Конкурирую с в жанре шутеров, она проигрывает практически всем игра вышедшим за последние 20 лет. Гейм дизайн двигался, и не малыми шагами, скажу я Вам. Игра имеет проблемы и очень серьезны:
    - истории нет от слова совсем;
    - главный герой просто 0, никто и нигде (немая Самус молчит всю дорогу, абсолютно не повествуя игру);
    - возрождение противников на пройденных локах, а возвращаться нужно и это бесит
    - бектрекинг тебя постоянно долбят, вернись обратно, и не раз;
    - шутерная механика, просто никакая, игрна не создавалась изначально мастерами шутерного дела, а студией казуальщиков которым от силы 2д или карточные мобильные помойки варить
    - баланс оставили прежним, затянутые и однотипные локации в которых приходится по долгу убивать однотипных врагов
    - ценник, просить те же деньги за игру 20-ти летней давности, просто свинство.

    Remastered graphics and controls are great. The game is meh with the wandering aimlessly and needing to back track constantly with long slogs, especially to go save. FPS platforming is an awful experience. Nostalgia feels like essential driver for its high ratings. There is a reason the prime series was dead.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Metroid Prime Remastered is perhaps my least favourite game out of the trilogy, and I realized that while playing the remaster. It's still a fantastic game imo, but it's just not as enjoyable to me as the other two. Here are a few reasons why:

    The early game of Metroid Prime is fantastic. Up until you find the wave beam I think the game is a blast. Starting there however, it strats to dip in quality a little bit. Changing between beams is not intuitive at all. You have to hold the X button and then use the directional buttons. Not only is that bad, but it also takes a little bit too long to switch beams, I wish it were more snappy. But right afterwards comes the, imo, worst section of the game - the Phendrana Labs. I really don't like this section, both because it's extremely repetitive, with several identical rooms, but also because it's the first and mostly only location in the game that forces you to use the thermal visor for long periods of time. The thermal visor makes me feel sick tbh. I just don't iike to use it. Every time I taverse this section I just want it to end as soon as possible.

    Another thing I dislike about this game are the endgame multi-coloured enemies. Starting with the Phazon Mines, you will find troopers and later Metroids that are only vulnerable to a certain beam. This annoys me because, like I mentioned earlier, it's a slog to change beams, but also because some beams are worse than others. Once you get the plasma beam, the final beam in the game, you won't want to use any other beams, because it's the best one. By that point in the game, the power beam especially is really obsolete, and you will feel very powerless when facing these enemies with the power beam. The ice beam is strong, but it's the slowest one in the game and it's also not the best solution, and the wave beam is also lackluster at that point.

    This problem segways into another problem I have with the Metroid series as a whole, with Metroid Prime probably being the game where that is most noticeable - there is no need to fight.
    Enemies don't give you anything other than health drops or missile drops. But you only need health and missiles to fight, so why fight in the first place? If it's fun then it's ok, but when it's not fun it becomes a slog. If there was an experience system or equipment system similar to Castlevania or other metroidvanias, I would find an excuse for combat, but as it is there is none, so I find myself fleeing from most encounters towards the end of the game.

    The final problem I have with the game is that some boss battles are just poorly designed. The hive totem is boring, the Omega Pirate is really annoying if you don't know what you're doing. It regenerates health, blocks your projectiles and turns invisible. On top of that, it spawns those pesky multi-coloured troopers, that I find myself just ignoring during this fight. Ridley is also not the best since he spends way too much time in the air, I feel like I'm facing Rathalos in the first two gens of MH. And the Metroid Prime is similar to the Omega Pirate.

    At the end of the day, even though I complained heavily about this game, I still think it's great. I'm giving it an 8 because most of my complaints are just nitpicks, but the game definitely has some issues that prevent it from becoming a masterpiece.

    Although the game has updated controls and this is for sure the best way to play Metroid Prime, I feel like the game is not perfect, but still really good

    The great thing about true video game showstoppers is that even if they have flaws, they're so amazing you really don't care enough to write about them. I'm so happy to be playing Metroid Prime again, and I'm thrilled to find that it stuns and amazes just as well as it did in 2002. Here's hoping it becomes the Metroid series' viral breakthrough.

All the lazy developers did was re-texture/upscale the game and called it a day. All these outdated mechanics makes me want to snap my Switch in half.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the campaign, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Charging $40 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. I'm shocked greedy Nintendo didn't charge $60 for this remaster. They are the same company that had Diamond and Pearl remake for an outrageous price of $120. Even when Nintendo tries to be generous, they're still greedy and lazy. I don't recommend this game at all, unless you want to support laziness.

