May 26, 2025RoadCraft is the current culmination of the MudRunner ethos, balancing the series’ tough vehicular action with new mechanics, improved multiplayer, and a renewed focus on fun. Slow fun, but definitely still fun.
-
May 19, 2025RoadCraft is a must-play for fans of construction simulators. There is a coziness in the laborious nature of its gameplay that is hard to resist, and with a huge amount of content, you’ll be busy cleaning up natural disasters for dozens of hours.
-
May 19, 2025While Roadcraft can slow to a crawl at times and has moments of frustration because of it, it’s still a lot of fun bringing civilisation back to these battered biomes.
-
May 19, 2025RoadCraft takes the intricate off-road fun of MudRunner and SnowRunner, and melds it with involving micro-management and building aspects, resulting in a fantastic experience that's the dev's best vehicle sim to date. With eight big maps full of ruined environs and treacherous conditions to contend with, a huge array of complex vehicles to master, and co-op play to maximise the fun of it all, this is a big old blast of a thing, a huge sandbox that's got excitement, depth, and challenge in spades.
-
May 19, 2025Overall, RoadCraft offers a unique enough twist on the established Spintires formula, if a streamlined one, to be worth giving a go. Some series veterans will end up longing for the elements it’s stripped out, especially when the new stuff that’s been drafted in is being more frustrating than fun. But, that central loop of frustration giving way to jubilation as you overcome the environment is still there and regularly just as satisfying.
-
Jun 30, 2025Roadcraft perfectly describes the rough everyday life of a construction worker in rugged landscapes.
-
May 26, 2025Roadcraft offers an impressive wealth of content and a deep suite of simulation tools that should, in theory, appeal to fans of the genre. However, the game stumbles in key areas that significantly impact the overall experience. Clunky controls make even basic tasks feel frustrating, the slow and often unrewarding progression drags down momentum, and the interface lacks the clarity and accessibility needed for smooth navigation. These persistent issues overshadow the game's strengths, making it a tough sell—even for the most devoted simulation enthusiasts.
