Ride 5 offers a fulfilling motorbike racing experience for both newcomers and seasoned veterans. Amazing graphics, a vast selection of bikes, and realistic mechanics all contribute to an engaging experience. The game is a fantastic option for console and PC players who do not own a simulator. While the game’s high level of realism may make it difficult for beginners at first, the game’s extensive career mode and A.I. assisted options make the journey a breeze.

Despite taking three years to develop, RIDE 5 didn't significantly improve upon its predecessor in terms of new features. Even if we had higher expectations, this is still the greatest moto game that isn't directly based on a real championship and a very good place for new moto sim fans to get started.

I have to be honest, 3 years after the fourth episode I would have expected a more evolved fifth chapter and, instead, net of a decidedly more focused and engaging career, the competition against the AI suffers from illogical behaviors that the player is forced to manage manually, while technically you don't notice a leap in current-gen quality that could have been expected, without the ballast of a cross-gen development. At its best it is always Ride, an almost unique game in the panorama of simulation racing and therefore a point of reference for those looking for this specific type of experience. But there is potential here that goes far beyond the improvements expressed in this chapter, closer to those of an annual series than a triennial one.

Ride 5 is not perfect, but it offers enjoyable in-game moments. We appreciate the work of the developers regarding the graphics, sound and animation. The graphics of the bikes is excellent and worthy of this generation of consoles. The soundscape is phenomenal. There is a good level of realism of the bikes and riders. The amount of tracks and bikes available is also excellent. Unfortunately, the driving model is not enough, it is imprecise, especially on the braking system, that makes some races really frustrating. A real shame for a title that, in our eyes, could really be the best of Milestone.

RIDE 5 is more of the same, but it has all been updated. For example, it looks even nicer, you have plenty of (more) choice of bikes and tracks, and also the feeling on the bike is excellent. On the other hand, the AI is not very intelligent and the career mode fails to convince. Still points to consider in a game that in general is fine. Especially for fans of the series.

Ride 5 is the biggest and most feature-rich Ride game to date, but it’s a shame that many rough edges and issues hold it back from greatness, especially for newcomers. Perhaps with a patch or two, Ride 5 will turn into something really special, but until then, it’s hard to recommend it over Ride 4.

With this latest installment beingI've always been tempted to get a Ride game, but for one reason or another, always talked myself out of it. With this latest installment being only next gen, I figured that now was as good a time as ever.
This game has so far exceeded all of my expectations. Granted, they weren't that low in the first place, but I now regret not giving this series a chance sooner.

Graphics are top notch, especially with the dynamic weather (which is unreal). The gameplay however is extremely challenging in my opinion.

In my favorite racing game of all time, Gran Turismo, even though it's a simulation, running into the occasional wall never completely hinders my race process. In Ride 5, the slightest collision or steep turn will cause you to fall off of your bike, which will more than not, cause you to lose that top spot. I appreciate this difficult yet realistic feature.

Bottom line, I really do love this game. It will take a lot more hours than I originally thought, but the graphics and overall feel are smooth combination for one of my favorite games of the year.

A dull career mode; Poor facial design and animations; Lacking extensive bike hardware customization options.

    Thoughts-
Many fans want a reason to put down RIDE 4 and pick up RIDE 5. With the fifth entry in the series, it’s not enough to tweak the graphical presentation, the motorbike physics, the weather system, and add accessibility options. Potential buyers want to be enticed by a fresh gameplay experience. Racing is racing. That part will never change. But how it’s presented, and the mode of play offered to players through progression structures, further management options, or cinematic storytelling with a modicum of choice will all go a long way to keeping fans engaged in the long term and invite newcomers simultaneously.

The endurance races are hit and miss if it puts you down to 20th from 1st and sometimes the races won't even finish, I know a few people pretty much have 1 trophy left and at least 1 unobtainable time trial is impossible to get within a few seconds of the bronze time. I would have been done with the game by now had it been playable from start to finish, but here we are, waiting around for patches, I know some people have brute forced it but I'm not willing to repeat an endurance race multiple times hoping "this is the time it will actually work as intended". I f you're a casual player I'd recommend it as I'm sure by the time you get to the potential problems they will have been fixed, but still totally unimpressed with the day 1 until now experience.
