    El mejor juego en switch de este año. La ambientacion, la musica, la jugabilidad, todo es perfecto en este juego. Recomendado 10/10.

    This game is extremely expensive. The greedy developers are charging $60 for a 2D side-scroller. It doesn't even have the AAA quality to justify the $60 price tag. The graphics are a joke. The physics are beyond horrible. The gameplay is so boring and repetitive. The developers made the game difficult in a pathetic attempt at making the game longer than it has to be. Despite its difficulty, the game still manages to be very short. I beat the campaign in just 8 hours. The developers added hard mode as an unlock, in a laughable attempt at giving this game replay value.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the campaign, there is not a reason to touch this game again. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cashgrab. Imagine charging $60 for an indie-quality 8 hour side-scrolling game with no multiplayer. This outrageous greed makes EA and Ubisoft look like saints in comparison. I don't recommend this game at all, unless you want to support laziness.    … Expand

    My right thumb hasn't felt like this in 20 years. But, after hours of frantic button pressing, it's finally raw again. I missed this. The game is a masterpiece. It's satisfying, engaging, and compelling. Everything I loved in past Metroids is still there. The new stuff works. It makes me feel like I'm a kid back in 1994. Thank you, Nintendo.

    I have to say, I am stunned at the effort MS has put on an original title.
    I seriously hope they keep doing more 2D Metroid titles, especially what they kept at the end. (Play the game to find out!)

    This game redefined how fun a 2D Metroid game can be. The map is enormous, with hundreds of well designed room, with secrets, cool puzzles, and interesting movement optionS. The animation work done on samus is beautiful as well, and the fact that it all runs at 60fps is brilliant.

    i particularly like the very challenging, yet forgiving bosses in the game too. If I was to compare it to another game, I would say its a bit like Dark Souls, in how it appears stupidly hard and unfair at the beginning, yet becomes easy and fun when you memorise and prepare for certain attack patterns.

    And finally the story. The story is just brilliant, and really is a worthy conclusion to the storyline of the metroids and the x parasites. I am excited to see what Metroid 6 will hold with this new entry in the storyline.    … Expand

    I'm a player that enjoys story heavy games, but I had to try Metroid dread. I got the game 2 days early. Finished it just now. Robots chasing you were really good. Loved how good the movement and bosses were. Combate Is really rewarding. Some bosses were tough but felt great when I finally got them. Art Style Is cool. Enjoyed the genre. I honestly didn't know I liked metroidvania games.I'm a player that enjoys story heavy games, but I had to try Metroid dread. I got the game 2 days early. Finished it just now.     The best metroidvania game of all time. This will win game of the year 100%. The environments are stunning, the gameplay is difficult. One of the best video games. Ever.

    Metroid fans have waited 19 years for a sequel to metroid fusion. After waiting so long and believing that dread was not completely scraped, i am glad nintendo decided to let mercurysteam handle the project. The game is exactly what a metroid fan wants to see in a metroid game. Metroid dread was enjoyable from start to finish, everything about dread from gameplay elements to story andMetroid fans have waited 19 years for a sequel to metroid fusion.     A masterpiece indeed. From the first time you olay it until the credit rolls you will be attached to the screen. Definitely my favorite 2D Metroid yet.

    amazing game its great for old and new players while old players will feel reconected with what made the series great new players will be delited, metroid dread is trully an experience its background design its great and all cararcters design are on another level samus looks sick with her new suit, bosses are challenging and puzzle like which makes feel great when you beat them

    If you wanted classic Metroid, you got it and then some. Controls are smooth as silk and the atmosphere is oppressive and...well sorry but it's DREADFUL. The art style is gorgeous. The performance is top notch. It's just hard to ding this game for much. Maybe slightly (ehh I hate to use this word) linear? Only in the beginning though. I dont know what else to say!     Metroid Dread is my favorite game so far, it has exploration elements from Super Metroid, and as you go on it manages to seamlessly morph into metroid fusion getting more tense as you go on. The game is super hard, and that stands out especially since most Nintendo games are pushovers now. I can not recommend it enough!

    Really amazing game. The best Metroidvania of the decade! Emmi encounters are terrifying and bosses are difficult. I 100% recommended buying this game if you are a fan of adventure games, metroidvanianas or the like!

