    Probably the most overrated remake to come out in quite some time. The original came out almost twenty years ago and it pulled off the narrative better than this. Ada looks extremely adolescent, the blood is rubbery looking, and it doesn't have the grit from the original title. The parry is rubbish and absolutely unnecessary.     Re4 is a good game. It has always been a good game. And I bought it knowing it was a good game. But then capcom added microtransactions. Pay to progress mechanics and added grind. And it really is grind to force purchases. And they did all this after selling millions and the reviews were out which is really really bad on so many levels. And it wasn't necessary.     Decent graphics on top of almost 20y old game. Theres so much shooting that you got tired of it in the last stages of the game. But if you just run through zombies, the game is just short corridor shooter.

    Imagine my dissapointment when i bought a new tv and ps5 cause RE4 was about to come out. Can't believe they managed to bring a game in ps5 that looks worse than Village on ps4. Straight cash grab from Capcom this time. Blurry graphics, bad gun aiming, voice acting worse thatn the original, stuttering textures (see the metal roofs on village's valley and pieces of wood in the houses walls)Imagine my dissapointment when i bought a new tv and ps5 cause RE4 was about to come out.     An overall downgrade from the original accept graphics. Alltough the RE Engine has problems and looks incredibly cheap sometimes. Bad AI, lacking atmosphere, bad acting, modern gaming Last of us controlls and changes that didn't improve anything but only made things different.

    You're much better off playing the Resident Evil 4 Refresh on the PS4 than you are playing this one. It's not a remake of that game, but instead trying to make that game something else. Resident Evil 4 was my favorite in the series which might make the game itself sit a lot weaker for me, so I'll point out all the issues. The difficulty is insane at parts, the knife (which you could soloYou're much better off playing the Resident Evil 4 Refresh on the PS4 than you are playing this one. It has absurd micro transactions and the very small amount of gameplay is apparently the only thing to experience, so certainly better off picking this one up after it hits the discount bin, or not at all.     I would say overall it wasn't a bad may have even leaned toward good remake. Well I could care less about the people that are throwing fits over not looking up skirts I do agree that Adas' voice acting was less than ideal this time in the original she had the younger more vibrantly sarcastic tone but in this one she just kinda sounded flat in some of the line. Bueno para empezar leon dice muchas grosería algo que el león del original jamás diría , calidad de juego baja mucho león se siente pesado cuando de patear me refiero , el la parte del castillo lo alargan mucho tanto que llega a fatigar , eliminación de U3 que venga que era un BOSS de relleno pero su dificultad era increíble , el diálogo extendido de el buhonero , Ashley ,Luis con que me refiero a lo de Luis que el nos enamoro en la entrega original porque era misterioso pero ahora es molestoso al punto que llegue la bajar el volumen al televisor para no escucharle y eso, con esto quiero decir que se acabo el chiste-sito de andar comprando remakes de residente evil.… Expand

    Biggest disappointment of the year so far ,boss fights are disappointing and easy ,no tension or atmosphere , story is not setup ,leon moves like a snail ,so frustrating .

