    I’ve never written a review for a game in my life, but considering the overwhelming negative reviews this game is getting, I felt compelled to write something positive. I understand people are frustrated that the game has performance issues, but the game itself shouldn’t be getting bad reviews because of that—the game developer should. I played on PS5 and I only had one small hiccup where the game crashed within the first 3-4 hours of the game, and then after that, I never had another issue.

    But then again, I’m sure my opinion is irrelevant since I’m not a hardcore gamer. I don’t spend thousands of dollars on gaming hardware, and I don’t even really know the difference between 30 fps vs. 60 fps. I’m just an average millennial that still gets amazed when I play a game that looks super realistic.

    With that being said, I just finished the game, and…wow. It was AMAZING, in my opinion. The story was great, the acting was great, the gameplay was great, and the visuals were stunning. Throughout like, half of the game (probably more), I kept thinking that even though I liked this game a lot, I preferred Jedi Fallen Order more. However, the ending completely changed my perspective and I still can’t get over how good that ending was.

    If anyone reads this review, I’m sure you’ll think I’m some sort of shill, or EA employee, but I’m really just an average, occasional gamer who thinks this game is getting a lot of unnecessary flak.    … Expand

    The main story gameplay and other stories are all amazing. The problem is the performance. but there will be patches soon, so I would say buy it.

    Le jeu est vraiment excellent malgré les quelques bug à sa sortie, je comprends pas vraiment les notes des joueurs. Le jeu exploite TELLEMENT BIEN le potentiel de son prédécesseur c’est dingue, le scénario est vraiment bon et ça donne envie d’avoir la suite

    Better gameplay, better graphics, better combat, better story. Everything about this game is better than fallen order. Only problem i have with the game are the crashes and map they both suck.
    But aside from that this is the best game of the year so far.

    Really great game. Everyone's exaggerating about the glitches. They're not even that bad on ps5 compared to PC. This game has tones of content and a fantastic story with some of the best combat of any star wars game.

    Brilliant game! Jedi survivor presents the player with Incredibe gameplay and its exhilirating story. Though, it still has some frame hiccups even after the patches.

    The performance mode is awful, 30 frames for Star Wars game should not be, it gives you a headache, writing is problematic.

    This game is the best Star Wars release we've had since KOTOR 1, and that's not an overstatement. Try and think of Jedi Fallen Order as a proof of concept from now on cause Survivor takes everything about that game and improves on it in every single way, turning things up to 11, and on top of that the story has a major twist that i did not see completely coming. Even with the MINOR bugs onThis game is the best Star Wars release we've had since KOTOR 1, and that's not an overstatement.     I enjoyed a lot this game. The story was really well written and the dark sides of Cal are really enjoyable. Great artistic direction and action. Really fun to play. No particular issues with a Ryzen 7 3800 and RTX 4070.

    I've had a lot of fun with the game despite some frame rate issues here and there It doesn't negate the fact that this is a bigger and better game than its predecessor With the story deep and rich enough to keep me captivated and surprised

    Love it so much! In the latest version I haven’t experienced such strong performance issues like other gamers here. When water appears then the picture freezes just slightly But everything else is fluid. Good work!

But I can not give the pacing a 10/10. And Bode is not the best choice for a final boss. Vader or Palpatine would have been better. Vader's boss was the best.… Expand

    I waited for patches and bought it, when it was on sale and really enjoyed it. Don't trust the negative comments, who dislike literally everything about the game, just because it was bugged when it released.
    The graphics are outstanding and I really like the cast. I hoped for some better bosses tho.

    This is a great single player game with great gameplay. I love how it evolved from the first part. The combat evolved a lot and there is a lot of variance how to fight enemies. I finished the first part on Grand Master difficulty. And    A lot of dumb kids bombing the rating without even playing the game.     This is a great single player game with great gameplay. I love how it evolved from the first part. The combat evolved a lot and there is a lot of variance how to fight enemies. I finished the first part on Grand Master difficulty. And now already spend ~15 hours on Jedi survivor also on the hardest difficulty. It brings a lot of joy once you master the parry mechanic and understand how to defeat different enemies (spend 40 minutes on Rancor).
    If you like challenging single player game with great combat - just pick the hardest difficulty and the game will bring you a lot of fun.
    The only negative part is performance, it's not terrible, it's ok. I play on Xbox series X on 4K TV, I have some noticable fps drops time to time, but that is 4k and the console is already 3 years after release, it's analogue of rtx 2070-2080. So if you have rtx 30**/40** series and full HD monitor - I believe there wouldn't be any noticable issues with fps. I mean Witcher 3 had good enough 100+ fps only after many years of release and the game was still good. So this one is great as well.    … Expand

    Played it after patches were released. No bugs encountered.

    That being said story, mechanics, cut scenes and world were so well designed. Worthy follow up and I enjoyed it more than fallen order. Must play game.

