    Utterly disappointed in this. The promise of remastering some of the most iconic games in our life have come up incredibly short. The game looked okay-ish on screenshots with even some very questionable design choices but still, revisiting these playgrounds in modern day made me excited. Until I played it, horrible frame drops, inconsistent resolution, bugs, if anything it’s destroyed theUtterly disappointed in this.     Worst remaster ever, and it costs 60 full dollars! What a scam! Too many glitches and performance issues, not to mention not being able to play the games on PC due to the exclusivity to the Rockstar's bad launcher instead of making the game available on better launchers like Steam!

    This game has grammer mistakes all over the open world, the cartoon aesthetic is just an excuse for the character models to look like they are made from clay, there is absolutely no attention to detail and it seems rushed.

    Only Vice city in whole collection deserves good score (at least 6 honestly). This game have minimum bugs, especialy compared with San-Andreas.

    Good parts, which i liked (for Vice): - Textures of surfaces, materials, grass etc - good assets bravo. - Light system on streets - beautiful shaders. - Aiming system taken from next gta series. - Old atmosphere saved for my opinion.     For decades independent programmers support this game making new modifications for old games. They never ask, and never gets money for this. Company threatened to sue, if they not deleted their modification. It's a big shame. You will lost more money with this relation. You will get a boycott from many players.    … Expand

    It's definitely rubbish. I've played all gta games on my childhood, it was amazing, it was something new when they released them. Now it's too old too hard to play. I don't understand why rockstar released this, do they need more money or what? Such a shame. A game needs to worth the money you spend and and the time you play. It doesn't worth them all. Terrible

    3 of the best games of the past, i saw the trailer and it was an instant buy for me, because i loved those games in the old days. I thought that the games just could be better because they are at least 15 years old and now we have got 2021. So they just can be better. There are many bugs in the games like falling throw the ground, exploding cars without any reason, invisible walls even on mission paths, extreme physics effects that blow you over the maps like an falcon 9 rocket, invisible cars spawning with 500 km/h in front of you and many other problems. The new graphics are ok. Really thats not sarcasm. The old look of these games should stay but some the new character models are really messy. The biggest punch in the face is the look oft the rain. it looks so bad, you can think your Tv is broken, because you cant see anything in ths game when it rains. I also dont understand why it isnt possible to run the game in 60 FPS in 4K with an brand new graphics card.

    I really want my money back, because this is not what you can expect from an remaster of 20 year old games.    … Expand

    GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition, is a clear case of corporate greed and how R* is about to end.
    Extremely under cooked. They paid no respect to this trilogy. The character models are worst, there are a lot bug, the rain just makes it difficult to drive. And look at their courage, asking 60 dollars for this non sense, while the modders have been doing this for free for years.

    Horrível! O jogo está apresentando diversos bugs, quedas drásticas de FPS, sem otimização nenhuma, modelo de personagens horríveis. Simplesmente esse jogo está uma vergonha naquilo que se diz respeito a Rockstar. Os modders estão fazendo melhor que a própria desenvolvedora, pois estão lançando mods corrigindo os bugs, algo que a Groove Street Games não faz.

    nothing new , just a new graphic (and doesnt look so good as many mods out there),
    removed the gamr from stores , not original tracks in the game , awful models and expressions. AI seems crazy and with no sense, overall: game is filled with bugs.

    This is just poor. It makes me so sad to see these iconic games being treated like this. Too many things wrong with these games to submit here but as well as the original style of the games being distorted it’s also the little details missing that upset me.

    everything is the same even the game is full of bugs.
    The PS5 version was too creepy (It was as if I was playing with a 20-year-old computer.) , The weapon system also sucks.

    Take GTA Trilogy. Put algorithm on top. Put in simple features (Weapon Wheel). Sell for full price and laugh at the stupid customer.

    Launch was a mess... PC players unable to play ANY games on the launcher on the day of release. Next day launcher comes back without the trilogy... Day later it returns... So why did they remove it? To fix the issues, bugs and/or crashing? Nope! They accidently left the Hot Coffee files in (again) and left music files in the game... What a joke of a company...

    Game itself: Unplayable - Crashes at least twice per mission.

