    Remastered graphics and controls are great. The game is meh with the wandering aimlessly and needing to back track constantly with long slogs, especially to go save. FPS platforming is an awful experience. Nostalgia feels like essential driver for its high ratings. There is a reason the prime series was dead.

People are straight up lying when they say this game looks good. 90% of the gameplay is backtracking and the rest is fighting bullet sponge enemies with super outdated combat mechanics and solving terrible artificial roadblock puzzles. No immersion.

    I don't understand how this game is getting such great reviews. It might've been good for it's time on Gamecube (I played it) but the combat and level design are super weak compared to games of the modern era (see Metroid Dread). It is not worth $40 IMO.

This game has none of that. The gameplay is extremely outdated. The graphics have this weird mix of old and new graphics, it reminds me of that garbage GTA Trilogy remaster.     There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the campaign, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Charging $40 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. I'm shocked greedy Nintendo didn't charge $60 for this remaster. They are the same company that had Diamond and Pearl remake for an outrageous price of $120. Even when Nintendo tries to be generous, they're still greedy and lazy. I don't recommend this game at all, unless you want to support laziness.    … Expand

    The only thing it really has going for it is beautiful graphics. Being forced to fire 3 shots before a charge shot is a massive annoyance! Not only that, but forced aim-assist makes the entire game a gigantic cake walk. There isn’t really a point in aiming when you can blindly shoot 2-3 feet away from the enemy and still hit them.     The truth is, I expected more from this game, unless it was a remake and not a remaster, which will not have any change in the story and it is the same as we played, only with a retouching of the graphics

    So after I heard so much about Metroid prime I decided that it’s probable beautiful game and I should buy it as soon as posible, you don't expect a different reaction after so many wonderful words and reviews towards the game. Firs thing than I noticed that - it not so interesting as they said and game design is far behind modern games. But at some point it became unbearable to play, you newer know there is checkpoint and if you miss it - ptobobly you will die and lost all your progress. Intricate labyrinths and crowds of enemies in them introduce frustration. You never know where should They say that in the old games there were problems with the fact that you did not know where to go - Metroid Prime takes this problem to the core of the game and takes it to the absolute! 
 If you are looking for an FPS, don't buy metroid prime, as the FPS metroid is absolutely terrible, for example, the developers divided the weapons by colours, you need exactly the yellow weapon to kill the yellow enemy. Even Quake 1 is a better shooter than Metroid Prime
    If you want to play Metroid - better buy Metroid Dread
    It's hard for me to imagine what could attract a modern gamer to this bunch of code    … Expand

Конкурирую с в жанре шутеров, она проигрывает практически всем игра вышедшим за последние 20 лет. Гейм дизайн двигался, и не малыми шагами, скажу я Вам. Игра имеет проблемы и очень серьезны:
    - истории нет от слова совсем;
    - главный герой просто 0, никто и нигде (немая Самус молчит всю дорогу, абсолютно не повествуя игру);
    - возрождение противников на пройденных локах, а возвращаться нужно и это бесит
    - бектрекинг тебя постоянно долбят, вернись обратно, и не раз;
    - шутерная механика, просто никакая, игрна не создавалась изначально мастерами шутерного дела, а студией казуальщиков которым от силы 2д или карточные мобильные помойки варить
    - баланс оставили прежним, затянутые и однотипные локации в которых приходится по долгу убивать однотипных врагов
    - ценник, просить те же деньги за игру 20-ти летней давности, просто свинство.    … Expand

This game is a frustrating mess from the get go, with enemy AI that move like those from the original crash bandicoot to leaf textures that look straight out of “jet force gemini” this game is pitiful. Ever play Titanfall 2, Bioshock, Doom Eternal, Halo even? All much better games than this rewrapped piece of garboWow, Nintendo D-riders have gone too far calling these graphics “superb”. This game is a frustrating mess from the get go, with enemy AI that move like those from the original crash bandicoot to leaf textures that look straight out of “jet force gemini” this game is pitiful. Ever play Titanfall 2, Bioshock, Doom Eternal, Halo even? All much better games than this rewrapped piece of garbo that Nintendo has the nerve to release as a single game for $40. I paid $20 for the Doom 1-4 collection, a way better investment and remaster (Or the $10 I paid for the Bioshock Trilogy.) This game specializes in respawning enemies I’ve already killed 5 times and backtracking which is a horrible combination. Probably beloved by the same audience that thought “The Mario Movie” was a great film. (Yes they are out there.) Nintendo is the new Apple of unquestioned fandom.… Expand

    Metroid Prime Remastered? How about Metroid Prime Disappointment! This so-called 'remaster' is nothing but a lazy cash grab, offering minimal improvements while charging full price. The visuals are outdated, the controls are clunky, and the whole experience feels like a relic from a bygone era. Save your money and play the original instead!

The game has annoying opponents and is tiring. I play not to be nervous, but to relax. The game is hopeless and frustrating 0/10. I don't really understand why reviewers are so inflating nintendo games. Apart fromHopeless very annoying game.     Game makers: take note. Metroid Prime Remastered is a masterclass in how to modernize a masterpiece. Twenty years after the series made the transition to 3D, this remains a classic that has stood the test of time. The updated visuals prove that with some optimization and visual tricks, the Switch is really capable of delivering great games. In fact, this is one of prettier – if not the prettiest –Switch games to date.

    A classic returns in Metroid Prime Remastered. A complete visual overhaul makes the world of the game look better and more detailed than ever before. A new dual-stick control scheme makes the game approachable and palatable for new players, while veterans can opt for controls that mimic the original. Underneath it all, though, the masterpiece that is Metroid Prime Remains unchanged. Some more quality of life improvements could perhaps have been made, but it is a tiny complaint for a near-perfect remaster.
