    This game is very good.
    But I don't know why user ratings are being attacked.
    Perhaps the Forest of Animals will win the Game of the Year in 2020.
    It's amazing how you can create a game where you can heal with these cute and cute animals when it's not a violent and stimulating game.

    This was my escape for the first few weeks of lockdown. Fun and relaxing, I only stopped playing after visiting friends' islands and seeing how much time they put into them and realising there was no way I was going to do the same.

    Es una combinación de relajación y diversión. Hay tanto por hacer que el proceso de mejorar tu isla y decorarla a tu gusto se vuelve adictivo. Deberían de quitar la opción de una isla por consola, es estúpido.

    Propongo una lista de juegos que pueden curar los malos días, la tristeza, la depresión y el estrés, Animal Crossing: New Horizons formaría parte de ella.

    Really enjoyed it. Has some pacing issues and if you don't want to timeskip you run out of stuff to do pretty quickly. If you're an old fan of the series, you're gonna love this one. If you're new to town, get ready for some minor but strange mistakes.

    It is a really fun game that I can share with all kinds of gamers. The game aesthetic is charming and customization is incredible. The plot is non existence and the game can grow rote.

    It’s a great game, but it’s not GOTY contender. I was done with it in about a week, which is a compliment, I sunk a lot of hours into building up my island. The problem with this game is that after I beat it, I had no urge to go back. I had no thoughts about it, no anything. For me, to be a GOTY contender, a game has to leave a lasting impression on you, this game was fun the moment butIt’s a great game, but it’s not GOTY contender. Sin embargo, no me quejo tanto de que vengan de vez en cuando estos personajes, sino de que resulta realmente difícil que venga Ladino.

    Como detalle neutral diré lo siguiente: El sistema de edición física de la isla es increíble, pero se hecha en falta poder hacer puentes sobre terrenos y no sólo sobre ríos, o el poder hacer túneles, al cavar una sección de tierra bajo otra, etc.    … Expand

The online multiplayer mode is as good as its predecessor games, the only thing that it does not preserve is the possibility of meeting unknown people, which was very good if you had no friends.     Following your first steps off the plane you’re hit with an awesome sense of adventure. One that continues day after day, there’s plenty to do, see and customise. It’s exactly what people need right now. However a frustrating crafting, inventory and online system is all that stands in the way of New Horizons and a 10.

    Great game for passing time, the multiplayer mechanics are pretty bad, but unless you're sharing your switch it's pretty much whatever, the events make for a great way to look forward to the date. The updates give more content in a paced manner that helps the game not feel overwhelming.

    Probably the most relaxing game I've ever played and was the biggest comfort I've had during quarantine. For the first three months, I literally could not put it down. I love the amount of customization avaliable and how you and your friends' islands and residents will always be wholely unique.

I only log in once in a while to fill out my catalogue, say hello to my favorite neighbors, or the occasional new idea project that arises. I do really admire how Nintendo puts out monthly updates to keep you interested, though I haven't really found any of them to be super substantial besides the swimming update. I would've liked more quality-of-life improvements to make crafting and decorating more seamless, or even some multiplayer additions. It's always fun to visit my friends' islands and vice versa, though visiting is really the only extent as you can't build or play games together. My time with the game now is more pleasant than it is life-drainingly engaging. But it's hardly something I can really fault the game for, because I put over 170 hours into it! Most games I can't even break 30 hours before I'm tired of it.

    I know I'll never be done with it, even if I don't play it as much now. And I know, I'll be eating up any new Animal Crossing games should they ever make another. For now, I'll keep holding out for a multiple islands update or some multiplayer minigames.    … Expand

    Animal Crossing New Horizons still has the charm of the old games. So many things that the developers have kept the same - with some minor changes.
    I was really excited when the game came out and I played it for about one month straight. I know that this AC is mainly targeting new players, but all in all many things just are a little bit too easy.

