    I just think it’s a really good game, with excellent artistic direction, awesome osts, and creative game design. It made me feel a lot of emotions, and that’s all I need from a game.

    Tears of the Kingdom builds on what Breath of the Wild created. The new abilities are simplified and expanded--the abilities are more intuitive and allow for greater creativity. The narrative is stronger than BOTW's. However, it is still relatively simple and not one of the greatest highlights of the game.

    One of the assets of this game is you have the freedom to do as much or as little    Tears of the Kingdom builds on what Breath of the Wild created. The new abilities are simplified and expanded--the abilities are more intuitive and allow for greater creativity. The narrative is stronger than BOTW's. However, it is still relatively simple and not one of the greatest highlights of the game.

    One of the assets of this game is you have the freedom to do as much or as little as you like. There are tons of shrines and side quests that could take hundreds of hours, or you can approach the main quests more directly, opting for minimal side content. I appreciated this; after about 100 hours, I felt ready to move on.

    The creativity of building using Zonai devices is limited somewhat by the need for resources, which must be farmed. This is not especially satisfying. In fact, anything requiring combat is underwhelming, much like BOTW. Fusing weapons is an interesting new layer to what was present in BOTW, but it doesn't do anything to fundamentally alter the combat.    … Expand

    The world is really good, and it's a step up from "BREATH OF THE WILD", with even more interesting new abilities. But the game screen has not changed, and I even feel that the FPS in many scenes is more unstable.

    Thoughts-
    Breath of the Wild hit the gaming industry with the force of a supernova, instantly celebrated as arguably the greatest game ever made, and remaking a lot of the industry in its image. It should not have been possible for its follow up to hit as hard as it – and to be fair, Tears of the Kingdom will never have the same influence and impact Breath of the Wild did (how can it? It itself is following in its footsteps after all).

    But it manages to hit almost that hard anyway, and it achieves that with a staggeringly high level of quality – a level so high that it makes you wonder at the chasm separating the quality of this game, and most other games on the market – all delivered across an almost unacceptably large volume of content to boot. Breath of the Wild may have been the more influential game (and for many that preferred its simplicity and elegance of design, it will probably remain their preferred one of the pair), but in almost every way, by almost every conceivable metric, Tears of the Kingdom is the better game. And delivering a follow up to one of the best games ever made that is, somehow, even better? No words are necessary at this point. This game is a masterpiece, and any fan of the medium will do themselves a disservice if they don’t check it out.    … Expand

    Not a perfect game performance-wise and has a "been there done that" feel at times, but the creativity injected into the original formula makes this a CLASSIC. The fact that you can combine and manipulate most items and objects in the environment now means this is even educational for children. The puzzles and early fights require a lot of creativity and problem solving.     I was a bit skeptical at first, was worried about how it would run on the switch but from the moment I started playing I was hooked, this game delivered in ways I wasn't expecting. The exploration in this game is amazing and the side quests are also as fu as the main quest. This has become my game of the year.

    Just completed the game at around 130 hours. I have not done everything, but have done most things. Improved upon botw in nearly every way. The story was solid, and the final boss battle was GOW level in how epic it was. I’m happy to complete the game, and it was one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played for a long time.

    The game is amazing, its a Zelda game with new mechanics... Everyone complaining that its not the "old" Zelda need to realize that not every game should be exactly how it was before, change is good sometimes... And Nintendo certainly showed us with these last two Zelda games lol

Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom the 20th mainline game of the franchise, fix many of Breath of the Wild flaws such as weapon durability, a more engaging story/plot and a better progression system, the Fuse and Ultrahand abilities much more intereting combat/puzzle possibities thanks to the expanded phsyc engine, and tree layers of exploration(the sky, surface and the depths), each one offering different kind of gameplay styles, with a vastly expanded Hyrule, the depth for a more challeging game, and the sky for a more puzzle focused gameplay, Dungeons are back in form that a mix of Divine Beast and tradicional style Dungeons, the lead up to the Dungeons are much more improved also compared to Tears of the Kingdom, with better enemies variety now, Tears of the Kingdom is perfect mix of the BOTW formula and the tradicional Zelda formula, perfecting everything Breath of the Wild have, when also adding elements fans of the franchise asked like tradicional Dungeons, a more engaging story and so on.… Expand

    They did a good job establishing Link as a determined hard motherfuxxer from the get go by making you plunge head first from kilometers away, unlike the bs the woke army has been trying to do with the character. They also removed the stupid Ubisoft towers and made the enemies hit harder.

    its just the perfect game if you want an open world that feels so alive and with mechanics and physics so real its mind boggling specially if you are a Zelda fan you can truly call this game your home. I am new to Zelda and the story is amazing I can not put it down this game is so good. definitely will play the rest of the Zelda games I can find on my Switch.