    A lot of things worried me about this game when it was first announced and a lot of those worries were basically confirmed after playing it. I love the original RE4 and it’s fair to say that most people will still feel that this remake doesn’t replace the og no matter how shiny it looks.     Leon controls horrible in this. Just the movement and especially the gun aiming is awful. Purposely unstable to “enhance the horror” of not being able to properly aim. Leon is supposed to be a professional so why is he a wobbly mess? The game even goes further to make this a bigger point in this one compared to the og that Leon went thru a ton of training since RE2 but nope, he can’t aim now. The original felt like the movement and aiming was built around the player so you’d always be in control of the situation, now it’s built around the world and there is no controlling the situation. The knife is a lazy crutch for the devs to claim they added something new and interesting in the game. It works well when it does but it felt like that rarely ever happens. The pacing is awful. The original had so much great dialogue and fun cutscenes that practically got chopped to bits or changed for the worst. Example, isn’t it great how you don’t even get to kill the first villager in the first house at the beginning of the game? Now a cutscene kills him for you. Go down to the basement and kill another and they spoil the later reveal that the las plagas are in their heads. Why? It was such a cool moment in the original when they first started having their heads burst open and the remake devs couldn’t contain themselves. The third act of the remake is worse than the original and longer, while also removing a ton of enemies from the original. Shooting the lake is worse because they don’t know how to blend real time events and instead awkwardly cut to a cutscene. Cutting the fight with U3, the laser rooms, making annoying sidequests. It’s a much bumpier road than the smooth pace of the original.
    The characters are pretty much all worse except Ashley but there wasn’t too much they could change with her except making her bust small and no upskirt to fit with the sensitive times of today especially in an M rated game. Leon is a nervous wreck and talks too much now. Constant Marvel quips during fights are not funny or cool. For as much as people love meme-ing Leon of the original, he only made jokes a couple times throughout the game. The rest of the time he was pretty cool headed about everything. Saddler has a much smaller presence in the game which is a loss and they changed his voice for the worse. He’s not a fun villain anymore, now he’s Bowser from the 90’s Mario Bros movie with Voldemorts voice. Ada is a complete trainwreck, that’s all I need to say. Look up a youtube video of any of her cutscenes and you’ll understand. Luis is uglier and they really ruined his ending. Salazar’s new design is awful. On top of all this they gutted all the conversations on Leon’s radio. But isn’t it cool you get trophies dropping memberberries on some of those radio conversations? No, it’s not.
    The big cheese has a stupid hat, and looks genuinely less scary than the original and more like a big idiot so I don’t understand what happened there. The merchant talks way too much and he doesn’t sound nearly as good as the original guy. Do I even mention how they put in new costumes that all look awful with only a select few being carried over from the original? Of course no white shirt Ashley because that would be offensive and would upset game journalists.
    I’m not happy at all with this game but I’m also glad the original still isn’t replaceable. I don’t like where capcom is going with the Resident Evil franchise since 7 even though I liked it for what it was. It seems like they’re taking it in a very bland and modern day hollywood direction instead of trying to be innovative or creative. If they had put this energy into making a new RE instead of remaking 4, I think I would have liked it more. Now it just seems like an easy cashgrab. Especially true since based of how they end RE4 remake we may not even get a remake of the game that deserves it, Code Veronica, or even RE5 but that game also doesn't need a remake. Just not happy with where things look like they’re going for a series I once loved.    … Expand

    As someone who played the original RE4 at least 20 times this is definitely the way to remake a game. The only reason for the low rating is that Ashley is a huge downgrade. Her witty commentary and constant heavy breathing are annoying and I personally prefer her having a health bar as opposed to her getting hit and just sitting there asking to get hit again.

    this game is good, but I don't like it when they censor the characters, village the tall vampire lady looks good, but Ashly and Ada has a lot of clothes or wearing a sweater because stupid Americans would get easily offended, please release a patch to fix this stupid censorship, just mod the pc version of the original

Basically just a low effort remake to squeeze money out of people who never grew up and stopped playing video games, knowing that this franchise has lifetime long fans who will buy it no matter what.     The rendering delays are disappointing. The visual optimization through the menu is not helping much.
    Also, Ashley's behavioral changes from the original to the remake, have made the latter less enjoyable.

    Unfortunately, this is  a title which carries a certain legacy, and so the expectations are very high. The developers have done a decent job to re-imagine this title, but there is yet a lot to be done. Looking forward to the updates.    … Expand

    Lily Gao is the worse Voice actor to ever voice a character. What the hell is wrong with you capcom that you allowed her to even voice Ada wong. This is Ada wong. You know the one Sally cahill and jolene anderson two of the best to voice Ada wong. Why was Jolene Anderson Replaced!!! Why!!! Do you know how mismatched Ada looks in the Remake. It’s so bad.     My last RE game was RE2 on pc in early 2000s. I thought the remake of 4 will be a good time to pick it up, but after playing it for an hour or 2, I realized I didn't really miss much. This game impresses me as extremely awkward. Is it a third person shooting game? It has guns, but the pistol is weaker than a sling shot, and even shotgun couldn't kill anything efficiently, plus there neverMy last RE game was RE2 on pc in early 2000s. Is it a knife fighting game? Not really, there's isn't much short range attack moves for you to work with. Is it a stealth game? Again, not really. There're some enemies you can kill from behind, but that only makes up like 10% of them tops. So bottomline, I don't know what the **** is this. As a shooting game, it's not snappy and satisfying enough. It's a game you kinda shoot, kinda kick, kinda infiltrate, kinda fight boss, but at the end of day, you just got chased by a bunch of zombies and hope you can find a way to get to the next section. They have over a dozen puzzles in this chapter, have you shift to playing as Ashley in stealth for God sakes, and then when you get past all that, they throw MORE PUZZLES AT YOU.     Chapter 9,destroyed the mystique and intelligent design of the first game, and the game just gets more awful from there. If you want to play the best Resident Evil 4 game ever, play the original Resident Evil 4. These new developers don't understand storytelling, pacing, action, excitement, or the joy of mastering anything.

