    It's good, but it does lack the variety of Smash Bros. Lots of characters but the grind to get them (in the free version obviously) is nuts. The game is laden up the wazoo with in-game purchases so beware of that, the best stuff is locked behind real-world cash. Besides that, there is a good amount of strategy to apply and it's hecking fun to beat up Wonder Woman with Jake the dog.

    The game is fantastic, it does get a bit grindy unlocking some of the characters but it is a f2p game so that's understandable. The multiverse the characters have created is fantastic and im excited for the future roster to arrive. The game play is smooth and exciting. It's still in open beta, and I can't wait what the games going to look like 6months or even a year from now.

    But this game have a REAL PROBLEMS with balance, is like yes summary level of you teem and enemy team, but lemme explain...     Very cool game, fun and holds you for hours.Variety of characters, I just didn't like the time you have to collect currency, or pay with cash.

    This game is a solid Smash clone with a few unique changes that actually improve gameplay, such as cooldowns and attacking getting weaker if used over and over again, forcing players to use variety. It's fine as is right now, with good characters, albeit nothing really to play for except a meh Battle Pass. But since it is a game as a service, I expect this game to improve vastly overtime.This game is a solid Smash clone with a few unique changes that actually improve gameplay, such as cooldowns and attacking getting weaker if used over and over again, forcing players to use variety.     Fun game! Best free to play in a while. Every character has a unique moveset and they clearly put a lot attention in designing these. Don't listen to playpod , he is obviously a noob, there is nothing wrong with the hitboxes nor do we need a single player mode. The controls are fine to although you need to be a master in using your joystick. But if you have played fighting games before ,Fun game! Best free to play in a while. As a matter of fact, they didn't charge me anything for this game. This game is free. It is very fun to beat up Tom, because it never gets old hearing him scream during his ringout.     The voice acting is very dynamic. The character selection is off to a good start. The moves of the characters fit them well, especially for Shaggy. I love it when my games reference memes, it makes me laugh quite a bit. If I could suggest one character for this game, I would suggest Daffy Duck? I would love to play as him alongside Taz. Speaking of Taz, his animations are incredibly made.

    There is both online and local multiplayer. I hope these developers add visual hit boxes during practice mode. That way, I can learn how to accurately beat up my opponents with any character of my choice. I appreciate that this game doesn't rely too much on pretty colorful lights everywhere like Smash, to make the game more fun. I hope the developers adjust fix the hitboxes in an update. This game is free, so I suggest it to all!    … Expand

    It's definitely overatted at this point. I had more fun with brawlhalla and all its items than this game. This game is more of a button masher than any other brawl style game that I've ever played. I played against opponents with fully kitted perks, this game is definitely pay to win.

However, if you are coming to this as a fan of Smash Bro’s and expecting a similar experience, curb your expectations. The gameplay feels slow and clunky. Character movements don’t feel easy to control while getting into combat. Attacking in the air keeps youI can see where people can enjoy this game. With a fun roster of characters and more variations in play, fans should enjoy playing. However, if you are coming to this as a fan of Smash Bro’s and expecting a similar experience, curb your expectations. The gameplay feels slow and clunky. Character movements don’t feel easy to control while getting into combat. Attacking in the air keeps you floating for so long which made air strikes difficult to land at times. On the plus side, some mechanics with support type characters were a fun addition and got me excited to try it. The game, like many others in this modern day, includes a battle pass and in game micro transactions to buy cosmetics. While the inspiration is clearly Smash, the execution leaves an amount to be desired. Perhaps I am being too comparative but it is a road block in the game for me.     While its better then the trash fire that is nick all stars, it isnt great. There is no single player modes outside of training. The controls are clunky. Its glitchy. Hit boxes are funky. And it uses the **** free to play model like moble games. Its just not fun.

With the exception of a few YouTube clips and the live action theatrical movies, I have not watched Scooby-Doo in over 40 years, but I highly doubt Shaggy ever had superpowers. This is clearly the developer's pathetic attempt at making the game memeworthy for relevance. Where is Daffy Duck? I would rather have him than annoying Taz. Speaking of Taz, the developers were too cheap and lazy to give him proper spinning animations. The player movement is PS2-like.