    Lets start off by talking about Groove Street games. The "company" that recreated these games. They should honestly never be allowed near the video game industry again. Not only has the CEO of the company came out with the most obnoxious and arrogant response possible to his companies dumpster fire. We're talking about a company who only makes mobile games. They've literally just ported all 3 MOBILE versions of the GTA trilogy and "reskinned" them for better resolutions while charging $60. This is borderline fraud.

    The game itself is so frustrating. I've only played for maybe 5 hours and find the game crashing between 1-4 times per mission. The character models are terrible and I mean T E R R I B L E. I've heard people say they are decent for main characters, no they are not. For example, one of the most memorable people from GTA: SA was officer tenpenny. His model on this reskin is atrocious along with everyone else. Rain is obnoxious (similar to the CEO) to a point where it makes the game borderline unplayable, parts of the map completely missing, basic camera bugs (unplayable ones), cycling bikes is buggy as all hell.

    This leads me to think that Grove street games DID NOT play test their video game. I can't get through one mission without a game breaking crash or bug so how in the hell did this get to release? For example the first couple of missions are literally on a bike. You'd think one person in the studio would notice these obvious bugs? Money talks though.

    Honestly hope Grove street games is shut down and the CEO is chased out of the industry. If I had **** up even just half is bad in any of my previous job I'd be out of work. I hope the same goes for this entire company.

    Never seen a bigger advert for companies hiring modders from the community. They did a better job with less people, money, time, motive, etc.

    Those who give this game a positive rating need to reflect, is this due to the game being "upgraded" or was it just that they didn't manage to utterly annihilate 3 classics? You're enjoying the old story, and you would enjoy better with the mods that they took down.

    Not really sure what people complain about. This is a faithful remaster of the originals, including their original kinks. Don't expect the game to play like GTA5. It's not but it's not meant to be. Just be aware the fact you are playing 20 years old game on a modern hardware.

    Absolutely loving it, it's great to revisit these classic with a few modern improvements.

    This isn't a Remake , this is B*llsh*t! GTA-SA on PS2 was a big part of my childhood. I loved this game so much!! But this game is a joke. All bosses at Rockstar Games or Grove Street Games or however they called should be fired!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is by far one of the most shameful and pointless compilations since the Silent Hill HD collection. Where to start?

    Well for one, most of the iconic music is missing, that by itself gives it a zero out of ten. The music is CRITICAL to the entire feel of those games and most of the best tracks are just gone. Its not really a "definitive edition" if its missing content now is it. The games just aren't the same without "You dropped the bomb on me" or "Billie Jean"

    But that's not all. They all run like **** most of the time too (especially on switch) despite the source material being decades old. There is no reason a PS2 game with some ****ty bloom and lighting effects smeared over it on the crappy unreal engine can't run on the switch. The switch can run breath of the wild but not GTA3. The PC, PS and Xbox versions aren't great ether. This isn't even a Spyro Reignited situation where the first game is pretty ok but the other two feel half finished. Every game here sufferers in some major way unforgivable way.

    Some of the changes ruin the atmosphere. San Andreas doesn't have fog anymore which is both unrealistic for the California setting but also makes the world feel empty and like a toy trainset when flying high up. The games are also full of misspellings, look at any random sign and I promise with a 99% chance the signs will be spelled wrong. All the games are way too dark and the rain looks white and thick like God **** on you specifically because the rain doesn't even look like its happening anywhere but directly on you and only you. Lots of little things where changed that just suck, like all the menus use San Andreas sound effects now for no reason. Hell, San Andreas isn't even based on the original, its the ****ty mobile version we got back on the PS3/360. Its full of glitches and technically issues not on the PS2 original.

    These games somehow look significantly worst then the PS2 versions. The character models are Lovecraftian monsters. Candy Suxxx, Denise and Ryder are particularly awful looking. Asuka is cross eyed and worst of all the three protagonist are butchered to comedic proportions. Tommy Vercetti looks like a greasy Seth MacFarlane and has weird fingernails. Claud Speed looks on the verge of depression all the time and CJ looks like **** Shrek. Sure, the Grand Theft Auto series has always struggled with humans. The games always looked a generation behind when it came to character models but these are by far the ugliest humans the series has produced so far.