    PLAY THE ORIGINAL. Graphics don't help mechanics and game design as bad as Chapter 9 and 14. There is a crystal clear, pure, perfect version of this game, and you can buy it remastered for your PS5. Don't bother with this horrific remake. They also don't understand the ammo scarcity of the first game and simply thought "don't put much ammo" was the mechanic. It wasn't. The original Resident Evil 4 game knew how to pace that so that it didn't become so frustrating you turned the game off.

    If this had been the original Resident Evil 4, no one would have heard of it. I'm starting to think modern game designers got their degrees from an unaccredited internet university. You can see the scam this game is by the "critical reviews" and user reviews. When you're starting with a pure 9.3 ranked game, you'd think there's no way to mess that up. But yeah, they did. They took one of the closest-to-perfect games in history and turned it into a mindless 7.8 slog. I hated every minute from chapter 9 on. To the people ranking this slog-fest a "10." Even the original isn't a 10. It's close but not there, so barf and laugh to your reviews. How much did PS pay you?

His run is like a light jog and enemies catch up to him in an instant and land attacks. Speaking of enemies, a lot of them are extremely frustrating to deal with. Playing on hardcore was the worse gaming experience I have ever had and Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 are my favorite games of all time. They tried to make the game hard but went the wrong way about it. The knife is a new major mechanic and it breaks extremely fast, the meele vest from the other has durabilty and after 4-5 hits it breaks and needs to be repaired. They added realism and ruined what makes gaming fun. Capcom is trash and there will probably never be another noteworthy RE game.… Expand

I want to mention the RE Engine, although this game engine was very bad, it didn't make itself noticeable from a woody camera angle like FPS, but when the Re2 remake came out, it slowly became clear how bad this game engine was. The feel of the hit and their physics were very bulky and unresponsive, but due to the structure of Re 2 remake, the zombies already had low artificial intelligence and were not very understood in this game either. The original game was such an active game that even when the remake demo came out, I saw that the RE engine could not withstand this active gameplay and how terrible the mechanics of the game made it. Enemies often don't react when they're hit The TPS camera angle is bad, no one expected it to be as good as the original game anyway, because the original game still has the best TPS mechanics and perspective ever, and there's been no equivalent, there's just been some close ones. Unfortunately, Re4 remake has become one of the games with the worst TPS mechanics ever. As for the gameplay, there is self-defense with a knife in the game, and it definitely doesn't work properly, most of the time you get hit by the enemy, and this raises your nerve level quite a lot. I would like to mention the boss fights, but I will give them a separate place at the end of the review. Now we can move on to the department designs. There are too many sections removed from the original game and it affects the fluency of the game a lot, the village where we started the game interpreted the original game in reverse and we are going the opposite way. As for the castle section, it feels very different from the original game, most of the places have been removed, most of them have been made of terrible designs, most of them feel like a huge empty box. There is nothing to mention in the island section, most of the places have been changed, just like the castle. Unlike the original game, the episode designs do not contribute to the mechanics of the game, soulless designs. Now there is something I want to mention in the original version of Re4. Atmosphere, ambience and music these three things made the ojrnial game one of the best horror games ever in history. Re 4 remake is a disgrace in this regard, even the remake has become a complete action game. Re4 remake is the same action game as Re5. The atmosphere, ambience and music have been completely removed, you are doing nothing but shooting enemies who are flocking to you, and the terrible TPS mechanics of the game make this situation even more difficult. The terrible music has been completely removed. If you play the game in its original sounds, these soundtracks come back, but the fact that the atmosphere of the game is a disgrace negatively affects these soundtracks as well. Now we can come to the boss designs that I mentioned at the beginning of the review. All the bosses in the game repeat the same movements, whose modified designs have become incredibly easy and simple, until the fight is over. Salazar, the krauser bosses have been radically changed and have become a disgrace, I don't even want to talk about salazar in particular. Tactical analysis in bosses, you just need to rain bullets on them with your removed weapons. The bosses show their weak points themselves. As I said, the other bosses are incredibly easy to either do the same moves or jump around, especially the last boss. In addition, one of the best and most iconic bosses of the game, U-3, has been removed from the game. Along with Verdigo, I strongly condemn the makers of the two scariest and most difficult bosses in the Resident evil series. The Verdigo boss is one of the most difficult bosses in the history of the game, you feel almost soulslike desperation, and now that this difficulty has been completely eliminated, you can rain all your bullets on Verdigo. There are a few things I would like to mention one last time. I want to talk about the character modeling of the game. In this game, the photorealistic character graphics continue, and all the characters look so terrible. Separate ways, Assignment Ada and mercenaries are not in the game. We came to the end of our review, the original game was the best game ever in history, Capcom couldn't handle it. If they had pushed a little harder, it would have been a game as outrageous as Re Village and Operation Raccoon City Re 4 remake. As for the rating of the game, 20/100… Expand

