    This game brings old good memories back! Refreshed version of oldschool rail shooter with new addons. Before you play please be aware to adjust gyro settings. Kicking zombie assess never get boring. Especially good game to play with friends on big TV screen. Have fun.

    Super-huge change comparing to PC version from 1998. Everything is bigger, better and looks super nice (beside scenario and all things that should remain the same).     Memories playing this game came back like a flash after turning it on. Performance is better than expected. Gyro aiming for joy-cons after setting for like 1 minute is great and can be played without stick. Waiting for HOTD2 remake after supporting HOTD1 developers.

    It's basically exactly what I expected. If you want to use gyro, it helped me to rest my elbow on something to help with aiming. There are settings you can change to help you tweak it out. Not quite as immersive as holding an arcade gun, but it's pretty close and the game itself is better than the original. Fun stuff!

    Yesterday we played with friends and we had a lot of fun.
    I did not expect anything more from this game.
    This is not an AAA and never was. The game is short….. damn, the original was the same, this is a remake not new game.
    Let's be honest, Switch isn't the best console for HOTD, but for now I am enjoying what is currently available.
    I hope the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and developer will add a light gun, then it will be a perfect combination.

    Try to let it grow on you... Im a HoD fanboy so might not be the most objective here. Been waiting for this game for a long time and my biggest concern was: how will aiming work? There is no light gun for switch so we are left with gyro. Thankfully it does work! Its not perfect though but with few hours training it gets commfy enough - so really give it a try.

    This game brings back so many positive memories! It is the best thing that happened to me lately. Everything in it is just as the original game was back in the time. The Developers polished it, dressed in modern graphics and added some fun add-ons to keep us longer with the game. But really it is the good old House of the Dead! Totally recommend it.

    Definitely brings back the memories from Sega Saturn. Some people will complain about shortness of the game and graphics but you all need to remember It's a pure remake. Check how the original game looked like and compare it to the remake (there are some even videos on YT). I know it doesn't look like an AAA game, but it's not a point here.     I would give 10 If I had a light gun to it, however, I know that's not possible due to the technical limitations. Generally I had a good time playing it and you can play with your friend sitting together on one couch. From the cons department, If I had to pick something that would be some random FPS drops.    … Expand

    this remake is amazing and faithful to the source material depend on voice acting style and the difficulty is higher so it'll be more exciting and make players more hyper while playing even if it was slowed down but fair for new players who wants to get into the nostalgia of house of the dead series in a whole that's my opinion.

    Love the nostalgia that it has made, it's like a travel back into your childhood. You can feel again like a young boy from the past, I was really enjoying such a feeling.
    However you need to set up options for the gyro aiming, if you will not do it will problematic.
    Still waiting for some lightgun it would make it much funnier.     Polecam. Ocena 9/10. Minus za dłubanie w ustawieniach. Gra super jedyne co mi sprawiło trudność to ustawienie gyros. Troszkę zabawy ale się udało a zabawa przednia. Już nie mogę się doczekać kolejnych gier HODR2 i oczywiście FM1. Chłopaki z Foreveren Ent. i Mega Pixel odwalili kawał dobrej roboty. Dziękuję w imieniu moim i moich kolegów za zapewnienie nam dobrej zabawy i powrót doPolecam. Ocena 9/10. Minus za dłubanie w ustawieniach.     The gyro controls on a pro-controller actually work really well when playing this game. You do have to manually re-center your gun sight quite regularly with the left thumbstick between zombie encounters, but using the gyro controls is a fun and effective way to play. I played through this game 12 times within my first 2 days of purchase.     No cóż mogło być lepiej, ale i tak nie jest źle. Umówmy się że Switch to jednak nie jest docelowa konsola na tego typu gry. Grafika mogłaby być lepsza, sterowanie również. Ale jak się troszkę poświęci czasu na zabawę z ustawieniami to sterowanie staje się dużo bardziej znośne i zaczyna się odczuwać dużo większą przyjemność z gry. Po prawie 10 godzinach grania (a niby gra na godzinę :)),No cóż mogło być lepiej, ale i tak nie jest źle. Umówmy się że Switch to jednak nie jest docelowa konsola na tego typu gry. Grafika mogłaby być lepsza, sterowanie również. Ale jak się troszkę poświęci czasu na zabawę z ustawieniami to sterowanie staje się dużo bardziej znośne i zaczyna się odczuwać dużo większą przyjemność z gry. Po prawie 10 godzinach grania (a niby gra na godzinę :)), mam pewność że jeszcze nie raz pogram ze znajomymi. Dałbym 7,5, ale ponieważ nie ma takiej opcji to daję 8 - trochę na wyrost, a trochę na zachętę dla twórców remak'a - jednak odwalili kawał dobrej roboty. Mam nadzieję że HODT2 Remake będzie jeszcze lepszy.… Expand

    People complain a lot that joy con aim does not work. If you adjust the settings of the joy con deadzone to 34/100 + turn off auto aim, it works awesome. Me and a friend just finished it on normal mode and didn't had any troubles with joy con aiming. It kinda felt like a light gun shooter.     Such a very well done remake, it captured the House of the Dead arcade feel. Graphics is good, the revamped enemy designs are great, the atmospheric tone and cheesy voice acted dialogues are still there. It's really fun to play with friends especially with a gun accessory to attach your joy cons with in gyro mode.

    May only gripe is that the campaign just seemed too short, after we beat    Such a very well done remake, it captured the House of the Dead arcade feel. Graphics is good, the revamped enemy designs are great, the atmospheric tone and cheesy voice acted dialogues are still there. It's really fun to play with friends especially with a gun accessory to attach your joy cons with in gyro mode.

    The House of the Dead: Remake is a contemporary update of the first game in The House of the Dead series and this remake does a decent job with most elements, giving us a good looking world, competent controls and a very welcome and challenging new game mode. At this level, this remake successfully brings the experience to our day and age. Its performance is affected in the most intense moments, though, especially in multiplayer mode and its long loading times may be off-putting for less patient players.

    The House of the Dead remake is characterized by a faithful embodiment of the elements of the original. However, it does not reproduce the sophisticated manipulation and immersion, which are characteristics of the gun shooting genre, so it stays in the remake as a rip-off of the original, not a remake beyond the original.
