    Hello Neighbor 2 is a gorgeous game with a solid concept, but unfortunately it is held back by some serious bugs and bad AI.

    I could see the vision of Hello Neighbor 2. The premise was promising, and the puzzles offered some fun, but the game is very unpolished. Between the frequent crashes, visual and AI bugs, and no reason to sneak around whatsoever, I really can’t recommend this game as it currently stands, even if you are a fan of this series.

    Hello Neighbor 2 is a mixed bag when compared to the rest of the franchise. The AI still needs to show more intelligence and the performance isn’t spectacular – even on PS5. The story may put off newcomers but fans of the series will hopefully enjoy what it has to offer in its mystery. Puzzles have been greatly improved which makes a good chunk of your playtime more accessible and enjoyable, but the counterparts keep it down from being great.

    Thoughts-
    I really wanted to like Hello Neighbor 2. The world and story are gripping and enthralling, and the puzzle/chase gameplay is fun (when it works). I can see why the series has become so wildly popular. But the things that either don’t work or otherwise get in the way of the experience really got me down. Maybe the inevitable Hello Neighbor 3 will get it right.    … Expand

Gamers will bring up issues such as bugs and Hello Neighbor 2 has several issues and bugs that can result in Crashes. Making for one big bust. It's not worth recommending games in a bad state such as Hello Neighbor 2. Unless the issues are fixed, it's not worth getting it at 60.… Expand

The first game was also not really long, so i dont really think its ok to say this one sucks because its also pretty short (max 5 hours). But its really nasty that they already have 3 dlcs and selling them on day one release. Like what? you cut of content of an already only 4 5 hour game and sell it piece by piece? The whole experience should cost 40 bucks but if you want the whole experience, you really have to pay like for an tripple a game... Nope, this is just fìng up your customers!

    BTW, PS5 version runs extremely poor. Like why does this game doesnt hit and hold 60fps? its constantly going from 30 to 60 with stutters and lags... common guys, polish this joke    … Expand

I would have said Hello Neighbor 1, but thats not its official title so I felt the need to clarify} is the first game I ever did speedrunning for! I got like 6th place? I didnt submit it tho, cuz I wanted to place top 3 so I looked cool for my friends. I couldnt do it tho, so I dont have a run submitted. Anyway, This game is pretty awful. I believe, {and my friends know} that I am super SUPER easy to please. This game did not please me, except for the hot baker lady, she pleased me. {in more ways than one *wink wonk*}. This game, like many others, {lookin at you Animal Crossing} would greatly benefit from have a romance system so I could romance the baker lady cuz she was fine as fuu-- oops better not swear in my review I might get banned, although I dont know all the rules with Metacritic so who knows? Maybe id be fine? Just as fine as that baker lady *wink wonk*. Anyway, yeah! You should be able to romance the characters! I mean come ooooon! The way they are always grabbin at you? Checkin out the package? It just feels like a missed opportunity!! Im sure most players agree! Another thing this game lacks, is fun. Its not fun. I wanted this to be fun. Thats what games are for right? You know what wasnt fun???? Ill give you a hint: Its long and hard, and rhymes with bovel. Any guesses? Thats right! That shovel! It fell into the depths of the earth wayyyyy back on the games release! and only YESTURDAY did Littlebuild decide to fix it??? It took EXACTLY 17 weeks!! 17 WEEKS!!! you know how long that is?? Thats almost 119 days! UNREAL!! I wanted to like this game but it took 119 days to beat! Thanks alot Littlebuild! And now that I have finished the game, I am very confused at the ending? I wont spoil it, but like, wheres the rest of the game? I was told by my boy Matty O, that I could play the DLC, but like, its $15? I already feel cheated at the $40 I spent buying this day one, {or was it $50? $30? I dont remember cuz I bought the game 119 days ago} that I dont want to give them any more money. Look, The game they sold me, is what im reviewing, NOT the DLC. If I didnt buy the DLC for Final Fantasy 15, {which is also a failed incomplete game, about on par with this one might I angrily add} just to get the rest of the story they sold in the base game, Im surely not doing it this time. Nice try Littlebuild. You wont scam me ever again. {or any of my loyal readers}. To summarize, dont buy this game. Its not even worth like $5. You could buy a couple Monster Energy drinks with that. Maybe even get a 3 for 5 deal at the right place! Well, not with inflation how it is at the time of this writing. I think its up to 2 for 5 now? Thanks Sleepy Joe. Anyway, to summarize, this may be the lowest score ill ever give a game on Metacritic, but all in all, I did enjoy the hot baker lady. Without her, this would probably just get a 0/10. Thats how much I didnt enjoy this new entry into this esteemed franchise. Im left feeling confused, baffled, hoodwinked, cheated, speckaldorfed, and sexually frustrated. 2/10, at least now I have more than 2 PS5 games?… Expand