    For a "Definitive edition" a whole lot of things are worse and there isn't much new. The new mechanics like third person aiming, checkpoints, GPS and the weapons wheel are weak new additions and could have been easily done with mods to the existing games (Oh, wait Take 2 hates those never mind) Now don't get me wrong they are neat inclusions but for a "Definite edition" you'd expect more. Like what if they added cut content like the skate board in San Andreas or some of the cut missions. Or better yet what if it had an extra campaign where Claud, Tommy and CJ team up to do a bank heist or something! But (To rant about remakes for a bit) that would require effort and be something cool that actually make the games even better then they are. No we are in the age of bull**** remakes that are JUST the original game running on Unreal with a graphics mod on it. This isn't a problem with just this game but all these remakes we keep getting in general.

    I'm sick of the Spyro Reignited type of remake that is just the original but with motion blur and ugly bloom everywhere running on a ****ty engine that should be retired already. A lot of people are suckered into this like "Wow look its that thing I liked as a kid but now its new again!" but honestly I find most of these insulting like "You don't have to play that ****ty old version this is the new shiny version! **** those people who worked hard back in the day with much less. We come and misunderstand the intention of the originals and updated it with modern memes and **** Ok well, the game industry keeps changing, what happens in three years from now when this new one is outdated too? Oh what, the new reinvigorated, refurnished version is old now too! Oh wow its almost like that was a waste of our time and you should have just made a new game! Did these games even need to be remade? They are slightly rough around the edges compared to games now but they are old. Everyone and everything gets old and that's fine. They are by no means unplayable just because "Gasp, there is no third person aiming in 3 and Vice city" same thing with Spyro "Oh god, the game is not in wide screen and L and R control the camera hide your children" Just get over it. Games out right now will suffer the same thing later anyway so just let them be old and enjoy it for what it is. Maybe focus on the next actual game instead of **** up games that where fine.

    Or in sort, this **** sucks don't play it!    … Expand

    Lo más lamentable que ha hecho esta compañía en su historia, coger una trilogía que era una obra maestra y convertirla en un chiste. Rockstar se está convirtiendo en sinónimo de mediocridad donde solo le importa el dinero mientras se ríen y maltratan al fan más veterano.

To be honest, the only thing they changed about the games was to improve the graphics; the majority of the flaws from the previous games remain in the new edition, which is a bummer. When I first watched the trailer, I thought it looked quite legit, but when I played it, it was utter garbage. I strongly advise you to spend your $40 on a betterTo be honest, Rockstar made a sloppy effort. To be honest, the only thing they changed about the games was to improve the graphics; the majority of the flaws from the previous games remain in the new edition, which is a bummer.     Most people complaining... have no idea what how difficult... the process of building video game can be. Some models look rough but they did a great job. People say developers dont care about gamers... But gamers dont care about developers. You dont even have the attention span to finish their game before you review it.

    What a terrible way to launch a game, which then turns out to be a pile of garbage.

    I really loved the original GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas but this has absolutely ruined them for me. Only upside is that they do look better with the lighting and texture improvements but that rain effect absolutely destroy it. This. Is not a remake but just a visual mod applied to the old games.     What a shame. All the great game developers of my youth becoming lazy and greedy. Bethesda, CD project and now rockstar games. Never thought it would be possible

    This is some disappointing stuff coming from rockstar quality. How are you going to remove such iconic things as story and music from games we gamers have been replaying for years? The graphics are garbage. Do better.

    They banned all the modders for this??. This is nothing. They didn't fix any bugs that was present in the original game, same issues are present here. Frame drops for a two decade old game...this is not a remaster or remake.. this is just refurbished with so called "new graphics". Waste of money and time. I'd rather play the original than this. That brings more nostalgia.

    Отличный ремастер, превзошёл все мои ожидания, я рад, что не сломали физику и анимации, игра ощущается именно так как и оригинал, но при этом выглядит просто шикарно! Именно то, что мне было нужно.
    Являюсь старым фанатом GTA3, и спустя 19 лет, пройду её наконец на 100%    Отличный ремастер, превзошёл все мои ожидания, я рад, что не сломали физику и анимации, игра ощущается именно так как и оригинал, но при этом выглядит просто шикарно! Именно то, что мне было нужно.
    Являюсь старым фанатом GTA3, и спустя 19 лет, пройду её наконец на 100%

    From the Definitive Edition of the iconic GTA titles emerged a technically unfinished remaster, which remained halfway. The content is and will always remain timeless, but the way to get to it and to enjoy it is simply not good.
