    I CANNOT recommend this game enough, especially for a fan of Resident Evil who's played all of the games. This is the pinnacle of Capcoms achievements in making a Resident Evil game. It combines every positive aspect of the games we love and optimizes them all into a nostalgia trip, while at the same time keeping everything as new as it seemed in 7.     From the story to the gameplay, from the horror to the action, resident evil village delivers an impeccable next gen experience. I honestly cannot wrap my head around such a low score here on metacritic. It should easily be in the 90s. If you haven't played it, you should. Great job, Capcom!

    Un gameplay divertente, dinamico e che non annoia mai.
    Storia raccontata bene e senza mai dilungarsi troppo, rendendolo sempre scorrevole e con colpi di scena continui dietro l'angolo.
    Il twist del personaggio di Ethan, che si scopre alla fine, crea una sensazione che pochi giochi riescono a regalare.
    Un'avventura che speri non finisca mai e che regala un mix di emozioni che lasciano il segno al giocatore.
    Il mercante è una chicca che ti permette di conoscere dettagli della storia e da semplice "venditore" diventa un tuo amico fedele, facendoti rivalutare completamente il personaggio.
    Resident Evil Village accumula i migliori tratti di Resident Evil 4 e gli unisce ai lati migliori dei suoi precedenti.
    Un'atmosfera horror con un gameplay sempre emozionante ed action; Ethan che trova un degno e onorevole finale, mostrando di essere lui l'eroe.
    Altro dettaglio degno di nota è la comparsa di Spencer nel racconto, che mostra come nonostante il capitolo sia molto diverso e staccato dai precedenti RE, ci sia una vera unione.
    Gioco che merita il GOTY assolutamente e sicuramente la strada giusta verso ciò che ci si aspetta da un titolo come Resident Evil.

Aquela sensação de ter vários itens e lugares para explorar, diversos itens que serão usados apenas no futuro do game, o jogador ficar com a dúvida se ele achou tudo o que pôde. Não é algo enjoativo, têm diversos inimigos, os bosses, ambientação, a história é boa. Mas nem tudo são flores, na minha opinião os bosses morrem muito rápido, como se fossem fáceis e fracos. Eu teria feito um desenvolvimento maior para cada personagem, ter toda uma dificuldade (maior do que a que teve), para enfim, vencer.… Expand

    No doubt, this entry of the game is an absolute masterpiece with a lot of respect to the fan's favorite Resident Evil 4.

    Great graphics, (I played on Xbox Series S and was totally astounded by the graphics the game can provide on such an affordable console while providing stable 60 FPS!), the story is great, and, most importantly, the length of the game done just right. As a    No doubt, this entry of the game is an absolute masterpiece with a lot of respect to the fan's favorite Resident Evil 4.

    Great graphics, (I played on Xbox Series S and was totally astounded by the graphics the game can provide on such an affordable console while providing stable 60 FPS!), the story is great, and, most importantly, the length of the game done just right.

    As a perfectionist, I beat the games after 12 hours, (which is far more considering that the usual beat time is around 9 hours), but I truly enjoyed discovering every single piece of each location and to find all the sectors possible – that's what good game is supposed to do to you.

    Resident Evil 7 was a great game too, but Village plays and feels like a much more serious AAA title with a great open-world, which 7th lacked.

    So fat the best game of 2021 and one of the best RE entries so far. 10/10.    … Expand

    Ablsolutly brilliant finished the game in about 10 hours on standart difficulty. Graphics are beautiful on ps5, story telling couldn't of been better, same as the gunplay mechanics. Very emersive especially with a good pair of head phones and the adaptive triggers. 100% woryh the money. Therefore im giving this a 101 out of 10 it deserves.

    Better then both re4 and re7! Best get in the series thus far. Ties into re7 perfectly but you don't ha e to play re7 if you don't want. There are a few hiccups with the game but you won't notice. Replay + is awesome!

    I played all resident evil games and this game is one of the best resident evil games and I mostly loved the story because it's new type of story and emotional ending that I mostly loved.

    Mira yo no pensaba que iría a superar o igualar a resident evil 7 que también es gran juego, es uno de los únicos juegos que me ha tocado dentro, admito que este juego es un 10, lo recomiendo bastante, pero primero deberíais de jugar el 7 para sentirlo como todos

    Best of Re7 and RE4 pressed into one game. Horror, action, camp, attention to detail, loot and upgradeable weapons. So fun, endlessly replayable. Highly recommend

    I have never completed a previous Resident Evil game before, but this time I fell for it immediately.

    This game is immersive, the music and the creepy atmosphere is what pumped my adrenaline. But it doesn't scare people off and it leads you forward with an amazing story line and you just want to follow it to see what's next.     NGL I enjoyed the whole game. New place is awesome designed. You can't be bored playing RE8, story is well written and action never stops. There's always something to do. If that's not a riddle then it'll be a bunch of monsters trying to kill you or even a boss fight. All boss fights are unique and well designed.     Amazing game, perfect length for me, lots of replay value with the harder modes and infinite ammo unlocks. Don't understand the people moaning it's too short, go play assassin's creed Valhalla if you want boring mindless hours of gameplay doing the same things

    As someone who isn’t an avid horror game player, I thoroughly enjoyed this game from beginning to end, and every other playthrough I’ve done. I wasn’t sure if I’d end up liking the game when I first got it but it easily tops my list of games from the past year. Everything from the story to the worldbuilding and atmosphere was done so well and I still keep replaying for extras.