    We finally have dungeons!!! The weapon system got a lot better since BOTW, there are nearly infinite amounts of weapons to make, they are still breaking but that only makes fighting more interesting. The fuse ability is a game changer while fighting, attaching a spring to your shield makes you jump higher, and you can confuse your opponent with special kinds of mushrooms which makes theWe finally have dungeons!!!     To sum up this review, take Breath of the Wild, a game I gave a 9/10 to and make it bigger with sky islands and the depths, better with more and new craft-able options that makes almost every single item you get in this game useful and then raise the bar by adding    For the second time ever in my years playing video games.     To sum up this review, take Breath of the Wild, a game I gave a 9/10 to and make it bigger with sky islands and the depths, better with more and new craft-able options that makes almost every single item you get in this game useful and then raise the bar by adding physic breaking abilities. The main quests and side quests are great which is the same as exploring the world where you will find yourself finding something interesting that side tracks you almost every turn you make. Last but not least this massive open-world game adds physic breaking abilities and the game launch experience is smooth which is impressive for a game like this on the Nintendo Switch no less.

    Nintendo took a grand slam and then launched it out of the park and is by far the best Nintendo game I have ever played, dating back to the N64.

    Can't believe they didn't just make this thing a DLC.

Up to try any genre of games and sometimes I find something new that I didn't think I'd like. I own a little bit of everything; PC (built by me), Xbox, Playstation, and a Switch. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    The game’s features may work, but are nothing that even casual players haven’t seen before. A decent game from beginning to end.

    It feels like I'm playing the god mode version of Breath of the Wild. They give a bunch of OP abilities at the start of the game that lets you cheese through the game. I would avoid the abilities to get a better experience. I loved the original but this one for some reason is not giving me the same feeling. Not sure why since everything is similar to the original. Maybe it's exactly that, too familiar, a place I feel like I already explored.

    Une incroyable aventure, un gameplay addictif, une direction artistique au top.. on a vraiment du mal à lâcher la manette une fois qu’on y a gouté… le seul défaut, c’est le hardware complètement périmé de la switch… faire tourner ce chef-d’œuvre sur une telle console est tout simplement un gâchis….

    Building constructs is very fun even though it can be awkward/clumsy at times. And I'm glad I had a glitch that allowed duplication, it made the game more fun and less grindy !     I honestly love almost everything about Tears of The Kingdom. As a super hyped up sequel to one of the best games released ever, it is obviously very hard to meet everyone's expectation with it. And I would say that TOTK outdone BOTW in almost every aspect (the new mechanics they introduced), that I had to stop myself from playing it after a 10 hour session with TOTK cuz the new mechanicsI honestly love almost everything about Tears of The Kingdom. As a super hyped up sequel to one of the best games released ever, it is obviously very hard to meet everyone's expectation with it. And I would say that TOTK outdone BOTW in almost every aspect (the new mechanics they introduced), that I had to stop myself from playing it after a 10 hour session with TOTK cuz the new mechanics and the refurbished Hyrule are just so damn fun to explore and play with.

    The reason why I think it's a 9/10 though is that I think the story of TOTK is probably the weakest part of the game. It's not essentially a terrible story, like for example the opening of the game is one of the most exciting hook to a story I've ever witnessed in the entire gaming franchise, but I just think that when it comes to what BOTW offered story wise, the story of TOTK in the later part lacks the kind of emotional tug to me the way BOTW did.

    Obviously, what made BOTW amazing is definitely not about the story, and TOTK is absolutely a better version of BOTW when it comes to the game-play aspect. But I'd have to say that the story of TOTK made me not as submerged and emotionally connected to the game as i did with BOTW. But if you're here for the gameplay, TOTK is definitely a must-play and 10/10 when it comes to game mechanics.    … Expand

    Increíble como hace ver a un juego como breath of the wild como un juego inferior siendo este un juego de 10 en mi opinión. El zelda tears of the kingdom mejora en todos los apartados.

