    I would suggest everyone to just completely ignore all the whiners and complainers, these people have zero idea what they are talking about.     very good remake. Original used to be one of my favorite games of all time for years, but i recently went back to see how it compares to remake and i have to honest, it really is outdated in many, many aspects. This remake is wonderful new version of RE4 and improves this game so much and brings it to modern standard. Better voice acting, amazing graphics, better dialogue, improved bossvery good remake. I remember that after insane review bombing when RE4R released, you deleted over 1000 fake negative reviews and i'm very thankful for that. That was amazing work!     One of the best games of 2023. Overall very good remake, i tried to go back to original and it was just way too outdated, this remake is perfect way to play RE4 from now on. Sad to see those worthless losers, who are trying to review bomb this great game, but ultimately it doesn't even matter, game is great!

    Finally finished this game and it is massive improvement over original! It's surprisingly faithful to the original, while modernizing certain areas of the map, massive improvement in graphics and dialogue / voice acting. It's also scarier than original (as expected). Ashley is actually amazing this time, feels like different character.

    Highly recommended!

    This is the greatest timeline! Feels so good to be horror fan in a time where best horror games are making full comeback! Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space Remake in same year? Hell yeah! Both were amazing as well and possibly Silent Hill 2 remake at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024? Perfection!

    Relação do Leon com tds os outros personagens são muito legais além de referências marcantes do jogo de 2005 destaque para a luta contra o krauser que senti arrepio de tão foda.

    Well done remake, just as good as Dead Space remake or even Final Fantasy 7 remake, same level of detail and dedication! I'm also glad that 90% of the fans seem to agree, that this remake is very good and in most aspects even better than the OG. Of course there's always this small minority that complains about everything, but nobody cares about these losers lol.

    This person even states that he never cared for OG RE4 or even played it and that this is not what he considers RE. Like what?? This is the most popular RE game of all time. And then to say that RE7 (game that feels more like Outlast, than Resident Evil) is more Resident Evil, is just next level ridiculous. This review honestly made me speechless, i had no idea that people like this even exist. I'm serious. RE7, while yes it brought back horror, it hardly ever felt like actual RE game. It was boring hide and seek Outlast clone. Most people like RE games where you actually fight back and fight epic bosses. RE7 bosses are objectively worst in entire series. It was never truly scary either, most of the time, it was just annoying. And RE2, while it was very solid remake, it doesn't hold a candle to both OG RE4 or RE4R. It was always inferior game and that's okay, not everything can be Final Fantasy 7 and RE4 was Resident Evil's FF7 and always will be.

    De maneira geral eu amei as novas mecânicas e o estilo da gameplay. Eles deixam o jogo mais diversificado, te dá novas possibilidades e maneiras de enfreitar os inimigos, aqui o jogo nos permite usar a criatividade em diversos momento .

    Historia do jogo
    A história do jogo foi levemente alterada, digo que o termo "reformulada" se encaixa muito bem, pois ela mantém a essência do original, e acrescenta alguns pontos que não foram abordados ou mostrados no RE4 original. Isso é muito interessante, deixa o jogo mais imersivo, parece que aquilo era para acontecer ali e ser ali. Os documentos, alguns elementos, acontecimentos, inimigos que você enfrenta. Isso tudo faz mais sentido agora, pq aqui tudo foi mais bem pensado e organizado

    Inimigos e chefes
    A Capcom foi bem fiel ao jogo antigo em relação aos inimigos. Mudaram algumas mecânicas de boss fight, alteraram um ou dois chefes (alteração que n achei extremamente valida), adicionaram alguns modelos de inimigos e reformulam outros, adcionaram novos subchefe e manteram quase todos os antigos. Aqui só senti um pouco de criatividade para desenvolverem mais alguns subchefes, talvez um pouco menos de conservadorismo ajudasse nessa questão. Em compensação os infectados em geral estão bem mais agrecivos, bem polidos e inteligentes.

    Cenários e ambientação
    Meu, aqui entregou tudo. Alguns cenários são totalmente iguais ao jogo original, outro com algumas alterações e outros totalmente novos. O que interessa neste ponto, é que foram acrencentados, elementos que nos fazem lembrar que aquilo estava no RE4 original. Dando uma sensação de nostalgia, familiarização e fluidez de game. Alguns cenários foram realmente cortados, mas ao meu ver, são partes que n acrencentam nada a trama, ou que eram cenários tediosos de se jogar. Alguns acontecimentos e cenarios são trocados durante a trama, para se encaixar melhor com os acontecimentos.
    A ambientação está perfeita. O jogo está sombrio em partes que devem ser sombrias, o jogos tem elementos de ação em partes que devem ter ação. Equilibraram muito bem esses dois polos de Resident, pois sempre vimos partes mais sombrias e partes com mais ação e tiroteios na franquia.
    Mais um ponto super positivo, não senti falta dos cenários cortados, a maneira que trabalharam, para aquilo nos passar sentimentos, foi sensacional. Além de ter novos lugares pare explorar.

    Personagens, dialogos, e dublagem
    Pra começar, para mim a dublagem está muito boa. Existem muitas referências brasileiras e modernas, manteram a essência dos personagens com pequenas trocas de falas, e o jeito que os personagens se comunicam uns com os outros.
    Falando em comunicação de personagens, aqui vemos momentos, em que os personagens se comunicam mais uns com os outros, e interagem com o cenário, soltando algum comentário ou interagindo com o mesmo.
    Os personagens estão bem trabalhados, alguns mais desenvolvidos e com mais tempo de tela. E outros do mesmo jeito que sempre foi.
    De maneira geral, mais um ponto positivo aqui, só temos evolução e coisas que acrencentam a história do Remake.


