A highly entertaining RPG that no PSP-owning fan of the genre should pass up. Your socks won't be blown off, but your role-playing desires will be satiated. Isn't that more important?
  2. Had the translation and control problems been adjusted, Heroes could have been an exceptional experience. As it stands, this game will probably only fill the void for serious role-playing fanatics.

Both on the field and in towns, LoH is big on events...and character development. [Jan 2006, p.51]
  4. If you are looking for a Final Fantasy style RPG then you will be disappointed... It more than satisfied my craving for a good game with a great story.

Only a mediocre affair, which is a crying shame. I point the finger at Bandai for apparently hiring some high-school kids to translate the game.

Great game. The end is amazing! 10

The first in the Gagharv Trilogy, The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion takes place in the fictional land El Phildin, fifty-six years before "Moonlight Witch".
The story begins with an insight to the past. Avin and Eimelle are orphaned children living in Cathedral. Avin was 8 while Eimelle was 7. Cathedral is under attack and brothers during the escape parted.
8 years pass. And now the hero begins a journey in search of her missing sister.

It's a great game with great characters, and great dialogues. With a big, exciting finale.

Great at the start but it loses steam later, fun but not for over $25.