    Historia más emocionante que la de botw, el mapa es 3 veces mas grande y me encantó, lo del subsuelo para mi fue dios casi me lo completo. Era muy difícil que dieran una experiencia igual que el juego anterior pero en mi opinión lo lograron y mejor. GOTY

    I am 20 hours in and it’s literally the most fun i had in all my life of gaming. This game gives you a sense of freedom like nothing else in this medias landscape and i am so grateful that i am able to play this. I am collecting video games for years now and played around 300 - 400 games. This game easily takes the number 1 spot :)

    Tears of the kingdom makes everything better that    I am 20 hours in and it’s literally the most fun i had in all my life of gaming. This game gives you a sense of freedom like nothing else in this medias landscape and i am so grateful that i am able to play this. I am collecting video games for years now and played around 300 - 400 games. This game easily takes the number 1 spot :)

    Tears of the kingdom makes everything better that seperated the already wonderful breath of the wild from being perfect. I hope you can enjoy this game as much me. Don‘t listen to these reviewbombing ,,iT‘s JuSt aN dLc“ guys. They never played a masterpiece like this and probally never will. Let them play their ubisoft ***** while we enjoy this masterpiece of a game.

    Mostly a fun game. Although the gluie-stick-arm feels really stupid as Links "superpower". In Addition 6 years waiting for this game is simply too long. The graphics are worse and more unstable then in the first game. The weapon break system is still annoying. But all in all still an enjoyable experience.

    Welp its certainly a BOTW remix. If you liked the previous game you will like this one, if not it does very little to improve on the problems of the original. This game has a lot of issues past the surface. The rewards form exploration are still poor, the UI is still not good and the game has basically no accessibility options not even brightness. Many of the ideas in this game wear out fast: depths is cool for a few minutes but its very much same textures and not much besides autobuild and batteries which are not really needed since game always pushes you to use same vechicles/ builds. Its pretty empty and meaningless past a point. Sky islands also have little to do minus spirit sage. There are more types of enemies but they still feel underwhelming comparatively, nor are they that interesting. and you beat them mostly wwith arrows. The story is plain poor, not only are memories scattered and poor way to teel it but it feels just same rehash like they threw in ideas from ocarina and any other zelda with little impact, and direction and can be pretty much skipped to light dragon. The dungeons while some are ok they really still feel like they fall short of this series potential and did not improve enough. Ultra hand while fun slows the pace and usually results in making same stuff that works i enjoy it for engineering brain but it tanks framerate and the game doesn't fully use its potential. The allies abilities work poorly when trying to activate and get in the way, botw had better ones like revali that helped how did that regress? Link and ganon especially ganon is underwhelming and barely characters at times. at times world feels large for the sake of it. It really feels like they used alot of botw again with same map but didn't fix its issues. i don't understand how it took 6 years at times and $70 is alot to ask for what feels like a game i already played 6 years ago. It also ignores events and stuff prom previous game like sheikah and just replaces it making it not really a good sequel in narrative or some aspects. TLDR its botw remix solidly made but underwhelming and frustrating.… Expand

    Took everything about BOTW and improved on it! Amazing game play and combat. Exploration has never been more fun with ways to make vehicles. From the depths to the sky I have so much fun exploring hyrule. BOTW was already my favorite game of all time, now it is tears of the kingdom!

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an direct improvement on what is one of the greatest games of all time. It uses what worked about Breath of the Wild and introduces a large amount of mechanics that can inspire creativity and make new ways to explore its ever-more-expansive world.

    However, it wasn't until I immersed myself in the game for a couple of hours that I realized the true depth of its gameplay. I thought I understood the Ultrahand, Recall, and Ascend, but I was repeatedly amazed by the possibilities of its amazing diverse combinations. From diving from the floating island into the dark underworld and riding a Autobuilded flying motorcycle to illuminate the underground world, I finally understood.

    "Tears of the Kingdom" is not just a DLC for "Breath of the Wild"; rather, "Breath of the Wild" was a gorgeous crafted prologue to "Tears of the Kingdom."

    Once again, I immerse in the Nintendo Style Shock. Not only in its meticulously designed new gameplay, story, maps, and puzzles but also in its ability to show me that adding new gameplay "Elements" is always limited. However, by creating new "Dimensions" of gameplay and allowing old and new elements to multiply and expand boundaries in different "Dimensions", a game can truly approach infinity.    … Expand

    I suggest not using fast travel, to really get the most out of the experience. Massive, yet dense world. Story is even more fantasy immersion. If all you see is BOTW DLC, I fear what life may look like through your eyes. Historic work of art and an engineering marvel.

