The gameplay is a little tricky to get used to on the PSP, but once you get adjusted, you'll find yourself getting into the game's beautiful combat quite easily.

The game still holds up nicely today, and on a platform lacking quality titles in the platforming-action genre, you really can't do better than this. [Feb 2006, p.84]

The game isn’t perfect, in-fact I would be pushed to avoid calling it a poor version, but the mere fact that I am still addicted to it, and playing it must count for something in this world.

A missed opportunity, but fun for anyone not familiar with "Warrior Within."

Handily working around some technical issues (the scheme is ingenious), the new Prince of Persia Revelations has a lot to offer fans of "Warrior Within." [Feb 2006, p.111]
  6. Wall jumping from a nimble but powerful bad-ass has never been so much fun. But because he has many human qualities of the average person, everyone can believe in the Prince and his cause.
  7. As standalone PSP games go, Revelations is still among the most enjoyable you can buy, but those technical issues don’t do any favours for a game that may already be too confusing and challenging for total newcomers.

I say squashed because this really is a poor conversion of the excellent PS2 game. The random loading is just inconsistent, the sound seems to only work at random intervals while camera control is very limited in certain levels. The constant loading also takes its toll on the battery. Its a shame these flaws undermine the quality of the game. The graphics are fantastic throughout. The platforming is sublimely acrobatic as ever while exploration and combat are better than ever. Sadly though the aforementioned flaws linger longest in the memory. Full Review »
