    A complete disgrace to the series of Saints Row and what it once was! All Volition had to do was listen to its community and they can’t even do that. This is NOT a Saints Row game!

    I thought the release of GTA the definitive edition was horrible. This may be the worst game ever released and wipes it’s @$$ with the intellectual property that so many fell in love with. I regret purchasing so much I made a metacritic just to warn others to never buy it. The pop-in is worse than GTA San Andreas on PS2. The writing is atrocious and the characters fail to even posses humanI thought the release of GTA the definitive edition was horrible. This may be the worst game ever released and wipes it’s @$$ with the intellectual property that so many fell in love with.     Smh. Smh. Smh. Wow we're to begin ... I'll keep it short. This game is beyond horrible! Bugs glitches graphics, are all awful. Oh and it is also Woke Garbage juice! Jesus Christ Almighty. Goodbye Saints and farewell Volition. You guys made alot of good games in the past, but I can't see how you will survive as a company after this horse **** Get woke Go broke. Good riddens.

    Arguably the worst game of the year. The arrogant developers should genuinely be ashamed of themselves, this game is a tragic piece of garbage. The story is awful and the characters EVEN WORSE. I hope the writers never get work in this industry again. One of the buggiest games I’ve played in a long time, every single thing about this game sucks. Absolutely 0 redeeming factors.     Borderline unplayable, PS5 keeps freezing up every 30 minutes or so and only full unplug boots it back up.

    Also I really, really, really hate "my" gang.

    I love games where you can create your own character. The customization in this game is great. But the terrible voice acting and dialogue ruins everything. The game has a fun aspect to it, but the horrible characters your character talking every 5 seconds to say something stupid makes it unbearable.     This one hurts. As an avid Saints Row fan; this breaks my heart. This game feels and plays worse than the original Saints Row.

    Get Saints Row: The Third Remastered. That game doesn't feel like it's from 2006.

    This is a reboot there is NONE of the older characters, no buying businesses, and the talent tree how they've done it is terrible. And when you upgrade your weapons they do not change in appearance at all.     This game is awful makes agents of mayhem look good and hate the censorship.I don't understand why franchises are becoming more weak and softer the tone is way off and game is more buggy on ps5 than pc. NO SEX APPEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Cringey, unlikeable, woke characters. Embarrassing dialog, repetitive/boring gang fights. Thank Anita Sarkeesian for this trash game and the idiots at Embracer for the direction they’ve taken this franchise.

    Complete trash game. This isnt a saints row game.These are a bunch of kids who think they are gangster but they are not and will never be. Woke,lots of bugs and crpa story. Just dont buy this and spend our money on a good game.

    It's sad how they ruined an IP. An empty open world, terrible driving, terrible AI, terrible writing, terrible characters, terrible missions, and terrible guns. Regret spending 60 dollars on this. Don't buy this game I can't even think of one positive aspect of this game.

    It looks like fortnite and gta had a bastard baby that has been hidden away for quite some time, only to bee paraded around due to the lack of anything else to show forth

    1-Looks like a netflix adaptation of the franchise
    2-The gameplay is boring
    3-The original characters of the franchise would absolutely make fun of the new ones
    4-Has a lot of bugs
    5-At least Babylon's Fall has dignity

    Game is a sorry excuse for a reboot or video game as a whole. I’ve played every Saints Row and after 5 hours of insufferable play time got a refund thankfully! Volition is going to development studio hell.

    Looks like an Xbox 360 game doing it's best Cyberbug 2077 impersonation with all the glitches. Gameplay is boring and gunplay feels off. The writing is horrible and the characters are more annoying than you can imagine. Saints Row 2022 is embarrassing.

    Played for about 5 hours.... my opinion so far is completely uninspired. Graphic comments are completely accurate ,I have it set on 4k and it's a complete joke..if u figure out how to not make your character look like a troll please let me know...who picked out these presets a virgin in his parents basement ... moronic woke comments are annoying to say the least and the woman's voice inPlayed for about 5 hours.... my opinion so far is completely uninspired.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a desaster of a game! The developers are basically pulling the whole franchise through the dirt with this.

    Short story, which is not really a story. It's what each one of us experienced in Kindergarten: Char A is hurting Char B, then helping this Char B, Char A then is betrayed by this Char B and then Char A fears everyone else is mad. THAT's it!

    Apart from the main story missions, you can do missions to make your companions stronger - which technically are only the 3 so why bother and build up Ventures in the city's districts, which also have 7-10 Missions to complete.

    Mission "design" is overly simple: Drive there, mostly fetch something - get rid of thugs, drive there to deposit. - Wrapped in a Tsunami of bugs. - Done.

    Those developers should go back to a game design class if they ever took one.    … Expand

There is just NOTHING to do in this game except the copy-paste Ubisoft like "gotoA-getitemB-returntoC" quests.

    And finally, the amount of LGBQT **** that has been injected into this game is absolutely laughable. I don't care about this topic. Please, stop hammering it into my face. Let them do what they want and let me do what I want. Stop this mindboggling all-inclusive "we have to represent everyone" garbage that noone wants and stop this annoying preaching! FK OFF!

    There is nothing worth your while in here.
    This is how gaming should NOT be.

No surprises then that most of the other "positive" reviews are from other overcompensators equally thirsty of said points (i.e.    Should've canceled itself.

    No surprises then that most of the other "positive" reviews are from other overcompensators equally thirsty of said points (i.e. journalists).

    Well, guess what? Coming from a "POC," you failed.

    In attempting to push the ideology of "inclusiveness," manages to be one not as inclusive as the devs seem to think it is; not the least of which, the inclusion in that of the "non-POC" demographic (just read your reviews).

    Released so is this game, yet we're not one step closer fixing the problems of the world.
    We're not one step closer to pushing past the superficial differences that comprise what is "us."
    We're not one step closer to addressing the shortcomings of society that are a detriment to peoples of ALL demographics.

    "Don't take it too seriously."

    This is supposed to be "just a game" and yet, the fun and novel dries up rather quickly.

    The cliché "wage slave" story feels like stepping in a puddle of water but then trampling into a brightly contrasting world of...not all that many interesting things to do in the betweens. A beautifully built world that quickly feels uninteresting to explore, even repetitive. Gone are the outrageous "idgaf" weapons so memorable of the previous entries (Rectifier Probe anyone?) replaced with weapons that I don't care enough about to remember.

    The cringe humor feels like someone woke in the morning and before the blood started flowing, thought they had a gem.

    Most of the game feels like it was attempting to compensate for something that is no longer there. And can't decide what it wants to be.

    Gone is the silliness of its past reminding itself not to take it too seriously. Replaced with a resoluteness and air of pretentiousness that has neither charm nor character. An empty shell of what it once was, the series can't return to such outrageousness. And at the same time, it cannot assimilate the gritty seriousness of its genre contemporaries.

    The greatest games need only excel at a few things. Saints Row manages to excel at none. Average and forgettable at best but the shallowness of its virtuousness leaves a foul taste long after.

    Perhaps it's time to hang it up; something that it is no longer. A dying breath harkening to the relic of a bygone era.    … Expand
