    Directors Cut is the best version of the game and well worth the asking price, iki island is as stunning as the base game! New discoveries, New tales and challenges. Suckerpunch done an amazing job with this game and gonna get even better once rival's releases 10/10

    I wish it was a Remastered version. So at least there was a better graphic for it. maybe even better Artificial intelligence and less bugs. But this "Director's cut" doesn't worth to re buy. The Iki Island is Okay . But just if you're upgrading the game. Not for full price.

    For additional 30$ I got DLC that is rather short and graphic upgrade is not that visible.     Let's be real here, only reason this game got any attention was because last of us 2 was so bad and people wanted to pretend that this game is super good. Actually they are both generic games. Yes it is better than last of us 2, but in general this game is absolutely nothing special. Not recommending, specially without no free upgrade.

    Literally nobody plays this game anymore, this game died out before 2020 ended. Main reason it was hyped up was because last of us part II had to fail in sales compared to this one. Nobody actually cared about this game. I personally don't like it all, generic rpg.

    It is madness that the PS5 upgrade is locked behind a double paywall. First, you have to buy the DLC, and then you have to buy the upgrade. That’s beside the fact that the upgrade almost does not improve anything in the game. Sony is losing customers and causing bad PR by trying to squeeze all the cash out of people who like Sony games.

    Ghost was an already amazing looking game. I guess I kinda hoped for more with the directors cut. But in reality it’s just that—-a directors cut. Some extra content that was already on the PS4 disk. You can Sony is pushing their developers like Sucker Punch and Insomniac Games to rush new content to the shelves. I’d wait for this to go on sale.

The upgrade path is so ridiculous and people are rightfully angry about it. Iki island expansion is still great and there is some good content here. Metro exodus, Miles Morales, FF7R, Star wars Jedi Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, A Plague's Tale and lot other games got next gen enhancements which significantly improved visual quality using next gen lighting, shadows etc, supporting Dualsense features and these are all given for free. Though GoT on PS4 looks great, I hoped for some changes in lighting, textures, shadows and draw distance as it's not a free next gen upgrade. Turns out it's just a mere resolution bump and slightly reduced load times. Such a dishonorable move that totally does injustice to this great game and Suckerpunch/Sony deserve these user scores.… Expand

    It is annoying that they charged 30 USD for this expansion considering how old is it, they recycled this to charge us full price for it with a 5 hour DLC and there are tecnically no graphical imporvements.

    Just wanted to play this game with all the PS5 features but you can’t as the update is locked behind a paywall. PlayStation is really screwing with their fans and sad part is the ponies are actually celebrating this horrible practice. Director’s Cut is nothing but a money grab. UPDATES should be free.

    Spent 4-5 hours in this game. Just so boring. Didn't care about the story at all - its simply cliche on cliche. Combat system was fun, however it's not enough to keep you going. So glad I haven't spend money in it's time.

    The Director's Cut is my first time playing Ghost of Tsushima as I wanted to wait until I could play it on a PS5 and I do not regret it. The Dual Sense controller really does increase the experience of a great game.

    To start, the game is graphically very beautiful. There's lots to see and the landscape is generally quite diverse. It really does show off the graphical capabilities of    The Director's Cut is my first time playing Ghost of Tsushima as I wanted to wait until I could play it on a PS5 and I do not regret it. The Dual Sense controller really does increase the experience of a great game.

    To start, the game is graphically very beautiful. There's lots to see and the landscape is generally quite diverse. It really does show off the graphical capabilities of the PS5 and I do enjoy how realistic most of the textures are. Everything sounds good and the voice acting is very average. The story itself is absolutely fantastic with lots of good lore in both the main missions and side missions with lots of good and important messages contained within.

    With all that said, the game isn't perfect. While combat and gameplay is mostly good, the lack of decent crafting options is a bit disappointing. There's all the makings of what could be a good crafting system that isn't followed through on nearly enough and in fact isn't even ever actually called crafting. It certainly should be crafting, since a lot of the game is collecting crafting materials and there's enough materials in the game for a full crafting system, but a lot of the materials just end up feeling useless.

    While Jin's (your main character) move set is very diverse, it's almost too diverse as there were clearly not enough buttons on the controller for them to do everything with this game that they wanted to, ending up with a lot of switching between weapons and sword forms while in combat. It doesn't always feel super smooth for that reason. However, the different ways you can play the game and either go straight into combat or use stealth or a mixture of both even makes the game feel like there's a lot of variety in how you can approach each mission.

