    Capcom esta en un momento increible , este resident evil 8 village lo reafirma . Una vez mas nos damos cuenta que la prensa no termina los juegos o simplemente no los juega . Resident evil 8 es de los mejores juegos de resident evil , con virtudes y defectos . Aclare algunos puntos sin spoilers del juego y de lo que me parecio :

    Es falso decir que resident evil 8 es solo accion , tiene momentos realmente asombroso y un momento en particular que da mas miedo que todo resident evil 7 , sin embargo es cierto que tiene mucha mas accion que re7 , cuestion que no tiene porque ser necesariamente criticable , ya que capcom domina muy bien los tiempos .
    Jugabilidad excelente , mejoro mucho respecto a la jugabilidad del 7 , haciendolo mas rapido ,agil , no tan tosca como lo era su predecesor .
    Tecnicamente es excelente , animaciones muy conseguidas , fisicas muy bien (lamentablemente no se puede romper mucho el entorno ), una direccion artistica que es lo mejor del juego al igual que el diseño de escenarios .
    Armas increibles , mucha variedad .
    Sistema de inventario igual al de resident evil 4 , que personalmente me gusta mucho , el mercader funciona muy bien y divertido .
    y lo mejor del juego el sonido , impresionante lo que logro capcom haciendolo uno de los juegos mas inmersivos que he jugado nunca de 10 este apartado
    Por cierto uso del dualsense muy logrado , sobre todo con las armas INCREIBLE
    Tiempo de juego , es un poco mas largo que el 7 pero tampoco es de soprenderse resident evil nunca ha sido una saga de juegos largos por lo que no puedo ponerlo como un defecto
    Y por ultimo hablare de los puzles , historia , boss fights
    Los puzles son simples , me parece que capcom tiene que seguir mejorando en este sentido , aunque en este juego mejoro respecto a entregas anteriores le falta todavia . Hay puzles que llegan a ser ingeniosos y otros que son muy basicos .
    La historia es buena pero podia haber sido mucho mejor , Capcom tiene que mejorar la narrativa y esto no es solo algo particular de este juego sino de muchas de sus franquicias incluyendo a resient evil . haciendote sentir que no entiendes nada , que todo es especulacion , es complicado de explicarlo , personajes como chris redfield que tenia mucha espectacion acabaron siendo desaprovechado , apareciendo muy pocas veces en el juego y aun no entiendo del porque ocupa la portada del juego
    Las boss fight estan bien , un poquito mejores del estandar de esta saga
    En el unico apartado donde este juego es peor que el 7 es en el dieño de nivel .
    En conclusion estamos ante uno de los mejores resident evil top 4 por lo menos .
    Lo mejor : Ambientacion , jugabilidad , diversion , apartado sonoro, tecnicamente excelente , artisticamente de escandalo , armas , variedad de situaciones , dualsense (ps5)
    Lo peor: Historia , Fisicas mejorables respecto a la destruccion de escenarios , diseño de nivel .
    NOTA: 9 DE 10 SOBRESALIENTE Y GOTY HASTA EL MOMENTO A MI PARECER .

    Beautiful game. Graphics are top-notch. RE engine doing work! The devs have really stepped up their game. They've crafted an amazing world. I was surprised with how varied and plentiful the areas were. The lighting effects of this game are so perfect throughout the game. Even on PS5, the raytracing looks great with a steady frame rate. Gameplay is amazing. The shooting feels good and isBeautiful game. Graphics are top-notch. RE engine doing work! The devs have really stepped up their game. They've crafted an amazing world. I was surprised with how varied and plentiful the areas were. The lighting effects of this game are so perfect throughout the game. Even on PS5, the raytracing looks great with a steady frame rate. Gameplay is amazing. The shooting feels good and is well balanced for a survival horror game. The enemies are varied and so well designed. The combat itself is very good. Plenty of weapons. The merchant is great. Speaking of which.. the cast in the game is what makes it great. The characters are amazing. Both on the good and bad side. The boss fights are amazing setpieces. Story is very interesting. It does miss some deliveries in some scenes as is the usual with RE games honestly. But this game has a lot really cool stuff to add to the RE lore and story going forward which I loved. The extra content is also plentiful and encouraging to go through.

