The platforming is sublimely acrobatic as ever while exploration and combat are better than ever. Sadly though the aforementioned flaws linger longest in the memory. Expand

God of War would have been a better port (hopefully). Sound is busted, and there isnt a good storyline. This was my first PoP game played, odd story at the begining had me wondering around with no clue why I could turn back time. Some of the environments are too tricky for the little psp controls, spent more time trying to make difficult run-on-walls to jumps, than fighting enemies. There is some satisfaction in the fighting combos. I really wanted this game to be great, but after 6 hours, I was glad I rented it. Expand

This game is annoying. There is a mini-boss batle VERY early in the game, way before you've learned to be adept at combat. The game is also too dark, even in perfect conditions it's hard to see what's on the screen. Because of this, the game is sometimes impossible to play on the subway and other places where I cannot control the lighting around me. Finally, there are graphic glitches in the game that make thigns disappear. One time my player became stuck and could not move, I had to quit the game and reload to a an earlier position and continue on. All in all, this game just annoys me and that really takes the fun out of it. Expand

  1. Sound bugs and loading times mar an otherwise great translation of Warrior Within to a portable platform.

The gameplay is a little tricky to get used to on the PSP, but once you get adjusted, you'll find yourself getting into the game's beautiful combat quite easily.
  3. Somewhere along the line there was a wholesale misunderstanding of what made Sands of Time good, and the result of the change in approach is a game that manages to be less likable in just about every single way.
