    had tone of fun with the game
    graphics are amazing, facial animation is next gen for me, story is fine and there is more side stuff to do than you can count

    This is without any questions a very beautiful game, robots design is a masterpiece! But it lacks so much in everything else. Boring grinding, annoying sidequests, uninteresting characters and poorly presented story. It is just plain boring to play this game...

    I loved first game. Bought hfw. But my mistake was that first I played elden ring so after elden ring I tried to play this. Oh it was so bad compared to elden ring could not force my self to play it longer then few hours.

    Conclusion super boring game. but i loved first one so much. so had to sell it. maybe one day i try it again

Unbelievable that companies can continue to charge 70 dollars and launch a product that is in this state. Some may find this playable, but it’s so distracting to me it’s unplayable.     I used to just buy video games on a whim. Even if the game had problems, most of the time I never really had a reason to evaluate my game buying decision before a purchase. I never even thought I would make a video game review. How on earth is this game an 88 right now? The 8.2 from the users is less believable. The controls are so clunky. Aloy stops to fart everytime she grabs a ladder or climbable object. The pullcaster animation looks so bad. Everything just feels mediocre. There is none of the fluidity here that I found in Uncharted. The combat is ok, fighting robotic predators is pretty trippy and enjoyable at times. Aloy is an awesome looking character, and she has the potential to be a cultural icon in video games like Lara Croft or Samus or even Jill Valentine. But holy moly do they lay on the scorned high school girl attitude thick. How am I supposed to care about anything she says when she speaks like what she is saying doesn't matter? She either needs to hydrate more or develop better breathing habits, because she is always out of breath. She cuts people off, uses such childish body language and actually grrrrr's when frustrated. You had it, studio whoever. You had it. A really compelling leading female character. But instead of giving her a character arch, depth, and empathetic dialogue with NPC's, I am cringing every cutscene or dialogue moment. Do real people actually have conversations like they do in this game? Do AAA devs now just get a budget to project their childhood trauma onto unwitting consumers? It's so bad. I don't think that this game is a zero. I don't. Zero would be the game not even working. But there is no way anyone operating in good faith would give this a 10. This is why its important to read the words when looking at reviews. The video game industry is now on the same path (and probably has been for a while) as the rest of our entertainment and even just our overall culture, just circling the toilet drain.… Expand

    THIS is how a sequel is done correctly, especially on a new next-gen device, it takes full advantage of the PlayStation 5 for ultrarealistic graphics, instant/fast loading times, smooth animations that don't take ages and on top great variety in combat *chefs kiss*

    NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR PS5. I didn’t even get past the tutorial area. The fidelity mode is unplayable due to a nauseating 30fps (a barbaric benchmark that shouldn’t even be allowed as a target frame rate in next gen games) and then we have the half-assed performance mode. The 60fps is great but your compromise is terrible graphics. It’s like playing on medium pc settings with ZERONOT ACCEPTABLE FOR PS5. I didn’t even get past the tutorial area. The fidelity mode is unplayable due to a nauseating 30fps (a barbaric benchmark that shouldn’t even be allowed as a target frame rate in next gen games) and then we have the half-assed performance mode. The 60fps is great but your compromise is terrible graphics. It’s like playing on medium pc settings with ZERO anti-aliasing and MAX sharpness so everything looks super noisy and jittery and sharp; honestly, it’s like I’m playing in 720p. To add to it, the colors are very muted when the camera is still but when turning they pop in all rich and vibrant and then go back to being dull when you stop turning. This is all so jarring and totally takes you out of the experience which means both modes are unplayable at least for me. This is a huge step backwards and totally unacceptable for PS5. I’ve played Demons Souls remake, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Spider-Man Miles Morales, all these games have excellent graphics AND frame rate. What Horizon Forbidden West has done here is just unacceptable. This is most definitely a PS4 game we are playing, and the PS5 version they want to charge $70 for is absolutely not worth it. Horizon Zero Dawn looks better in performance mode than this crap. What happened to the checkerboard rendering of the PS4 era?? How did this get past QA?! I even tried to refund the game from Sony until it’s fixed but they said since I already downloaded the game I don’t qualify for a refund. That must be nice to have zero worries about gamers returning an unplayable game when you have a policy as criminal as they do. Guess the devs don’t have as much pressure to put out a top notch product when you consider the nonexistent refund policy. My money is being held hostage and I have a game I can’t stomach to play. Never going to preorder another PlayStation game as long as I live. I will wait for more reviews and USER feedback in the future and buy on PC when there’s an option or else wait for the inevitable port. Sad thing is, I purposely paid for the $70 version (instead of upgrading from a PS4 purchase) because I wanted to show support. NEVER. AGAIN.… Expand

Текстуры погружаются перед глазами, картинка перегружена резкостью, при этом не имеет сглаживания, глаза болят. Гг проваливается в текстуры, залипает наглухо между объектами. Стелс убогий, кидаешь камень и ждешь в кустах. Если бы эта игра вышла года через 2-3 после 1 части на ПС4 только, то было бы не так обидно. НО!

