    The game is a breath of fresh air. Anyone contemplating about playing it because it's a "cat game" should know, this is a must play, not just a cat game. Really enjoyed it.

    I could think of a hundred reasons why I enjoyed playing this game. However, when I try and think of a single flaw or a negative about this game, I simply fail.

    It is a good game and also cute to play the cat, but cats navigate with their noses and smells, but here you can't use the marking personal smell of a cat. And what do i need the light for, cats can see in the dark.

    I want to say: the game is ok, but its not about to play a cat and their spezific kind to realize their surroundings.. Sound is also bad, physics are not there and the robots    It is a good game and also cute to play the cat, but cats navigate with their noses and smells, but here you can't use the marking personal smell of a cat.     Очень классная игра с путешествием кота по миру роботов(и не только). Рекомендую эту игру всем, в особенности тем, кто любит друзей наших меньших. Графика приятна глазам, геймплей достаточно обычный, но за кота это кажется чем-то особенным и интересным, про сюжет говорить мне кажется нечего, но мне понравилосьОчень классная игра с путешествием кота по миру роботов(и не только). Рекомендую эту игру всем, в особенности тем, кто любит друзей наших меньших.     I have played and enjoyed whole game for last week but 5 hours is enough to end main story. In game you won't find any telling dialogues but maybe it is beauty of story. Story is not long but is very interesting. Developers prepared some easy and level medium logic quests but all what players need to do is find another way. Environment is very breathtaking. You can scratch and interact with objects via a dialog prompt and some San Andreas style button mashing but the ability to p*ss all over stuff was notably left out.     This is a very good game to play for a relaxing, well paced story that allows you to put.yourself into the role of a cat - knocking things over, scratching stuff, rubbing against the companion's legs, and more. While short, the story does not have much downtime.     I had an absolute blast with this game. I mean...come on...you're a cat in a cyber punk-esque, maze like city...that's all I really need to say. The puzzle solving was really fun...and not too hard, but not too easy. The story kept my attention the entire time...you actually care about the characters. The game mechanics were a blast...platforming as a cat...hopping around to find secretsI had an absolute blast with this game.     It's more original and creative games like this we need.
    Kudos on Annapurna for supporting small studios like this and giving them the resources to bring their visions out into the world. This is a great game with an amazing premise, breathtaking scenery and atmosphere, and a great story that doesn't overstay its welcome. I hope we get more games like this and Sifu in the years to come.

    This game... o FFS this f... game, I just can't be 100% objective, with a game that has my two favourite things in the world so well connected in such an entertaining way, Cats and Cyberpunk esthetics.
    During the 4 to 5 hours that takes the adventure, you will cat all your way around a cyberpunk underground city, that will show the story of the demise of humanity MASTERPIECE and hopefully GOTY 22

This game wants you to have a chill time. Hell, you can achieve a trophy for just sleeping for a hour! This game wants you to wonder through the city like a stray cat. It's a fun time. When you aren't wondering or doing side content, the story isn't bad itself. No spoiler but by the end I felt emotional and connected to these robots and to the Cat. It's a great game, a stunning world, and a simple yet beautiful story. Stray isn't going to be winning any GOTY awards . BUT, with so many big blockbuster games coming out, the one that will stick with me is the one about a Stray cat.… Expand

    very good game. It's kind of astonishing and refreshing how much story the game manages to tell during this rather short experience. No tedious grind, no boring fetch quests to artificially extend the length of the game. Despite playing as a cat and being limited in what your character can do (and say) the story is very deep and touches upon important issues. The graphics are very solidvery good game.     A very nice game in terms of its graphics. Beautifully well done. And the soundtrack is also magnificent and very original. I loved playing this game and highly recommend it. It's very good even in terms of story and atmosphere, the dialogues are not too long just enough to understand things perfectly. I think it's a game that changes a lot from what we can see in terms of video games today and that's what makes it so charming! Когда я начал проходить игру я оказался в трубе как все вообще, и первое впечатление было что тут можно, мяукать, пить воду, играть с другими кошаками, да и вообще тут графика топ и хорошая. Но первых 10 минут я настраивал графику и проверял фпс, как так я немножко графо-дрочер, ничего личного, просто графика.

    Графика и баги

    Тут у меня есть некоторые пожелания разрабам, вообще я купил игру для того что-бы не было лагов и кастрирования игры, а еще что-бы поддержать разработчиков, компашка то у них маленькая знаете-ли? Ну что-же там про графу, графа на Unreal Engine 4? отпад, просто отпад пипиструна от стояка, но если смотреть на правую кнопку мыши в какие-нибудь каменные или гранитные текстуры, то можно увидеть мыльцо, тоесть шампунь. А так неоновые огни топ, (если хотите посмотреть графику игры Stray просто откройте мой профиль, там на витрине весит скрин, с Paralax, кстати про паралакс, (объемное текстурирование) он там есть и много. Если посмотреть скрины к примеру с видяхи GTX1650 на высоких может показаться что там есть RTX, но там его нет, это я вам на ушко шепнул, никому не говорите! Про баги, они там есть и достаточно много, но это пустяки, но они там есть, к примеру ка нелогичные вещи и т.д, но это реально пустяки, или нет?

