    This game is great. If you own a switch then this is a must have. My only drawback for this game is that while Cappy allows for some really cool movement, the game rarely uses it as a mechanic. Once you know how to do some tricks with Cappy the platforming sections become way easier.

    A Mario masterpiece, tons of options from ridiculously hard to simple, interesting environments and puzzles, fun bosses and groundbreakingly awesome movement.

    Mi primer videojuego de Mario y me divertí mucho jugando, me encanta que cada mundo sea único con puzzles entretenidos y niveles de plataforma perfectos. La jugabilidad combinada con la nueva mecánica de Cappy es perfecta para el juego y espero que siga disponible para futuros juegos de Mario. La opción de poder cambiarle la ropa a Mario es buena, y cagada ver a Mario con diferentes trajes.

    Como un juego 3D de mario, mario odyssey cumple todas las expectativas y las supera con creces con la tematica de la gorra y los diferentes retos que puede mostrar, una gran historia y excelentes graficos. El gameplay es intuitivo tu puedes profundizarlos si te gusta el juego y sentir una mayor satisfacción al moverte. Y en general un gran juego principal de mario para la switch

    One of the best (if not the best) Mario games ever. It's crazy to see how big and popular Mario has become since Super Mario 64. The graphics in the games have improved quite substantially. Super Mario Odyssey has very good areas to explore, too. The developers did a good job on it, for sure.

    A "long time no see" sandbox Mario game. This Mario game has again showed the suprise of Mario: gameplay, music, and the technical aspect, I was blown by the 3D-2D transition in some stage. I was thinking how d they do that??!??

    Anyway a must play game for Switch user

    Juego bastante sólido, contiene muchas horas de entretenimiento pero si debo decir algo malo son los jefes. Tienen el mismo patrón de saltar 3 veces para derrotarlos y es muy repetitivo

    Amazing Gameplay with so much variety. Mario is still heads and shoulders above any other platformer (or atleast the ones i played) GOTY if Zelda didnt exist.

    Very nice overall. Good ideas, Puzzles and pretty visuals. It was fun but not challenging enough sometimes. 8/10 because the game in the end wasnt the best Ive had. Id recommend it.

    My absolute favourite game of all time, Its not perfect, but its so good, all the kingdoms feel so uniqe from each other, even the smaller ones are good, the graphics look really solid, mario controls amazingly and the camera is great, it feels like a return to the style of 3d mario from 64 and Sunshine, cappy is a great addition making the games controls 10 times better than they alreadyMy absolute favourite game of all time, Its not perfect, but its so good, all the kingdoms feel so uniqe from each other, even the smaller ones are good, the graphics look really solid, mario controls amazingly and the camera is great, it feels like a return to the style of 3d mario from 64 and Sunshine, cappy is a great addition making the games controls 10 times better than they already are, the soundtrack is phenomenal and all the costumes are so cool.

    There are way too many moons, sure it helps with the exploration, but it just doesnt feel as special as something like the shines from sunshine, the shiveria kingdom is just underwhelming compared to the other ones and the story could have bent better, and the broodal boss fights are just too easy, and appear way too much.    … Expand

    I really enjoyed the variety of the game, the smooth mechanics and also the music. There is so much to do, and so many different levels. It was just fun from beginning to end.

    I despise Mario games. I only played this because, and I am being absolutely serious here, the city area is the closest thing to GTA available on the switch. However, despite my hate for all things Mario, this game did surprise me, with beautiful areas, and a bit of engaging gameplay. Personally it was a slog most of the time, so many collectables, and so much challenging platforming. ButI despise Mario games.     Mario odyssey is a fun game which uses creative mechanic of Cappy. It’s really enjoyable as you collect moons to get on to the next stage, but this game is too short and it’s boring, hard and frustrating to collect all 999 moons.

    A very good reinvention of Super Mario. I hope there will be more of this. Difficulty is on a high level at some points though, and it annoys me that you not all Moons can be found from the start. Some will only appear after clearing the game og the world.

    This game is REALLY awesome. I don't see how people could give this absolute masterpiece a 0! Also, the soundtrack hits! I also really enjoyed the final boss! I currently have 722 power moons and I loved every bit of finding them!

