    It's definitely overatted at this point. I had more fun with brawlhalla and all its items than this game. This game is more of a button masher than any other brawl style game that I've ever played. I played against opponents with fully kitted perks, this game is definitely pay to win.

    I can see where people can enjoy this game. With a fun roster of characters and more variations in play, fans should enjoy playing. However, if you are coming to this as a fan of Smash Bro’s and expecting a similar experience, curb your expectations. The gameplay feels slow and clunky. Character movements don’t feel easy to control while getting into combat. Attacking in the air keeps youI can see where people can enjoy this game. With a fun roster of characters and more variations in play, fans should enjoy playing. However, if you are coming to this as a fan of Smash Bro’s and expecting a similar experience, curb your expectations. The gameplay feels slow and clunky. Character movements don’t feel easy to control while getting into combat. Attacking in the air keeps you floating for so long which made air strikes difficult to land at times. On the plus side, some mechanics with support type characters were a fun addition and got me excited to try it. The game, like many others in this modern day, includes a battle pass and in game micro transactions to buy cosmetics. While the inspiration is clearly Smash, the execution leaves an amount to be desired. Perhaps I am being too comparative but it is a road block in the game for me. Some gamers will enjoy this and will have a lot of fun, however, if you are looking for the next Smash style game, perhaps it will be best to stick with the classic.… Expand

    early access? cool characters, they could put them into a real game. right now it's not much fun for me. lost 1, won 2.

    While its better then the trash fire that is nick all stars, it isnt great. There is no single player modes outside of training. The controls are clunky. Its glitchy. Hit boxes are funky. And it uses the **** free to play model like moble games. Its just not fun.

    Unbalanced af, hitboxes work when when they feel like it, servers are laggy most times. The only saving grace for this game is the fact that it is free lol

    I really wanted to like this game. I played the beta and I tried to give it chance after chance. Let me start off by saying the characters are the best part about the game. Even the character designs (not gameplay). They look and have some of the same voices of the characters we know and love. Which is great.

    Now, There are fighting games on Playstation 2 that plays way better than this game. Better soundtrack, better effects, better ui, just all around better. Truth is there are no exuses for how bad this game is. You can see the potential when playing this game but devs either dont care enough or this game was never meant to be taken serious. There are so many glitches. There are new glitches in every patch note.

    The microtransactions are ruining the experience because the game is grindy. I wouldve rather the game be 40-50 dollars for everything and we pay for dlc, etc. But no 30 dollars for 1 character and 1 skin.

    There isnt a block button just a dodge, and every attack or special's end animation can be canceled with a dodge or another attack/special. So pretty much matches is just a mash fest. I have been saying this game need more defensive options ever since I first played it. The devs arent even fighting game devs they came from League Of Legends. So how they nerf overpowered attacks/specials is by giving it cooldown like its a moba game. The hit boxes and hurt boxes are all over the place and inconsistent.

    Some of the sound effects are literally ripped from smash like the baseball bat sound effect. And the sound effects and soundtracks are so bad. The menu screen is lazy. There is so much to complain about. The game is a mess. Its been out for almost a year now and its still just as bad as when I first played it. Now I have a feeling this game will shut down and I really wish they couldve done it right.    … Expand

    Good game play but 20$ for a skin is disrespectful. Battle pass offers no in game premium currency, yes premium because there are two different types of currencies. The grind to upgrade characters is too long with little reward. No real incentive to play this game because you are just grinding towards no end no story and they drip feed character releases.     Matchmaking is completely broken. I like a hard game, I don't mind getting my ass beaten by a tough opponent, but there's no joy in a game where most of my matches are with players who are 10+ levels above me. That's not a fight, that's a bloodbath. Case in point, just unlocked Batman, so went into the fight with level 1. Got matched with Finn at level 19. Wasn't really a fair fight. BeenMatchmaking is completely broken. I like a hard game, I don't mind getting my ass beaten by a tough opponent, but there's no joy in a game where most of my matches are with players who are 10+ levels above me.     This game just feels like a copy of brawlhalla which i'm already not a huge fan of. some of the characters were alright but most of them were just boring reskins of brawlhalla. just not a fun game even when playing with friends.

    MultiVersus is fun and has everything it needs to succeed. The responsive gameplay, even with flaws, remains its main attraction. The cast is very well put together, and their abilities align with the backstory of each one of them, adding more immersion to the proposal.

    MultiVersus' return is a platform fighter that, while still fun as it used to be, decided to start from scratch, removing useful features and making its life more difficult than it had to.