    In addition to this, customization actually has its edge on its one. I prefer the customization value this game has given me. It made obsess on how Cal should look for every part of the game I am in. With that, It really made me explore the world even more to find materials, and other cosmetics the game can offer me. How I wish there is a Poncho!

    In conclusion, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a must-play for any Star Wars fan or anyone who has ever dreamt of becoming a Jedi. The gameplay is engaging and varied, the visuals are stunning, and the feeling of wielding a lightsaber and using the Force is simply unmatched.     I thought the original first one was great. This sequel has shown improvements in every area, except for stability, but that can be repaired over time. It was a great game and would recommend to anyone with a love of Star Wars or action/adventure games.

First, the game is still not optimized performance wise even after all the patches (and it already got it's share of review bombing here for this). At the moment on PS5 it's not game breaking any more, but you can often feel the substantial frame rate drop even on performance mode. And second, while the combat is really nice, it is not at the level of God of War or Sekiro, it's not very diverse and the skill tree is not very useful, there's little variety in moves even with the different available stances. However, overall it's a great game and if you are a fan of the Star wars universe it is definitely a must for you.… Expand

    Having said that, I am honestly a little blown away by this game. I'm a gamer in my 30s, and quit more games than I finish because there just aren't that many anymore that really, really float my boat. Games in recent memory that I got truly hooked on were Elden Ring, Hollow Knight and Cuphead. I considered Fallen Order to be mediocre in many ways. This game improves on Fallen Order in every conceivable way. I have hardly a negative thing to say about it apart from the fact that performance is not great. A month later, texture pop-in, some minor screen tearing and performance drops are a fact of life. Presentation-wise, the game somewhat pales in comparison to the likes of God of War: Ragnarok. However, there are some truly visually stunning moments as well.

    Gameplay here is freaking awesome, and despite being a somewhat narrative heavy game, this is a game you truly play. Guardians of the Galaxy, this is not. I have played most of the game dual-wielding on Jedi Master difficulty. Grandmaster would be doable. I'm not having much difficulty. I play this game very similarly to Sekiro, with attack rebound to R1. It's a rhythmic dance of parry, attack and doge, with some telekinesis thrown in. It's consistently satisfying, despite enemies offering up no loot. Movement is fun and free feeling, hugely improved over Fallen Order.

    The homeworld of Koboh and the way that it opens up as the game progresses ought to satisfy any Souls or Metroidvania fan. Worldbuilding is clever with characters you encounter in the wild who will then return to a saloon which is satisfying to watch as it grows. Sense of place and player impact on the world is significant and satisfying. The map is much more useful this time around and the lack of a compass, minimap or icons keeps the sense of exploration feeling organic.

    Characters and voice-acting are genuinely really good here. The script is good too. Not just by videogame standards. There are emotionally affecting moments, and organically funny stuff throughout. There is a literally a character names Skoova Stev, and it's genuinely fun and not an eyeroll.

    I'm giving this game a 9, because I would still love to see some actual gear and a bit more player customizability in the next installment. This game is really fantastic. i hope that they can release the next one with more polish.    … Expand

    people are grossly overreacting. Sure the game should have been released with all the 4k features functional but by a few simple tweaks the game runs fine and it still looks beautiful. love the story and game play, would have been a 9.5 or 10 if the graphical issues were fixed before release but because of the rest of the game being awesome i am willing to cut the devs some slack.

    The game finally got patched on PS5 and made playable.

    Gotta say, it is indeed the best Star Wars game ever created. The gameplay is fun and the story is intriguing.

    Now that the game has been patched, I can recommend it.

    * there are still some minor bugs that need fixing, but nothing too major nor game-breakibg.

The first game was very basic in comparison and felt like a wanna-be Dark Souls. Jedi Survivor finally feels like the devs wanted to really create their own game.     This is a great game. The story, gameplay, music, art design and voice acting are top notch. Yes the game has some performance issues but it's still very playable. People giving it a zero is absurd. On Ps5 the game runs just fine.

    That being said I think the game is a significant improvement in all other areas compared to the previous version. The combat system is much better and you can choose your own playstyle.     Fantastic game and story. I didn’t have any of the issues others are mentioning. No screen tearing, FPS drops, glitches, etc. This continuation of Cal’s story was perfect, the lightsaber battles were fun and cinematic, the combat was fun, and the new characters and their stories were very well done. I really hope their is a third installment of his journey in the future.

    This game is good. Don't waste your time on forspoken, redfall, or other half baked game. You will have a great time playing this. The star wars jedi video game series is by far the best star wars to come our since Disney bought it.

    I have had absolutely zero issues with this game. It looks fantastic, it plays excellent and is an excellent improvement on Fallen Order. I think people can get too hyped up in the furore of trashing something. My advice would be to buy the game and play it for yourself and you'll see that if you enjoy Star Wars that this, bar Andor, is the best Star Wars story for 30 years.

