    Simply a masterpiece. One of the best game I’ve ever played, and surely the Goty of 2022. Narrative and fight are 10/10 but the exploration is tedious, especially in end game, too many limitations, it simply ruin the experience. I wanted really to platinum but i had to give up exploring, it's simply not fun enough and frustrating. I hope they improve this aspect in the next game, give usSimply a masterpiece.     I thought that more GOW would be fine but they managed to meet AND exceed the expectations I had. The story is incredible. The gameplay feels so solid. Finished the story in approx 30 hours but so much more to enjoy!

    10 hours in, all I can say is that the story is so good and I want to finish it soon. But....This is clearly a PS4 game, which has been optimized for PS5. The cross-gen roots and bottlenecks are visible in asset quality, textures, etc. Combat is amazing. Performance is smooth @ 60 fps. But it's possible only because of it's compromise in visual quality.

    The people rating this game 0-1 are just pathetic. Complaining about cutscenes in story-telling game, because all you want is to "smash monsters"? Are you serious? If you just want to bash your head mindlessly into the keyboard and not to care about the immersive plot, just go play something suitable for another 10 y.o. like you.

    Amazing and fluid combat, packed with an engaging story. I loved the seemless feel of being able to explore areas and do side quests while in pace with the main story. I loved the new combat finishers and varying enemy types and bosses to keep the experience fresh each time. Definitely a GOTY contender for sure!

    Every bit the masterpiece it was made to be and outstanding in every way. Huge game with plenty to do, epic boss fights, fantastic story and graphically phenomenal with amazing sounds. Goty for me.

    The narrative and story telling in this game is phenomenal. Just like the first game, it really feels like you're almost playing a movie. They break up the game much better than the first with much more obvious side quest areas.     The narrative and story telling in this game is phenomenal. Just like the first game, it really feels like you're almost playing a movie. They break up the game much better than the first with much more obvious side quest areas. The side quests themselves are worth doing just for the narrative elements alone. They are truly amazing and fulfilling pieces of content that are just as good as the main storyline. They also are almost a necessity if you are playing on the harder difficulties.

    The armor, weapon, and skill tree systems have all been expanded from the first game. There's a lot of terrific rpg elements to be found here with lots of ways to customize your builds.

    Unfortunately the combat still has some pretty massive issues, especially on the harder difficulties. It can be somewhat hard to explain because it really just comes down to the combat not "feeling quite right."

    Hit indicators are absolutely terrible. Attacks coming from 180 degrees in front of the player have no hit indicators at all. There's way too much going on the screen for a player to be able to see a fireball coming from a 90 degree angle. The VAST majority of my deaths are from due to offscreen, barely visible attacks. It also seems that even the hit indicators from behind don't always work. If your camera is slightly tiled downward, if an enemy is in the camera view, the hit indicator won't show.

    Almost every enemy has some form of super armor during certain attacks. You will often be hit in the face as you're absolutely wrecking an enemy. This can even occur during some runic attacks. This is one of the worst aspects of GOW combat. There should be very few and very specific enemies that have super armor. When you're fighting a group of 10 enemies, the last thing you want is for a random grunt to disrupt the combat chain because they decided to launch one of their random attacks that gives them super armor. This is probably much less of an issue on the easier difficulties, but if you're playing on the hardest difficulty, one hit from a grunt his likely at least half your health. The combat often doesn't feel like it "flows" well as a result.

    Which also leaves me to my next point, which is that gear upgrades on the hardest difficulties almost have no purpose. Every enemy will two shot you. This is the laziest form of difficulty scaling. Difficulty should come with better AI, more attack patterns, and smarter encounters... not just scaling the damage up 300%.

    I know that some people will say "just turn down the difficulty," and they might be right to some degree. Turning down the difficulty will probably result in the combat flowing better, but I don't think that's the actual issue at heart. Kratos should feel powerful, and he just doesn't when a random grunt ignores your attacks.

    Despites GoW shortcomings and frustration in combat, they are mostly overshadowed by its many incredible moments and overall story telling.    … Expand

    Just as good as the previous God of War. This is amazing after the previous games highest quality. Everyone should play this game. It is an upgrade not a revolution, it's very similar in all things but an upgrade. The story is just as good, fantastic game.

    this game so far is the best game I have seen this year, great graphics, so far have seen no bugs and yes there is a lot of puzzles but if you don't like puzzles and grinding (which were in the 2018 game) then this game is not for you

    O jogo é absolutamente incrível. O combate é frenético, e esta melhor que o de 2018, A história é excelente. Os gráficos são muito bons, e seriam melhores se fosse apenas do PS5, mas, entendo a estratégia da Sony. Ainda não acabei, mas, posso dizer que esta um pouco a frente de Elden Ring (outro excelente jogo) e deve ganhar o goty. Mas, se ER ganhar não vou ficar chateado.

