    On the face of it, eFootball remains a skeleton of a game in a genre where we're used to more content than we can handle and this update really adds very little to change that. But for gamers who don't want all the faff of playing through modes we've had for decades and just want to get on with building a side and having fun with them on the pitch, eFootball 2023 is a pretty good option. Especially as it's free and you never really need to spend any money on it to enjoy it.

    eFootball 2023 does so much right on the field that it becomes tough to look beyond it. However, the lack of optimization for a closs-platform title, as well as the continued scarcity of offline modes, stop this game from completing its great comeback. The turnaround has begun, but Konami's is still trailing.

If you are looking for a football simulation, there is no question, you have to play Efootball. It's more realistic! But you have to accept that it's harder, especially in passing, dribbling and controlling. You can't, for example, make a one-touch pass in the back with precision and pressure, unlike the ping-pong game of FIFA. If you have a good technical player, the game will be more fluid but without abuse. If you have a weak player, you will feel it, and that's normal!… Expand

The developers really put the emphasis here on gameplay, the game loop is fantastic and fun. Brings console football back to its glory days. The network code is a trash, graphics is "hello from 2013" and the game is not responsive in most of games (to be clear I have kinetic sprinter with wire connection to my ps5 and 500mb internet connection. My ps5 shows me ~450mb download and ~ 80mb upload - it is more then enough to play in another online games. For example I see 6-8ms ping in fifa and I can do what I want using my joypad)… Expand

    Good gameplay, except it's only made for people who like multiplayer. I miss the Master League.

    eFootball is an excellent example of how to completely ruin a loved video game. PES had a great fanbase, and it would be fun to play if you could afford to buy it, but Konami ended all that was good in Pro Evolution Soccer. This "game" has trash gameplay, less than 30 total teams, and hear me out: PLAYSTATION 2 GRAPHICS. You can literally see the pixels on your screen. It is really a SHAME that Konami just wants to get lazy money with the microtransactions (that are not micro at all). The worst part is that Knomai just deleted all old PES from EVERY VIRTUAL STORE, so you are forced to buy a DVD edition of old PES just to play it. After all, this game just sucks, do not download it or waste any money on it, Konami needs to understand that eFootball will never be better than the old PES games that had made so people happy.… Expand
