    GOW: Ragnarok is a perfect game. The story is rich and quite emotional. The combat is refined from the last entry and involve 3 other characters. Great voice overs, great music. You have some more smooth moments that let you pause. You get puzzles and maybe 90% you can figure by observation. You get some powers gradually, so you have to revisit some areas to complete side quests with newGOW: Ragnarok is a perfect game. The story is rich and quite emotional. The combat is refined from the last entry and involve 3 other characters. Great voice overs, great music. You have some more smooth moments that let you pause. You get puzzles and maybe 90% you can figure by observation. You get some powers gradually, so you have to revisit some areas to complete side quests with new paths opening. Maybe I wasn't a fan of the night/day system, but that was me. The level designs are amazing. I give it 100%. In terms of gaming experience, this is a perfect game.     Masterpiece, e ainda melhor que o primeiro jogo que já era excelente, esse jogo será lembrado por muito tempo, Kratos e Atreus estão em uma sintonia melhor do que o primeiro, a fluidez do jogo no PS5 está sensacional e no PS4 está uma otimização que eu nem imaginei que seria possível, parabéns Santa Mônica.

    3 hours in but I am absolutely hooked! Amazing graphics and cinematic. God of War was my favorite of all time on PS4 and now it is incredible on PS5!

    Next time when you make a game you start from the beginning.

    The characters needs to move slow before reaching the highest level of Speed moves in attacks.

    But anyway excellent work.

Here's my review of it so far after 9 hours..the game is masterful in storytelling and grabs you as soon you control the game.More depth in both father and son way before you start ur journey. Twists early in the game and some heartful moments with these two characters early on. The game is bloody and more brutal than the first game of this mythology. More depth in gameplay and more structured level design and the first realm you go to is large and plenty so stuff to do. The dialogue is a few scenes were pretty funny. Straight off the first boss fight is epic and jaw drop moments that made the first boss fight in the 2018 look tame. The music is better as well even with a few reused ones but still it's really good. So far the realms are different from the 2018 nothing looks the same or barely. More different bosses and challenging ones that are optional. After 9 hours I gotta say don't listen to those trolls they haven't played the game nor cared to play it. They are salty and want it on xbox.… Expand

    Santa Monica delivered a master class, period. 10 out of 10 for a meticulously curated gaming experience.

    - God of war 2018's solod combat is back and only improved upon in this sequel. You can make your own combos switching between weapons, and your rage mode, the combat flows fast and fluidly between each weapon. Plus addition of several different types of enemies and mini boses keep the combat freash and you feeling satisfied after desfeating a foe. The combat is some of the best in the god of war series and i had so much fun with every encounter. They also provide you with a DMC 5 style void arena to practice your combos and skills. Combat also envourages mobility in its arena that have verticality to them -World exploration: every realm has its own set of side quests and lications to explore. Game lets you traverse these realms at your own pace if youve unlocked them. The sode missions are witcher 3 type of greatness, and exploration is encouraged since it provides you materials and equipments that offers you rear moves or buffs. The world also feels alive ith npcs and animals roaming around and i encourage playets to take their time with exoration
    RPG elements: i am glad to see that these werent an after thought. Yes you can complete the game with the same build. But changing your gear to enemy type you are encountering makes facing them mlre satisfying since you can stun them to increase your combo count, increase the rate at which you apply elementsl status effects or keep yourself from staggering. Not toention ecah equipment has its own upgrade path that adds more vsiaul aesthetics and skills into each equipment Content: the game is filled with content and it doesnt feel bloated. No two location that youll visit will provide you with the same encounter. Every real looks beatiful to explore and puzzles keep you guessing while they avoid being frustrating. There also multiple player characters with their own combat mechanics and skill tree complex enough to let them have their own spin off game Cons: The first 47 mins is slow since player isnt give much control and youre hust watching cutscenes. I think sony should get rid of such tropes Companions start hinting you the solution to puzzles whichbcan take away player agency    … Expand

    GOW Ragnarok is a wonderful game and in my opinion the best game of 2022.
    But you can't deny it suffers a few issues in term of plot holes and story wise.
    1. Plot holes - Last game covered up ever single plot hole with Mimir storytellings. We even got to learn that he was Puck from Celtic mythology who moved North and started over his life. We also learn that Frigg and Freya were the    GOW Ragnarok is a wonderful game and in my opinion the best game of 2022.
    But you can't deny it suffers a few issues in term of plot holes and story wise.

