The Naheulbeuk universe is an original creation by French author John Lang. It started as a very popular audio comedy series parodying role-playing games and heroic fantasy tropes. Now the story is available in English and as a video game for the first time!

I can't say that I'd recommend Naheulbeuk. For fans, it's great that this world is being released in English for the first time. But the overall execution is poorly affected due to technical issues. Beyond the bugs, the humor can be way too much, with the characters constantly cracking crude jokes throughout the experience. If you want something a little less polished than South Park, this might be a good fit. Otherwise, wait to see if it gets patched.

In the case of Dungeon, though, even as much as I love some fun and silly humor I’ll say it trends more towards being crass in a predictable (and a bit tired) way than I would have preferred. What serves as a bit of a crippling blow, even if you enjoy the game’s humorous sensibilities, is that at least in its launch state the experience has some quirks and bugs that could use work. The interface feels like it was more at home on a PC, and though everything has been mapped to work with a controller the scheme is more awkward than the norm. If you like the genre and don’t mind the humor it may be worth persevering for and getting used to though, as there’s no doubt it’s a rare bird in the space… so it does have merit in that light.

I made this purchase loving the original series and based on the PC version's Metacritic page (71 critic, 80 users). My my, what a big mistakeI made this purchase loving the original series and based on the PC version's Metacritic page (71 critic, 80 users). My my, what a big mistake I've done...

While the core game is pretty fun, the switch version runs at like 10-15 fps, the loading times between maps is about 4-5 minutes. There was this one fight where the Ranger would simply bug out if I melee attacked on a certain square (Had to restart twice).

I regret not having bought this on PC, wanting to have a physical copy. Such a waste. Perhaps I'll get the Steam version when it's on sale, but should I really be supporting a Dev that put's not effort porting the game over to this switch? Mmmmm.....

Unfortunately, I got it for the Switch, where it crashes during every battle, crashes on the inventory screen, crashes during dialog, crashes during exploration, and is generally unplayable. Until a patch is released to address the bugs, absolutely do not purchase this. Expand

This game clearly wasn't optimized & tested on switch. Dont buy this game !!! wait fixes before.

    Problems encountered :
    - Around every 30min the game crash. (Then you will wait 3min to load the game)
    - Low frame rate
    - Everything is slow, not optimized on switch

    Positive stuff :
    - First DLC is already bundled with the game
    - Fun RPG and tactical combat
    - Activate auto-save every 5mins (to avoid to lost too much after a crash)