    All in all. This RE has a plentiful of all the good stuff I and fans of the series probably want in an RE game. Great Horror, exploration, item management, Gunplay, treasure hunts, boss fights, story, shocking and epic moments.

    My actual score of this game is 9/10
    But I give it 10 here cuz metacritic sucks and it's either 0 or 10. They probably should just change it to thumbs up/down lol    … Expand

    Alright, the game was great. The story is far better then the Resident Evil 7's story, the gameplay as always is awesome. However I have an issue with the game itself and I hope we'll see some improvement in the future. The length of the game. Resident evil games aren't long to finish the main story which is a shame. You pay a game for 60/70 bucks to play it for 10 hours and then be doneAlright, the game was great. The story is far better then the Resident Evil 7's story, the gameplay as always is awesome. However I have an issue with the game itself and I hope we'll see some improvement in the future. The length of the game. Resident evil games aren't long to finish the main story which is a shame. You pay a game for 60/70 bucks to play it for 10 hours and then be done with it. Which is what most people who bought the game will do. There are some challenges you can do in order to play longer, but in my opinion, the main story should be longer. I personally would enjoy Resident Evil 9 a lot more if the main story was roughly 20 hours long instead of 9 or 10.

    I wouldn't want them to stretch out the story, forcefully make it longer therefore boring, I'd want them to try and make a longer story while keeping the fun of it. Or at least make it cheaper because it's a little too expensive in my taste. Solo games nowadays should last between 20 to 40 hours in my opinion. Other than the game length, I don't have any issue with the game, everything was explained, I like the new mechanic introduced (or should I say IntroDuked). All in all, it's a great game, I wouldn't say it's worth the 70 euros if you're planning on playing for a while but if you're in it for the story, then maybe.    … Expand

    Magnificent!!! Hands down one of the best Resident Evil games in years! it's got everything from the survival horror genre, mixed well with action & adventure elements. Fun bosses, awesome story with a mind-blowing twist and it's decently long for a RE game. Oh and it looks incredible! This is a 10/10 MUST BUY game, it's just a great experience and value! Well done to the developers. :)

    I really liked this game and if you liked RE7 you will love this one aswell. I think the gameplay is RE8 is better, but the story in RE7 is better. They are both must play titles for fans of the horror genre.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. re village is a good game I loved the Design of the weapons and the places the art direction is beautiful the gameplay is similar to re7 but with better Techniques but the game has its issues the first thing is the characters some of them were disappointing like the lady dimitrescu they put her in every trailer And they hyped us about her then we only see her in the beginning and her boss fight is not very good and the other character is the ugly guy his boss fight was bad he traps you in a small area and you just have to shoot anywhere and hope he dies and the other issue is the story it has some issue or maybe I didn’t understand it but overall it’s a good game… Expand

    What a great game! The levels are fun, the boss fights are great, the horror is pretty well done and unexpected, there is this one part scared the crap out of me, and the story is interesting. Overall, there are still minor flaws, but it's still a very good game to play.

    Este juego me parece una maravilla, esta muy bien hecho y eso se nota. Hacia tiempo que no me sentia tan cómodo jugando a un Resident Evil, en pocos momentos se hace pesado y tiene una historia muy buena con unos jefes muy entretenios. Mi nota es un 9, me parece una nota justa.