    Qualidade gráfica e performnace
    Que jogo lindo. a riqueza dos detalhes, modelagem, animações, luz, sombra e outros detalhes. Estão todos muito bem trabalhados, tudo nesse jogo se encaixa perfeitamente, e aqui nos gráficos, vemos uma performance muito bem trabalhada, se levamos em conta a qualidade gráfica que jogo nos entrega. O único ponto negativo que senti, foi em relação a um atraso em carregamento de texturas, mas n fois algo que atrapalhou a minha gameplay.
    Os requisitos do meu PC estavam entre o mínimo e o recomendado, rodei tudo no alto e não tive problemas com travamentos.

    Observações finais
    Minha experiência jogando foi sensacional, perfeito, nostálgico e muito frenético.
    Eu amei o jogo em todos os aspectos, a maneira que trabalharam a evolução da história, personagens, cenários e ambientação. Deixaram o jogo perfeito e com desejo de quero mais, mesmo depois de 15h de gameplay. Minha experiência foi ótima.

    Makes me so happy that whenever new RE fans will play RE4, they will ALWAYS play the remake and not the original, simply because Remake is just better version of this game.

    PS: Everyone just ignore fake negative reviews on this and instead look for real reviews on steam. It's overwhelmingly positive on steam with over 50 000 reviews!

    sinceramente amei o jogo ele melhorou quase tudo do antigo e ele esta bem otimizado para o pc consigo rodar muito bem em um pc com 8 de ram e um ryzen 3200g com o gráfico integrado consigo rodar o jogo a base de 60 a 45 fps obrigado capcom só não dou 10 por falta do U3 porque o resto esta bom

    One of the Greatest Remakes of all time, phenomenal masterpiece. 2023 is truly great year for gaming, First Dead Space, then RE4R and then Final Fantasy 16 and if Spider-Man 2 is great as well 2023 is literally one of the best years for gaming ever!

    It's almost sad that i have to say this, but Capcom is one of those very last game developers who actually cares about delivering amazing game, that fans have been waiting for. It would have been so easy for them to make cheap cash grab, but they didn't do that. They actually put hard work into this project.     This game does the first half better than the original, but falters in the second half. The second half was much better in the original. Serious lack of main boss character development is probably this games biggest flaw (along with some iffy RNG in second half) still a great game

    2005 original has always been one of my favorite games, but it was never perfect. Even most amazing games can have flaws and so did RE4. Ashley in OG was absolutely awful, remake improves her in every way. Most boss fights are better in remake. Movement is better in remake. Obviously graphics and so on. This is one of the best remakes ever made.

    I won't write too much. But I can definitely recommend the game to everyone who liked the other remakes. It isn't a complete new game (I mean its a remake) but it changed enough to feel good to play today. For me is absolutely amazing. Can't way for the separate ways dlc and later the next Remake.

    Following the excellent remakes of Resi 2+3 capcom have gone and exceeded all expectations, this is a true 10/10 game and definitely a contender for GOTY, now give us Code Veronica Remake!!!

Go watch digital foundries video's then try different graphic settings. There's definitely some issue's that need patching (Rat Tracing, frame rate, graphic anomalies, even controller delays on series x etc) you can't have these issue's andAbsolutely amazing.     Original was one of the best games of 2000s and one of the best games ever made, but for obvious reasons it is very much outdated by modern standards in 2023. This great remake improves on pretty much all the shortcomings of the Original and is now the best version of RE4!

    This game deserved to be one of the best RE game, also a great remake so far. Although, some sections of the game has cut from the original, still the nostalgic feeling while playing still in the game. Masterpiece!!! By the way, screw the cringey negative scored spammers.

    This remake is literally everything i could have hoped for and possibly wanted, some cut content here and there but overall I feel like this was done to make the pacing go from exceptional to perfect. Definitley in my top 5 games.

As a fan who was introduced to the series from the og Resident evil 2 and has played just about every mainline and spinoff titles, this one may be one of my top 3 games out there, equal or slightly below the RE2 Remake. The game runs buttery smooth on my PS5 and the controls are pretty good, the voice acting from almost everyone is excellent although Ada had a pretty lacking performance. Ashley was way more of an enjoyable character than in the original and the games atmosphere felt a slight bit more eerie than in the original. Where i'd say the original Leon felt very A-lister action movie hero, this new Leon had shown a bit less of that and more of a survivor of traumatic events sort of demeanor, which is a nice change. They did cut some things but i feel they had been cut for good reason, and one i am glad they cut was the Quick Time Events. They were my least favorite part of the og RE4 and i was certainly hoping they would be cut. The re-vamped knife combat was refreshing and the gunplay was so crisp. Overall i think they went above and beyond with this game and i can only hope to see Leon's return in the next Resident Evil game with this new Leon because they have smashed it outta the park.… Expand

    Anyone who is surprised by this low user score, just know that there is no real hate for this game. For example, on Steam it's "Overwhelmingly positive" with over 12 000 reviews. What happened here, seems to be typical review bombing/double fake accounts giving 0's. This game is phenomenal, buy it, play it. Games that are this good release rarely, don't miss it.

My only issue with this remake is some of the content from the original has been cut from the game and Adas voice acting is not good by any means she sounds like she's phone calling in her line's.     Looks very good but the fram rate for moments is a shame, controling Leon is trying to move a sack of potatoes. Seems Capcom puts all they efforts of fluidity only in Leon's hair. Nevertheless it's an awesome new version of the best resident evil ever. I really loved the new Ashley.

    It makes me so happy that whenever new RE fans will play RE4, they will ALWAYS play the remake and not the original, simply because Remake is just better version of this game. OG was obviously phenomenal game and one of my favorites for years, but this remake improves it SO MUCH and that is great, because otherwise this remake would be pointless.

    The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