    Did not play the original. I do however love RE1-RE3 and RE7. Read the reviews and bout the game! Talked about being scammed! What a boring game, well made but not a RE game. You just run around in a village shouting people they are not even zombies!?
    So I was scammed in to buying this game because of all the fake reviews! This is not a fun game nor a RE game!

    The VA for Ada sounded like she was not interested in the game at all, i do not agree with people going into her social media accounts and insulting her, she was pretty bad at voice acting.
    They changed much of the dialogue and some of the outfits with some of the bonus outfits looking like trash and the censorship was bad. Please play the original if you want to experience the game.

    This remake certainly captures the 'seriously? there's more?' feeling from the original, which is one of the pieces I wish they'd left behind. RE4 is always wanting to go bigger, go more outlandish, and get more ridiculous, almost to the detriment of the experience. RE4 is not scary, but, more offensively, it's not even fun.

    Leon turns like a bus and feels like he's on ice skates. Sprinting is infinitesimally faster than just walking. Ashley's pathing was coded in DOS in 1988. The setting sucks and the levels are usually a straight shot from entrance to exit. The battle arenas are obvious when you walk into them and are usually built around you training the enemies so you can eventually run right past them to the exit. There are bizarre vehicle sections that offer the player almost nothing aside from the headache of having to use the least navigable map of all time.

    Many people will like the illusion of open linearity and the opportunity to really fight instead of scavenge and survive, but I'm not many people. I don't go to RE for the action set pieces or the third person shooting galleries (which you can find in every other game now), I go to RE for the horror. The dark, cramped hallways with fakeout enemies. Crawling under floorboards while your captor walks above. Scavenging every last bit of ammo just to try to clear the next enemy and survive another few minutes.

    I don't come here for the backflips, the quips, the military arsenal, the bad lighting, the dull atmosphere, the nameless, faceless enemies, the stupid "plaga" that is somehow less interesting than the dumb fungus from the new trilogy, escort missions, catapults that make an entire section of the game unplayable, CoD zombies simulations, idle weapon sway (speaking of CoD), weapon bloom, low-res textures in/on the castle, and Leon's **** side part.

    Resident Evil 4, then and now, is not a good Resident Evil game. Its success seems more a remnant of the 2000s video game zeitgeist when it was cool to pack as much schlock into your games as possible. It was the game that ushered many of us from gaming nascency to adolescence so the nostalgia is fair...

    ...but that doesn't excuse the game for still being a boring, bloated, middling third-person shooter that wants to be Gears of War more than it wants to be a RE game.

    If there was one thing I liked, it was that Leon's hands shook in the early chapters of the game. That's it.

    Many see RE4 as the apex of the series, as a rebound from 3, and as a peak that was never reached until 7. For me, RE4 is the disappointment that proves that RE2 and RE7 are lightning in a bottle. It's the continuation of the downslide started by RE3.

    This is a good game, but waiting for a next remake is very long. I have always hated the plot of 4, and it's no different here. Lily Gao is literally THE WORST voice actor to ever voice a character. What the hell is wrong with you Capcom that you allowed her to even voice Ada!? The even WORST thing this costs 60$ dollars!

    The graphics are blurry and has glitches on the ps5. Capcom never fix this despite people voicing out their concerns from the demo! There are also some minor frame rate issues.