    Absolute disaster of a game. It's so woke and full of cringe left wing agenda it's literally ruining the otherwise fun game experience. Cgi looks gorgeous - movie tier lighting and direction, but.. completely RUINED by unnaturally ugly characters and cringe dialogues.
    Don't buy this, do not support woke devs!

    Aloy is annoying, arrogant. Nothing to do in this game. We always use R3 to activate the focus.
    It's boring. You can climb only if you use the focus and can't climb on everything.

    It's so bad. Graphics are great but a game is more than graphics. Graphics are way down the priority list of what makes a good game.

    And this game is all graphics. The gameplay is braindead, increasing the difficulty only makes it more tedious (higher numbers), it's still braindead though.

    If you want a long movie that makes you do chores, a walking simulator that looks pretty, get this.

    Man, I don't know what is happening to my game. After I downloaded it, the game crashed three times while launch. The fourth time it opened but crashed in the loading screen. Then I thought the game files somehow corrupted, so I re-downloaded the game, but it still having issues while loading. So I went to my cousin that also has a ps5 to try to run the game, but even on his console theMan, I don't know what is happening to my game.     Те же ассасины только в профиль. Боевка и платформер, работают криво в тех же ассасинах это выполнено намного лучше. Графика почти отлично, но когда в 2х метрах перед тобой пррисовываетмя трава, деревья и т.д... Это явно не уровень. Пс: интерестно только первые пару часов Пс2: сони боии все равно схавают, и будут возносить очень посредственную    К сожалению

The fidelity mode is horribly slow and choppy, to the extent that every action scene is a blurry mess, and the performance mode is unacceptably awful for a $500 console. You're not gonna find em without grading hours and hours. The story is ok. But feels like they just didnt care like the 1st one.     The truth is that I feel disappointed, I expected it so much, thinking that it would be better than the first installment, but it turned out to be full of graphics errors and above all, exaggerated fog that does not allow us to see clearly even indoors, sad to see these results when they even raise the price to comparison of other consoles.

The open world aspect is cool but when compared to its counterparts it still lacks in comparison. The visuals look stunning I’ll be it in 1800p. While the story, dialogue and open world are rather lack luster the one thing that forbidden west has going for it is it’s jaw dropping visuals. However, the fact that you can’t run this game at 4k 60fps….is a disappointment.… Expand

    Yet another uninspired entry in the PlayStation catalogue. From a technical standpoint the game is good however the game itself is more of a reflection of the sorry state the industry is in. The game just feels like a lazy cash-grab that will appeal to the masses but does nothing to push the industry forward in a positive direction.

    This game gives me weird nausea. I have ps5 plus LG oled tv and the graphics / motion in performance mode is jerky and resolution mode frame rate is subpar. I’m extremely disappointed in the state this game was released in, even after 1.05 patch didn’t make a huge difference. At this point I can’t play it, hopefully further patches address issues

    The graphics must some of the best ever on a console. The gameplay is very solid like the original. The story is fine but not as good as Zero Dawn. Somehow it didn't click for me this time. The main problem is the character designs. Almost everybody looks bland or distractingly unattractive.     The developers spoiled the appearance of the character, making it absolutely unattractive and even disgusting. Because there is no way to edit the character's face in the game - I won't play it in principle. Such spitting and mockery of the players - stop putting up with this propaganda.

    I wanted to love this game but the glitches got me. These “beautiful” pics people keep showing are cutscenes, and Sony pics. The real game isn’t very polished and is a bit boring. It’s been such a long wait for anything new from Sony, and this game will do for now, but I’m. It getting the return on my investment.

    Buggy as hell. This game is not even finished, 80$ for this trash? I feel I got ripped. Fog everywhere, popping, secondary characters not well polished and there's a long etcetera of things that are broken. Not recommended,

It feels hollow playing this game and i kinda regret having purchased it when i could just wait for more game reviews before preordering it. Aloy is very uninteresting character as if there’s no character development and i feel like taking down huge machines like tremortusk is not a challenge. Im sorry i think the robo-dinosaurs or robotic enemies have to go because the designs are all similar eventhough they’re different. You may design a kraken and it feels the same when it’s a robot.     This game has everything you'd want from a sequel. The plot is more complex, surprising and entertaining, solving many of the plot holes left by its first entry. The graphics are much better than HZD, which should be obvious, given it is a PS5 game, although being cross-gen might have actually hold it back.

