Despite its awesome graphics, this game is just plain boring. The battle just seems too easy, lame magic and too repetitive. Too much unimportant conversation as well which I wish I can just skip and skip. Played it halfway, then I decided to spend my time on other more interesting RPGs.

Simply the only RPG on the PSP... but I am having a blast with it. Nice graphics, interesting story, good characters, easy to use interface. Few spelling errors, but other than that it seems like a great game.

Great at the start but it loses steam later, fun but not for over $25.

A lovely old school Role-playing game with a few quirks here and there. The Graphics are nice, big and bright, although they probably could have used some more actions. The sound is pretty good seeing as it is a psp game and portables have been known for thier brutal sound. Finally, the story is cliche, but enjoyable, I definatly recommend the game to those who love nostalgia and a sense A lovely old school Role-playing game with a few quirks here and there. This is a really nice game, and the graphics are simply beautiful. I love the character pictures that come up with the dialogue, and the transparency of the dialogue boxes. It is incredibly easy on the eyes, and has an interesting plot, even though it is not entirely original. It moves a little slow, especially if you want to start a new game. Perhaps some way to bypass that could have been added. The minor errors in the english language are a tad bit annoying, but as it is from Japan, and Japanese is rather difficult to translate, it can be forgiven. The plot is predictable really, and some of the dialogue is pointless and reads as if the author of the game forced it, which is never good. The books that the characters can "read" are a little stupid, and don't sound like novels at all. (Swordswoman Sapphy or whatever that "book" was called. If you play it you will find out, and if you have played it, you most likely know what it is, if you are one of those gamers that looks at EVERYTHING that a world has to offer.) All in all, it's a throughly addicting game that will make even a non-RPG gamer play it again and again. And maybe several more times after that. Expand

I cry myself to sleep knowing I payed full price for this game. Straight to the point, it could have been so much better but it isn't. I do like the battle system, but the story and how they drag everything out just sucks.

The only true RPG for the PSP is not perfect. It does have crisp, clean graphics. It has an interesting, if slightly trite, storyline and it has a decent if not amazing battle system. But the controling is a bit clunky. There is no way to change your view to look around the 3d environment, which can sometimes become a problem and the translation is far from perfect. There are an exceedingly large number of typos and some sentences just end without finishing. Not a big problem for most types of games but a problem for a rpg. If you are used to playing translated japanese games then you won't be at too much of a dissadvantage but if you are a perfectionist in gaming this will be extreamly annoying. All in all it is a good game that could have used a bit more work on the dialog and controling. Expand

8 years pass. And now the hero begins a journey in search of her missing sister.

It's a great game with great characters, and great dialogues. With a big, exciting finale.

A highly entertaining RPG that no PSP-owning fan of the genre should pass up. Your socks won't be blown off, but your role-playing desires will be satiated. Isn't that more important?

It's very much the baseline definition of a Japanese console RPG -- with all the bad and good that entails.

Slow pacing, tedious backtracking, inane minor quests, problematic controls, and unfulfilling combat combine to make one very non-portable title that has too many problems to ignore, even if this is the only game in town.
