Oct 10, 2019Dead by Daylight makes the transition to Switch adequately, retaining all the asymmetrical horror goodness it’s known for, albeit looking a little worse for wear. The higher price is off-putting, but the flexibility of handheld play certainly helps.
-
Sep 27, 2019Dead for Daylight for the Switch does the bare minimum you'd expect from a competent Switch port, but performance issues make the asking price hard to swallow.
-
Oct 15, 2019The asymmetric player is really well recreated in this title, which gives us an extraordinary experience of the slasher genre. However, its graphics are not up to this really entertaining and addictive game.

Oct 5, 2019It’s a straightforward and repetitive online affair that, if you're lucky enough to be matched with the right bunch of randoms or happen to be playing a custom match with friends, can deliver the goods in terms of frights and tension from time to time. However, it has also always been a pretty clunky affair, a fact which is amplified further here by the noticeable graphical downgrade, laggy menus and the exclusion of a bunch of DLC that we really feel should have been included for the steep asking price. Still, if you're a fan who wants a portable version to play on the go, this should satisfy your needs as long as you're happy to grind yourself back to where you were at and fork out for your favourite killers. For everyone else, this is the least impressive version of the game available to buy at its highest price.

Eurogamer ItalyOct 7, 2019This porting of Dead by Daylight is fun and scary as always. Sadly, compared to counterparties isn't the best version out there: the downgrade is too big to be ignored, with framerate drops and some minor glitches.
-
Oct 15, 2019Dead by Daylight is a bit like those horror films from the 80s of the B, C, or maybe Z series: there is no shortage of flaws and they are obvious, yet its undoubted charm and some excellent results have allowed it to break through the heart of many fans, despite everything.

Oct 2, 2019I’m sad to admit it, but Dead by Daylight on Nintendo Switch is a huge let-down. I love the game, and while I was excited to get to play it on a handheld format, its lagginess, framerate issues and massive graphical downgrade mean that I just can’t recommend it on Switch. If you’re still tempted to give it a try, perhaps wait a month or two and see if any patches come out to fix some of the current painful and glaring issues. Until then, the price simply isn’t worth what you get. Stick to playing it on another format; trust me, you’ll have a much better experience.