    I've filled the fossils in the museum after around 60 days of playing. When I think of Wild World and New Leaf, this felt way too quick. Also to pay your house and all other expenses to Tom Nook was really easy.
    What I really like is the new interaction of the villagers, how they are not just simply walking around anymore, but do different kind of actions, they react to the environment and with each other. This is incredibly cute and makes them feel much more lively.
    Even though the developers announce new updates and tried to slow the progress of the game down with the different waiting times for e.x. the museum, the excitement for this game burnt down rather quick.
    Additionally, I am really bummed about the furniture. There is so much less than in New Leaf and so many sets were thrown out... resulting in always getting the same kind of furniture in Balloons, Trees, the Nook Cranny and so on. And this is kinda frustrating.
    I personally think they did this so you visit other islands more often, but for me Animal Crossing is a game to relax and often I just want to play for myself.
    Still, I am playing Animal Crossing almost daily, as I am excited for the visitors and now with the Summer Update, I love swimming around and collecting more sea life. But I am not playing as much anymore as I was used to. Often I just do the dailys like collecting miles or the DIY recipe (which never results in a new DIY) and that's it.

    BTW: Everyone who hates on "there is just one island" has never played an Animal Crossing before - and it shows. They always just had one city for one game. That this wouldn't be different on the Switch was obvious. Just inform yourself correctly and don't blame the game for it.    … Expand

    Animal Crossing vuelve y mejor que nunca, puliendo todo los apartados de sus títulos anteriores y ofreciendo una grata experiencia en lo jugable, que facilmente te pude dar cientos de horas de diversión gestionando tu isla y personalizando cada centímetro de la misma, con herramientas únicas e innovadoras en la saga.

    Me and my wife spent ~140h on this game, and we like to share the same island so show/visit each other houses, give items, etc..

    I think this game really lacks coop/multiplayer. So many times I wanted to play with someone and we end up facing each other doing emotes/reactions but chatting on discord/whatsapp.

    Since the game managed to get me hooked for a couple months and made me talk about it with friends and wife, I think it deserves an 8.    … Expand

    I think it's a very fun game. Lots to do and customize all the time. Granted it seems to get kind of dull to be sometimes and at some points I just get on, sell fruit and get off. But it's still such a lovely colorful game and the characters are full of fun things to say. It's a very nice game.

    Im so sad about this game, it has Not enough here to entice me to come back to it so often like the old games. If your gonna make a game so bland at least have good characters! These characters are boring with nothing good to do but walk around. In older games they acted like people. They could invite you over, have parties, actually be rude, and even give you tasks. If Nintendo could make 1 change, I'd request for villagers to have multi level homes that you could customize. The only real problem I see with this game is that you can only have one island per console which is stupid. It's one of the best switch games I've ever played you can play hundreds of hours collecting fish and insects upgrading your Ireland playing with your friends unlocking new stuff it's addicting I never played Animal Crossing game before but I ride keeps on raining low while I got to seen cuz you only have one Island to f****** cares well I haven't played any other games but still it's still great game even if you get one Island if you have a problem with it being a real time based game you can just fast forward it with your system settings on your Nintendo switch they're going to keep on updating game and I saying Go the f*** Ford cuz you it's one of the best game I've ever played if grammar bad it's because I'm using the microphone and not typing and you can just play co-op which is you're going to have to get used to but the controls are very different and having one Island to be a problem if you have Nintendo switch online which is $19.99 a year so but no **** but still play this game I'd recommend Halle Berry dating Larry very addicting no wonder its of the tendo switches best sellers… Expand

    Don't get me wrong this is amazing, but that's only if no one else is playing ANCH on your Nintendo Switch. The devs put in a feature into the game where if more than one user is playing the game on the same console then you can't do story mode and for that single feature I give this game a zero and don't recommend unless you have more than one console for each person playing Animal Crossing

    Beautiful game in which one can enjoy for hours whether playing alone or with friends, enjoying the environment the changes of weather and creatures that one can find and capture in addition to being able to decorate our island as we like, simply a beautiful and quiet game to pass the time.