    Сюжет

    Сюжет неееемного растянутый но что-уж, ждем разрабов. А если подумать то ну сюжет хороший, особенно решение головоломок, HALF-LIFE за котика как я уже говорил, ну что сказать трогательно, на конечных сценах я одну слезу пустил. Кстати брал игру за 700 рублей. Я богатый.

    Вывод

    Игра своих денег стоит, подтверждаю, 7,7 из 10 по моим оценкам. Спасибо что прочитали руководство, всем пока-пока!    … Expand

    C’est le moment de donner mon avis sur Stray, jeu que j’attend depuis des mois et des mois. Et c’est une pure claque ! Un petit chef d’œuvre qui aura su me tenir du début à la fin de cette aventure.
    L’histoire ? On prend le contrôle d’un petit chat (pas de nom, juste le chat dans le jeu) qui, suite à un accident, se retrouve séparé de sa famille et tombe dans une cité délabrée et    C’est le moment de donner mon avis sur Stray, jeu que j’attend depuis des mois et des mois. Et c’est une pure claque ! Un petit chef d’œuvre qui aura su me tenir du début à la fin de cette aventure.
    L’histoire ? On prend le contrôle d’un petit chat (pas de nom, juste le chat dans le jeu) qui, suite à un accident, se retrouve séparé de sa famille et tombe dans une cité délabrée et inconnue. Mais on se retrouve bien vite confronté à nos premiers problèmes : Les Zurks, des **** parasites dont on apprendra l’origine par la suite, qui prennent en chasse notre adorable héros. On fait par la suite connaissance de B-12, un petit drone ayant perdu la mémoire qui sera notre compagnon de jeu mais surtout un allié précieux pour comprendre et communiquer avec le monde qui nous entoure car, ne l’oublions pas, nous sommes un chat ! Par conséquent, chaque interaction se fera par le biais de ce petit robot avec lequel nous allons collaborer pour atteindre l’extérieur et retrouver notre famille. Et en parlant de robot, nous croisons bien vite la route des habitants de cette ville, des robots, ayant un comportement assez proche des humains, qui pour beaucoup rêvent également de l’extérieur, mais vivent aussi dans la peur constante des Zurks, qui se mettent à tout dévorer sur leur passage. Le décor de cette aventure est posé.
    Déjà graphiquement parlant, ben quelle surprise ! Le jeu est juste beau, les effets de lumière sont somptueux et les animations des personnages sont excellentes. Et que dire de l’animation de notre petit chat qui reproduit à la perfection les mouvements de nos amis félins (et j’ai cru comprendre que ça a été une grosse galère à faire). Je n’attendais rien de la partie graphique, et je ne suis clairement pas déçu. Côté sonore, l’OST est juste somptueuse et appelle à l’exploration constante mais sait aussi rendre les passages touchants quand il le faut.
    Idem côté gameplay. Certains pourraient reprocher l’aspect très dirigiste des mouvements de notre chat : On regarde une zone où grimper, la touche X s’affiche si on peut le faire, on appuie et le chat saute à l’endroit prévu. Alors j’ai bien cru comprendre que certains s’attendaient à de la plateforme pure et dure, mais, clairement vu l’architecture du monde qui s’offre à nous et certains sauts millimétrés qu’un gameplay plateforme aurait nécessité, je pense que ce choix est clairement le plus judicieux pour éviter la frustration. Sinon, on retrouve ici et là des endroits où nous pouvons « faire le chat », à savoir, se faire les griffes, boire, se frotter contre les jambes des robots, dormir et j’en passe. Des petites actions pas très utiles certes, mais qui contribuent à renforcer l’immersion et l’attachement à ce petit personnage.
    Mais que dire du jeu au final ? Et bien l’histoire se laisse suivre sans déplaisir. Nous nous étonnons à nous attacher à ces habitants, à prendre plaisir à les aider, à les écouter, interagir tout simplement avec eux. Le jeu sait nous toucher, que ce soit par un petit pincement au cœur quand on voit notre protagoniste tomber et être séparé de sa famille, par l’amitié entre lui et B-12 ou avec les robots qui se font toutes sans un mot de la part de notre félin, comme si tout le monde le comprenait naturellement, par son comportement héroïque par moment… Bref, ce jeu a su me toucher et même me faire verser une petite larme au dénouement de son aventure. Après, il est court, 6h pour en voir le bout à la première run, mais en soi, Undertale a plus ou moins la même durée de vie (avec une rejouabilité supérieure j’en conviens) mais est-ce que ça l’a empêché d’être un chef d’œuvre ?
    Certains me diront : « Ouais, mais si le héros était pas un chat ça te toucherait pas. C’est mercantile blablabla ». Ben je répondrais : « Ben oui, évidemment que si le héros n’était pas un chat ça ne me toucherait pas, ou alors pas autant ». Mais, autres exemples : « Est-ce que le destin de Zack nous aurait touché si on ne l’avait pas suivi durant toute l’aventure de Crisis Core ? » Ou « Est-ce que la quête de vengeance de Ellie nous aurait autant impliqué si on avait pas vécu à ses côtés avec Joël ? », « Est-ce que j’aurais autant aimé Sans si il n’avait pas été un squelette quasi omniscient accros aux jeux de mots ? ». La finalité, c’est que si un personnage nous touche, c’est justement parce qu’un choix d’en faire ce qu’il est a été fait, et que les développeurs ont su suffisamment bien l’emmener, le développer, le faire vivre pour réussir à nous impacter. Et c’est ce qu’ils ont parfaitement réussi à faire : Créer un personnage simple, dénué de parole, capable de nous émouvoir.
    Franchement merci BlueTwelve Studio d’avoir créé ce jeu, cette aventure qui rentre instantanément parmi mes jeux préférés.    … Expand

