Create your pot, grab your friends, and join a team of colorful spirits who face off against one another in online arenas, where the ceramic creations you sculpt on a pottery wheel become the bodies you bring into battle.

The shape of your pots affect your attributes and your play-style. Will you be big, or small? Wide, or tall? Will you make a plate, a jug, a cup or a bowl?

There are a multitude of different sizes and combinations to discover, each with unique abilities and attacks, along with new and surprising ways to play. Work together to find the best combination of pots and play-styles to breakthrough enemy lines, and collect enough water to douse the flames of the enemy

Kiln is a delightful and brilliant blend of player-driven creativity, melee brawler combat, and MOBA map design. Though it may be slightly lacking on content, it's a great game to unwind with, or to fire up with the family.

Making your own pots in Kiln using the ever-growing range of options is delightful, truly allowing you to express yourself. And it's fun to take your pots into battle too, at least for a while. With just one match type currently available, Quench, things can soon get a little repetitive.

In some ways, Kiln is a return to a simpler time. There are no microtransactions or a battle pass trying to monetize your time. Double Fine has created a straightforward experience, which has both positive and negative aspects. However, it's undeniable that Kiln lacks content. While there's a promise of more maps and pottery in the future, at the moment there aren't many reasons to stick with this experience. At this point, Double Fine's work is perfect for Xbox Game Pass. You can jump in, have fun with your friends, and move on with your life without looking back.

Much like the pottery it's based on, Kiln is a game that has some creativity but is pretty empty on the inside.
