    This game is sick AF. The never before seen combat style and animation, the awesome story and side quest, as well as the Legions are amazing! Definitely my GOTY contender along with Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Nintendo is GETTING it this year! Imaging not owning a switch in 2019 lol.

    Excelente game witch fuse mechanics from xenoblade cronicles 2, bayonetta, devil may cry and Nier automata. It's really enjoyable and that cyberpunk touch really gives that essences..

    I. The creativity that the creators had really impress me. Fun game. Unique gameplay. I can tell that I will be playing this for a long time with many revisits in the future. This will definitely hold me over until Bayonetta 3!

    I feel like this may totally be the best Platinum Games creation, didn’t expect it to be as great as Bayonetta but it’s even better. It’s smooth, it mixes investigation with hack n’ slash in a perfect way... LOVE IT

    The game is immensely entertaining, music is wonderful, the art is very good and really gives this game a beautiful look while running very well on Nintendo Switch at the same time. Such a worthy action game.

    Awful, awful. Do not recommend. The combat is not as cool as the trailers made it seem. Characters are boring and uninspired. The controls are hit and miss. Do not buy.

    Story is great but the controls hold it back in so many ways. Never felt like I was truly in control, almost as if i would play and hope that the camera would center since the R stick was used for targeting. Just wasnt as fun as the reviews stated in my opinion.

    Probably my favorite combat from Platinum Games. The story is kinda corny sometimes but everyone is charming and the characters are very good. My favorite game of 2019 so far, and will remain as one of my favorites of all time.

    Stylish action? Check. Stylish soundtrack? Check. Beautiful story? Again another check. Astral Chain hails in at being easily Platinum Studios best game to date. While seemingly dropping their usual humor, (not to say it doesn’t have jokes), and opting for a more story driven experience seemed to be the right move for the new IP. While admittedly, I haven’t finished the game yet,Stylish action? Check. Stylish soundtrack? Check. Beautiful story? Again another check. Astral Chain hails in at being easily Platinum Studios best game to date. While seemingly dropping their usual humor, (not to say it doesn’t have jokes), and opting for a more story driven experience seemed to be the right move for the new IP. While admittedly, I haven’t finished the game yet, it’s given me the drive too. I haven’t felt like this game is a chore, even with the small missions here and there within the story missions themselves. While technically yes, the missions are linear, having those small side missions help to fill the void of a missing over world, it helps create the illusion that the missions themselves aren’t linear, and it definitely helps to create a more living world within the one which Platinum has created. The only real negatives I have had this thus far with Astral Chain is that the voices are not the same speed as the subtitles, which can be a little distracting at some points, but it definitely does not ruin the experience. The story has been well crafted to where it actually builds upon and finish plots, it takes its time getting us used to our characters and gives us the opportunity to learn more about them individually if we so please, and this being a story drive game, that is a huge bonus. A strong point Astral Chain has on its side is that it’s combat feels rewarding. You struggle at first, trying to learn tricky but tight controls, and eventually learn to grow and get better with the character you choose to play as. While learning and progressing, you can physically tell the protagonist becomes more confident in who they are and what they can do by the way the story is presented, which is really cool in my defense. Gaining access to other powers along the way is a nice way to keep battles fresh, it literally lets you decide what move set you’re most comfortable with. On top of different move sets, the game offers you different play styles (easy, medium, or hard), and tons of customization options, from the hud color, to outfits/outfit color, to legion color, different abilities and skills to equip... you can literally have hours of fun experimenting with what the game gives you. Astral Chain is definitely a hidden gem. If you love Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, definitely consider picking this Nintendo Exclusive up. Whether you play it at home, or on the go, its definitely an adventure worth the experience. I can’t wait to get more of this game. If it gets enough love and attention to garner a sequel, then by all means make it an open world, that’s what would make this one perfect. Nintendo’s choice to partner up with Platinum is definitely a choice that keeps on giving.… Expand

    A Masterpiece. Platinum Games give the best experience in this game, with the action and investigation. Is like two games in one. The soundtrack and the visual style are really amazing. My GOTY of the year so far.

    What can be said about this incredible game that hasn't been said already. If you're on the fence about it just take the plunge and get it, I promise you wont regret it. Truly another masterpiece from Platinum and Nintendo

    Unintelligible combat - with the acception of some bosses every combat sequence is too busy with enemies acting independently contrasting each other in a cacophony(sic?) of overlapping overlysimple monotony. And the combat mechanics are completely interchangable removing the development or necessity of any skill.

    Horrible dialogue/ voice acting - The characters have no personality or charisma. The lines are often highly illogical with the overal conclusion of each interaction conflicting characters haphazardly built up individualty betraying a sense of vacancy on the writers part. And the voice acting is equally robotic and contrived highlighted by being programmed disjointedly contributing to an overall sense of such flagrant carelessness it’s offensive.

    Bad visuals - the game has an attractive art style, but the environments are extremely repetitive and bland. The only saving grace here is the boss design

    Conclusion: the developers chose a cash grab at the expensive of the customers value. Why play astral chain? Because there’s nothing better to do. But there is

    *(in my opinion for a game to be bad it needs to be nearly empty or extremely sensually abrasive)    … Expand

    I see many people giving the game a 0 because of the graphics and how it's worse than Bayonetta but in my opinion the game is very pretty. I have seen better graphics but that doesn't discount the look of the game being good. I haven't played Bayonetta but I am loving the gameplay and combos. I'm not very good yet but I'm having fun none the less.