Tears é uma expansão de botw é realmente uma sequencia ,então se vc quer algo de diferente do botw então o jogo não é para vc ,o jogo continua tendo shrines , o mesmo metodo de contar historia e a mecanica de combate com algumas implementações novas ,porem um dos maiores diferenciais desse jogo pro seu antecessor é os poderes novos que vira o jogador novo e os jogadores antigos da serie de cabeça pra baixo, nunca se foi tão divertido e bem implementado suas mecanicas com um mundo como esse jogo é, esse jogo te desafiar a pensar de maneira criativa usando as ferramentas que ele te dá e de forma diferente de botw, onde agora o processo de montar seu veiculo ou bigiganga pra te divertir pra camba ao se sentir um genio.
    Mas é só isso ? então não, tears corrige todos os problemas de botw ,poucos inimigos ? não mais ,mundo vazio ? não mais.
    Mas o mapa é o mesmo ? sim , porem não parece nada ,o mapa foi modificado de um jeito que vc sabe que está em um lugar antigo de botw quando vê um ponto forte de referencia, mas se olhar tudo ao seu redor esta diferente e com coisas diferentes para fazer. Alem que ha novidades que acresentam o mapa tanto para cima ,quanto para baixo.
    A novidade em relação a itens ? sim , o jogo tá recheado de itens novos e que te dá colecionaveis novos e moedas de trocas novas para incresentar mais progressão para suas novas ferramentas.
    E a performance ? No switch ela tá muito boa ,o fps cai um pouco ao usar a mecanica de construção quando sua criação tem muitos objetos , mas não é algo que incomode, na verdade o mais impressionante é quando vc sobe para os ceus ou desce e desce para mapas mais abaixo e não há loading ou até quedas ao transitar entre os 3 niveis diferentes de mapa , A Nintedo fez bruxaria pra otimizar isso.
    No geral temos um jogo que faz com que Zelda breath of wild pareça um beta ,ele melhora tudo e incresenta coisas ainda melhores, definitivamente não há nada melhor do que esse jogo dentro desse genero e não tem nenhum jogo que chega perto de fazer oque ele faz.
    Se vc tem um switch ou pc gamer vá jogar ,fassa esse favor pra si mesmo.

I love the game so much that i have ToTK in the back of my mind whenever i spend time away from it. From the dungeons, underground, caves, sky islands, amazing story, this game has it all.     Una secuela directa que cambia tantisimas cosas que realmente se convierte en un juego totalmente nuevo y ajeno al anterior, algo similar a    El Juego es una locura en más de un aspecto, a pesar de ser un juego para una consola híbrida de hace 6 años todo lo que hacía bien su antecesor (Breath of the wild) en esta secuela se ve llevado a su máxima expresión al grado de incluso superar todo.

    Una secuela directa que cambia tantisimas cosas que realmente se convierte en un juego totalmente nuevo y ajeno al anterior, algo similar a lo ocurrido con "Ocarina of time y Majora's Mask).

    Tears of the kingdom es una propuesta revolucionaria que no tiene miedo a competir contra gráficos fotorealistas o consolas súper potentes ya que tanto su sistema de mecánicas, su mundo tan rico y lleno de vida, su banda Sonora excelente y su apartado de artistico, crean un mundo único que te sumergirá de lleno desde el segundo uno.

    Tras 70 horas de juego aún se siente que no has visto ni una pequeña parte de todo lo que te ofrece el juego y la historia es exelente.

    No obstante no puedo decir que el juego sea perfecto aunque para mi lo sea, se tiene que ser objetivo al dar una reseña y su punto más débil y en mi opinión es el único error que tiene es la potencia de la consola, a pesar de eso Nintendo junto al equipo de Monolithsoft hicieron un trabajo excepcional, el juego corre igual que su predecesor a 900p/30fps en modo dock y 720p/30fps en modo portátil, sin embargo el juego está súper pulido y los fotogramas son totalmente estables salvo momentos muy puntuales donde llegan a bajar hasta 20fps,
    También la implementación del FSR de AMD el juego luce de maravilla.

    Conclusiones: Nintendo siempre hace un trabajo de admiración con Zelda, es una genialidad lo que logran y que siempre su franquicia rompedora e innovadora ha sido Zelda, Tears of the kingdom provocó en nosotros una inseguridad pero superó cada adversidad trayendonos algo único e inolvidable, es un juego imprescindible y me atrevo a afirmar que el nuevo mejor juego de la historia.    … Expand

    A deserving sequel to Breath of the Wild. While those who disliked the BOTW formula will likely not enjoy this title, I am glad Nintendo took the chance and gave us such a unique and interesting game. The sandbox is an amazingly wacky joy to play in, the sense of exploration still present around every corner, and the overall polish is something most games don't bother with these days.

