Apr 11, 2022Poor graphics, poor sound, poor loading times. Unreadable text, awful controls.
I was a huge fan of the original two games but don't let that fool you into wasting your money on this -

Apr 10, 2022The hardest enemy in the game is the gyro aiming, the drift it terrible and will likely cause RSI. Despite using "Performance Mode" the frame rate is Star Fox levels of jittery. The dialogue is cheesy feeding into the nostalgia but doesn't make up for the shonky mechanics

Apr 8, 2022The Japan version of game was heavily censored. There is no headshot. you can't shoot off limbs also you can't kill the scientists, these lost elements seriously affect the gameplay.
My most regretted pre-order. -
Apr 15, 2022Although it is a remake of a game that I liked as a child, this game... well, in the graphic section it is very lively for a zombie game, some graphics take time to load and the magician model is somewhat weak in terms of appearance .

Apr 9, 2022Music doesn't fit. Performance is terrible. Graphics look bad. Gyro aiming doesn't work.
Average at best. -
Apr 10, 2022The graphic is ok, but the controls are awful. So it was a shame to release.

Jan 27, 2023The controls are quite bad, and the game runs very slow. Not worth it supporting such a watered down version of the game.
-
Apr 15, 2022Incredibly short, lacking content, shameful copy paste of enemy models.
Not sure how or why they decided to remake it so shoddily with Unity. Might as well have made it with Blender at that point.

Aug 8, 2022The House of the Dead: Remake is a contemporary update of the first game in The House of the Dead series and this remake does a decent job with most elements, giving us a good looking world, competent controls and a very welcome and challenging new game mode. At this level, this remake successfully brings the experience to our day and age. Its performance is affected in the most intense moments, though, especially in multiplayer mode and its long loading times may be off-putting for less patient players.
-
Jun 17, 2022A nostalgic trip down memory lane marred with aiming issues and a very short play time.
-
May 10, 2022The House of the Dead remake is characterized by a faithful embodiment of the elements of the original. However, it does not reproduce the sophisticated manipulation and immersion, which are characteristics of the gun shooting genre, so it stays in the remake as a rip-off of the original, not a remake beyond the original.