    Easily the best non-Smash platform fighter I've ever played--take it from someone who played the alpha just a few months ago. It's easy to tell from the upgradable/customizable characters and justice done to each IP on display here that this is most certainly NOT some rushed licensed game like others of its ilk.

    HOWEVER I do have some qualms about the reward progression system, because    Easily the best non-Smash platform fighter I've ever played--take it from someone who played the alpha just a few months ago. It's easy to tell from the upgradable/customizable characters and justice done to each IP on display here that this is most certainly NOT some rushed licensed game like others of its ilk.

    HOWEVER I do have some qualms about the reward progression system, because at the time of writing its slow as molasses. I get that WB is pushing this thing as a F2P experience (and don't get me wrong it's a fine example of one at that), but it still feels unfair to casual players like myself.

    Despite that, I'd definitely recommend giving MultiVersus a shot. Looking past the corporate greed that most freemium games entail, the developers truly cared about making a game that feels polished and FUN to play, which is something to be said considering its still in the beta phase.

    Also you can pit Jake the Dog against a Game of Thrones character in the Batcave. How can I not give it a near-perfect score on those terms alone??    … Expand

    A game doesn't have to be perfect, it must be fun and make a 'click' for some players. This is the case Multiversus: A new game with some improvements to be done, but as is the game currently, it's fresh, fun and with a lot of replayability.

    Unbalanced af, hitboxes work when when they feel like it, servers are laggy most times. The only saving grace for this game is the fact that it is free lol

    I don't know there will be an Story mode or not, but the Game does not necessarily need it if you like to play PVP or Couch Coop with you friends.
    If there will be more PVP modes, more Characters and stays balanced, it will be the best alternative to Super Smash bros. on different Platforms so far. Since    Really fantastic Game, with a good deep fighting System and interesting Characters.

    I really wanted to like this game. I played the beta and I tried to give it chance after chance. Let me start off by saying the characters are the best part about the game. Even the character designs (not gameplay). They look and have some of the same voices of the characters we know and love. Which is great.

    Now, There are fighting games on Playstation 2 that plays way better than this game. Better soundtrack, better effects, better ui, just all around better. Truth is there are no exuses for how bad this game is. You can see the potential when playing this game but devs either dont care enough or this game was never meant to be taken serious. There are so many glitches. There are new glitches in every patch note.

    The microtransactions are ruining the experience because the game is grindy. I wouldve rather the game be 40-50 dollars for everything and we pay for dlc, etc. But no 30 dollars for 1 character and 1 skin.

    There isnt a block button just a dodge, and every attack or special's end animation can be canceled with a dodge or another attack/special. So pretty much matches is just a mash fest. I have been saying this game need more defensive options ever since I first played it. The devs arent even fighting game devs they came from League Of Legends. So how they nerf overpowered attacks/specials is by giving it cooldown like its a moba game. The hit boxes and hurt boxes are all over the place and inconsistent.

    Some of the sound effects are literally ripped from smash like the baseball bat sound effect. And the sound effects and soundtracks are so bad. The menu screen is lazy. There is so much to complain about. The game is a mess. Its been out for almost a year now and its still just as bad as when I first played it. Now I have a feeling this game will shut down and I really wish they couldve done it right.    … Expand

It has the same issues every game of this genre has, but there is a lot of potential here.     Good game play but 20$ for a skin is disrespectful. Battle pass offers no in game premium currency, yes premium because there are two different types of currencies. The grind to upgrade characters is too long with little reward. No real incentive to play this game because you are just grinding towards no end no story and they drip feed character releases.     The best smash clone out there. While the combo system needs a bit of tweeking and the connectivity issues are present, it is hard to deny the bones are of high quality. The focus on team play give this game its true flavor. Be prepared for a slower paced more tactical feel from smash bros. The business model seems fair too, you can unlock characters at a decent pace, about 1-3 hours ofThe best smash clone out there.     Matchmaking is completely broken. I like a hard game, I don't mind getting my ass beaten by a tough opponent, but there's no joy in a game where most of my matches are with players who are 10+ levels above me. That's not a fight, that's a bloodbath. Case in point, just unlocked Batman, so went into the fight with level 1. Got matched with Finn at level 19. Wasn't really a fair fight. BeenMatchmaking is completely broken. I like a hard game, I don't mind getting my ass beaten by a tough opponent, but there's no joy in a game where most of my matches are with players who are 10+ levels above me. That's not a fight, that's a bloodbath. Case in point, just unlocked Batman, so went into the fight with level 1. Got matched with Finn at level 19. Wasn't really a fair fight. Been playing for five days, maybe 20% of my matches have been with players who are +/- 3 levels, all the rest have been widely disproportionate, usually the difference is in the double digits.… Expand