    As endearing as the game is, I encountered numerous issues that greatly impacted my experience.
    The earlier chapters of the game were brilliant, but as the story progressed and more was happening on screen, the amount of lag I encountered made some puzzles far more frustrating than necessary. The frame rate regularly dropped (PS5) meaning I was launching myself into enemies rather than    As endearing as the game is, I encountered numerous issues that greatly impacted my experience.

The game outright crashed on me twice during stealth sections, and I often encountered floating clothes rather than entire bodies of npcs that were rendered none-interactable.
    The ending of the game also felt a little lacking after what had been built up leading to this - the story was well presented which is why the ending felt a little flat comparitively, as I had hoped for an epilogue of sorts.
    Ultimately, I've rated this game based on the ideas and what worked well for me - I was still intrigued despite the difficulties I encountered, and had I not suffered with so many issues, would have definitely rated higher and look forward to seeing future projects from this team.    … Expand

    Assolutamente da giocare. Riesce ad immetterti in una città distopica completamente abitata da robot che, pur sembrando super intelligenti e senzienti ed emotivi, con un gatto randagio finito per caso in una vecchia città abbandonata in cui l'umanità è misteriosamente estinta.     Innovative, fun and immersive. A calm escape from reality. It’s amazing how something so simple can be so much fun. It had me meowing 100 times within first 10 mins of the game.

    The best cat Game I ever experienced. It has the most realistic animation of a cat und the graphic looks sweet and a bit realistic. The story is also interesting. My only con is the gameplay but what're gonna do with a cat?! And you can always make cat noises!!!

    For a completionist such as myself, the "Can't Cat-ch Me" trophy ruined the entire experience and made this game go from decent to utter garbage.
    What happens is you're chased by a horde of enemies that jump around all over the place, and to get the trophy you can't be grabbed by one of them even once.     A brief atmospheric adventure in the cyberpunk setting. The game resembled a cat walking simulator.
    I spent two wonderful evenings playing.
    Dualsense is ideal when bundled with Stray.
    The simplicity of the locations and also the finale of the plot, slightly disappointed.
    There are few bugs, thanks to QA.

    Amazing game. It's short but that is not a weak spot, it's a storytelling game with a great world and characters. Simple yet amazing characters, old yet new ideas, and a stunning world with great graphics. I really recommend that game to everyone. I really do hope for more games like this

    “Stray” is an extremely creative take on the classic linear single player games everybody plays. It took me around 7 hours to beat Stray, but that is when you are pushing the content to the max. As in all achievements. The game’s gameplay is very entertaining and the world is very immersive and atmospheric. The puzzles and the missions are so well integrated with the story that everything feels so organic, the mood changes are handled amazingly. It's all great, this game starts like a joke: (Spoilers ahead)
    You, are a cat, and the cat you control actually feels a lot, like a cat.
    And then, you are a cat, in the future. And then there's robots. And then there's Silent Hill, and you are a cat. But you have a friend, and you start to care for that friend, and then you lose him. And then, it ends.
    The end of the game shows you the loss of someone close but from the perspective of a cat, and that is... weird and hard, and obviously sad

What's holding this game back from a 10 is the number of bugs, I had to reset the game many times and even got soft locked on 3 occasions.     Even though I'm a cat person, I wasn't 100% sure what to think about it before the release. I played it and absolutely loved it. The behavior displayed is just so spot on. Refreshing and just wholesome for a change. Definitely Indie game of the year.

    If you are allergic to cats, hate mystery, exploration and a good atmosphere in video games, don’t play Stray. Otherwise, you’ve probably already beaten it. It’s a rare occasion to get a title such as this. And if it looks like something you might enjoy, that’s likely because you most surely would.

    Stray makes the most of its choice of protagonist early on, really allowing you to do all the things a typical cat would do, though it eventually loses sight of that in favour of spotlighting the short story. That’s no cause for hissing, though it does leave the overall experience feeling somewhat like two kittens from different litters forced together. The combination works better than it should, but we’re ultimately left wondering what could’ve resulted if either half of the game had been given enough space to stand alone. [Issue#18, p.70]

    It sounds ridiculous. And maybe it is. But the first ten minutes of Stray broke our heart. We’re a soft-boiled egg when it comes to animals, even when they're completely fictional. A cat who loses his friends and then gets hurt? Enough for an intense feeling of sadness and pity. It is not the challenge, but the experience that is key in this game. You really play Stray for the atmosphere. And that's exactly right.
