Exploitative tactics to make people pay-to-win on a game that already costs so much money. Gran Turismo used to be art in motion. Now it just reeks of corporate greed.

I’m just following the hype and chucking in a review. Not bought the game and not going too. Rather load up GT3. I’d say greed doesn’t pay, but it will. Shame on you.

    2. To decrease the CR payout and use the lame excuse that this would reflect the real difficulty in earning exotic cars is nonsense. It's a video game or a fantasy to drive cars, to apply a change of currency earned after a patch is shocking, I can only see this as a move to push your user base to be more inclined to purchase Cr from your store.

    3. The Cr packages are insane. I worked out that in order to buy a car valued at 2,000,000 plus, it would cost around $40 - the same car could be purchased on GT sport for $5.

    4. Since the patch, the ability to sell used cars has been removed, again making it difficult for gamers to purchase cars which means more insanely grind times or purchasing overpriced credit packages from the online store.

You should be ashamed of how you treated your loyal fan base. This will no doubt hinder your reputation with your fans after this stunt and a free bit of advice.. although I should charge you DLC in order to hear this. Sack your PR team! Your PR statement released after the 30 hour downtime was shameful and appalling, it's an insult to gamers intelligence and integrity.

Now imagine spending $70 on a video game, paying all those MT and cars, even if the cars are cheap, but now you cant play the game at the moment because the serves they developers are using are down for a few days, or even worse, shut down permanently. The game you paid for, the cars you paid for is now a $70+ brick and you cant even play single player arcade mode because you need their servers online to even start your game.

Thats why I give this a zero. The graphics and gameplay are fine, but at the end of the day, youre paying for a game you dont even own because its a game with a expiration date, loaded with Microtransactions.

If gran tourismo is falling to the cancer of microtransactions, then we all need to be worried about the future of gaming. There needs to be a serious effort here to force them into backing down and fixing this

Most expensive vehicles require more than 20h farming or about 90€ in microtransactions. This playstation flag ship game is no different to a freemium mobile game in this regard.

They sold us a great looking mediocre AAA title with tons of problems accompanied with greed, lies and deceit....MTX's that keep getting worse and engineering a game to rail road you into frustration from diminished race rewards cost of cars and making it egregious to try and 100% it. Also making truck races with a total of 2 trucks to even buy. Stay away from this game and this company. They obviously hate you and are only out to take advantage of you while lying to your face. Besides losing graphically to a game that is already 5 years old (Forza Motorsport 7) this GT 7 has everything negative to not work, online only + micro transactions.
I see this game as a service and that's something that doesn't interest me, what a disappointment.

I don't understand what is going on with developers and publishers these days, no matter the title, no matter the style of gameplay, they manage to be absolute shafts and beg and beg over and over for more of your money. Pathetic.
Also there is NO NEED FOR SINGLE PLAYER TO BE ALWAYS ONLINE!! This I imagine is just another gimmick to try poke and prod you towards their micro transactions and monitoring what you're doing. The single player, should simply be offline, end of story.

Either remove the micro-transactions and revert the game back to how it was when the professionals reviewed it, or refund everyone that's paid £70 and make the game free to play. As it stands today, GT7 is absolutely not a game I can recommend to anyone! Shocking behaviour from Polyphony Digital and Sony.

Very expensive for a game that doesn’t work at all when the servers go down. The offline mode is useless and the business model of pushing people to pay for even more via micro-transactions unless they play for hundreds of hours is disappointing from a series I’ve always enjoyed playing.

The actualy driving is great, no better driving game.

Played through single player mode in 4 sessions. Now what?

Do the three daily (actually weekly) online races over and over?

Got from slow FF cars to supercars in a couple of hours. Way to easy to make money and way to quick progression.

The old classic GT games lasted months of grinding to get the cars and progress.

Why is the game I paid $10,000 for and got it in the same state as an app game I play on my cell phone?
The cars are so expensive that I can't afford to buy them, but I only have a fraction of the money available in the game.
The announcement says "so that you can enjoy the game without paying", but I don't think that's the case at all. It seems more like they are threatening to charge

Unfortunately its plagued with problems, and there was no clear statement of the online only requirements of the game in any review I have read/watched. $60 for a game that is unplayable when they tank their servers trying to reduce payouts in races? C'mon. Microtransactions are clear and apparent in the fact that you can't sell your prize cars, race payouts are laughable, and the roulette tickets seem to always land on the smallest prize. Couple this with some uncontrollable snap over-steer on some of the RWD cars and it puts a serious dent in any of the fun that this game should be about. I hope that they will address these issues with further updates, but based on them nerfing payouts in the latest one I think its only going to get worse. Expand

Seems like a bait and switch introducing microtransactions after reviews were finished, and changing the game economy to heavy handedly push users to buy in-game credits. For a full priced game to feel like a free to play cash grab is unacceptable in my view.

Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
