The feeling when the previous part was better. Animations were made like by 10$ freelancers. Moreover, why would they do a rpg game about zombie apocalypse?? You can't stealth kill a zombie just because it's 1 level higher than u :d. Deserved 0/10, pathetic game.

I haven’t been this hooked on a game in a long time. I can’t put it down. Great graphics, story and gameplay and last but not least, it’s not filled with a bunch of woke identity politics that makes you cringe at every scene and character.

Great game, I'm pretty happy that I've bought that game even if cost is pretty big. And for little kids from Italian that is one of the most funniest countries of world. I'm happy that Techland didn't give Italian audio and I hope this game after showing how stupid you guys are will not get it. Go change the conflict sides as always. + stop crying + none asked

I spent about 5 hours in the game, and I uninstalled it, and I'm currently selling the game at a local bazaar.

The graphics are disgusting, Techland, you're not using the power potential of the Playstation 5! There is no satisfaction from the fights, 3 animations are repeated over and over. The dark horror atmosphere that Dying Light 1 had is gone in DL2, everything what was great in

The dark horror atmosphere that Dying Light 1 had is gone in DL2, everything what was great in DL1 you took away, and you replaced it with boring and tediously annoying things. The story is stupid, the characters are stupid.

One positive thing - in our country, this game is very cheap, about $35 for the Playstation 5. But even for that price, I wouldn't recommend buying it, even if they fix the insanely many visual, gaming and technical bugs. It's outdated boredom game for 2022 and nextgen console gaming!

A mind Blowing open world !
Hidden places that you can't reach before a few hours, crafting weapons is a real pleasure.
I do love this game and the first 15 hours i've spent in.
    Well done Techland !

It's the sequel how it should be.

The gameplay was perceptibly reworked. Nights in the game now aren't so terrifying.

The sound design is amazing. I recommend you to play only using headphones.

Yes the combat does feel different but the human fighting is amazing but the zombie fighting could be a little better. The game looks beautiful there’s so much to explore and do. Next time you try to turn a sandbox game into a narrative RPG... Maybe consider NOT firing the best writer in the gaming industry?

Just another flavor of "Get woke go broke", I guess.

Every aspect of the game is worse than the first Dying Light despite the graphics which are better but not that better.

    - technicaly the game is mediocre: The animations look way worse than in the first one, killing moves, parkour all of them. - THERE ARE NO ZOMBIES. In the first one you couldn't go through the streets because they were really crowded

Overall, the game looks outdated since it looks like a 2013-14 ubisoft sandbox game with no soul.
    So disappointed.

I now played around 40 hours and in my opinion it surpasses the first game in every aspect. The gameplay is perfect and the world with its art direction and its differences during the day and during the might amazes me every time. Of course the story is not on the same level as TLOU2 or RDR2 for example, but its way better than in the fist game and i really enjoy it.
And regarding bugs etc., with 40 hours in the game already, i have encountered some bugs but by far not gamebreaking ones. Especially after the day one patch.
In conclusion, compared to the first one, what was already really good, its better in every aspect and i really really love this game!

I gave this game 5 hours of my time and turned it off because I was so bored. I played the first one to a platinum trophy and enjoyed it, but this is just the same old enemies, same old pointless side quests all dressed up in new clothes (improved graphics). I honestly could not recommend this to anyone.

    Cons:
Story- The story isn’t bad by any means however it could have been much better. Choices are cool, but don’t do enough. I honestly like the side quest more than the main quest.
Bugs- I played on the ps5 and had minimal bugs. I’ve had 1 crash so far which isn’t to bad. Only reason it’s on the cons is because it seems bugs vary.
Performance- This is kinda nitpicking, but Ps5 performance was good but not perfect. Had frame drops from time to time which were annoying. Wasn’t too bad tho. Don’t know how last gen runs so be careful.

Overall I enjoyed my time with this game. Can’t wait to get back on and play. If u want something to entertain u for a while this game is perfect. After all isn’t that why we play video games, to be entertained.

A true successor. If you want to know what the game is like, rather than read about how it doesn't have Italian or isn't the picture of perfection, than this is the review for you.

This game expands literally every aspect of the previous game from parkour, to combat to stealth and even story. The parkour has been totally overhauled, some moves have been kept but even better ones have been added. You can run on walls, chain moves easier, jump huge gaps, it feels incredible.

Combat has seen the addition of blocking, some parkour/fighting moves such as vault kicks and a new more RPG weapons system which doesn't allow for as much creativity as the first game, but it also forces you to use more than just one weapon as you can't just craft another of the same thing.

Stealth is probably the weakest area of the game but it can be important and is reasonably well done. You have your basic stealth system with tables and tall grass to hide in, but the AI is not stupid and will see you pretty easily, so it's somewhat challenging to be quiet. Maybe you like that challenge, it's not my favorite but it is what it is.

The story is honestly pretty fantastic. I hear a lot of people aren't into it but I genuinely don't understand why. The choices you make certainly feel pretty important to me, and there are some high stakes moments for sure. I would have to play through again to know how much choices matter but they seem pretty important so far. Aside from that I'm always itching to get to the next story mission, and have to force myself into side quests.

I say that like it's a bad thing, but the side quests are as good as the story if not better. They have cutscenes of the same quality as the campaign, and often tie into the main quests and in some cases can influence them, which is really interesting. Mostly though they are simple, find someone who is looking for someone else, deliver a weird package for a guy, beat the crap out of zombies with a bat that sends them to the moon, etc. There's a great variety here.

Finally, the biggest thing this game has added is the loot and crafting system. Techla d clearly wanted to make this game an RPG and they delivered. Now blueprints seem to be a bit harder to get, and once you get them they all suck. But you can upgrade them several times, with craftmasters. You could make upgrading certain tools or mods you use a lot your priority, or try to diversify. Whatever you wish, you will have to hunt special zombies like goons and bolters and others for their trophies. Subsequent upgrades are more expensive and require increasingly more rare parts. Ultimately this is about as good of a game as you will find, and it's really something special. A few bad apples are hung up on performance on PC or language options. It's 2022 after all, you need to find something to complain about or you aren't relevant apparently. Absolutely recommend and hope you found the review helpful!

Dying Light 2: Stay Human looks more like a DLC to the first game than a whole new one. This does not mean it is a bad game, but it is not one that you should rush to buy. It looks and feels like you are playing the same Dying Light from years ago, and despite the storytelling being solid and entertaining, it is not enough to justify buying it right now.

Delivering a huge improvement on the first title, but lacking with new features, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is quite fun, brutal, rewarding and a game of exceptional quality when it comes to the open world. Minor issues still exist here, but Techland successfully manages to live up to the hype surrounding the game.

Dying Light 2 ups the ante from the original in almost every way, offering more satisfying parkour, combat and enough jump scares to make you never want to walk in the darkness ever again. A worthy and essential sequel.