    1. Plot holes
    - Last game covered up ever single plot hole with Mimir storytellings. We even got to learn that he was Puck from Celtic mythology who moved North and started over his life. We also learn that Frigg and Freya were the same person. This game however does not fix such plot holes and it should have been easy since they did it last time.
    - E.g. Angrboda, her mother, grandmother and Hildisvíni are all portrayed with African heritage, but why is noone mentioning it? Why isn't there a single dialogue that they, or their ancestors moved to the Northern lands similar like Kratos and Mimir? And what about other races? Why don't we see Latinos, Asians, Arabs or other races in these lands? Shouldn't Mimir have a simple story about it? HE ALREADY KNEW HILDISVINI!
    - Angrboda was also my favorite character, but we barely got to know her. Why did her parents die? Why is she and her grandma all alone? Where did they all get their African heritage from? WHY, WHY DIDN'T SHE JOIN LOKI'S JOURNEY?!
    - Then there is the fact that Tyr left arm is covered in Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Why doesn't Atreus ask about it and try to read them? It feels really out of character for him, especially when his job is to decipher the mask from Odin with all sorts of different languages.

    2. Underused gods
    - The same problem occurred with the Greek GOW games, in which we might not see all the gods and it's a damn shame.
    - There was a very long discussion if this Norse GOW saga were supposed to be two or three games. You can definitely feel that uncertain choice in this game.

    3. Scale is big, but not BIG ENOUGH!
    - The scale of these enemies are big, but when compared to previous GOW games, they are rather tiny. I understand that giants, dragons and monsters all come in variety of sizes, but this game enemies are clearly smaller than Hræzlyr and Thamur.

    Nevertheless.
    I truly, TRULY loved this game. Graphics, gameplay, story, music. I loved it, 10/10 game.

    Kratos story at this point feels done.
    If Loki story continues, I really want to see him reunite with Angrboda again and hopefully have a few more dialogues of covered up plot holes.    … Expand

    El Ragnarok llego y vino con varios cambios y mejoras tomando la base del juego lanzado en 2018, si te gusto el primero este tiene mas jefes finales, subjefes, areas mas amplias que explorar, mejora algunos aspectos de las armaduras y en graficos es lo mas puntero en 2022-2023.     This is the best possible sequel we could’ve had. It builds on every aspect, every detail, every lore and mechanic of previous game and expands it! Game looks beautiful, and all different realms are intricate and unique. The opening sequence along is the one of the best in all of gaming ever. This game promises a lot and overdelivers all the hype. It is above and beyond of what we expected!

    As the sequel to the God of War 2018 reboot, this game has done it again. The story telling and following the evolving relationship between Kratos and Atreus is so captivating. Teaching new lessons to aspiring fathers such as myself. Amazing story, great gameplay, and my vote for Game of the Year

    Es un juego que representa lo que pueden llegar a evocar los videojuegos como maxima expresión de entretenimiento interactivo. La música acompaña gratamente los momentos y te hará sentir muchas emociones cuando toma protagonismo.

    La cantidad y diversidad de jefes aumenta muchísimo, reciclando muy pocas veces un jefe y tratando de mantener las cosas interesantes todo el tiempo: En este apartado hago especial mención a los mini jefes lagartos que te encuentras unas 3 o 4 veces en toda la aventura. Por alguna razón sus combates los disfruté todo el tiempo.

    Dentro de lo negativo, no me convenció tanto el sistema de combate de Atreus, se me hizo una mera excusa para conocer su parte de la historia. Las funciones del Dualsense fueron francamente desaprovechadas y port último, le hubiera agregado un poco más de carne al final.

    Con todo esto, la única forma en que no recomendaría este juego es si odiaste el de 2018, porque este es una obra maestra. Mi GOTY personal y uno de los juegos más impresionantes que puedes experimentar en estos momentos.    … Expand

    Simply magnificent. In a day and age when we get incomplete or sometimes outright broken game releases, GoW Ragnarok stands as a towering achievement in the industry. The story, gameplay, visuals, sound design, acting, everything about this game is state of art. And above all else, it's ridiculously fun to play. Highly recommended

    God of War Ragnarök is a fantastic game that is absolutely worth the money and I personally feel, is a solid contender for the 2022 game of the year. It’s an improvement over everything 2018’s GOW did and it tells a great story. There aren’t many issues with it that have me reducing the score. Even though I am giving it a 10/10, it’s not a perfect game, the last act drags a bit up until the final battles but besides that, it’s an excellent game that is well worth the price of admission. If you’re a God of War fan, you’ve probably already played and conquered it, but if you’re on the fence, I can assure you it’s well worth it and is my personal game of the year for 2022.    … Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