    Alors oui la technique n'est pas au niveau des PS5 et j'en passe, mais ce n'est pas l'objectif d'une switch. D'ailleurs la direction artistique du jeu permet de s'évader dans un univers enchanteur et clairement immersif.
    Je peux aussi entendre que le faite de construire certains véhicules peu déranger, mais hormis quelques phases de jeu, ce n'est absolument pas obligatoire, et les moyens de déplacement de BOTW sont toujours d'actualités (paravoile, cheval, téléportation,...).

    TOTK n'est aucunement un DLC mais l'aboutissement d'une formule qui ferait presque passer BOTW pour un brouillon. Et je conseille à tout ceux qui n'ont pas fait le jeu de s'y mettre, vous vous perdrez dans un monde aussi riche que vaste et vous ne verrez pas le temps passé.

This is a game you have to "play yourself" you have to figure out how to play it. Even just traveling from point A to point B, there are so many ways if you ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME!!!! I never found myself bored since I picked up TotK, always find things to do, puzzles to solve, there are so many stuff to do, I always found myself side tracked with some random activities when I was planning to do a quest, And I get people who hate the fuse system, but I personally love it, it just gave you more freedom, and some of the fused weapons, shields are absolutely hilarious.

    I wanna say this is GOTY, but later this year have FF16 and Armored Core, But TotK is definitely a strong contender for GOTY    … Expand

I'm giving this a 10/10 to help pad the review bombs that is currently being put out by people who are sad and have little else to do in their lives. Anyone who is saying this is just a dlc is clearly not really giving credit to the game for it's work. I have issues with it as well, so I'm not saying it's a perfect game, though I find it highly enjoyable and perhaps as good or better than it's predecessor. The good:
    It's a beautiful game. It has more detailing than BOTW and they streamlined a lot of what people complained about. The monster variability is excellent (though not quite to the caliber of older games. I just think sacrifices have to be made for a game this size). The winner though. What sets this game aboverthe rest and puts it beyond any dlc is the Depths. An underground as big as the surface with its own ecosystem, it's own history and story, monsters, play system. It's really original and I've not seen anything quite like it in other games. It's creepy, atmospheric and just lovely. The abilities Link has access to--your imagination really is the limit. It's a feat of coding. It really is. There's so much to do, it's almost overwhelming. And they make building accessible too! So if you just want to have fun without progressing, you can. I completed the map before continuing with any of the game's story. This game offers so much. I played three days non stop, easily of 48 hours, and did not get bored easily (though sometimes frustrated, because they definitely upped the monster difficulty!)

    The game's style is so beautiful and the music is just perfect. They did so well with the soundtrack that I'm blown away. I love the characters and their style as well. Well done in that perspective. The Bad:
    The story mechanics are almost cut/paste. You see stories through memories you find, though these are prettier in style. The attaching menu is honestly difficult. They should have made a quick access menu for throwing and attaching to arrows we could customize. It's awful cycling through my entire inventory looking for that damn bomb flower!

    The mechanics to gaming could be streamlined a little. I find myself pushing the incorrect buttons trying to find Link's abilities, though it doesn't take long for me to correct.

    Takeaway:

    Tears of the Kingdom is a breathtaking game that will give you hours (and I mean hours) of fun and creativity with original environments to explore and challenging monsters and puzzles.     The Game is perfect, it hooked me right from the beginning and is hard to put down once u start playing the mark of a great game. I’m pretty picky with my games as I don’t have infinite time to play all the games that release, if a game loses my interest even a little I usually shelve it. Not this game it definitely has me hooked a rarity in my opinion in the current gaming landscape.     This game is definitely going to win Game of the Year for 2023. Massive step up from Breath of the Wild, it feels like a complete wave of fresh air in comparison. For those who haven't played BotW already but want to play TotK and aren't sure, watch the story recap video for BotW on Nintendo's YouTube channel and go straight into playing TotK. For those who haven't played BotW already but want to play TotK and aren't sure, watch the story recap video for BotW on Nintendo's YouTube channel and go straight into playing TotK. You can play BotW beforehand if you want and it won't dull your experience with TotK, but that's just my personal recommendation.

    And for those who are worried about performance, from my experience 10 hours into the game so far I can say it's pretty smooth. There are a couple instances in which the framerate can dip below 30FPS such as while using Ultrahand when there are a ton of effects or entities on the screen or in that one apple orchard on Satori Mountain, but apart from that? The game is mostly a solid 30FPS. The game is using what I like to call "Cheap VRR" in which whenever a frame drop happens in those instances I mentioned, the game will lock out at either a smooth 25FPS or 20FPS with consistent frametimes to alleviate input delay and the feeling of complete choppiness so it doesn't feel as jarring.

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
