It may not be a huge step up from last year's PS4 release but Nioh 2 Remastered - The Complete Edition is a great edition of a fantastic game that fans and newcomers alike will love. That is; if they can handle its high degree of challenge.

A commendably opulent remastering of one of the PlayStation 4's better action RPGs, Nioh 2 Remastered: The Complete Collection is the best way to play Team Ninja's furious, Soulslike sequel. That said, even on PS5 Nioh 2 Remastered still inherits the flaws from its original PS4 incarnation, such as overly punishing difficulty and repetitive design. Regardless though, for those new to Nioh 2, there really is no better time to get stuck into the game - just make sure that you've finished the first game beforehand; otherwise you're in for pain. A lot of pain.

Very good entertainment with a faceted battle system. It looks and feels great on PlayStation 5.

It may very well have the best combat I've ever experienced in a game. The combat is strategic; it's not a button masing hack and slash. Because there are several weapons and each have distinct attacks you can do, the game offers a great variety approaches you can take, and the combat is so fluid and responsive. Enemy design and variety are great, the art style of the levels is fantastic, and the gameplay is addicting. All the gameplay mechanics can be a little confusing at first, but you'll get a hang of them. It's definitely a challenging game. I'd say it's harder than Dark Souls, but easier than Sekiro. I think Nioh 2 is the best souls-like game. I highly recommend it. Expand

Expand

Seems to be a bit more difficult, which is why I recommend playing this one after you take a break from the first one. I love it but I couldn't jump into it after the first one. It's a masterclass in gameplay, bloodborne seems a joke after playing Nioh.

    Nioh ¿2?

    JUGABILIDAD:

Welp. I beat the game. Nobody actually played past the first level who gave this game a good review. It feels like an absolute prank, theWelp. I beat the game. Nobody actually played past the first level who gave this game a good review. It feels like an absolute prank, the enemies are damage sponges and you die in 1 hit no matter what. That's right, the entire game, no progression, just as weak as you were at level 1, when youre level 1 3 0. (And fighting the same boring enemies too!)Have fun. It is one of the worst progressions ive felt in a video game in my life. Absolutely unbelievable. This is the most insultingly bad attempt at "difficulty" I have ever seen. Die in one hit no matter what = "balancing" lol learn how to design a game before designing one? Maybe? Its literally one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. Which is a shame, cus the combat is pretty decent with its cool combo system. But just awfully executed with everything that surrounds it. Just an absolute painful experience that is not fun. There is no balance or sense of progression (not to mention lack of proper story, actually pretty insulting to actual historical events, completely changes Hideyoshi into a figure to be revered rather than a slaughterer of Koreans). Just really dissapointing. Idk. Just really sad game design, feels maliciously designed badly on purpose at points. (OH AND the DLC is INSULTINGLY bad, I'm talking the worst boss fights I've ever experienced in 20+years gaming, just completely unplaytested trash that feels like cut content) Expand