    If you hate this game you are not human this game is really really fun with a stellar soundtrack and a charming (not original) story with so much content making this my second most played game ever and my favourite and by far the best game of all time and now I have a cappy hat irl from target 20 bucks 10 out of 10

    A masterpiece. Nintendo is just way too good to make platform games. The control of Mario and Cappy is so fluent and fun to play that I just couldn't stop myself from opening Odyssey and playing it. Nintendo is always good at making good music, and it just nailed every single one in Odyssey. The graphic is actually pretty good, and each level contains so many interesting challenges, moons,A masterpiece. Nintendo is just way too good to make platform games. The control of Mario and Cappy is so fluent and fun to play that I just couldn't stop myself from opening Odyssey and playing it. Nintendo is always good at making good music, and it just nailed every single one in Odyssey. The graphic is actually pretty good, and each level contains so many interesting challenges, moons, and collectives that give you freshness and happiness. If you get bored in this place, just take Odyssey and go to the next kingdom and you will see a new atmosphere and environment for you to discover. After you collect enough moons, you will unlock the challenging part of this game, which is perfect for people that are willing to challenge themselves. Luigi's ballon challenge is also very challenging depending on the ballon you choose. It can be enjoyed by beginners with easy mode, and it can be challenging as well. The level design, Jesus, is on a whole other level compared to others. And the game hit its climax at New donk Kingdom, and I just couldn't describe my emotion when "jump up, superstar " starts playing. 10 out of 10 for sure. If you have a Nintendo switch and you don't have this game, I would give you a thumbs down for sure haha.… Expand

    The levels are all so vibrant. The songs are amazing. The post game is really fin. I love the different outfits and the ending is great

    I don't understand how the metascore for this game got 97%. I'm going to give it 86%. Sure, its a Mario game, but i its not THAT good. It's still a great game to play, don't get me wrong, but they're really are some problems with it. It's pretty cool for Mario to posses enemies by using Cappy.     Best 3D mario game to date, very fun and fluid movement that makes me pee my pants. My only criticism is that after beating the main story, the game gets quickly stale, and hunting for moons is a chore, and makes me aggressively poo my pants.

    ALSO THE PLANDEMIC AND THE MASKS LIKELY SUCKED OUT THE GAME DEVELOPERS BRAINS!

    This game was AMAZING to play, truly one of Nintendo's best switch games. I think what there is great, with amazing graphics (for a switch game), really fun world design, great bosses, fun gimmicks, and just an all-around great time. My only issue is I don't think it has as much replicability once you beat the final bosses and darker side. With other games like Mario Maker 2 or Mario kartThis game was AMAZING to play, truly one of Nintendo's best switch games. I think what there is great, with amazing graphics (for a switch game), really fun world design, great bosses, fun gimmicks, and just an all-around great time. My only issue is I don't think it has as much replicability once you beat the final bosses and darker side.     Ah, the wonderful expedition! Seriously though, this game is amazing, the landscapes, the residents, the ending is all amzing! Pick up this game if you haven't! Hell, pick up a switch just for this game! There's a reason it won navgtrs's goty! The nitpick i have about this game is how expensive some of the costumes are, but its just a cosmetic. I don't need it!

    Visuals are beautiful, soundtrack is elegant, and worlds are expertly designed. Nintendo has made it their life's goal to make sure every player get their own experience in discovering the game.     Super marion odyssey es un juego solido de plataformas de mario, con una gran jugabilidad, capy es de las cosas mas originales y interesantes que creo la franquicia y es aprobechada al 100%. Cada parte del juego esta llena de personalidad y es como sentirte como un niño pequeño explorar cada parte del mapa pero... Si hay demasiadas lunas, muchas y la verdadera dificultad viene en eln post-game

    Absolutely amazing! Each kingdom feels different from each other. I like how this game encourages exploration to find all of the moons in the kingdom. Cappy is great and the capture mechanic works flawlessly. Its amazing how many great ideas they were able to come up with in the game. This is probably the second best Mario game in general. Incredible!!

