To be honest. It was fun at first. The concept of the game is great, the writing is memorable and funny. it had promise. but the more i played it the more i started seeing the flaws.

As you go on in the game they introduce more enemies and the next one is worst then the last. giving them abilities that make it way harder to fight. especially the "peak-a-boos". not just the enemies

not just the enemies getting unfair but the game itself feels like its always against you. the enemy gets way more crit hits then you. if you are under 50% cover they will more likely hit you then you hitting them in the same cover. its like the game wants you to fail which makes what supposed to me a strategy game more of a luck game.

and the biggest thing i hate about the game is the saving. there is no save button. ubisoft ditched manual saving forever ago and it sucks. this game can't depend on auto saves cause it breaks half the time. im recording the game for youtube currently and when we stop recording after a battle i like to go to the castle to get upgrades and hopefully save progress before continuing. but then i return to the world and i have to redo the fight i just did. which sometimes is a fight that took crazy long do to unfairness of the game.

i wish nintendo stepped in a lot more then they did cause ubisoft couldn't make this game as good as nintendo would have and its a shame cause i would have liked it if it wasn't for all these issues. i like the concept. but it all fell apart

Whilst the game can be fun in the beginning, the repetitive gameplay mechanics eventually just get boring and, you guessed it repetitive. While it is great to see another Mario RPG, they need to at least add a little bit more action.

Holy **** the difficulty curve. Why should a mario/rabbids game be an order of magnitude more difficult than the xcom games it’s based on. Boggles the mind.

Im going to score this game with a 4 out of 10 because the game talks about coop, but the coop is really not available unless you beat the game. To access all coop material you have to beat the game, so its pointless to play single player to clear a world, and then go to coop, and rinse and repeat. This seems like a great game, but before you buy it, know its not really two players

Me parece una pésima forma de gastar tu dinero, una autentica grosería, resulta grotesco y desagradable es increíble ver de lo que es capaz una compañía cuando piensa que sus compradores son tontos. lamentable

A reasonably fun arcade strategy game which is ruined by terrible difficulty balancing.

I completed almost all the battles in the first two chapters with perfect. This is despite the poor design decision of not telling you how many turns you have for perfect. Still, this part of the game is fun and I also enjoyed completing the challenges before moving on to the third chapter. This

This is where the difficulty balancing issues destroyed my enjoyment of the game. The difficulty ramps up greatly, which is bad enough. Worse, there is little strategy and a lot of luck in the battles. Enemy units suddenly appear and get a turn before you can react to them. This is incredibly poor game design. I would rate the second half of the game as 0 out of 10 but overall give the game a 5.

The sneaky option to get additional HP at the beginning of a battle feels like cheap cheating, and makes any strategic challenge of the game pointless. If you want to pander to people with low gaming skills, introduce a proper "easy mode" option at the beginning of the game, instead of tempting people to cheat each and every time they find a bit of difficulty.

i absolutely can't stand this game, i played it for like 5 minutes and there are WAY too many unskipable cutscenes, it's just sad to see RPGs these days go so downhill with them being unbearably too many cutscenes.

Gets old VERY VERY fast, unbelievably aggravating at some points and the rewards aren't very "rewarding" whatsoever. By halfway through I was just done with this crap. Oh yes, also it crashed several times for me, not sure if others have had this problem but some battles can be 20+ minutes long and very difficult and for it to crash halfway through is unbelievably frustrating.

This is a good game, it has good graphics, a good storyline and good mechanics. The mechanics are easy to understand after the tutorial. My problem with this game is the price, I, personally bought this game on Nintendo e-shop for slightly more than $14 cad. This is a great price but the normal $80 is NOT worth it. I found this game comes on sale a lot so wait for a better price. InThis is a good game, it has good graphics, a good storyline and good mechanics. it's entertaining at first but the story is stupid, the team customizing is painfully limited and game play gets boring and repetitive and the titular rabbids are annoying and unlikeable.

For some reason I don't like this game mabye it's because of the fact that mario is changing his roots sonic boom did not work but this did what.

Overall, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle brings a welcome shot of vitality to the turn-based strategy genre thanks to interesting team mechanics and a colorful Nintendo theme that sets it apart from its contemporaries. Taking one of the biggest IPs in the world and marrying it to an all new type of gameplay was a huge risk that paid off wonderfully, and I’m glad that it finally found its way to my Switch. Now, bring me a sequel with a couple of needed improvements and 100% fewer rabbids, and we’re in business…

Mario + Rabbids is an incredibly welcome surprise. I assumed that a game starring Rabbids would become grating long before completion, but my fears turned out to be unsubstantiated. Beep-0 is a great lead character, and the Rabbids' hijinks are dialed back to a level that works. This is a fun take on a tactical RPG; the simplification of hit percentages worked especially well. The game isn't without fault — greater variety in characters and levels along with more meaningful customization would be welcome — but most of the issues are minor in comparison to how much fun the game is to play. Hopefully Mario + Rabbids marks the beginning of a new series and a sequel will take these ideas further.

Ubisoft acquired Nintendo’s license, added some Rabbids in the mix and entrusted the game to its Italian studio that never developed any large game on its own. What’s more, neither the studio nor both IPs had anything to do with tactical games. I still don’t understand how Kingdom Battle turned out so good. [11/2017, p.46]