    There are countless great set pieces that are balanced to perfection in the original, but when replicated in the remake, most of those set pieces don't even come close. Set pieces were crucial to strength of Resi 4, and when the 1st Village encounter was far worse here in the Remake, I was deeply worried.
    Just the basic combat encounter design alone is no way near as strong as the original.
    It's take skill, vision, balancing & tuning to make fun shooter combat, but Capcom has often failed in that regard.
    You also get enemies who appear & grab you from behind with no indication, frequent generic combat, and some bosses that will exploit that the player doesn't have an always availble dodge move.

    The Music is far worse, and most of the new characters are bad ( except for the Merchant who is still good.)

    There's long periods of down time just traversing, which shows problems with pacing. This game is about 10 hours longer than the original, and they filled that extended length with padding, bad puzzles, long boring traversal and general filler.

    I played Resi 4 - 3 times just 2 months ago to prepare and be able to make a comparison. I'm now half way though my 2nd playthrough of the Remake and I'm sort of bored allready.

    The physics in this game are trash. When you roundhouse kick a zombie, the physics are identical to Ubisoft's garbage physics. It's even worse when you kick them off ledges. It looks like I'm knocking off chess pieces and luggage. As always, Capcom fails to add attention to detail you would expect from a AAA $60 game. I couldn't take a rifle from a wall mount in real-time. The briefcases magically open themselves. When I kick a barrel, the one next to it magically breaks. Not to mention the destruction of the barrels and boxes are PS2 quality. There is barely any splash when shooting the water. The voice acting is lame. The merchant's and Ada's voice are much worse than the original. Side missions are terrible. The level design is a joke and so are the puzzles.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to play this game again. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. Mercenaries is confirmed to come out next month, although there is no confirmation on multiplayer. Even if there is multiplayer for Mercenaries, that's not going to cut it. I'd rather play Raid mode or PvP. We used to get like half a dozen game modes, and now these developers are so greedy and lazy to give me just one at launch. This "New Game plus" trend is the most pathetic, cheapest and laziest attempt at replay value ever. 60 freaking dollars, I expect more at that ridiculous price. I only recommend this game at $10 or wait until it's free on PS Plus.    … Expand

Beat RE 4 OG a dozen times on GC, PS2, WII, PS3, PS4, and PS5. Currently on Chapter 13 of the Remake and I really don't want to continue.

    Aiming is horrible. They removed the laser-aim that was available with all weapons in the OG.
    AI is brutally tough and unfair. Remake on Standard difficulty is harder than Pro mode in OG. I died 35 times in OG Pro, 75 times in Remake, Stan.
    Ton of super tedious puzzles that are based on trial-and-error. Wasted hours on stupid puzzles. Puzzles in OG were mostly fun, quick, and logical.
    Graphical glitches. Screen tearing, low-res and blurry textures, black screens, pop-in, etc.
    Weapons lack the oomph of OG.
    Sound effects suck.
    Removed decapitations from OG. WTF. You can't decapitate enemies via suplexes, or bullets to the face like the original. The shotgun, handgun, and riffle have all been nerfed in Remake. Far weaker and feel like toys instead of real guns like OG that pack a serious wallop.
    Poor voice acting.
    PC plot. No ballistics, overtime, or checking out Ashley's bits. I loved the campy humor and one-liners from OG.
    Music is crap. Not a single standout track. Of course, if you want the original soundtrack you need to fork over an extra $10 on the Deluxe Edition. Crapcom doing what is does best.
    You need to spend money repairing your knife and body armor. WTF. imagine spending 100,000+ simply on repairing basic items. In the OG, both your knife and body armor were indestructible from the start.    … Expand

They removed the Separate Ways mode with Ada, Assigment Ada as well. The game is very bad the crosshairs are no longer laser and the recoil of the weapons are exaggerated the crosshairs go up to the sky nothing to see this does not exist in real life. Resident Evil 2 3 and 4 remake follow the same pattern, right? It's the same bad pattern, the same bad gameplay sometimes terrible and annoying. These games now are not like the ones they used to be. Resident Evil 1 remake remains the best in the series as well as as good as the original Resident Evil 4 is so much so that the original's world score is now at 96 worldwide considering the current remake's score is lowering players' scores worldwide . The gameplay is boring, they took a lot of locations and monsters from the original game. The game is terrible, very bad unfortunately I don't recommend it...     Man the voice work is horrible on the ears. Still missing a really good boss from the OG. Game feels all over the place and doesn't feel great. Laser aiming is gone. Humor is gone. Voice acting is bad all the way across the board. It's even woke in areas. It's a pretty sad little remake.

