Aug 21, 2020Amazing game with incredible visuals, incredibly engaging story, great cast of characters, witty comedy and simply outstanding music. It's not a 10/10 because the combat mechanics, although I really did enjoy them, are not for everyone.

Sep 11, 2020I loved it. It has actually funny dialogue which I haven't seen in a game in a while. It really got some chuckles out of me. The start is a bit more battle based but the further you go the more story there is. I think this is a must play on you switch

Sep 25, 2020I understand that this is a very controversial game, and can kind of understand why, but I actually like the gameplay so far, and the improved battle system. Good plot(s) too.

Dec 5, 2020Excellent musical, graphics, and sense of humor.
A lot of things to do for completing the game at 100%.
Original battle system, but à little bit easy in "random" battles. The direct battles on the files, or bosses, are better.
So bad that people judge their own desires instead of really testing/tasting the Game... -

Dec 21, 2020This game is a 10/10. Better than TTYD. All the neck beards that haven’t showered in “a thousand years” keep saying it’s not a true paper Mario game, well it is. The combat is the best out of all games, and the puzzles are the perfect difficulty. The boss fights, and music is also KILLER. Would recommend 100%!

Jan 31, 2021Very fun game with a unique and inventive story/presentation.
The ring system can be a bit immersion-breaking, but overall a great experience! -

Jun 10, 2021Pretty Fun Game. The writing is pretty good and the battle system is well thought out.

Ninty Fresh MagazineDec 21, 2020The Origami King is a game greater than the sum of its parts. It reaffirms Nintendo’s status as king of innovation, even if the folds don’t quite align. [Issue #2, p.66]

Dec 16, 2020Paper Mario: The Origami King arrives on Nintendo Switch with very high quality graphics, a pleasant soundtrack and a plot full of very good humor, typical of the Paper Mario series. Among countless places to visit, bosses to win, and puzzles to solve, the game can be considered one of the best in the franchise.

Oct 29, 2020Paper Mario deserves better. The prestige of a Final Fantasy veteran appropriating his magic onto a handicraft world deserves better. The unforgettable wit and lovable cast expanding Mario lore deserves better. And we know that Intelligent Systems can do better than committing themselves to a misguided identity crisis.
