship and cooperation go hand in hand. Its beautiful scenarios together with its ingenious physics-based puzzles and beautiful melodies make this title an unforgettable experience for every fan of the genre.

Unravel Two is a short but sweet little adventure that makes interesting use of its two yarn-crafted characters. While playing the game alone is still an enjoyable option, its focus on light puzzling is definitely more fun when tackled with another player. A visually impressive and charming treat.

Unravel Two is a game with many layers. On the surface lies a cooperative puzzle-platformer about two adorable yarn creatures. Underneath are meaningful narratives about escaping to safety and working together to form a brighter future. Even deeper are bittersweet and heartfelt messages about companionship, love, and the ties that bind. Coldwood’s little game about two tiny Yarnies on a grand adventure has an astounding depth that is fun to unravel.

Despite the beautiful and fluent gameplay, the game has its flaws on the Switch.

Unravel 2 finally lands on the Nintendo Switch and what it brings is nothing more than an involving and beautiful looking puzzler with a simple but interesting plot and a charming local multiplayer component. Thanks to the handheld format of the Switch Unravel 2 is a marvelous game to play on the go.

Although I would’ve liked more challenge in the campaign, I still had fun with Unravel Two right up until the very end. Yarny is an adorable character that stole my heart right from the beginning, and the unique puzzles that come from both characters being literally strung together made for a fresh spin on co-op puzzle solving. I feel like I missed out on something special by playing by myself, and I think that if you get the opportunity you should definitely play the whole campaign with a friend.

Unravel Two offers some good new ideas and has the good taste to be equally playable alone or with a friend. But the magic can’t operate twice and Unravel Two sometimes feels repetitive and predictable.

Unravel Two is a good adventure platform game with a clever puzzle design, inspired by co-op gameplay mechanics, but it is very similar to the first one too.

Unravel Two was already a wonderful little game, filled with heartfelt moments of poignant storytelling and challenging platforming puzzles, and now it has a fitting new home on Nintendo Switch. Even with a few downgrades to the visuals, Unravel Two is far from an inferior experience when played on Nintendo's hybrid system. Full of charm and character, it’s one of the best co-operative platformers you can play anywhere, and another robust Switch port that was well worth the wait.

Unravel Two lands on Switch losing a little bit of its visual quality, but gaining the possibility of share its gameplay in any place and moment (portable mode included). It doesn't have new content, so if you played it when it was launched last year, you won't find anything new. It's the very same charming platform game with physics puzzles.

It's not something I would typically seek out on my own, but I bought it to play through with my girlfriend who is not a gamer at all and we had a great time with it. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an engaging cooperative game that does not have a high skill requirement. The controls are smooth and fun, and very easy to pick up on after the first few levels. Full Review »