    I’ve never been much into platform fighters as I’ve been more into Mortal Kombat or Injustice. But this game is my favorite fighting game to date. All the crossovers that they have now and can have in the future is amazing and has me excited.     As far as fighting games go we're talking the top, top echelon when it comes to Multiversus. There are lots of bugs (bunnies) to be ironed out, lots of QoL changes that need to be made, and a million other things can be said about the balance but what's important is this is far closer to Smash Bros. than Nick All Star Brawl, and with Gizmo coming out soon it looks like there's a lot moreAs far as fighting games go we're talking the top, top echelon when it comes to Multiversus. If you compare the worst nick character to the best there is a noticeable gap but not a impossible one, in Multiversus you have to be 3x better to beat a high tier as a low tier.     Servers are still horrible weeks after release. Combat system is not as good as similar games. If you want to play as your favourite character play Nickelodeon All Stars instead.

    This game is ok i guess, for new players it is very easy to get into and coming from other fighting games in the genre would already make you good at this. It feels really floaty and the hit boxes are kind of weird at times.

    Debo admitir que esta genial, se ha vuelto de los juegos que mas he jugado en corto plazo pero con el paso del tiempo he ido notando algunas cosas. Primero, la comunidad: es la comunidad mas toxica que he conocido en todos los juegos que he jugado, me han llegado a vacilar por ganarme (con buggs bunny spammeando martillo y patada voladora, como no). El juego esta COMPLETAMENTEDebo admitir que esta genial, se ha vuelto de los juegos que mas he jugado en corto plazo pero con el paso del tiempo he ido notando algunas cosas. Primero, la comunidad: es la comunidad mas toxica que he conocido en todos los juegos que he jugado, me han llegado a vacilar por ganarme (con buggs bunny spammeando martillo y patada voladora, como no). El juego esta COMPLETAMENTE DESBALANCEADO: en cada parche cambian las estadísticas de el roster y los jugadores/comunidad optan por usar a los mas rotos de esta. Otro tema del que hablar son las hitboxes: son horribles, en ocasiones me han atacado hacia el lado contrario de mi personaje y me han terminado haciendo daño igualmente.

    Resumen: Buen juego para jugarlo casualmente, pero para jugarlo competitivamente, que es lo que he intentado, desde mi punto de vista te va a sacar de quicio por el desequilibrio que hay y por bugs. 5/10    … Expand

    Buen juego de la categoría de luchas tipo Smash, con buena cantidad de personajes conocidos. No obstante, no termina de conseguir la esencia de este tipo de juegos. Gracias a las futuras actualizaciones será un juego mucho más completo y disfrutable.

    When you look past that the game is different from smash bros, it becomes a lot more special. It may not be the best game of all time, but the developer support and the constant addition of new skins and wacky characters will definitely keep the game running for many years to come. This is one of the best smash like games of all time, right behind Rivals of Aether.

    This game just feels like a copy of brawlhalla which i'm already not a huge fan of. some of the characters were alright but most of them were just boring reskins of brawlhalla. just not a fun game even when playing with friends.

    The game isn't bad, but the controllers mechanics are HORRIBLE. I don't care if its inspired by Smash Bros, all I cared was the gameplay and honestly I wish there were more characters. Maybe they could add more when it returns in 2024, but hopefully they fix the mechanics.

    MultiVersus is fun and has everything it needs to succeed. The responsive gameplay, even with flaws, remains its main attraction. The cast is very well put together, and their abilities align with the backstory of each one of them, adding more immersion to the proposal.

    MultiVersus' return is a platform fighter that, while still fun as it used to be, decided to start from scratch, removing useful features and making its life more difficult than it had to.