The raindrops are falling back when you hold your weapon up and they are falling in front, when you hold your weapon down. The lava is pulsing and when you are come close to it, you can now see a strong heat haze, which was not be in the original. So you can now visually feel the heat in this region,

    Sound is great as it was on original release and manages to create a deep, immersive experience, which fits the environment perfectly.

    The different control options are awesome and the new "modern" twin-stick FPS-Controls works great, however there is one little complain I have. The switch between the beams is a bit annoying and has not the same flow like the original classic control scheme.

    in my opinion the classic control is the perfect way to play it even today, because this game was originally designed with this control scheme in mind. Sure it is different from modern standards, but you can get used to it quickly and this is exactly the reason, the tutorial level at the beginning was designed for.

    However, one advantage of the modern control is, that you have a quicker movement, which makes the situations where you have to backtrack not feeling that much of an issue, than it was before.

    The level design is simply perfect and even the points where you have to backtrack are filled with power ups as a reward, so it never gets annoying.

    In my eyes this game can positively stand out even today, because of its originality. There is no other game like it, even the two sequels are way different compared to Metroid Prime.

    Last but not least is Metroid Prime Remastered a Remaster of an all-time classic as it should be. A Remaster like this should be the standard and not the exception.

    For these reasons it still get a 10 out 10 from my perspective.

It feels like they did a solid job capturing the exploration of Super Metroid in the 3D world. The entire game feels like a puzzle because there is minimal guidance on where to go, similar to Super Metroid. This is ultimately a really great feature of the game because if you pay attention as you are playing, it’s very rewarding solving the puzzles as you go without looking anything up. The atmosphere is a little weak, it’s made up through some pretty uninspired world building done by scanning objects. The soundtrack is ambient which really makes for a passive experience. For some reason I feel like the sound design in Super Metroid was vastly more memorable - that’s not to say this game doesn’t have good music, but they have a lot of ambient filler tracks. I feel like this game misses a lot of the charm of Nintendo games, but it makes up for it in the gameplay. The core enjoyment of the game is really around the exploration and natural feeling of accomplishment of figuring out where to go. The game is an excellent remaster. It looks fantastic on the Switch. Metroid Prime is a really good game on its own merits, and to me it’s like comparing apples and oranges. Yes, both games are puzzle heavy, but that’s pretty much where the similarities stop. An opinion isn’t gonna help someone learn more about the game itself enough to buy it. Think: are people trying to decide between Metroid Prime Remastered and Skyward Sword HD? Probably not. They’re either in the mood for a cartoonish Zelda or for a sci-fi shooter aka apples and oranges. All that’s really happening is a dump on Skyward Sword, and that isn’t going to give Metroid Prime the love it deserves.

    The primary difference in MPR from the original is graphics. It also has improved FPS (because surprise, the Switch is a better console than the Gamecube) which was mostly noticeable going *between* rooms. The control scheme isn’t anything groundbreaking. I get that it’s only $40, but there’s no way that a game that won GOTY in its time won’t cost full price in future releases. It’s a smart marketing strategy to encourage people to get involved with Metroid. Skyward Sword HD had several mechanics changed to remove annoying parts out of the game including the previously mandatory motion controls. It looks much cleaner and it runs at 60 FPS. I would be miserable going back to the original. MPR for the most part runs smoothly, except for one room over by the spider ball boss where it ran SO slowly it was running worse than Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (the game had high graphics, beetles popping out of the ground, and electric bombs dropping in the background. It was the only issue I ran into in my playthrough, so it wasn’t too big of a deal). It took me like two minutes to run ten steps! So no, even though I love the game, it isn’t the “best” remaster ever. It’s simply a really good game remastered. It's fine to dislike Skyward Sword, but it’s a different game. And if SS HD’s really that bad of a game, do you really want it to be compared to games you love like it’s on the same level? That said, I’d take Samus’s scanner over Fi any day of the week.

    Metroid excels (compared to other Nintendo games) at tight controls. It also has a higher difficulty. I remembered it being harder than it is, so don’t feel intimidated from trying the game. Metroid Prime as a game can be covered in three categories: puzzles, platforming, and exploration. It fluidly moves from one area to the next using those three things. Expect to spend around 20 hours on your first playthrough.

Don't get me wrong it's an A+ remaster, despite us paying $20 for the ENTIRE trilogy and $40 for this one title... but not adding ONE teleport per zone, not even from your map or every save, was a mistake. The backtracking itself ruins the game's flow near constantly and asks that you have the patience and free time you once did as a child. Expand

    - No light is emitted on the walls when you shoot with your different beams. I used to use that light in dark places on the GameCube before I had the other visors... This is the one thing I really hope they fix.
    - Might as well mention that you cannot adjust brightness in the options
    - Personally, I don't like the fact that you shoot thrice with the power beam before charging. It feels like a bug
    - The doors are too blue (just kidding I don't care)

    Really looking forward for Prime 4 (since 2017) and a remaster of Prime 2 (even though I heard it would not be made by the same team)!