    All the voice actors did a phenomenal job, and the motion-capture team got SOOO much better! Goodbye robotic faces! Hello cinematographic dialogue scenes! At last, the soundtrack is, as usual, beautiful!

    Tiene glitches y bugs por todas partes y esta mierda me costó 80€ me estropeo la partida con nivel 9 cuando hablaba con el holograma de sylens, y el juego es demasiado aburrido para retomarlo del principio vaya mierda, la verdad es que me siento estafado.

    Way too many bugs and as a fan of the first game, this game led me down in almost everyway. sure it looks amazing but it isn't. Aloy isn't an interesting character anymore. they've choose a weird direction to tell the story.

    Good visuals in 30 fps mode but looks very standard game in 60 fps. Story is decent but game is bloated with so much side quest. The most boring thing is that there is nothing unique about the game-play. Typical Sony game where you get 3 minutes of gameplay followed by 5 min of cut-scene.

    “La niebla es mi pasión” es la mejor manera de describir el juego, por un momento realmente creí que era una campaña para tratar de atacar el juego pero que equivocado estaba, el efecto de neblina es exagerado, repleto de un pop-in demasiado notorio, tanto en exploración como en cinemáticas y hasta en interiores, todo para ocultar las grandes carencias del juego, supuestamente tengo una“La niebla es mi pasión” es la mejor manera de describir el juego, por un momento realmente creí que era una campaña para tratar de atacar el juego pero que equivocado estaba, el efecto de neblina es exagerado, repleto de un pop-in demasiado notorio, tanto en exploración como en cinemáticas y hasta en interiores, todo para ocultar las grandes carencias del juego, supuestamente tengo una consola “muy potente” que puede dar 8K, y queda demostrado la gran mentira que es PS5, un juego con gráficos de hasta PS2 en algunos personajes, la neblina en todos lados que no deja disfrutar la experiencia del juego y además no olvidar la estafa que es comprar el juego de la cual ya todos sabemos, se nota demasiado que NO es un juego de nueva generación, y hasta en PS4 se ve fatal, aquí si es importante recalcar la potencia pues a diferencia de Switch, en la cual ninguna caja de Switch premune unos supuesta 8K ni siquiera 4K, es un elemento muy importante pues me vendieron el juego como el “gran juego de la nueva generación”. No hay duda que es una gran decepción sino la más grande decepción de la PS5.
    No olvidemos los miles de bugs que tiene, como patinar en el suelo y el agua, seguir nadando en las flores, traspasar pisos o el de correr con pies de flash y otro que me paso donde se alentó prácticamente tal cual película de matrix y era injugable.
    Por último, los personajes tienen un bug en los ojos que no pueden tener un contacto visual sin mencionar el bug del cabello de Aloy y ni se diga el pésimo diseño de Aloy, supuestamente basado en una modela de lo cual no se parece nada y llega a ser muy incómodo estar usando a ese personaje, por quedar “políticamente” correctos crearon un monstruo.    … Expand

    The Performance mode is broken. Horrific aliasing at 60 fps. The 30 fps mode is a stuttery mess. I've honestly never been so disappointed in a Sony Game on day 1. This game has major issues. I'm sure there is a good game under the hood but its hard to care with the graphics hurt my eyes.

    when booting the system software, the ps5 hangs and restarts over and over again. when I get to the PS5 menu, the lettering from games etc is missing and everything is hacked and doesn't want to be the way it has to be.
    I did a hard reset on the ps5, reinstalling the system software update didn't help.
    I noticed that icc can only play ps4 games on the ps5.
    I have sound and graphic problems with the ps5 games so that the games are automatically terminated with error message CE-108255-1

    I haven't completely reinstalled the system software yet.

    I don't know if that will do anything.

    It says on the internet that the game is bricking the ps5.

    Sony has not yet commented on this.

    I give the game 0 points because it broke my PS5.

    Juego espectacular con brillantes gráficos y cinemáticas. Mejora mucho con creces los defectos que pudiera tener el primer juego.
    No le doy un 5 porque me queda mucho por ver aún y por la estafa de Sony con el precio (aunque Guerrilla no tenga nada que ver con eso)

    la verdad horizon zero dawn tiene cosas muy buenas, pero su trama e historia con el paso del tiempo se van volviendo un poco repetitivas, es algo molesto, que te saca de la trama principal, pensaba que con horizon forbidden west todo esto se iba a solucionar, pero me doy cuenta de que es aun peor, no es nada inmersivo, puede que graficamente se vea genial, pero es un juego sin alma.

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

    Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla's best game to date, taking Aloy to new heights with a blockbuster release that meets the high standards set by PlayStation in recent years. While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