    Just here doing my part to balance out Gen Z "pro gamer" dillweeds complaining about "long cut scenes" and "long walking sequences with dialogue" who wouldn't know amazing storytelling and world building if it hit them in the face.

    Santa Monica delivered a master class, period. 10 out of 10 for a meticulously curated gaming experience.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Não há outro termo para esse jogo que não seja "obra-prima" ou "obra de arte". Os rumos que o jogo tomou é bem interessante. Tentando ser "alguém melhor", Kratos busca evitar conflitos, mas não deixa de ser brutal quando o conflito é necessário. Ele continua destilando violência, mas agora, é pra proteger a quem ama, não mais por vingança. O Ragnarok possui muitos pontos positivos e altamente elogiáveis.

    Mas como nada é perfeito neste mundo, o jogo possui defeitos. Como disse antes, a gameplay tem uns problemas, principalmente em relação a jogar o machado "energizado", logo antes de fazer movimentos de esquiva. Isso é um tanto chato, mas não é o pior ponto do jogo.
    Minha nota só não é 10 porque o maior ponto negativo é o modo como a narrativa é feita. As trocas de controle entre Kratos e Atreus é bem chata. Isso quebra bastante o ritmo do jogo e deixa o jogo muito chato (principalmente nas partes em que o jogador controla Atreus e, mais especificamente, quando ele conhece a Agrboda). É nítido que Ragnarok bebeu muito da fonte de The Last of Us II e meio que manteve a linha de seu jogo anterior (uma morte no começo, uma jornada, dois pontos de vista (claro que não é a mesma coisa, já que em The Last of Us, são lados opostos. Já aqui, são duas pessoas que jogam no "mesmo time") e o final "parecido", já que em 2018 e agora no Ragnarok, você termina em um local elevado, vendo imagens do que aconteceu durante a jornada e o que poderá acontecer futuramente.

    Nem tudo são flores, mas também nem tudo são espinhos. O jogo nos proporciona gráficos incríveis, história excelente com algumas reviravoltas, dublagem em português bem superior a de 2018 onde a voz do Kratos ficava um tanto forçada, enquanto que aqui, tá bem mais natural, uma boa jogabilidade (mas que possui algumas falhas, como citei acima) e a mudança nos personagens (principalmente do Sindri, fazendo-o deixar de ser um anão "limpinho" pra uma máquina de ódio. E Freya, uma inimiga declarada que agora faz parte do "time Kratos") todo esse pacote faz de Ragnarok, um dos melhores jogos da saga e fortíssimo candidato ao GOTY 2022. (Parabéns se você leu tudo isso até o fim).    … Expand

    No me salió ningún bug ha pesar de haberlo jugado desde el día uno, algo que se agradece porque tuvo muchos problemas con otros títulos exclusivos como horizon forbbiden west, ratchet, grand turismo, spiderman miles morales, que estaban llenos de bugs y molestaba al jugar, en muchas ocasiones mejor dejaba de jugar para esperar a que arreglaran las cosas, con Ragnarok no fue el caso, lo pude terminar sin ningún problema.

    Para mi es el mejor juego del año definitivamente, he jugado elden ring, bayonneta 3, horizon forbbiden west, pero Ragnarok fue el que más me gustó de todos porque lo tiene todo es muy completo y se nota el gran esfuerzo. Ni si quiera me siento estafado por haberlo pagado en su precio completo día uno, hasta creo que pagará más para apoyar a los desarrolladores. Las peleas son épicas y las disfruté al máximo, mucha adrenalina y la forma en cómo contaron la historia es magnifica.

    Es un privilegio haber disfrutado de este juego, muchas gracias por deleitarnos con un títutlo tan completo, por primera vez puedo decir que valió la pena tener un PS5.

    Were it shines is in the characters with quality voice acting that makes you care about the people on screen, you feel their pain, anger, frustration. simply amazing writing. and a beautiful world full of lore were it takes place.