    Hey !! astral chain transports you into an action game out of the ordinary. the artistic team has already proven itself for many years (wingman for example) not to mention the OST! it's beautiful, it's fun, it's thrilling and the scenario is well put together. Still if you like Nintendo !! 2019 is a very good year for you

    This game is so good. It has a ton of unique combat modes with an interesting story that keeps you coming back for more. It's an excellent looking game on the Switch and has enough flair to wow your friends as they pass by your TV.     Due to the hype, I picked up Nier Automata 2 weeks before astral chain came out. I'm playing Astral Chain, and it still beat Nier Automata, which is almost better than devil may cry to me. It's the first game I ever preordered.

    Tiene un carisma súper especial, un ambiente y mundos brutales, una historia genial y de muy buena duración, un combate asombroso que se ve increíble tanto en Dock como en Portatil, sinceramente Platinum nunca deja de superarse a sí misma.

    This game is honestly incredible. The review bombing is really disappointing, because if those people gave half a damn about this game and the people who made it they'd want to support it. Astral Chain is a cinematic masterpiece, the combat flows perfectly and the legion mechanics are really smart and well thought out.

    This game is AMAZINGLY INSANE! I'm really impressed how fluid the gameplay is, although it's a little tricky to get used to the controls. Also the history and the overall scene of the game is very dramatic and catchy.

The gameplay is exquisite, very complex and deep, it is not one of those games where you press only one button to kill everything, here you have to use a lot of skills and different movements. In honesty there shouldn't be anything else to say but I can go the extra mile in telling you why you should stay away from this game, or at the very least dissuade you from paying full price for it.     If you want a good action game buy Bayonetta, Nier Automata or MGR. This game has none depth.

    Llevo unas 15 horas jugadas y por el momento, me encanta el juego por lo que es y no por lo que pudo haber sido. Entiendo a los usuarios que se quejan porque el juego vaya a 30 FPS pero ¿que queréis que os diga? yo me pasé el Bayonetta 1 en PS3 que iba a 20 FPS y es uno de mis juegos favoritos a dia de hoy, para mi ese dato es irrelevante.     For anyone who actually puts in the effort to understand it, the game is as deep as any game in genre. It stands toe to toe with DMC, Bayonetta and all its peers.

    Legions upgrade tree, upgraded weapons and abilities add tons more depth so make sure you don't neglect them.

    Astral Chain is such an amazing game because of how many risks it takes and how original it feels compared to other action games. The combat system is very unique since you can control two characters at once and rather than being combo heavy it is focused primarily on strategy and calculated movement of your legion. There's so many cool characters like Lappy and the Legions themselves haveAstral Chain is such an amazing game because of how many risks it takes and how original it feels compared to other action games. The game took the risk of not being 60 fps so it could have the graphics it's type of art style needs (also it's running on the switch so reaching 60 fps for this type of game is very difficult) Overall it's a very good game and I'm proud Nintendo and Platinum are making new IPs with so much personality and innovation and I hope this series is supported for a long time.… Expand

Para quienes gustan de juegos de acción, es el toque de frescura que le faltaba a estos juegos, y para aquellos que se introduzcan en el género con este, la evolución que posee mientras vas avanzando es de lo más agradable, siendo muy amigable con los nuevos jugadores. Conforme avanzas y consigues nuevas técnicas el juego se hace muchísimo más divertido, y su sistema deEs un juegazo. Para quienes gustan de juegos de acción, es el toque de frescura que le faltaba a estos juegos, y para aquellos que se introduzcan en el género con este, la evolución que posee mientras vas avanzando es de lo más agradable, siendo muy amigable con los nuevos jugadores.     Es un gran juego tanto para viejos como nuevos jugadores del hack and slash, y una compra obligada para usuarios de Nintendo Switch no excesivamente casuales. Platinum lo hizo otra vez.
    La mayoría de las críticas negativas son de ardidos de Sony, quienes solo estan algo celosos por el exclusivo y lo vienen diciendo de hace un tiempo, pero son bienvenidos a probarlo si consiguen una Switch.    … Expand

    Que jogo maravilhoso!
    Switch e seu incrível catálogo recebeu mais um jogo fantástico.
    Joguei algumas horas dele e é incrível... A cidade é incrível, as lutas contra os chefes exigem uma boa coordenação e estratégia., e a história também é muito boa, está se desenrolando aos fatos.
    Recomendo que joguem!

    Como casi todos los juegos de esta genial desarrolladora que es Platinum Games podemos esperar si o si 2 cosas gameplay perfecto y banda sonora de calidad superior, cabe aclarar que este tipo de juegos requiere cierto nivel de habilidad al jugar por lo que si no haces click con el gameplay se vuelve repetitivo y no conseguirás buenas notas en las misiones sin combos, claro que pocos van aComo casi todos los juegos de esta genial desarrolladora que es Platinum Games podemos esperar si o si 2 cosas gameplay perfecto y banda sonora de calidad superior, cabe aclarar que este tipo de juegos requiere cierto nivel de habilidad al jugar por lo que si no haces click con el gameplay se vuelve repetitivo y no conseguirás buenas notas en las misiones sin combos, claro que pocos van a admitir que son malos jugando y preferirán decir que el juego es aburrido.

    técnicamente se ve y siente muy bien solo corre a 30fps pero Platinum se las arregló para que las animaciones tengan movimientos al estilo comic, es decir hacen desenfoques en algunos movimientos para darles un efecto de velocidad y al mismo tiempo hacer que los 30fps compensen con animaciones pensadas para disimularlos.

    la historia es buena pero talvez no tan buena como pudo llegar a ser ya que no apuntaban a un juego clasificacion M sino T.

    Una vez Platinum Games nos entrega un juego que va a marcar estándares de calidad en el género pese a las limitaciones que supone trabajar en Switch crearon otra obra maestra.    … Expand