    I’m only playing re8 for the first time now, but on psvr2. I respect the mixed reviews for re8 and7. And I respect the different direction capcom have taken with these 2 games. These games were not designed with vr in mind, but we’re designed completely for vr. This game is a true masterpiece in vr2. I am completely blown away, I’m going back to play re7 on vr2.     Probably the best game I've ever played. The storyline was amazing. The fact it circled back to previous events in THIS game as well as events in RE7 made it even better. It kept me on my toes the whole time, always wondering what was to come. I'm not a crazy fan of horror/scary, but it just worked so well I didn't even notice. It was the perfect blend of scary, action and thriller. IProbably the best game I've ever played. The storyline was amazing. The fact it circled back to previous events in THIS game as well as events in RE7 made it even better. It kept me on my toes the whole time, always wondering what was to come. Folks, it's a game changer. I thought #ResidentEvil8 would have me screaming aloud, but it instead left me speechless. I am overwhelmed to the point of confusion by it's existence.     10/10 - Capcom outdid themselves mixing in great horror genre lore with the unique setting of Romania. Brilliant game, the fast-paced 8th instalment shoots for a mixture of RE4 and RE7, and has great replay value, one of my most favourite games of the year (if not my most favourite one).

    Absolutely loved it, best RE game since RE 4 in my opinion. The graphics were phenomenal, the action was great, has a lot of replayability with new game+ and extra guns. The level and map designs were amazing. Some parts were genuinely creepy and scary. Highly recommend if you were a fan of RE 4.

    I played all Resident Evil games so far and I am huge fan of series. I like classic zombies RE1, RE2, RE3 and RE4 but this RE Village it is the best RE game so far. Very good story, nice gunplay, crafting, awesome cutscenes and awesome sound makes this game a perfect masterpiece.

    I'm not big fan of Resident Evil franchise, but this one is probably the game of year for me. Great story, incredible atmosphere, perfect gameplay, also every boss fight is spectacular, choice of weapons is huge, i really recommend you to play this game, you will enjoy and probably you will play it at least twice.

    I wanted to give 9 becouse the last location of haizenberg destroyed for me the whole atmosphere of this village but some nice leady and her jucy big benefits made my decision to give it 10 (joke). Game is really amazing especialy if you play it in vr2 like i did for the first time. So many jumpy moments makes me change my pants few times during the first run.     A perfect sequel to RE7's formula. Everything just keeps getting better. Perfect story, gameplay and insane graphics. RE Engine is AMAZING.

    The one of the best part of resident evil after that resident evil 4 I played enemies and boss fights and atmosphere more scary than RE7

    Excelente juego, lo gráficos están buenos, la historia interesante, los combates divertidos, el audio es excelente, aprovecha el dualsense muy bien.

    A true master piece. A lot of people would say RE7 is better but I disagree. I had much more fun playing this game. If only the game came in VR man.. Even though it didn't it's still a master piece.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Capcom has really created a top notch game and now this has set a benchmark for all FPS horror games according to me.
    Let's be honest by saying that capcom has redeemed itself with this game after the Resident Evil 3 Remake. I personally liked RE3 too.
    The visuals. Stunning. Breathtaking. It also maintains the atmosphere of the horror game. Trust me. You are going to find plenty of wallpapers in this game. It is absolutely beautiful.
    Coming to the gun mechanics, It is good and they did not mess around with it much keeping it simple and clean, like RE7.
    The story. Woah. Dislike this review if you did not cry, cause I cried, for 2 whole days.
    Now back to the overall gameplay. They absolutely smashed it. You will find parts where you need to use your wits, your accuracy (trust me, you're going to need this), also your courage (never have I ever played a resident evil game that is as terrifying as this one).

    Resident hasn't felt so fresh In years everything about this just gripped me from start to finish with a compelling story, awesome bosses and great variety of weapons with a mix of combat in tight and open areas.

    Village is a really fun game and absolutely a great sequel to RE7 and that also links perfectly to past events of the saga.

    My first Resident Evil game and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the graphics and story elements. Combat & menus were easy to navigate.

    A temática do jogo é sensaciona! Nunca imaginei que Resident Evil chegaria nisso um dia! A parte do castelo é extraordinária! As personagens que te perseguem são todas extremamente bem feitas e te deixam super tenso toda vez que aparecem! Um belo exemplo de como um survival horror deve ser, parabéns!!!

    Pros
    1. Extremely well optimised for Next-gen
    2. Boss battles are an adrenaline rush
    3. Village setting is extremely creepy and unsettling
    4. More combat focussed than RE7: biohazard

    Cons
    Only being that it was not as scary as RE7....

    Overall.....a masterpiece

    i have already beat the game four time and its my first resident evil game and i love it the boss fights were actually hard when i played the game on hardcore and village of shadow the graphics were amazing and the bonus content was very entertaining and the most memorable part of the game was castle dimitrescu so the summary is capcom did a very good job so buy this game

El juego se siente, se ve y se disfruta de una manera que me ha tenido enganchado al mando como hacía tiempo que no lo estaba. Un equilibrio execelente entre terror, survival horror, acción. intriga.     i really enjoined playing resident evil village this is the greatest resident evil game today. besides this game remind me a lot to resident evil 4. in my opinion I liked the characters, the environment, the gameplay and the story. definitely this game deserves my respect and the respect of everyone.

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