    EL mismo nombre nos lleva en automático a colocare un 10 y llamarlo joya, pero algunos elementos impide que esta sea una joya,
    la dificultad en algunos jefes hacen que algún jugador casual desista de tener un juego entretenido y no encuentre satisfacción y solo se tope con frustración y en el esquema de controles sean confusos y hasta torpes, para un jugador curtido en la saga le    EL mismo nombre nos lleva en automático a colocare un 10 y llamarlo joya, pero algunos elementos impide que esta sea una joya,
    la dificultad en algunos jefes hacen que algún jugador casual desista de tener un juego entretenido y no encuentre satisfacción y solo se tope con frustración y en el esquema de controles sean confusos y hasta torpes, para un jugador curtido en la saga le parecerá justo, SIN EMBARGO no se puede clasificar como que el juego no es para todos cuando Nintendo se autodenomina family friendly
    En el apartado visual es muy buen trabajo de la desarrolladora Mercury steam odiado por sus trabajos anteriores en la serie Castlevania y ahora laureado por el trabajo llevado bajo supervisión del mismo Nintendo, el cual nos trae mecánicas del parry vistas en la saga de LOS y el nuevo apuntado de 360 grados que si bien es buen agregado por la desarrolladora no termina de convencer
    En lo musical no hay un tema memorable que nos lleve a glorificar el juego como se escriben algunas opiniones.
    Es de extrañar las batallas con los enemigos clásicos de la saga sin embrago es pasable enfrentar a nuevos villanos aun que no dejen una huella duradera.
    Los enfrentamientos con los EMMIS son mas que un mero tramite y no brinda la sensación de medio con las que se compara con Nemisis de Resident evil
    Fue gratificante llegar a la pantallas de créditos y es de agradecer que Nintendo nos siga trayendo mas juegos de esta saga, pero como les comparto no es necesario ser tan lastimeros como para colocarlo como una pieza maestra

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Metroid Dread sin duda alguna es una de las maravillas del año de Nintendo realizadas por el estudio español Mercury Steam que han creado un juego lleno de valor y vida.

    Jugabilidad: Siendo cortos, Metroid Dread es el mejor Metroide jugable hasta la fecha, el control de Samus es super preciso, con un acción muy dinámica que enriquece muchísimo más el gameplay gracias a una serie de power ups pero esta vez a lo Metroid que iremos recogiendo a lo largo de la aventura los cuales usaremos en mayor o mentor medida , aún así muchos forman un gran equilibrio.

    Sonido: A nivel sonoro la BSO de Dread es bestial, al nivel de las mejores de la saga, provocando una sensacion ambiental en las diversas zonas del planeta ZDR, así como tensión y miedo en las zonas E.M.M.I y epicidad ante los bosses, los cuales ya podemos considerar como de los más difíciles, divertidos y exigentes de toda la saga.

    This is the best 2D Metroid I have every played. If you liked Samus returns you will love this one. Movement is amazing and there is a lot of puzzles to solve that require you to use it.
    E.M.M.I always bring something fun and interesting as they all have a certain gimmick you need to understand and play around.
    But where this game truly shines is the Boss battles god they are fun,    This is the best 2D Metroid I have every played. If you liked Samus returns you will love this one. Movement is amazing and there is a lot of puzzles to solve that require you to use it.

    Metroid Dread is a game of the year contender, no question. With a engaging story, addicting gameplay, and an experience that will really test your skill, Dread is newcomer friendly while also being tough as nails like it's pervious titles like Super Metroid.

    I couldn't rate it higher enough. Metroid Dread is an instant classic and a must buy for any Switch owner. Metroid is back.

    Visuals overall are great, with a wide variety of compelling environments to adventure through. The animations are polished to the max. Whoever the character models can be a bit rough around the edges when they are zoomed in during cutscenes.

    The difficulty level is quite high, especially during boss fights. Yet it is not an unforgiving difficulty. You’ll be instantly spawned back to a near by area. The boss fights are the crown jewel of this game, alongside the stealth sections avoiding the emmi, they are what set apart this entry from its predecessors.    … Expand

    After almost 20 years we finally have a sequel to the 2D series of Metroid games! Considering that, Dread does a great job of combining the new modern combat with the old elements of research and advancement, and it doesn't hurt that we have some of the best boss fights in the series. A true gem and a must have for all Switch gamers.

    Taking up the torch of a series interrupted nineteen years ago is never an easy task, but the MercurySteam studio is doing it with honors! The developers have chosen the path of security while perfectly respecting the spirit of the previous episodes, to the detriment of true modernity.
