Jan 16, 2019I played through the whole game when it launched on August 2017 and it was a brand new and unique experience for me. This is a good crossover that I would have never thought of but it works. I haven't played the game since March 2018 and I am replaying it again and it is still fun. Solid purchase for any switch user.

Apr 27, 2018The union of the world of Mario with that of the Rabbids, hilarious bunnies and at the same time with an "evil" mind, is absolutely brilliant. It offers a fast and intuitive game-play, but at the same time it manages to put the player in difficulty with different strategy and combat techniques. The story is really fun, especially thanks to the Rabbids.

Oct 25, 2019Una maravilla. Excelentisimo juego de estrategia al mas estilo XCOM. Sobresaliente

May 31, 2018A weird crossover that works just fine: fun, quite simple, challenging sometimes. Turn-based tactical games tends to be boring and technical most of the time, here it stays under the right limit of complexity.

Feb 11, 2020This is simply a great game and a must have for the Switch. It feels like a genuine Nintendo title. Very, very polished. Great graphics & gameplay, lovely attention to detail. A real gem!

May 20, 2018Fun and entertaining game both for children and adults, its an excelent new take on the mario/rabbids franchise, good gameplay that can keep you entertained, combat is good, exploring is fun , it even managed to keep the classic humour the rabbids have had since we first saw them and made it make sense in the relation with mario characters.

May 24, 2018Amazing amazing amazing!!! Need I say more? Never in a thousand years would I think a Mario turn-based strategy game would be good. IT IS PHENOMENAL!!!

May 27, 2018This game is amazing and with the new dlc coming up it is definitely worth getting the gold version or the season pass.

Jun 1, 2018Maybe I just don't like X-COM. This game was a bit of fun (the humor), a lot of boring (normal fights), and some frustrating (hard fights). It also didn't feel like they did a very good job of introducing you to all the various game mechanics. I got through the first major area (fought the first major boss). I doubt I'll pick it up again, and I don't think I got my money's worth out of it.

Feb 16, 2021First game Ubisoft has made where the heroes aren't reprehensible scumbags since Ezio Auditore. Very funny and charming, but the lack of camera control when traversing the world is really annoying.

Dec 15, 2019This game shows how ubisoft IS indeed capable of making a good game. There are a few flaws, however.
- You are forced to use Mario. While I don't mind because I think mario is fantastic in this game (others don't like using him) it does hinder the team variety.
- The game gets SOMEWHAT repetitive. Otherwise, a near must-buy for the switch -
Jul 10, 2022I try this game when Nintendo make it available on Nintendo Online for free. I reached the first two levels, and I found pretty fun. As an strategic game is not a difficult game, but it challenging enough to go through

Dec 23, 2018This game is great. The gameplay mechanic is challenging and immersive, it can be quite humerus and it's one of the best Switch games for 2017.

Jan 10, 2019Definitely one of the best strategy games ever created. The whole tone and manner is lighter than other games on the same genre, which is pretty refreshing and fun (I don't know why this genre always brings up serious theme to it), but don't be fooled by all the cuteness as the level design is pretty challenging.

Mar 26, 2019Fantastic turn based tactical shooter that makes perfect use of the Mario license even when saddled with the Rabbids license. Less depth than X-COM, but felt more enjoyable. Beautiful colors, with a big twist on normal tactical shooters.

Aug 23, 2018Overall, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle brings a welcome shot of vitality to the turn-based strategy genre thanks to interesting team mechanics and a colorful Nintendo theme that sets it apart from its contemporaries. Taking one of the biggest IPs in the world and marrying it to an all new type of gameplay was a huge risk that paid off wonderfully, and I’m glad that it finally found its way to my Switch. Now, bring me a sequel with a couple of needed improvements and 100% fewer rabbids, and we’re in business…

Jan 19, 2018Mario + Rabbids is an incredibly welcome surprise. I assumed that a game starring Rabbids would become grating long before completion, but my fears turned out to be unsubstantiated. Beep-0 is a great lead character, and the Rabbids' hijinks are dialed back to a level that works. This is a fun take on a tactical RPG; the simplification of hit percentages worked especially well. The game isn't without fault — greater variety in characters and levels along with more meaningful customization would be welcome — but most of the issues are minor in comparison to how much fun the game is to play. Hopefully Mario + Rabbids marks the beginning of a new series and a sequel will take these ideas further.

CD-ActionNov 16, 2017Ubisoft acquired Nintendo’s license, added some Rabbids in the mix and entrusted the game to its Italian studio that never developed any large game on its own. What’s more, neither the studio nor both IPs had anything to do with tactical games. I still don’t understand how Kingdom Battle turned out so good. [11/2017, p.46]