    A fantastic game, one of my favorites.
    It has nice graphics and a very good and detailed overworld. The Boss fights are very nice(my Favorite one is the Dragon)
    The Final Bowser fight is a Little Bit lame for the Final Boss. Overall a masterpiece

    I find this as a game that is filled with seemingly endless fun with so many cool characters and the customizability is something I always desire in a game the story of the game is something to be admired and the familiarity with this sort of game makes it part of the fun and some may think it Is easy i believe it had the perfect balance between fun and challenge.

    Arguably one of the best Mario games to date with the unique concepts introduced, Mario Odyssey stands far apart from other 3D Mario games. Hours of exciting gameplay, a large collectable challenge and a fitting soundtrack all work together to create a stunning experience on the Switch.

    Best game ever. Literally everything about this game managed to blow me away, down from the captures, to the ending, and even the graphics and soundtrack. Everything here just feels so good and truly made me feel like I was at home. And dare I say that this is way better than even the otherwise incredible Super Mario 64 as well

    The best 3D Mario game, it is graphically very beautiful and the gameplay is innovative and fun, in addition to giving rise to many possibilities, especially the mechanics of the hat. The story does not differ with respect to any game in the saga, but the Super Mario saga does not stand out for that. Game for all audiences, but above all a masterpiece for Mario lovers

In addition, there are still many things to explore even after you saving princess Peach. Every Kingdom is designed with unique characteristics, creatures, and special theme.     Odyssey is one of my favorite Mario games. I love the different worlds, and the cap mechanics are a lot of fun.
    Some areas towards the end can be a bit frustrating, but that's what makes a good Mario game.

    For the first proper open world Mario game, it's good, though it is a bit overrated. The amount of items islands is great and the new ability to be able to throw Cappy and repossess certain enemies is genius. The level design is great. However, there are a few Kingdoms (which is what the islands are called in this game) that needed some extra work. There are a ridiculous amount of moons to find and while that is not a big deal because you don't need them all to finish the story, it can make going for 100% pretty annoying and tedious. The amount of costumes you can get for Mario is cool (Finally, coins are actually useful for once in a mainline Mario game!!!)and the amount of Easter eggs in this game is great as well. Apart from that though, this really is a masterpiece and I still score it a 9.5/10 (because for some stupid reason we can only give whole numbers as scores on Metacritic).… Expand

    The best platformer i ever played. Every kingdom uses whit charm, the game looks gorgeous, and thheres so many movement mechanics, most of them not needed to complete the game, but to make the gameplay much more fun.
    Is the best Mario game in mi opynion.

    Some of the best Mario gaming in existence. The gameplay mechanics are flawless and the world is believable, beautiful, and hilarious. There's something for everyone here. Lots to explore and discover too. The only weakness may be its lackluster story, which is more than made up for with its smooth buttery gameplay.

    - The ultimate Mario 3D Game ?
    - Fun at every moment
    - Memorable environments (New Donk City)

    Cons :
    - The gameplay choice is discutable : you can finish the game quickly, finding only half of the available stars. Doing that, you go without half of the fun of this game
    - Music is often discreete, except in some levels (New Donk City, again)

    This may just be the worst video game ever created as first of all this game looks like my POO POO, Chicken Nuggies. Next this game is very uncreative unlike much better games such as Call of Duty 356 Part 2: Modern Black Opps or FIFA26: The Rise Of Ballers and what does Mario Odyssey have? Hats? Yeah right daddy. Play a real game like Roblox Gigached Gamers.

    It’s been four to five years ever since I’ve bought super Mario odyssey, and I can safely say it’s one of my top recommendations for Nintendo switch. Everything about it just screams what Mario should be. I rarely ever had a bad moment playing this game. It somehow fits along the lines and pure blissful fun and some challenges. Although I do have to say, the games a little too easy toIt’s been four to five years ever since I’ve bought super Mario odyssey, and I can safely say it’s one of my top recommendations for Nintendo switch. Everything about it just screams what Mario should be. I rarely ever had a bad moment playing this game. It somehow fits along the lines and pure blissful fun and some challenges. Although I do have to say, the games a little too easy to complete (unless you’ve 100’d it). But I still very much like the new direction of Mario this game seems to have.     While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.

    The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage. Super Mario Odyssey draws inspiration from the superb classic to top it and everything that came after it. [13/2017, p.38]