    Ambientación increíble y muy inmersivo ayudado por su sonido 3d y las funciones del mando de ps5. Un resident evil que no pierde su esencia aunque su evolución también es muy notable. Excelente. Si sale en un futuro para las VR será increíble como ya lo fue el VII

The revolation that Ethen is a molded creature and thus can't die and has been dead since the beginning of 7 takes away all rlthe stakes of these games. that his daughter rose who is a reincarnation of evalyn who is able to control molded creatures the same mold that the t-virus is made of basically makes her a god who is able to control army's of the undead in resident evil a series well known for happy living people. All this being cannon and tied to the series as a whole has lasting ramifications and basically **** on the series as a whole. By introducing imortal molded beings all you need is some mystic magic mumbo jumbo and boom you can create your loved ones who are dead from mold that can't die. Way to go Capcom you made resident evil six look good with this one. The voice actors apart from two are awful the narrative is insulting the puzzles can't really be called that and could be solved by a five year old it's rediculiously easy even on the hardest mode it never truly feels terrifying apart from that monster baby bit. It may have good atmosphere but you will find yourself lolling into a state of ease with not much challenging you. It's a shame really I think that there is a good game underneath all the **** bug you have to dig really hard to find it. Re:8 ruined 7 games not counting the spinoff so that puts the score to one and I give it a point for that god damn monster baby scaring me stupid so a Two! And I gave re:6 a three so yeah **** this game thanks for destroying the lore of one of my favourite game series I'm done with this series it's dead now… Expand

    And if they catch you there's a lot of in-your-face-screaming with little repercussion. nemesis and mr x. made you sh your pants. These balloons are more    it's bad.     The new Resident Evil continues the adventures of Ethan in Romania and it is a lot of fun. It draws inspirations from RE4 and more action and Resident Evil true than 7 not being that scary. A game that is a lot of fun, this is what it is important in video games to not forget to be fun.

    Resident Evil Village has just become my favourite RE game so far. It’s a truly incredible game that feels like a tribute to the most iconic RE games so far, borrowing a bit from every game.
    The story is truly amazing, as a fan of RE who has played all of them I never thought RE would wake on me all the feelings it woke a the end.

    Excelente jogo, não esperava absolutamente nada pelo game e me surpreendeu positivamente. Boas dublagens, bons momentos de tensão, bons boss fights. O game conseguiu resgatar diversos aspectos que já eram bem consolidados na franquia, e trouxe com maestria. Um dos melhores, sem dúvidas.

    In artistic and sound concept it has its 10, what bothers me is that the feeling of suspense or terror is lost, since lady dimitrescu chases you through a mansion is nothing new, nor does it give the sensation that something is chasing you, different to what happened in resident evil 2, 3 and 7, that if it left you so to speak badly. The issue of the enemies is well achieved, but theIn artistic and sound concept it has its 10, what bothers me is that the feeling of suspense or terror is lost, since lady dimitrescu chases you through a mansion is nothing new, nor does it give the sensation that something is chasing you, different to what happened in resident evil 2, 3 and 7, that if it left you so to speak badly. The issue of the enemies is well achieved, but the difficulty is a topic to talk about, it costs you more to kill the lycanthropes than the daughters of the lady, the fight of the lady reminds me of the fight of Christ against the fly giant of resident evil 5, if it weren't for the characters, I wouldn't know that it is from the resident evil saga, I see it as just any horror game and the ending, well, each one with their own taste Finally to pass the time is a good game but it does not become a resident evil like its predecessors.… Expand

    Capcom have truly crafted a unique and fun horror/action experience that is thrilling, captivating and (somehow) always unexpected. Even at the game’s lowest points, it still manages to at least grip you due to how willing that game is to always throw new set pieces at the wall and doesn’t linger on them for far too long. After finishing the    Resident Evil 8 is an excellent game.

    Capcom have truly crafted a unique and fun horror/action experience that is thrilling, captivating and (somehow) always unexpected. Even at the game’s lowest points, it still manages to at least grip you due to how willing that game is to always throw new set pieces at the wall and doesn’t linger on them for far too long.