    As someone who started their journey in the Metroid series with this game, I was absolutely blown away by the quality and attention to detail used in this port. It's honestly a fever dream to even play it, Retro and everyone who had a hand in this did a fantastic job. My only gripe with the game is its lack of providing proper credits for the original development team for Metroid Prime on the GCN.

    Nintendo just made a 9/10 game into a 10. The way the game handled on the GameCube is long gone and now plays like a modern FPS. The graphics have been updated and even though it doesn’t look like a game that would play on your your PS5, it’s one of the best looking games you’ll find on switch. The original story is still intact and now can be enjoyed portability on your Nintendo switch.

    Metroid Prime Remastered is an example of a remaster done great, and leaves little reason to return to the original game outside of speed-running tech or the currently missing Fusion Suit extra. There are two major factors that contribute to the success of this remaster, the controls and the graphical updates.

    The controls have been completely re-hauled with dual stick controls and gyro compatibility both in and out of lock on modes. There are multiple other controls modes as well, one mirroring the classic control scheme, Wii control schemes, and a hybrid between the two. The controls feel very natural, and apart from some fight with my own muscle memory, are a joy to use.

    The graphics have been updated massively as well. This is much closer to a remake than a typical remaster with updated models, geometry, textures and lighting improvements across the whole game. While this changes some visual aspects from the original, it stays incredibly close to the original. The much moodier lighting helps many areas feel closer to their original concept art and I can't say there was a single area I ran into that felt worse than the original game, which in my experience, is a rarity for remasters in general. The graphics and colors especially pop on an OLED screen, and provide great contrast especially in darker areas of Tallon IV.

    The game looks great whether docked or played in handheld mode. The framerate is a solid 60fps with the exception of one momentary dip during a flying pirates death that resulted in a half-second frame drop that I have been unable to reproduce in subsequent playthroughs.

    With very smart upgrades, and respect to the original source material, Metroid Prime Remastered not only stands closer to a remake, but sets the bar for what I believe a remaster should strive to be. I can only hope if Metroid Prime 2 & 3 ever make their way to the Switch, they're treated to a similar level of polish as the first entry. If Prime Remastered is anything to go by, I think the Prime series has a bright future in Retro's skilled hands.

    Metroid Prime Remastered is exactly how you do a remaster. Masterpiece! I'm so nostalgic about Metroid games from this era. Bravo, Nintendo!

    You get to play again a game that back then and still considered a breakthrough in 2002 in the Metroid series departing from the 2D to a 3D world a beautiful achievement. Now that game is remastered for old and for the new players that has never played the Prime Trilogy. Highly recommended for those Switch players that couldn't get their hands on Callisto Protocol and Dead Space.

    A timeless classic, perfected with a fresh coat of paint and new control options.

    It's true that there are some annoyances to the original game, at least viewed through the lens of today's gaming (backtracking, scattered save spots). But when the game was already considered to be a masterpiece, it makes complete sense to keep it as is. Being able to enjoy it in handheld mode is a pure

But when the game was already considered to be a masterpiece, it makes complete sense to keep it as is. Being able to enjoy it in handheld mode is a pure joy. The game carries over features from the Wii version such as casual mode, and motion controls (but this time optional). The extras and art gallery are also stellar. The graphics are the biggest upgrade though, looking clean and crisp on my 75-inch TV (which can be rare for Switch games), and not dropping a single frame. It is without a doubt the definitive version of the game, and at a reasonable price. This is how you do a remaster.

    This is an excellent remaster that preserves a classic game and makes it highly playable by modern standards. It also confirms that Metroid Prime remains as special a title as ever.

    Game makers: take note. Metroid Prime Remastered is a masterclass in how to modernize a masterpiece. Twenty years after the series made the transition to 3D, this remains a classic that has stood the test of time. The updated visuals prove that with some optimization and visual tricks, the Switch is really capable of delivering great games. In fact, this is one of prettier – if not the prettiest –Switch games to date.

    A classic returns in Metroid Prime Remastered. A complete visual overhaul makes the world of the game look better and more detailed than ever before. A new dual-stick control scheme makes the game approachable and palatable for new players, while veterans can opt for controls that mimic the original. Underneath it all, though, the masterpiece that is Metroid Prime Remains unchanged. Some more quality of life improvements could perhaps have been made, but it is a tiny complaint for a near-perfect remaster.
