The game doesn't have many mechanics but the mechanics that it does have are used in so many different ways that the game never becomes tedious. Some parts of the game are genuinely challenging and offer new experiences to even the most seasoned puzzle-solver. Finally, the musical score is phenomenal and offers a perfectly peaceful complement to many of the dynamic backgrounds. Unravel Two is a must-have for fans of puzzle or platforming games. Expand

I’m playing this game with my sister and it is just such a good game. The music is so atmospheric and the game mechanics are so clever.

Such a beautiful and peaceful game. I've only played co-op with my gf (not a gamer) and we both have really enjoyed Unravel Two.

When I started playing this game I thought it was a really cute and fun experience but the more i played it the more I started to realize that the levels were so samey and there was so little innovation in level design. The levels are way too long and this game just becomes so boring so quickly.

Bought the game on Cyber Monday when it fell to $4.99, been playing this game with my buddies, taking turns, and so far it's pretty gnarly, I love the little yarn style they went with and the new addition of a second player, and I would play the single player mode on a different switch account and there are no disadvantages with it! Although I liked this game it has its major flaw. The scenes in the background of the children hiding from abusive parents is to me very disturbing. Yes the little string characters are very cute but I would not recommend this game for children as they do not need to see that kind of thing, whether they come from a good home or from a home that is abusive it isn't right for them to see. Games are meant to distract you from reality. If the background of these games continue to be depressing I will no longer buy this designer's games as I do not want my children to see that. Expand

Very fun and challenging game The main story has easy & medium difficulty challenges, however, extra levels can be though. As pros, music & game atmosphere gave a good experience, it is nice to play in co-op mode, and puzzles make this game a nice to play.

I have played the first one which I found extremely boring thus haven’t finished it. And while the purely mechanical and gameplay wise execution is brilliant and engaging, I can’t help but gasp at how uninspired and mediocre the world building is (past the first chapter) and how downright terrible the music is. Whoever was responsible for the audio part of the game, seemingly made sure to make the player think that the music is as unrelated to the game as possible, as if seemingly taken from another title or perhaps some background elevator stuff. Rarely you find these days such a misfire when it comes to music. It affected immersion so much that I had to turn it off. Story is unnecessary and feels artificial. It’s like the developers didn’t coordinate their work and just slapped together whatever elements. If you can look past that (I couldn’t), then there is much to enjoy in this game. Expand

i played this in two-player mode with a friend. this game is not worth it at full price. it's really only worth it if it's about $5. what I didn't like:

    - very hard to tell what items and features are interactable and what aren't, design/visuals are very confusing where what seems to be foreground objects turn out to be in the background and vice versa. in some levels there were fire spirit things that chase after you and kill you but most of the time, it's quite hard to see them until they're right there on top of you. i wish the game made it more obvious. it was super frustrating
    - game is very inconsistent with what happens when you do stuff. e.g. in some areas, if you touch water you drown. in other areas, you can actually swim in it. or sometimes, you can stand on a revolving gear. other times, it kills you if you just touch it lol
    - perspective issues. my friend and i played it on a big TV but our avatars were very tiny and we felt like we had to squint to see everything on the screen
    - not gonna lie, most of the levels were boring or tedious/convoluted/repetitive
    - the story/plot was boring and hard to follow

it's disappointing because i really liked the first one and i love the soundtrack of this game

Visually gorgeous game, amazing soundtrack and good intro to platformers for non-gamers (played a lot with the gf). Don't expect a Donkey Kong in terms of difficulty (still decent challenges at times), but the engaging cooperation and aesthetics should be more than enough to keep you coming back.

This game has no business being so good. It immerses you in this tiny little, beautifully rendered world. The sound design is really soothing, and I found it really calming. It really looks and sounds magical.

The gameplay is really fun and unique. They've done a great job of handling the dual characters in single player. I never found it difficult to switch or complete levels. And I

No, it's not the most challenging game, but that's not a bad thing. I enjoy a really challenging game, but sometimes I just want something lighter. It's got enough challenge to keep you engaged but still keep it relaxing.

If you’re a genre fan, Unravel Two would be a very good choice, even more so if you have someone to enjoy its puzzles with via co-op. While some of its choices didn’t quite hit the bullseye – much of the folk music clashes with the on-screen action – it offers a solid amount of high-quality content. And again, Unravel Two will leave you thinking, which is another plus.