    I feel for anyone who had issues with launch, but I have no idea what people are griping about beyond that. They put a lot of TLC into this, and every detail feels inspired. Tone and world building is KOTR inspired

    Look, I’ll give it a 10 to offset the zeros, solid game, even after a few patches, the textures and performance is still janky. Playable though, and fine, I can understand people’s gripes though. We must stop preordering and purchasing undercooked games. How else can we communicate to not the developers but the publishers ?

    Update - after playing the game way more on the second most difficult, this game is incredible. Reminds me of old console days where frame rate didn’t matter and it was all about good games.
    In saying that, the frame rate seems to improve as you make progress in the game, even in open areas. The resolution and textures are still bad on the micro but when you’re playing the game and switch off the fine detail critical eye, it does look pretty amazing.
    In saying ‘that’, gameplay and story are absolutely incredible. I hope this developer signs an exclusivity deal with Sony moving forward as this was their last game under their current contract. Wth Sony they’d be given the time and space to finish the game before it’s released and finish the series with a game the series and developers deserve. A true masterpiece, which is what the first 2 nearly are !!!    … Expand

    I initially gave this game a 0, because of the horrible performance. Now 5 months later, it's fixed! Now the game runs with 60fps and no stutters.
    The game is really good, now the performance have been fixed I have nothing bad to say about it

    Respawn Entertainment managed to create the equivalent arkham City sequel from their Fallen Order. Like the best of Star Wars it shines with western elements in it’s story while improving in it’s gameplay. The only thing lacking is a bit more of polish in it’s combat mechanics.

    We waited a long time for the second part and the third part will finish the trilogy, hopefully soon. The game itself is awesome, but the tech aspect makes new consoles look old already 900p PS5 really! but it was coming with $500 hardware simply can't keep up with new games.     I was pleasantly surprised by this game, much like the first one. The combat is enjoyable, the characters have charisma, and the graphics are stunning. While there are some frustrating performance issues, I believe they can be fixed with a few patches.

    Para quem é fã de Star Wars provavelmente tem-se o melhor jogo já feito do universo criado por George Lucas, para além disso também é um grande jogo de ação/aventura. O jogo tem alguns problemas de performance, porém no PS5 não é nada que atrapalhe a experiência, provavelmente os novos patchs corrigirão rapidamente os problemas. Bons gráficos também.

    Improves upon the original in almost every way. More engaging gameplay, captivating story, and mostly beautiful graphics. Only problem with the graphics are a weird dithering effect that's present even in fidelity mode. Patches have improved the performance but there are still some drops every once in a while. Highly recommend.

Yes there are some bugs and one of them prevented me from completing set of missions to get platinum (had to start a new game and it worked). but the fact is, this is the best star wars game to date!!!. it's immersive, better than his prequel (which was amazing) the story and characters are great and you truly feel like aYes the game has performance issues (between 40 to 60 fps mostly).     A truly fantastic game, an improvement on all criteria, great combat, great character development, some minor bugs, but not game breaking. Highly recommend this game !

    Having now 100% completed this game and its list of trophies, i can safely say its one of my favorite star wars games in a long time and a great sequel.

    Positives: - Incredibly fun combat (especially in boss fights). - Compelling narrative with some real stand out moments, particularly towards the end. - Fleshes out the main cast far more than the first. - Excellent soundtrack. - Solid    Having now 100% completed this game and its list of trophies, i can safely say its one of my favorite star wars games in a long time and a great sequel.

    Positives:
    - Incredibly fun combat (especially in boss fights).
    - Compelling narrative with some real stand out moments, particularly towards the end.
    - Fleshes out the main cast far more than the first.
    - Excellent soundtrack.
    - Solid visuals/overall presentation.
    - Massively improved customization options.
    - Includes far more side content and secrets.

    Negatives:
    - Performance isn’t that good (even as of June 2023).
    - Certain important characters unfortunately didn’t get enough involvement or screen time in the overall story.
    - Various bugs were present in my play-through, some blocking 100% completion, requiring a NG+ run.
    - Many mysteries surrounding the game’s main location were brought up and then never revisited.

    Its important to note that i also 100% completed this games predecessor, Jedi: Fallen Order and liked it but didn’t really love it. But in my honest opinion, Jedi: Survivor is an improvement in every area that matters, except performance of-course (though it’s not nearly as egregiously bad anymore). Making this a worthwhile sequel and one that gets me excited for the future.    … Expand

    Great and fun game. Definetely better than FO! Fortunately, I did not have as many bugs as the most of the other players, so enjoyed it very much.

    Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a much bigger game than before, with plenty of new moves, collectibles and characters to discover. The size of its open-world maps means it also lacks some of the variety of its predecessor, but there is so much to see and do that you'll likely not care one jot. Perhaps the most impressive aspect is how well fleshed-out the adventure is - better even than many of the TV series and films on which it is based. This is a blockbuster in the truest sense.