    After finishing the game I had to play it again. I'm currently on my third play-through and am slowly working towards the Nightmare difficulty setting. A tone of fun.    … Expand

Реиграбельность высокая, режим наемников понравился, сам сюжет довольно неплохой, я ожидал честно говоря хуже. Есть в конце один момент, где как по мне, там идет полный кринж (Гейзенберг), в целом я всем доволен. Надеюсь, у игры будут хорошие продажи и капком будет и далее развивать серию.

Sure, the atmospherics were great combining soundtrack with the environment but gameplay is king and that’s wherein the problem lies. Why is it that more and more games are relying on graphics to disguise the lack of quality gameplay ?Oh, what a let down, another game which puts graphics over gameplay. What was once a fantastic video game series has become a shadow of its former self. Sure, the atmospherics were great combining soundtrack with the environment but gameplay is king and that’s wherein the problem lies. Why is it that more and more games are relying on graphics to disguise the lack of quality gameplay ? Further, let’s not forget the combat engine which is truly abysmal especially when you consider combat mechanics such as the Demon souls series for example.Without a doubt, the resident evil developers are stuck in the past and not in a good way yet demand a whopping £70 a pop…….… Expand

    First next gen game. The details in the environment are like the gilded age. There's just so much baroque architecture and crazy staircases and even railings look amazing. The game is perfect to me with the huge different "levels" and the hub, the classic monsters, the right amount of gunplay with exploration and puzzles. My jaw was dropped so many times. And just moved the classic monsters and horror. Masterpiece. 10/10. First time i preordered a deluxe edition and was happy!     Gran variedad de enemigos, excelente como cada batalla contra un jefe es distinta, de verdad excelente . La casa Beneviento es una obra de arte, es la cantidad perfecta de terror que necesitábamos.

    A mi parecer el juego estuvo muy bien ejecutado, me gustó la implementación de los conceptos del resident evil 4 y 7, la unión de estos conceptos con la historia y su amplia cantidad de armas y "monstruos" mutados me pareció muy buena diría que hasta me fascinó.     This game is so much more than i ever expected it to be. It's way longer than i expected it to be. I think some people don't understand that resident evil games have always been 5 to 16 hours, if you take your time it can be 20, but it's somewhere around there. Solid work by Capcom.

    Instead of a more grounded experience like RE7 we get a hodgepodge of RE7, RE6 and RE4. And like this game, sometimes it feels great and sometimes its cheesy. First person worked in RE7, while in this game it just feels clunky, restrictive and overall bad.

    I wont spoil the story but even the final "boss" makes fun of how you have to go through each area to progress. It does not feel as natural as RE7 or RE2 remake. Most of the puzzles are laughably easy. And even on hard the game is just way to easy. They throw money, gems and valuables at you left and right.

    Overall I do not hate this game like some other RE games. But compared to others it comes off a little flat for me. Again, not a bad game by any means, just not great either.    … Expand

Then it became a process of me frantically looking for where to go next before being slaughtered by a large group of the beast creatures. Rinse and repeat for two hours before I decided to just opt for a refund. No idea what I was doing wrong. I’ve heard others say it’s pretty easy. One of the biggest issues I had was picking up items. Sometimes I would be standing right next to it with the icon highlighted, but it’s like the button just wouldn’t register. The start of the game was also confusing and didn’t feel like RE to me. Controls were clunky, which I guess is to be expected. The enemies also felt more out of something like Devil May Cry or even like the orca from LotR. Main character seemed lame. His reactions just didn’t make sense, especially considering he’s been through this before. I didn’t play 7, so maybe that would help. Also had problems seeing because it was too dark.    … Expand

    Being forced to play the mercenaries game mode has taking this game from sold 9 game to a 1 such a bad game mode then it’s just full of rng. And make it worse every time you die you have to go through the annoying task of doing load out again. How can you make such a good game then do such a bad job with this Game mode. Idiots

    Probably the best game I've ever played. The storyline was amazing. The fact it circled back to previous events in THIS game as well as events in RE7 made it even better. It kept me on my toes the whole time, always wondering what was to come. I'm not a crazy fan of horror/scary, but it just worked so well I didn't even notice. Now, my point is that the mandatory mercenary mode for platinum is horrible and disgusting. Anyone who has guessed to make it mandatory for platinum must be immediately dismissed from the company.