    Énorme pépite !!! C'est la première fois que je joue à un jeu de cette licence et j'ai été tout de suite ébloui par le concept de ce jeu, c'est vraiment fou le nombre d'heures qu'on peut passer sur ce jeu c'est vraiment infinie, j'ai franchement hâte de voir ce que Nintendo va nous proposer pour la prochaine mise à jour. Vraiment génial, un indispensable à faire sur Switch

My husband plays periodically for 20-minute stretches, while I log hours swimming around and catching the same few bugs. You can't even help or access the same recipes. My husband decides where things go, builds shops and bridges and houses, and I get the immense pleasure of....dropping offAbsolutely unreal that a $60 game on a $300 system can only accommodate ONE player as the primary. My husband plays periodically for 20-minute stretches, while I log hours swimming around and catching the same few bugs. You can't even help or access the same recipes. While the game is being bombarded with 0 star reviews for the one island per console, which is stupid I agree, but apparently they had something similar in New Leaf, and that doesn't get bombarded. I play it every day, and I've grown so attached. I love decorating the island, hanging out with my villagers, and just soaking in the atmosphere. I've played for 250 hours and I'm still not in any way bored with it, and don't see myself stopping any time soon, as I haven't nearly done all there is to do. I haven't gotten a 5 star island and I haven't completed the museum. Routine is cool and all, but every day feels like a new adventure to me, not to mention the upcoming updates, which I'm really excited for.     Me encanta , es refrescante y muy tranquilizador.Es un juego relajante y divertido , ademas los vecinos me hace sentir acompañado. Me gustaria que tuviera mejor trato con el multijugador como minijuegos y mas actividades en grupo.

    My GF started the game first so its 0/10 for me and 9/10 for her. Its realy frustrating to could not play the full game bcs we have only one console for two people. I'm so pissed. This is the game only for people living lonely. Dont buy this game if u have family or partner

    Playing local co-op with my daughter had her screaming with excitement. Sadly the experience is awful and not worth doing. The leader plays while the visitor has to stay close (no split screen) and can't do much beside pick up things while following the leader :(

    Builds on the previous games in new and inventive ways. Multiplayer is still a slog, however I feel that is more indicative of the platform ( Nintendo ) then the game. I love it!

    Es un juego realmente adictivo, y es realmente entretenido buscar a tus vecinos favoritos y diseñar tu isla, pero comprendo las quejas de una isla por sistema y eso me parece una táctica codiciosa por parte de nintendo, pero también hay que tener en cuenta el resto de aspectos del juego antes de criticar

    Stopped playing this game months ago after amassing 100's of hours and just getting bored.
    Decided to start it up again today, to make a new island, to see whats new......couldnt bring myself to have to "delete" my old island.

    Very fun and addictive, also very fun to play with friends and family. The thing that makes the game so great is how you can finally customize and that is great to express yourself in ways you couldn't in other past games, plus the graphics are great.

    This game got my family through the scary, bleak Covid lockdown and wildfires this year, and brought us all closer together. It’s part of our daily routine now, and a little bright spot on even the darkest days.

    I hate to love it.

    The good:
    - the Animal Crossing gameplay loop remains as addictive as ever
    - can now fully customise your island
    - crafting feels like a very natural addition
    - great presentation

    The bad:
    - some major quality of life updates are still needed
    - annoying one island per system rule

    There is a feature in the game called "Primary Player." This player is the only one who is able to make progress in the game. There is no way to make another island for other players. There is no way to transfer power outside deleting the island and restarting.     Let's talk about dysfunctional relationships. They are often caused by unilateral decisions and lack of communication.

    The decision to have a primary player is a unilateral decision by the developers despite complaints. It leads to unilateral decisions by the primary player placing their wants and needs over the "secondary" players.

    There is no warning for this. There is no documentation of this. The only way you find are are reviews and comments online. In other words, no communication. Not only that, but it creates a communication inequality within the family. The "lead" player makes the decisions. They can listen to other players, but they don't need to. The other players can suggest ideas, but there's no way to delegate or enable other players.

    The game both practices and fosters dysfunctional relationships. Both between designer and player as well as within the family.

    I gave it a zero because my family cannot play the game. I bought it for my family. It is worth zero to me. If they fix it, or you play it solo, I'd probably give it an 8-10 dependent on later content that I was unable to reach due to the Primary Player bug.    … Expand

    Animal Crossing New Horizons is basically perfect. Full of wholesome content that helped us cope with the COVID-19 pandemics, the game keeps the heart of its predecessors while innovating enough to make it unique. It may not have won Game of the Year but it'll be the game we all remember from 2020, for sure.