    This game is harder than a dark souls game I don't think it's fun to die 5 times in every area.

    It lacks optimization, it is impossible to play it and I have a 1500 dollar PC, it should run fine like any game I have even with better graphics than RE4

From RE2 to RE3 in the 90s, to 5 years later RE4 a game that was on a league of its own when it comes to RE games graphics and looked better than most games in its generation, and then doing it again with RE5 who looked better in every area than    Terrible art style, terrible characters models, bad graphics.

Now Capcom is trash when it comes to that, there's barely any difference from RE2 to RE4 remake, on top of that these new games have terrible art style like I said which makes things even worse, you can barely see anything in certain locations, and of course its because Capcom doesn't want us to look at the terrible RE Engine textures, extremely lazy.

    Leon and Ada are the same trash models from RE2. Original RE4 and RE6 Leon and Ada models are SO MUCH better. Remember when Capcom kept making new models for every new RE game but no one cared because they were all amazing? It's a good thing to have the same models returning but only when they are good, the thing is that Leon and Ada from RE2 are trash. Luis and Wesker models are trash too. They took everything that made those characters cool.

    The voice of acting of those characters are also terrible. RE voice acting was great in the late 2000s, back when every character looked and sounded memorable. What happened? We know using the same things again isn't a issue for Capcom, as they have been using many of the assets they created for RE7 in every single new RE game, and that's why the new RE games look so cheap. So why not use the same voice actors from the past? Those cheap **** are trying to save as much money as possible, no wonder most of the new RE games are mostly just a copy and paste. Same trash art style for every single new RE game, same trash character models, same assets for 4 games in a row. But they can't bring back the voices that made those characters popular, no, that's too much for them. Maybe they are trying to save money with that too, and it's less expensive to bring new people to do the voice acting, who knows.

    But of course dudes are giving 10 to this trash, because they don't understand gaming. This is just the new generation, the same dogs who think Fortnite is good, they don't know when a game is actually good because they haven't played any.

    Gun sounds are terrible. Amount of cut content are terrible. Leon movement animations are terrible.

    Leon in the original was extremely stylish like Dante, literally every single animation of Leon was created to make him as stylish and cool as possible, which suited his personality very well. Now Leon personality is changed to worse, and theres literally 0 stylish things about him, even the spinning kick looks dumb as **** but his movement is just the worst.

    This game is going to be hyped for about 2 months and then everyone is going to forget about it, it will never be a classic that people kept playing for 20 years like the original.    … Expand

    The game is really cool, in all aspects, they've expanded the storyline and added new resources, and given life to the characters to interact naturally. Overall, this game is 9/10 for me, my only criticism is that you have to pay for playing with Ada and Wesker and upgrade weapons and other items easily.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Did you guys like Dante from Ninja Theory? DMC is a good game, but it's pretty bad when compared with the original series, right? The same happens here. Leon is a TEEN now. He has a teenager's voice and a younger appearance. And talking about appearance, his design is wrecked. In some angles, he looks like he has mumps and looks like he fried for 12 hours per day in the sun. He can't shut his mouth during the gameplay and can't stop making mean jokes. He looks angry all the time, always edgy like Dante from Ninja Theory was. Original Leon is always calm, always confident with a side smile. He looks mature and much more well-designed. He tells jokes but always with a serene tone because he's super secure and badass, like Dante from Capcom is. Remake Leon is totally the opposite. He's perfect for this new edgy teenager generation who likes to listen to Phonk all day long, dreaming about becoming a man they never will. The voice of the ganados is trash. They kinda talk now; there's almost no harshness in their voices like they used to have in the original. Saddler is an old grandpa and looks feeble now with his bald ass head and generic villain personality. Perfect for a cartoon villain. Ada sounds like my 56-year-old aunt. Salazar looks like my grandma but 5 feet shorter. And Krauser's voice sounds forced, unnatural. It looks like the game was made by interns. And the guns. OMG, the guns. It feels like total plastic. No recoil, no satisfying sound. It feels like you're firing sponges. Nothing like in the original. The only good points in this game are the graphics and physics.     The story of the game is a mediocre story, the gameplay is very enjoyable and attractive, in terms of visuals, it is equal to Cross Gen 2023 games and has a stunning visual, the main boss fights are very similar to each other. The sound design of the game is wonderful, the enemies have a good variety and only one new type of enemy has been added to the remake compared to the original version.

    Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