    Graphics = 9
    A last gen game and that shows, long corridors of beautiful vistas connected by slow climbing, tunnels, cracks, that slow you down so that old consoles can keep up, with the visuals on display. When it opens up its usually large water areas with small ilands, desert with small alcoves or ice areas that are kinda empty, impressive for ps4 with 2013 hardware, but on ps5 not so much.
    Facial animation and mocap is insane makes the characters look alive with weight like they live in a world with gravity that actually affects things on armor and objects in motion.

    Combat = 6
    barley above average for games of this type, where it falls short is the focus on makin things look cool instead of feeling good. its very slow, combos/skills look cool by slowing down time, but only for you as enemies can still move fast, example when you combo an enemy and the slow-Mo finisher / jump high while yelling slowly, enemy's will just recover move out and slap you while Kratos try to look cool, or totally assault you while you cast some skill/spell that lock you in to animations, that don't stagger enemies. All this makes you just use r1 attacks and dodge as blocking is worthless cuz they spam unlockable and shield breaking stuff all the time. this makes 85% of the whole skill tree useless.

    Back are the challenge bosses but not as good as the Valkyries, this time they teleport fly shoot summon enemies have infinite poise, spam unlockable jump attacks like they are some kinda flea, sometimes they trow multiple bosses at a time kinda cheap tbh. frustrating to the point of me just over leveling as the fun of a challenge was not there, Story fights are good but if i compare to Elden Rings polished combat and bosses this is inferior in every way.

    World and navigation =7
    Traversal is slow constantly slowed down by hidden loading such as climbing, crawl tunnels, gaps to squeeze tru, some worlds are huge other very small. all puzzles are back with hardly anything new, freeze gears, throw axe at 3 blue things to open chest, trow ax at red things in order to open stuff all copied from previous game.    … Expand

Is it a well made game absolutely and I’d score it somewhere around 8.7 /10 but it’s nothing I haven’t played before as far as leveling up ur gear , stats , side quests etc….. it does all this well but nothing new or mind blowing .     GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK ha sido un viaje increíble de principio a fin, la nuevas mecánicas aunque pocas expanden el gameplay de manera muy variada. Los nuevos enemigos dan mucho juego a la hora de combatirlos y la ejecuciones son de lo mejor.
    El apartado grafico y visual del juego es maravilloso, la banda sonora ha mejorado mucho con respecto al anterior y los personajes son muchos y    GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK ha sido un viaje increíble de principio a fin, la nuevas mecánicas aunque pocas expanden el gameplay de manera muy variada. Los nuevos enemigos dan mucho juego a la hora de combatirlos y la ejecuciones son de lo mejor.

    This game has a great story with a very linear world. A ton of immersion breaking invisible walls and sections that seem climbable, but of course you need writing on the wall to climb something. The gameplay itself just like the previous title really doesn't change enough to indicate growth.     This game is in every way better than the original (2018), and that’s saying a lot! From the story, characters, side quests, and the level design are phenomenal. This game was well worth the wait! I’m not even all the way through yet, but I know this will continue to be great all the way through. You can tell the genuine effort and love that was put into this game.

    GOD OF WAR 1 & 2 Absolutely the best game I’ve ever played! I just finished Ragnarok and honestly this game is so good! Wish it never ended! Loved Kratos and Atreus. Atreus has grown so much it really feels as if he is your child to look after and protect but you also have to understand he is growing up this game has everything I hope there’s plenty more GOW in the near future. 10/10

    The sequel did not disappoint, I will do without spoilers. The game logically completes the Scandinavian mythology, the plot is clear and good. There are intrigues, and tough fights, and a plot twist. If you like GOW 2018 then Ragnorek is required to pass

    God of war Ragnarök is the definition of a sequel and the ultimate advertisement for how far gaming has come. It is the block buster that puts to shame corresponding productions of other branches of entertainment. With the the slightly lighter and more humorous approach to dialogue and its style in general, the title is better in every other aspect than its predecessor.

    God of War Ragnarok is a Masterpiece and better than God of War 2018 in all Respects. It is a declaration of Love to all true Gamers. I love Fromsoftware & Elden Ring I have to say that God of War Ragnarok is my GOTY 2022 and definitely one of the Best Games ever!

    I have too many emotions for this game. A review here can't do it justice. I am sure I will never, in my life, play anything like it again. I doubt I'll even experience anything like it again. True genius game, I am actually speechless. Even if there are certain aspects you dislike, giving it a 0 is pure troll.

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