    When i saw this game on First person Shooter again . i was shocked ... that was my end for Resident evil series . The game end it up like outlast in a very bad way . no one ever thought of making it duo like Resident evil 0 with a new graphics engine etc . I personally don't like FPS games .. so it is not for me anymore .

    The game is just great! The plot is addictive, the management is generally pleasant, in some parts it's creepy. Passed 4 times to collect all the trophies (played on PS4)! BUT!!! Why was it necessary to go through the stupid S-rank mercenary mode to get platinum????? Only because of this low score!!!

The story is not engaging and doesn’t make sense. It in no way follows the story of its predecessor apart from the fact that it has the same lead character in it. Who ever at capcom thought this was a good idea needs to be fired immediately. The negatives for me would be that the first area you go to other than the village it’s self is the gorgeous Castle that Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters inhabit I felt that the 3 other areas after this weren’t as good, 2 of them weren’t necessarily bad but no where near as interesting or creative as the first. I wasn’t a fan of Heisenbergs factory at all I found it very repetitive and mostly boring and more reminiscent of the boat section in 7 which I didn’t like either mostly for the same reasons. The boss battles where all intriguing but far too easy regardless of difficulty their patterns were very repetitive so therefore easy to figure out quickly. Overall I really enjoyed RE: Village enough to say it’s a good game but once again it has more than enough flaws to hurts its overall score.… Expand

    PS5 is too weak to run this in 4k 60fps with ray tracing. Drops frames constantly. On Series X it runs a buttery smooth 4k 60fps with ray tracing and HDR. Never drops.a frame ever.

Erst mal das Dorf wie in Teil 4, ein Haus/schloss wie in Teil 1+2, dann noch ein mr x/nemesis-Ersatz, ein großer Fisch wie in Teil 4, Action Geballer wie in Teil 4/5/6. für mich der schlechteste Teil der Reihe, weil er sich nicht entscheiden kann was er sein möchte.

    This is probably the most lovingly crafted Resident Evil game and the best in the entire franchise (although likely nothing will replace RE4 as my favorite). It's like they took the best components of RE4 and the best of RE7 and crafted an amazing and refreshing story to cement it into the RE franchise. Mercenaries mode is in some ways better and more approachable than it was in RE4, 5, or 6.

    RE8 reminds me nothing of the old games but the graphics are drop dead gorgeous, the gun play is perfect, the game gives you goosebumps because its scary at times. The story is ridiculous & sucks & Ethan Winters is so lame. I had a good time with the game and beat it in about 30 hours.

Werewolves, vampires, whatever stupid doll horror movie's there have ever been, Terminator 4 Dawn Of Fate or whatever, Retconning the origins of spencer's research, full blown re4 style action sections that feel so out of place and tacked on. All of it feels like a stretch for the lore. They really need to take the series back to it roots. Imagine zombies, hunters and survival with the RE Engine!!!
    8 almost had some great puzzles but, of course they were made too simple because capcom doesn't understand it's core fanbase. Money Money Money. There was a great piano puzzle that would have required actually thought and research for a non musician... but of course you can get past it by slamming every key until it gives you the answer. I was almost stumped because I got Treble Clef and Bass Clef mixed up in my head. But no... I noticed it was giving me the answer when I picked the wrong note to many times. Sigh... The generic doll horror movie sections was another wasted opportunity for great puzzles. I was getting a lot of old school silent hill vibes. But it was tedious and extremely straight forward. Not a terrible section for a horror game overall. I got scared. It was tense. But the potential... Again... A lot of work went into this game and it for sure has cool part's. It's just all rushed as a whole and feels very hollow for an RE game.    … Expand

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