    I think my biggest issue with the game however is that it's simply too long. While this may be to how I decided to play, completing the side missions while also playing through the main story, the game felt like it was going on forever. I enjoyed most of my time with it, but as someone who likes to play a lot of games, I wouldn't have minded if it was just a bit shorter so I can move on to the next game. 25-35 hours including side content should be about the right length and this game is about twice that amount of time.

    While I did enjoy Ghost of Tsushima, I do find it to be a bit overhyped when you hear people talking about it or read other people's reviews. While the game is high quality, there's nothing super innovative here, at least not innovative enough that I would expect other games to try it too. It's a fun game that is very much worth playing for the story and gameplay, but I don't see myself revisiting anytime soon.    … Expand

    I sound harsh, but I was expecting so much more. I think it's okay, but I've got through act 1 and i'm just bored, I feel like i've done this many times before and its got nothing new that I can think of.

    If you love open world games with heaps to do maybe you will like it (most people do), if you like challenging games with interesting story/characters and satisfying combat, I don't think it's for you.    … Expand

    It's another bore fest of a game which starts with some fmv that you can't skip. It then becomes what every game seems to be nowadays , a job list. Go to Z to get X and take it to Y repeat ad nauseum. If I wanted a job list of pointless tasks I'd ask my wife if there was anything she wanted me to do.

    My advice is to cut the grass as it has more entertainment value than this tripe

    The game is extremely repetitive and boring. It's just kilometers of horse rides and 90% of quests are just killing dozens of enemies at the same time.

    That said, graphics, environment, and combat are top-notch.

    Its basically assassins creed with cool graphics. 1 point for the graphics/art style. Other than that its a very shallow game not worth the time to play if you've played any assassins creed or open world ubisoft game.

    Where this game falters is it's lack of content variety. Side missions, and even main story missions are repetitive.     They could definitely make a follow up to this game that is awesome. But they need to infuse creativity into the beautiful world.

    Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut refreshes the original game and also add iki island to give players more activities and more opportunity to slay mongols with their Katana!

    Sucker Punch has managed to make my favorite game of all time EVEN better. The graphics have definitely improved a bit and Iki Island is amazing. Highly Recommend.

In terms of gameplay, you'll be able to completely let off steam and the developers will always give you a free rein. Thanks to the newSony and the developers at Sucker Punch released a great title in terms of gameplay and graphics, Ghost of Tsushima, for the PS4 and PlayStation 5, then as now. The storyline and the many little narratives will keep you in front of the TV for hours. In terms of gameplay, you'll be able to completely let off steam and the developers will always give you a free rein. Thanks to the new expansion, you'll get even more content and you should definitely go to the island of Iki. Nevertheless, the camera doesn't always run perfectly. On the other hand, the graphics and the great soundtrack can once again collect important points for the overall rating.     I bought this and am enjoying it. Do I agree with paying the price, well yes otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. For all those saying Sony should do this free, obviously have never ran a business. I don't expect Ford to give me a free car when mine is updated to the next model, I end up having to purchase a new one. If you like it buy it if not shut up about what they should be doing.

    I haven't got to play this game yet, but I will consider this version a reason to buy a PS5 along other reasons of course. I just don't think that it's fair that this game get review bombed, because some people are unsatisfied with paying for an upgraded version.

    The expansion has been review bombed for its price (which is exorbitant) but the DLC is incredible as a whole. Don’t expect a long winded main storyline, but the content this island provides and the themes of regret and forgiveness are absolutely nailed.

    Well done update for a great game. Lots of new content is complemented by a ton of new gameplay elements. More content was missing from the basic game, otherwise there was nothing to complain about. And now everything is fine. Reason to buy Playstation 5 if you don't already have one.

    Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut has improved the graphic of the game greatly. The newly added Iki Island brings new stories and challenges, and further extended the story background. For players who have already cleared the game, playing the Director's Cut version is still an unforgettable experience.

    It’s more of a regular DLC paired with some improvements for the PS5 rather than a true director’s cut. However, the developers do deserve praise for how skillfully they inserted the expansion into the narrative of the base game. The story about Jin’s past and the sins of ancestors is great (as opposed to boring side quests), new enemies pose a challenge, and the game as a whole shines on PS5’s more powerful hardware. I wish the visual improvements were more noticeable though. [11/2021, p.31]
