    This game is absolutely beautiful. It contains both seriously horrific moments while still employing commonly cheesy horror tropes. The story is ambitious, and I really enjoyed how they wove the story into other RE games. I did find elements of the story predictable, however, excellently implemented.     The characters like lady D are designed so well that even when capcom designed parts of the game locations they took the characters like lady D or Heisenberg into consideration creating a very authentic setting and story.     whoever wrote this game need a **** raise, amazing story.
    It is a perfect sequel of RE7, the gameplay is very fun.
    The level design is something of another world, outstanding.
    The village, the castle and all the other places are insane.
    It's not scary as RE7 but the tension while playing is always present.

    This is a fantastically great game! Everything was done expertly and it fits right in to the Resident Evil universe. Without any spoilers, the way that they divided the game into different levels with unique bosses was so cool! The horror prevails throughout, but the best horror is always just as cool as it is creepy. I honestly wouldn't change a single thing about it!

    Man, this game was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed my time with it. This game probably has the most gorgeous, stunning graphics and art direction that I have ever seen. My god it is so majestically beautiful! Exploring in this game is such a treat (but it can be scary xD). The gameplay and story were engaging and thrilling. There was also a lot of variety in the game. It's one of the bestMan, this game was SO GOOD! I really enjoyed my time with it.     I’ve beaten this game 3x now and am still playing. So many things to do and see. Story is great as is atmosphere. Perfect balance of action & horror. Most fun I’ve had playing an RE game since RE4.

    Magnificent!!! Hands down one of the best Resident Evil games in years! it's got everything from the survival horror genre, mixed well with action & adventure elements. Fun bosses, awesome story with a mind-blowing twist and it's decently long for a RE game. Oh and it looks incredible! This is a 10/10 MUST BUY game, it's just a great experience and value! Well done to the developers. :)

    Finally Capcom is going back to their Resident Evil 4 (Best Resident Evil game of all time) roots. It's about time. Way better than Resident Evil 7 in literally every way possible. More actually interesting/fun boss fights, Weapon Upgrades, enemies drop loot (as they should), beautiful graphics. Can't wait to see what they do with Resident Evil 4 Remake, because now i'm hyped.

    Perfect combination of Action and Horror. Just like Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, The Evil Within and some more. I don't like these hide and seek type horror games, i want to fight back and have fun. Good game.

Resident Evil 4 has always been most popular RE game and many consider it one of the best games of all time.     I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game. It has Resident Evil 7 camera and Resident Evil 4 elements like inventory/merchant. It even has some RE2 Remake elements, that i'm not gonna spoil. Way more normal enemies than in RE7 (that's a +), more bosses (also a +), bosses actually look interesting, some of them reminded me The Evil Within bosses (that's a +).I really like it and i think it's very well done Resident Evil game.     Overall amazing game. Better boss fights than even RE2R and RE2R had solid boss fights. Not RE4 level boss fights, but still solid enough and better than most recent RE games. It's just simple fact that RE4 is basically king of boss fights when it comes to Horror games. Boss fights are one of the main reasons i re-play games over and over again.     Finally Horror game for more open-minded people. I'm so tired of these boring Outlast type "Horror" games, where you just run away and hide like little b_tch. There's nothing scary about that, it's just annoying. Just cause you can fight back and upgrade guns, doesn't mean that game is not scary anymore. This logic makes no sense. Having guns and actually fighting your way through scaryFinally Horror game for more open-minded people.     Not better than 7, but still a great game. The story started off as a cliche, but it had some great twists so I could enjoy that. Overall not very scary, but this game had amazing, memorable boss fights. Well-made survival horror game.

Whole game has very strong Resident Evil 4 vibes and i dig that a lot, because RE4 is one my favorite games of all time. But it's not copy+paste of RE4 either, it's just inspired by it and has similarI like this game a lot.     What a great game! The levels are fun, the boss fights are great, the horror is pretty well done and unexpected, there is this one part scared the crap out of me, and the story is interesting. Overall, there are still minor flaws, but it's still a very good game to play.

I think 7 and 8 are the best so far I've been there when the first resi came out and for their time those where great resi 4 is still great today but let's face it 7 and 8 are the best they changed resi for the better, I even liked the part where you played Chirs Redfield and just blew the **** out of every monster you came across which was the exact thing I hated about resi 5 and especially 6. Also that baby part with the puppet master just gave me silent hill p.t. vibes. They almost **** it with the you were dead all along, but it did make sense so I give it a pass. 10/10 Haven't enjoyed a game like this since resi 7, we need more horror games like this. Now all it needs is a online coop mode.… Expand

    Capcom is finally going back to their Resident Evil 4 roots aka best era of Resident Evil. Can't praise them enough, so i'm just gonna say thank you! This really means a lot to me, because Resident Evil 4 is my all time favorite game and to be able to experience something similar again, is just amazing. Thank you Capcom!

    This is probably the most lovingly crafted Resident Evil game and the best in the entire franchise (although likely nothing will replace RE4 as my favorite). It's like they took the best components of RE4 and the best of RE7 and crafted an amazing and refreshing story to cement it into the RE franchise. Mercenaries mode is in some ways better and more approachable than it was in RE4, 5, or 6.

    This is a game dedicated to celebrate RE games and Horror Troupe game with mechanics and references. This is maybe the best story in all of RE Games. Before you play this, please play RE 7 first because the impact of the story is soo good if you have played RE 7.

Lograron que te encariñaras con el personaje, sin embargo no me parece que hayan terminado su historia, apenas es el segundo juego que teníamos con él, apenas nos lo presentaron bien y resulta que ya está muerto, no necesitas matar al personaje principal para lograr un buen final.
    Gran variedad de enemigos, excelente como cada batalla contra un jefe es distinta, de verdad excelente . La casa Beneviento es una obra de arte, es la cantidad perfecta de terror que necesitábamos.
    El único problema que encuentro con la jugabilidad es que a veces parece que estás agachado cuando no es así.    … Expand

    This game was truly a Next Gen game for the PS5 especially with the hepatic feedbacks and the adaptive triggers! The game itself had amazing stunning visuals and amazing gameplay as it stayed true to a horror/survival game. The game from start to finish had me emotional. From fear to joy to sadness. This game is a masterpiece.     Resident Evil Village is a great game for the following reasons:

    1. The mystery is very intriguing. As I finished RE 7: Biohazard, I had a lot of unanswered questions about Ethan Winters and many of them were answered during this game (I'm not going into spoilers). 2. Gameplay - I really liked the transition from almost exclusive horror genre (in RE 7) to action-horror, while    Resident Evil Village is a great game for the following reasons:

    The action mechanics are somewhat simplistic but the game compensates with lots of difficult situations that will force the player to be sharp or survive with no ammo. The game also includes many puzzles and some very interesting bosses arcs, that are delivered with great story and atmosphere in addition to the fight itself.
    3. Characters - I find Ethan Winters as a very good and relatable protagonist because he is a normal guy (mostly...) , and throughout the game he has to deal with some very disturbing and dark moments in order to save his child. As we progress we see how he is affected by the events until the ending.
    The four lords are very interesting although you don't get a lot of interaction with them. However, It is amazing how reading the lore in the game succeed to expand your understanding their narrative.

Would recommend Village to anyone (even people who are new to RE series) who wants to have fun, lots of boss battles, great graphics and weapon upgrades. People who say it doesn't have horror at all are simply lying. Or maybe their definition of horror is just hiding in the corner. That's something i call pathetic, not horror, but to each their own.     This game is so much more than i ever expected it to be. It's way longer than i expected it to be. I think some people don't understand that resident evil games have always been 5 to 16 hours, if you take your time it can be 20, but it's somewhere around there. Solid work by Capcom.

    Love this game lots off ammo takes the stress off. Between res 4 and 7 crossover. IMO this game is what they should turn the worst game res 4 into the best game on par with this one. I really don't understand why majority off people consider res 4 the best must be nostalgia for the old people, I'm old by the way.

    This game is amazing 10/10. The graphics are superb and on the PS5 without ray tracing still looked amazing and no fps drops. The story is very good aswel and paced very nicely. Its just an amazing game I played it none stop the day i received it!

    I never review but this game blew my mind, I own many PS5 games but this felt like the true experience; the game is gorgeous, the gothic artstyle is a huge improvement from 7.
    The whole time i was playing i had a mix of anxiety and smiles on my face, the game has so many tense moments but all the enemies and bosses are unique and unforgettable.

    On PS5 this was optimised like a dream with only a few hiccups with fps drops during explosions etc; the seemless loading was noticable comparing to gameplay of pc and xbox.

    Love the duke as a merchant mechanic! feel like there needed to be more to buy alongside the story being fairly short. I WANT MORE!!! hope to see some DLC!

    I’ve played every resident evil and this entry just blew me away... the game itself is an absolute love letter to the series as a whole. So so so much attention and care went into this game and in my opinion this is now best Resident Evil game ever made. This game deserves the love it gets and so so soooo much more. Mwah! DLC side story maybe(?)

    + Firstly, I would like to mention that resident evil 4 is my favorite game in the series. Considering all the similarities(village, castle, plagas style enemies) i was hyped from the start.
    + I thought game was going to be action orianted more than a scary game but this game manages to achieve both in an incredibly good way.

    To be clear, I enjoyed Resident Evil Village, as when it's great it's on fire. Characters are entertaining, there are some lovely 'holy **** what?' twists and turns, while exploring and unlocking the titular village is satisfying. But it does feel like a mishmash of directions. Early rumors suggested this started life as Resident Evil Revelations 3, before being reworked and upgraded to aTo be clear, I enjoyed Resident Evil Village, as when it's great it's on fire. Characters are entertaining, there are some lovely 'holy **** what?' twists and turns, while exploring and unlocking the titular village is satisfying. But it does feel like a mishmash of directions. Early rumors suggested this started life as Resident Evil Revelations 3, before being reworked and upgraded to a Resident Evil 7 sequel, and having finished it I can believe that. The change between the first and second halves feels like a gradual drift from the sinister tone of the last game, to Revelations' louder, fun action movie vibe. That said I'm going to have to try to explain as much as I can without spoiling anything, because Capcom has impressively managed to keep about 90% of the game secret and only shown off the first maybe three or four hours. Almost everything I could mention that isn't Vampire Mommy or a werewolf will be a surprise I don't want to ruin.… Expand

    Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
